Cheese pull

So I have been wanting to try this place I always see it just never went in. It's sold style looking restaurant. It wasn't super busy they did have a lot of tables. We ordered the supreme pizza with ranch and ice tea. It was good I loved the crust. The waiter was nice. I will say the wait time does take a while but what do you expect when getting pizza. Will definitely have to try something else

I enjoyed the pizza here, rating on the lower end due to the service. Our wait to sit was 40 minutes, it ended up being actually close to an hour. We were sat at a large table that was split between us and another group. We didn't get our waters or any acknowledgment for about 10 minutes once we were sat. Our appetizer took 40 minutes to come out, followed by our pizza 5 minutes later. When we asked for a set of Parmesan and red pepper flakes, we were told to share with the other party at our shared table, to which we said no, they are using it. The waiters response was to bring us about 5 packets total of the togo Parmesan and pepper flakes, not the actual glass containers they serve in house. (For 4 people). It was very rude response, paired with the incredibly long wait time, leaving a bad taste in my mouth. The actual pizza was tasty, a good ratio of cheese to toppings to bread.

Burnt bread covered in sauce - those aren't toppings, just burnt soggy bread.

Been going here for 20+ years, ALWAYS exception. But not today. My recommendation, don't order for delivery. No bag or sticker to seal the box and on the verge of cold when delivered. Maybe 15 Mac nut pieces in the whole thing when they are usually piled. Specifically asked for it to not be burnt, but those hunks of brown that look like meat - nope! Burnt bread. No customer satisfaction guarantee- maybe that's not a thing anymore, because when I called the worker couldn't care less that our pizza was trash . $40 for a 12" pizza is too much to have it be made so gross.

Cheese Pizza - Deep Dish -- Large (+$2.50)

Definitely a family establishment, noted staple to the community. Seated were families and groups of friends. We came here for the deep dish pizza as I have been on a search for one to match that of my old hometown. It was good but wasn't exactly what we were expecting. The crust was delicious and tasted of fresh dough. The cheese however had an interesting taste to it once it started cooling down. We also got the mozzarella pizzette which had a great portioned sauce to cheese ratio. All in all good pizza. Just barely missing the mark of my search for a deep dish to match my favorite from home.

Small salad with ranch was exactly that

This place does NOT have hard liquor. Its beer and wine only however, you can get a drink from the restaurant upstairs and come here for dinner, which is exactly what we did. You smell the garlic right when you walk in and it smells AMAZING. We ordered the garlic chips which were DELISH! Then we ordered a small Siciliana and wow, it was SO FLAVORFUL! The service was also excellent. We would highly recommend this place AND will be back next time were in Old Folsom. This place is a must try!

The staff was very friendly and prompt and they really helped me figure out what flavors I wanted to try. I chose a deep dish and every component of the pizza was flavorful and worked together.

This place is good but it's not wow good it's pretty good though. I had a combination deep dish pizza and it was OK. I wouldn't recommend that as a deep dish but it was OK. We had a lot of leftovers. Their pesto chips was amazing. Definitely recommend that but they are not chips. FYI. The customer service is really good. Our guy was very nice to help us out. His name is Jason and yeah, drinks are great.

Pizzeria Classico is truly a find in historic Folsom. It's one of those places where, right from the doorstep, the welcoming staff make you feel like family. Cozy atmosphere, with its charming rustic décor, will be perfect for date nights, family outings, or catching up with friends. The pizza? Well, it is totally delicious-from each fresh taste interaction to that bit of crunchy-soft crust and just flooded with flavor. Whatever pizza, pasta or salad you order, it will be delicious and full of flavor. On this visit we enjoyed a large Chicken Alfredo/Belly Bomber. The pizza loaded with toppings and provided enough food for 4 adults plus a few slices to go. Note that parking can be a bit tricky, especially during weekends and evenings when this place gets bustling. But believe me, the food and experience are worth the effort. For a perfect slice in the heart of Folsom, Pizzeria Classico is not to be missed!

Ambiance: No TVs to watch sports; which was nice! Plain old school pizzeria. Service: Excellent. From the Greeter to Server. Food: We got the large Supreme Classico. Very yummy and perfect amount of toppings. Loved the fact that the sauce was lite; without asking. That kept pizza from sliding around. This is the place to grab a pie!

Great hometown feel. Cozy and comfortable. Wasn't busy. Food was very good. Tasted fresh.

Pizzeria Classico serves some of the best pizza you'll find within 100 miles--hands down. Their combination pizza is outstanding, loaded with fresh veggies, flavorful sausage, and just the right balance of ingredients. The garlic chips are absolutely heavenly--crispy, rich with flavor, and seriously addictive! I've been coming here for years, 10 plus years, and the quality never changes: always delicious, always consistent, and always friendly service. It's the kind of place that feels like home. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates great pizza and warm hospitality!

I believe I found them thru Yelp while looking around at cities on the way back to SJ. We walked in and easily got a table. The space is pretty big. I was worried I may be too dressed down. I was in athleisure and a comfy sweatshirt, but there were people in shorts and t-shirts, so no real dress code here. Dinner started with a complimentary cheesy kinda garlicky bread. The hubs enjoyed that. The scallops were an app. A lil dry. I think due to the way they seared it. But it was a good size with three scallops. The house salads were a nice intro into our mains. A good portion for a an inclusion. My pasta was huge. Plenty of seafood and sauce. And it was nice and creamy which was what I was craving. The hubs sole was fine. I'm not a huge lemon caper person, but it was a good temp. I don't believe the broccoli was sauteed in anything so it's just seemed veg. I like broccoli by itself, so this was fine with me. Nice impromptu stop on the way home. REVIEW #4038

Parking is convenient (as long as there are no big events going on in the area). Reservations: Highly recommended- the restaurant is quite small, so it may be hard to get a table on a busy night. Reservations were easy to make online. Service: Excellent, our server was kind and attentive. Food was brought out timely and we did not feel rushed. Ambiance: The interior of the restaurant is simple, yet classy. The exposed brick on the main wall adds a historic and rustic touch. Minimal decor, but clean and comfortable. There are only 6-7 tables and maybe 10 seats at the bar, so it is an intimate setting and quiet enough for good conversation. DRINKS: I ordered the Pinot Grigio, which was crisp and delicious. Not a particularly generous serving, but quality was good. FOOD: Bruschetta- Four perfect bites of creamy and just sweet enough honey burrata, fuji apple, prosciutto on a grilled ciabatta slice. They were topped with a rich and flavorful balsamic vinegar. These were on the smaller side, but were just the right amount to save room for the incredible pasta. We really enjoyed these. Busiate- We both ordered this pasta dish because the photos looked amazing. My partner ordered it as it comes with the smoked bacon, red onion, fresh mozzarella, vodka sauce. I had it without the bacon and added pan roasted prawns on top. This dish was absolutely divine-- the sauce was creamy, flavorful, with just a hint of spice. The grilled onions added a smokiness and slightly crispy texture. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly, and the shape lent itself very well to carry the sauce. The four prawns were cooked well and really complimented the overall flavors. Affogato with Cherry chip gelato- I'm a total sucker for an Affogato and this one did not disappoint. The gelato was amazing- delicious rich cherry flavor with cherry chunks and chocolate chips. Overall, I highly recommend Bella Maci and we will certainly be back!

The flavor was good, but the tomatoes were served quite cold. I think it would have been better if they had at least been room temperature. We both ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with bucatini. The portion size was large, which was nice considering the dish is $32. The chicken was tender and crispy. It was also my first time trying bucatini, and I enjoyed it. I had no idea hollow noodle pasta existed, so that was a fun surprise. I was only able to eat about half of the dish, but it made for good leftovers the next day for lunch. Overall, the food was fine but nothing especially memorable. When I made the reservation through Resy, I selected that we were celebrating a birthday. There was a handwritten birthday card at the table, which was a nice touch. At the end of the meal, we told our waitress we were too full and didn't want any dessert. Despite that, she still brought out a small tiramisu with a candle. I thought it was a nice gesture and assumed it was complimentary, so I was surprised to see a $10 charge on the bill. I wasn't sure if that's standard at some restaurants when you note a birthday on the reservation, but it was my first time experiencing that. I briefly considered asking about it, but it felt awkward in the moment, so I just paid for it and didn't make an issue of it. Since she had already brought it out for us, I did force myself to eat a few bites. The tiramisu itself was soggy, and I also didn't like that it had chocolate syrup on top, which felt a bit unusual to me since I've never had tiramisu served that way before. Overall, we had a pleasant dinner and service was good, but for the price, the food was just okay.

Being…read morethat it was Friday night we decided to make our way towards Chili's where we found this Pizza & Pasta Restaurant called Skipolinis. To me it sounded Italian and being Half-Italian myself, I have to try this place. Like I always do since I'm fond of my Italian heritage. We parked and with plenty of parking we got out of the car and walked up to the front door. As we walked in we were greeted with a friendly young man who had asked if there was just the 2 of us. As we sat down we were then greeted by our Waiter who had asked what would we like to drink. As we were reviewing the menu trying to find something good, I noticed that they had Spaghetti with Marinara and so being that you could also add Meatballs, Chicken or Italian sausage I chose the Meatballs. The waiter advised that the Meatballs were made with Ground Beef & Pork and to my statement "Thats great, I'll take 3 please" It was no more than 5 - 10 minutes that our food arrived. I took a bite of my Meatballs and let me tell you that took me back to my Childhood when my Nonna used to make homemade Meatballs. I chose Penne noodles because I didnt really want regular Spaghetti. My wife chose the Eggplant Parmesan and when she bit into the Eggplant, (The cooking of an Eggplant should be tender) hers was crunchy as if you were biting into an Apple that was almost tender. My wife enjoyed her Spaghetti and Alfredo sauce but she also took a bite of my bread as well. She wasn't really to happy with the Eggplant so the waiter graciously said that he would bring us some Meatballs in replace of the Eggplant since it was crunchy. He returned with 5 Meatballs and just like the ones that I was eating they too were Hot & also delicious as well. Our Waiter Brandon was very friendly, accomodating, Professional and did what he could to make our first time experience at Skipolinis a great experience. The next time we come we are probably gonna try the Calzones and I was very disappointed to know that while they are on the Menu, they didnt have any Cannolis. That's okay, the food was good enough that we will be back. Thanks Skipolinis for some great food and great experience. We will be back.

We showed up at 4:17pm to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. We were the only people there for about 25 min or so. We ordered a prosecco & beer - not sure if the beer was in a bottle or on tap, but hubs beer was not fully poured. (I saw someone else order a beer a bit later and it was to the brim.) She forgot the beer so it didn't come out for a bit. No big deal. You get bread and there are big bottles of oil and balsamic on the table which is always a plus. The bread had good flavor and was thick however it was kind of dried out tasting as if it were exposed to air for a bunch of hours before being served. We ordered the clam chowder for an appetizer. It was a thick chowder, but good and extremely hot (caution: I burned the roof of my mouth on the first bite pretty bad, after letting it cool a few minutes.) I also ordered a Caesar salad which was pretty good. Main course we had the lobster ravioli and the braised wild boar. We saw and over heard the two waitresses tell the cooks repeatedly that the sauce on the plate was way too thin and it needed to be thicker.. (the cooks just stared at them) moments later that same plate came to my table. I tried the sauce and it was cold as was the ravioli. I don't generally like to send back food, but this dish is $36 and shouldn't be cold. Our waitress was very apologetic about it and immediately took it back and had them remake it. Meanwhile, my husband was digging into his braised wild boar dish. It came with some cooked veggies, a thick chunky mashed potato tiny scoop and the boar on the bone with gravy. The flavor was pretty good.. we didn't care for how thick and chunky the mashed potatoes were and the boar itself was mostly a huge bone & a ton of fat. It was good but we wouldn't order it again, it's not worth the $38 price for the amount you get to eat. My hubs was practically done eating by the time my lobster raviolis came back out. Our server was again very apologetic for the cold food and said she had them make a whole brand new dish. I tried them, the sauce was warmer but not thick or hot and the raviolis were warmer but not hot. I just thanked her and ate them because I was hungry and it's not worth waiting any longer. The lobster tasted overcooked but the sauce was good. Meh. We decided to get desserts to go so we ordered the pistachio tiramisu and the pistachio cake. We got the check and Kathy told us she took care of my drink and one of the desserts for the mess up on my dinner. We thought that was nice. ......Till we got home and tried the desserts. They were bad.... The cake tasted dried out and old. The tiramisu was disgustingly sour like sour milk and definitely was bad. We threw it all away. I had high hopes because we first went here on a beginning date 4.5 years ago and we had delicious food and they had this delicious limoncello cake with the best light airy frosting, but I'm pretty disappointed because we set this date a few weeks back to come back and celebrate us and it was below mediocre and unfortunately we will not be back. It appears to be a place directed at older people and now they have Groupons? ...The prices are crazy high for what you get. Meh.
