Pizzario is not only a great place to eat and drink, but just to hang out. The owner Mike and his partner Gayle make the place very inviting. There is live music every night of the week. Wow we were blown away last night. We first went to a sushi place but with an hour wait we decided to wander downtown and thank goodness we walked by Pizzario. It was packed so we knew that was a good sign. My fiancé and I split a salad, pizza, and the mud pie. The salad was fresh and perfect amount of dressing ( harder to find this these days than ya think ). The pizza was delicious. The crust was thin and perfect amount of crisp and the toppings super flavorful. Mud pie is our favorite dessert and theirs did not disappoint. Sitting outside on a sunny day with handcrafted pizza and a razz wheat hefewitizen was pretty much perfect. Pizza is awesome, with house made toppings and locally sourced ingredients you can really taste the quality. The crust is nice and crunchy with some good chew. The pizzas are the perfect size for 2 Adults. The staff was great and the owner Mike took the time to say hello, although I miss Earth Oven, Mike and crew are doing it right and we plan on making many return visits. read more

This is a great spot. We've been three times now and really enjoy their music! My wife thinks their pizzas are great whereas I usually order one of their pasta dishes along with a salad - first place I've seen offer a KALE salad, btw. They also have a daily soup on the menu and their desserts are pretty hard to pass up. Five of us went last week, we all ordered different dishes, and everybody was happy. Good variety of drinks and a very cheerful wait staff - a couple of them really make us laugh! Seems to be a music hot spot, even on weekdays. read more

Located where Earth Oven Pizza was, and also with wood-fired oven, but greatly remodeled and much more attractive. We had a Main Street/vegetarian split; although I prefer thinner crust, this medium-thickish version was darned good, and I ate most of it rather than leaving the usual graveyard of crusts. The sauce was excellent; my wife seemed happy with the vegetarian style which of course I left strictly for her, since except for an occasional slice of Margherita I think pizza absolutely requires some kind of sausage, preferably several. My ideal pizza remains the Via Tribulani kind, but Pizzario is open, its close to home, and it'll do just fine for me. Nice wine list; haven't heard the music yet. read more

Great new local pizza spot. We went and had about a 10 minute wait for a seat which didn't bother us. It's first come first serve. The pizza was awesome. The service could have been better as the waitress never refilled our water and I believe I was served somebody else's pizza (same kind) and my wife's came out 10 minutes after she gave me mine. We chalked it up to grand opening weekend and that won't stop us from supporting this local establishment. read more

Pizzario is the kind of place I love finding. It's got great food and drink for very decent prices, friendly service, and great ambiance. We had the spicy meat and BBQ chicken pizzas and they were both delicious! They were very hearty and satisfying and definitely a huge step above normal chain pizzas. Even though there were three of us we still took home half a pizza. The other thing that sweetened the deal was that we happened to go during their jazz night! This place is hard to beat when it comes to places to eat, drink, and relax in Hillsboro. If you're in the area and have some time for a meal, I definitely recommend stopping by Pizzario. read more

Having lived in downtown Hillsboro for two years, I hated having to commute towards Portland for anything decent to eat. I was able to try Pizzario recently and now that I moved away from Hillsboro, I am disappointed that Pizzario was not around for those two years. Pizzario sells whole pies or pizza by the slice, which is convenient for people on the go. Pizzario also offers a selection of wine for those seeking an intimate meal and beer for those casually eating out. I went for lunch service with a friend and we both ordered whole pies. I ordered the Margherita pizza while my friend had the Garlic Chicken Pesto pizza. I had read the other reviews prior to going, so I had high expectations, but even with those high expectations, the pizza managed to surprise me. The marinara sauce was aromatic, earthy and herbaceous and provided a complexity that typical pizza places in the area simply did not offer. The fresh tomato and basil provided a great balance to the boldness of the sauce. The crust was airy and perfectly charred to my liking. The Garlic Chicken Pesto pizza was equally as delicious, despite the chicken being slightly dry and tough. The 12'' pizzas were perfectly satisfying for the price. The restaurant has a very homely feel as the staff is very attentive and hospitable. Pizzario offers a welcoming and laid-back atmosphere which embodies the quaint sereneness of downtown Hillsboro. Pizzario is quite possibly the best eatery Hillsboro has to offer and will definitely become a staple of Hillsboro dining. read more

Great ambiance, great service and especially the live music. We drive down from Vancouver at least once a week, this is the only place we love in the Portland area that has live music EVERY night! Mike, the owner is very passionate about his restaurant and his love for music shows throughout. He even hosts open mic on Sundays where you can listen to all genres. We recently enjoyed the Hillsboro street fair at Pizzario's and it was what we expected with awesome music even to the point where people were dancing in the street. The wood fire pizza has been amazing each time we've been there and even trying different types of toppings. Overall, we would recommend friends to go there. It is always a memorable experience! This restaurant is a perfect addition to Downtown Hillsboro. My wife and I stopped by and had an awesome pizza, fresh salad and really great service. Had our mother's and father's day family dinners there. Great food great service love the place the food the beer selection.

The pizza was pretty good and it's in a good location. My wife got a beer too which she said was good. My only complaint was that we were sitting there for ten minutes and no one came up to take our order or bring us drinks. A few tables came in after us and the waiters took their order right away. Finally I got up and told someone we'd been waiting for a while and they said they didn't see us (questionable since we were sitting right up front and the waiters walked right past us multiple times). Once we did get service, they were nice but I can't help but be suspicious that they ignored us because of how we looked (we biked there). Overall decent experience- we'll give them another try. read more

Puzza is really good but only give them 3 stars due to price and being somewhat misleading. I went in to get a slice. Was told $4, pizzas are small but said the slices are 1/4 if a pie. They give me 1/6th of a pie. $4 for 1/6th of a pie that costs $12 total. Not worth it. If I were to go back I would get a full pie for $12 and take leftovers home. Way overpriced for a slice and don't tell people they get 1/4 if a pie when it's only 1/6th of a pie. (Pie is only 12 inches). read more

Went once for lunch and have not been back. There was one girl working during lunch and it was SUPER SLOW. I had an hour for lunch and it took so long that I only had about 15 mins to eat and pay, unacceptable. I ordered a slice and side salad, how long should that really take? Especially since the hot case was full of slices. If you don't have to get back to work, then go for it, but in my opinion the food wasn't even worth the wait. read more

A lot of ingredients are bought straight from the Tuesday and Saturday markets, and the beer, wine and cocktail list is great!
