I would give 5 stars for the pizza because I think it's best in the OC (way better and cheaper than some of the bigger chains) but only 3 stars for the service. This was my first and only time ordering from this chain. I needed 6 pizzas for my daughter's birthday party. Nothing too crazy: a couple cheese, a couple pepperoni, and a couple veggie. But just to be considerate, I called in the order the night before. I even called the next day a few hours before the party to confirm we were good to go for my 4:30 pick up. Well, my father-in-law went to pick up the pizza at 4:25 and they didn't even start the order yet!!! He didn't get the pizzas until 4:40. Which doesn't sound bad to most adults but for a child's birthday party it was the end of the world that the food was late. Maybe this is fine for other people but it is absolutely unacceptable for me. If we put in an order ahead of time and ask for it to be ready at a certain time, it means something. It's not an Amazon delivery window, it's a deadline. I've even had places call me letting me know they are running late. I know places get busy and things happen, but own up to running behind and let me know so I could plan accordingly. We could have added an extra activity before the food arrived had we known we would have had ten extra minutes. Anyway, I asked for the pizza to be double sliced and it was very clear they were rushing. Again, not my fault. So it was hard to tear off the slices when I came time to serve them. Would I order from here again? For a party, definitely not. Unless my guests are ok waiting for late pizza. For dining with my family? Maybe. Or I might give my business to another chain that hasn't let me down. read more

My favorite local pizza place is Pizza Shack Tustin. It's in the Stater Bros. strip mall and has a few tables but most people just pick up. We've also had them deliver for our son's bday party and they were on time. The pizza is really good and they don't skimp on the toppings. The food is always ready when they say it will be. You can get a medium one topping pizza for $10 and they have different available specials. I love their pizza over any other place because they have a good crust, there's great customer service, and it's piping hot when we pick up. Parking can sometimes be a pain because of the plaza itself, but it hasn't deterred me from getting my pizza! read more

Wow does this place make a good pizza! You have to try their House Speciality Pizza. It basically has all the meat and veggies on it. I just replaced the bell peppers with pineapple (yes I like pineapple). All the way from the crust to how the cheese gets stringy, the Pizza Shack does it well. As far as the inside it's pretty out dated but still cool in its own way. It feels like the local dive bar except they serve pizzas. They have TVs for people that want to watch sports. Old school vibes pizza shop, feels like I went back in time. From the claw machines to the Ms. Pac-Man game, it sets an ambiance. The pizza was delicious too - I got the lunch special which was a slice of pepperoni pizza, garlic bread, and a soda but you also do a slice/salad/soda or 2 slices/soda for the same price ($6). It was hot and fresh and was just the perfect slice. The garlic bread was crisp on the edges and soft in the middle too. The service was amazing too, seems like the owner (or manager) is running the whole show from taking orders, cleaning, and going to the back. It's not NYC style it's more like that solid old skool, 80s pizza at the fancy sit down restaurant but it's def a east coast pizza spot with beer, sandwiches, chicken tenders meatballs etc. the mojo potatoes were also really good potato wedges crispy outside fluffy inside. Ranch dressing was the good stuff. We will be back for more pizza and maybe a monster (1lb) meatball. The seating is three rows of long tables and bench seats. It's a bit crowded space wise. 04.05.2019 Wanting to find a local pizza place to call our own I convinced hubby to let's give it a try tonight. I called in our order -- a large 1/2 vegetarian (no artichokes) and 1/2 cheese. The girl on the phone was friendly and said our order would be ready in 15-20 minutes. So hubby and I headed over and waited about 10 minutes before our order was ready. The pizza was good. The crust was light and airy but still not the crust we've had before from other pizza places that we crave. It was nice to have a lot of toppings on the vegetarian side but I think there was a little too much because the center of the pizza wasn't cooked too well compared to the side with only cheese. The veggies were just barely cooked, so the veggies were a bit crisp. I would hope for less toppings and a few more minutes in the oven to cook the veggies just a bit more. Definitely a good pizza but still looking for that crust we're craving. Hubby said their 75¢ slice special on Tuesdays is an amazing deal! He may have to come over when he's working in the area. This place makes pretty great pizza and wings and I love that it's close to my apartment complex. I just think it's not affordable for what it is.
