Arrived here later in the evening around 8pm on a Friday. The guy at the front was super helpful and friendly. We ordered two 12" pizzas (equivalent to a medium pizza). It fit 4 of us with a couple of slices to spare. We ordered the pesto and pepperoni. The pesto was very good! We actually enjoyed it more than the pepperoni. We'd give them 8.5/10 :).

This looks electric especially the hot honey

Super Bowl 60 Final Edition: Union Square in San Francisco is known for different restaurants cuisines such Akiko sushi and pho at Bodega and the Michelin Star restaurant Kim Khao. Union Square even has the chainstore restaurant the Cheesecake Factory. When it comes to cheese in SF there are few places which serve good cheese cuisine On Super Bowl Sunday cheese takes center stage with over 20 million pounds consumed. These includes nachos and queso dip, cheesecake ,cheese with wine and pizza. When it comes to pizza around Union Square there a few good spots. There is a place at Union Square which serves pizza by the slice and by the pie. It's located on Offarell and it's called Union Square Pizza & Kitchen . On Super Bowl weekend stroll in San Francisco you will find round pizza pies although the pizza place is called Union Square Pizza. Just in case you need that last minute Super Bowl pizza this will be the spot if you are in downtown San Francisco. They have a pizza called the New Englander pizza for those New England Patriots fans or for those Seattle Seahawks fans who want to eat those New England Patriots for lunch and dinner for Super Bowl. Inside you will see San Francisco 49ers newspaper articles on the wall during their Super Bowl victories. I had the cheese and New Englander ( pepperoni and basil )slices. It was thin slice and a bit cheesy and saucy. The cheese had pull like some in SF. If you are for the hot honeys on the side you can also get saucy and add the Mike's Hot Honey. Get the round pizza and it don't be a square in SF by not going to Union Square Pizza & Kitchen. San Francisco has lots restaurants to eat and "compare" it is located a few blocks from the Moscone Center NFL Experience "fanfare" it's by restaurants that sell sushi and pho around "Union Square" so grab a pizza and watch the winning team win the Super Bowl trophy "hardware" You can watch the Super Bowl and best to watch it live or on "television"but if you need some good pizza in San Francisco there some pizza places from North Beach to the "Mission "some pizza are done in squares and some done deep in the Chicago "tradition" and some are done thin sliced like the ones at the Union Square Pizza "Kitchen"

LATE NIGHT EATING AT VINTAGE DECOR PIZZA JOINT I came here late Thursday night about 1 1/2 hour before closing as I didn't eat dinner. Instead of getting whole pies I wanted slices. At the time there was only one slice left on display, which was the margherita pesto. The cashier stated slices for pepperoni and cheese would be available in 15 minutes. I informed the cashier I would like to get slices of the margherita pesto and pepperoni. Even though the remaining slice of the margherita pesto was placed on a pizza tray for a while the slice was warmed up. The most important aspect of the pizza is the crust. On the margherita pesto the crust was crispy on the outside yet airy inside. Too often I've eaten pizzas with the crust having the texture of a cardboard. The slices of the tomatoes tasted sweet. I love pesto, but I couldn't taste the pesto as the pizza was laying in display for a while. After eating the margherita pesto I waited 10 minutes for the pepperoni pizza that was in the oven. How would a hot, fresh slice of pepperoni taste? Eating a bite of the hot slice of pepperoni you can taste the melted mozzarella and tomato sauce. Also I love the curled pepperoni that forms into a cup with the a small pool of grease in the center. If this slice of the hot-of-the-oven pepperoni was this tasty the margherita pesto would've tasted better had it been right out of the oven instead of sitting on a tray for a while. If you're around Union Square late at night craving for pizza Union Square Pizza & Kitchen is a place I would go to. Regarding slices of pizza I would recommend waiting for a pizza still in the oven then slices that have been laying on a tray for a while.

2 Slices + Soda for $19.55 seems a little pricey. Especially since the slices aren't huge. However, the calzone is such a hearty meal, definitely worth it! Cheese Slice: Technically, a very nice slice. The high quality tomato sauce was first noticeable to me. Lots of gooey warm cheese. And reheated crust was perfectly crispy so it didn't flop when you hold it. Meat Lovers Slice: Really was loaded with meat! Loved the pepperoni cups that curled up and had crispy edges. Thick slices of ham. Big chunks of bacon. Some sort of fancy looking sausage slices. This is definitely a lot heavier than the plain cheese Calzone w/ Pepperoni, Andouille Sausage, Ham: Calzones make me nostalgic, like somehow they were everywhere when I was a kid but now they're not. So quite excited to see it as a special here. I was very meat-centric with my order and have no regrets. It came out glistening, like it might have been brushed in butter or olive oil. Golden brown too, so very nice crust texture. Partially cut, for easier eating. Was dripping lots of gooey mozzarella. All the meat was nice. The ham was particularly memorable since it came in thick squares. Also, loved the nice cup of pizza sauce to dip it in. Overall, a really nice lunch choice.

My husband and I came on a Sunday around 6. Several people were dining in. We got 2 slices of pizza one pepperoni and one cheese pizza to go. Both were delicious, even the crust was good. All in all, a solid choice for slices if you are in Union Square. However, the customer service lacked, we weren't greeted and stood around for a few minutes before someone came to help us.

It's 10pm, you are making your way to the hotel and you are starving. This is one of the few places open late on a Thursday. Was it the best pizza of my life?, no definitely not. Was it's very expensive, yes for a 12in pizza and pasta total was $50. But honestly it hit the spot and filled us up. It's pizza you can't really go too wrong. If you are hungry and it's late, I'd eat here again. Staff were very friendly and there is a good amount of seating inside.

I would give this closer to a 3.5; the crust was good and the cheese has a pull to it but the sauce was lacking flavor. Had the pepperoni slice and pesto slice, the pesto was better. $9 a slice

I stopped in to USP before work for a slice of pizza to get prepared for a long night shift. The gentleman at the front counter was the sweetest ever! I also ordered a small Greek salad which he prepared and it was super fresh and flavorful. Finally, I ordered a slice of Nutella pie to top it all off. The pie was absolutely delightful and a must try! My only hang up was the portion size for the price. I wish the pizza slices were larger and that there were more options for toppings. Otherwise I would stop by again....maybe just for the Nutella pie though ^_^

Don't forget the delicious upgrade to ANY slice adding Hot Honey and Fresh Basil.

On my first visit, Ramy and crew were quite accommodating to my special request for cheese on only one side of the Backyard BBQ pie. Fun dining area with a couple of tall counters and bar stools as well as standard height tables and chairs. Everything we ordered was yummy. I will be back soon!

Definitely recommended! We quickly searched for pizza (something new to try) after a quick trip to SF museum. We walked in and ordered pizza. Staff was really nice and friendly. Pizza tasted really good. Please was really clean. This will be added to our pizza go to place.

I've been to Tony's a few times, and the first two times, my hub and I have left raving about it and telling all our friends and fam to get to Tony's. If any menu item says Grandma in it.... you can be sure it's an incredible pizza. They're extremely accommodating and service is great. It's a l w a y s busy, even on weekdays, even in the middle of the work day. Reservations are smart! Parking is not easy but not impossible in the area. We live in the city so we always take public transportation. Within the last 6 months, I've discovered a gluten and dairy allergy that really took me down. Without getting into the gnarly details, it wasn't fun and I've been grieving pizza since this new discovery. So why would I go to Tony's with this new allergy? Because! I read that they offer a gluten free, dairy free pizza. Insane I know, but yet they offer it and I was PUMPED. When asking the waiter what I can get based on my needs, he responded to me like I was a war criminal. He was a Caucasian gentleman with brown hair. He raised his voice for all the diners to hear about my allergies, told me I couldn't get any pizza, and when I pointed out that there were options, he told me "I'll triple check if this is possible for you." When he came back and confirmed it was possible, he tells me they can do a gluten free pizza with vegan cheese and vegan pepperoni. It felt like the moment he heard 'gluten' and 'dairy,' he mentally categorized me as 'vegan' and stopped looking for ways to make the experience enjoyable. Yikes! Lol I fully recognize - girl, why did you go to a pizza spot with a gluten and dairy allergy? Yes I am not okay for this hahah but also I felt pretty embarrassed and treated really poorly. This experience doesn't reflect Tony's as a whole, but it was just a terrible interaction and that waiter made it real clear that he has no patience for anything that is inconvenient during his work shift.

Here's how it went: Service: friendly. Once off hold on the phone, and when picking up, the staff was pleasant for sure. The space: convenient walk up counter. Love a good sticker wall, and the display was nice to have. Value: honestly reasonable, especially comparatively. Ordered a small cheese and a small garlic and clam and two people could for sure share a small. Taste: other recent reviews are hitting it on the head - while the garlic and clam was decent (3.5/5), the cheese struck a core memory of elementary school cafeteria pizza (just without the tiny pepperoni diced cubes, 2/5), and both were just lukewarm, soft/not at all crisp, and just weren't packing much flavor at all. I can see Golden Boy being a workable late night solution for the City that Goes To Bed Early, but not much else beyond that at this point. Rating 3 stars at places with nice people working is not my favorite, so I'm glad that it's an institution and has stood the test of time and truly hope that they can/will calibrate on elevating their formula here, because I want to see this place deserve the love it gets.

The pizza has charred edges like Neapolitan which adds a nice smokey flavor. The crust has zero flop and a nice golden crust on top. Sauce has a tough of sweetness. I also enjoyed their use of fresh basil and the grated Parmigiano-Reggiano they throw on at the end. It's kinda like a new york slice, but a little gourmet? Very tasty for sure. Critiques: First off, each slice is $6-7, which is a bit steep. Maybe times have changed, but this is def not a budget meal, especially if you are eating multiple slices. Second, some of their already crispy slices have been sitting on display for some time and completely cooled down. When these slices are then reheated, there is a bit of an overcooked taste? Lastly, they only have a few topping options and the quantity of toppings on each slice (especially protein) is pretty sparse. I also ordered a slice of the Sicilian as well to mix things up. It was good, but the crust was just a touch too greasy for me.

When we arrived, our waitress didn't seem very knowledgeable about the beers, but honestly, that wasn't a big deal. My boyfriend ordered his pizza while I was still deciding what I wanted. His pizza came out very quickly, which we had no complaints about. The issue started when we had barely been seated for about 15 minutes. I went to the restroom, and while I was gone, the waitress approached my boyfriend while he literally had pizza in his mouth and a full beer in front of him and told him, "My chef said to charge you." He was confused but said okay because it made us wonder if they were closing. I checked the hours, and they weren't supposed to close until 10 PM--it was barely around 9 PM. I HADN'T EVEN ORDERED MY FOOD YET. I was still planning on ordering my own pizza, dessert, and a drink. Instead, we suddenly felt like we were being rushed to pay and leave. What made the situation even more unprofessional was that she left the payment device at our table for Apple Pay and then actually left the restaurant. She was the only server we had seen around, so we were basically left sitting there with the payment device and no server. We eventually had to get up ourselves to find someone so we could ask for boxes and return their payment device. No one had even asked whether we needed boxes, wanted anything else, or were finished ordering. My boyfriend didn't even finish his beer because at that point the entire vibe had changed and we just wanted to leave. We had driven an hour specifically to try this restaurant and were genuinely excited about it, which made the experience even more disappointing. I completely understand if a server's shift is ending, but there is a professional way to handle that--especially when customers are still actively eating and one person at the table hasn't even ordered yet. Someone could have simply explained that her shift was ending and introduced whoever would be taking over our table. Instead, we were made to feel like we needed to pay and leave. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the experience. We really wanted to like this place, but being treated this way after driving an hour to come here was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
