Came here for the first time to treat myself. Parking was easy and there was plenty. The service was excellent and I got to sit right at the bar and watch them make all the pizzas! I ordered the steamed clams with bread. It was so delicious and fresh! I had their Giovanni pizza and the toppings were definitely plenty. I'm not sure if I'm just used to the crust on the pizza or because of all the toppings, but some parts of it was mushy in texture. It was still really good. Just a texture thing. We picked this spot for dinner with friends, we had an event at the Museum of Flight and needed something nearby. With only having location as the main basis for picking this restaurant, we didn't have expectations. This place was delicious! Absolutely everything- meatballs, salad, pizza. I've seen this place for over a decade now but never gone in until last night. It's very homey and cute inside. I finally took the plunge to go because my friend said this place is better than Tutta Bella. We ordered the Vomero (prosciutto and arugula) and Enzo (rapini and sausage) (both 12 inch pizzas) and both had a delicious, non-soggy crust that was soft and well-baked. There was plenty of toppings on both pizzas, but I do wish there was a little more prosciutto on the Vomero. The sausage they used was delish and I never had rapini before but I ended up loving it. Pizzas came out FAST! It felt like under 5-10 minutes! One pizza should be enough for 1-2 people. I overhead that they can do split toppings on 1 pizza but it could only have 1 sauce. Total for 2 pizzas was about $46 after tax. I look forward to coming back and trying more! Service was fine but it did feel a little rushed. For instance, we were almost finishing up but I was still eating when we got asked if we wanted our leftovers boxed. Admittedly, it was getting pretty crowded so I understand if they wanted open tables. They boxed the leftovers for us which was nice. Only concern I had was that they seated us in a small table in the corner by the bar where the chili oil, red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper were on this little shelf that also showed old pictures. The shelf and pictures were very dusty and every time my boyfriend grabbed the red pepper flake bottle I was afraid the dust would sprinkle onto the pizzas. We stayed almost next door to this place during our trip to Seattle, and this quickly became a favorite. Their pizzas are expertly made in a wood fire oven. It was not cooked enough and even though I had paid $2.50 extra for anchovies on my Margarita pizza, they were few and far between. A small little spot on Rainier Ave in between Seattle and Renton. Parking is small if the restaurant is packed so I highly suggest just street parking. It has some dining tables as well as a small bar area but it is most definitely cozy. I recommend making reservations if you have the opportunity to. The service was great; our waitress was super friendly and helped answer all our questions. Despite a packed house, she made sure to always check in on us and make sure we were okay. The wait for our food didn't take too long either. It was our first time here so we wanted to try a little of everything. The use a wood fire method to cook the pizza and it showed in the smokiness of each pizza. Our personal favorite pizza definitely had to be the Giovanni. You could taste the separation of flavors from the sauce and toppings but also taste how each piece complimented each other. The dough was on the softer side which was something we had to get used to but that didn't matter because the flavors were definitely there. While the other dishes we tried were also good, it wasn't something that screamed "come back for more" to me. Will definitely be back for the pizza. The desserts were so yummy that I didn't even get a chance to take a picture. The Cannoli is definitely the must try but make sure to order it early or ask before your meal to make sure they don't run out because they definitely do run out (we came back the next day to order some to-go since they ran out the night prior). read more

This Napolitano pizza joint deserves all the hype! The crust, the toppings (but you really only just need the margarita), the wine, the breadsticks!! We always get the caesar which is dressed to perfection and the Sorrento and the Margarita - they're amazing. Full of flavor, perfect crust and texture, and served fresh from the oven. The cheesecake is super yummy for dessert as well. The ambience of this place is also really great - it just feels truly Italian. The second time we went, we couldn't even get in. For the suggestion box: start taking reservations. In response to the owner, I've been told multiple times by staff that the restaurant does not take reservations, as I have tried to make one on more than one occasion. Now, because the owner was so rude in his response to my legitimate review, I'm lowering the rating from 3 to 1. I wouldn't bother returning to Pulcinella OR Vince's in Burien (which we frequent). We went to this FANTASTIC RESTAURANT last night for a birthday dinner - we have never been disappointed! That's why it's so popular! We had 4:30 pm reservations, but we had to wait until 5:00 pm and split into separate tables because a lady who finished her meal and paid her bill at 4:00 pm refused to leave her seat (she had her young daughter with her). When the staff told her there was a large party waiting with a 4:30 pm reservation, she got combative - telling them that it wasn't her problem - "they should have blocked off the tables." The staff and management were so gracious to her, her daughter, and our party. They tried everything including offering her another table. Nope. She parked there recording herself on her iPad while her daughter played on a switch until 6:00 pm when the police arrived. What can you do with restaurant squatters? Kudos to the staff and management at Pizzeria Pulcinella - they made the best of a lousy situation and we had a WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY DINNER! Pizzeria Pulcinella is the closest thing to Neapolitan pizza from southern Italy. Not only is the pizza good but they have the best Caesar salad I have ever had. Their lasagna is also very good! This pizza is very close to what you'd find in Italy which is rare to see in Seattle. I'm from New York and though I love New York pizza the most, you still gotta give it to real Italian style. Prices could be better but seems to be in line with what other places charge (with the exception of mod pizza). The pizza is large enough to share if you get a salad or a side. Don't believe any recent negative reviews, just some crazy lady who decided she was going to make a scene and refused to leave (She was apparently there for HOURS after paying her bill), loud and rude to staff and other customers, recording people without consent and refusing to stop, playing videos/music on devices at loud volume, your basic entitled rude person stuff. Staff were AWESOME, and handled the situation very professionally. I haven't had to deal with someone acting SO unhinged and over-the-top being so antagonistic before, so the staff's professionalism (seriously, they have amazing patience) were hugely appreciated. Needless to say, everyone is welcome at this spot and you get lots of people from all over Seattle and Renton coming to this great little spot! This is one of those great melting-pot local establishments that I love about the PNW. This was the only time I had ever seen someone causing an issue, this place is super mellow. I definitely recommend the lasagna, fresh mozzarella caprese, and meatballs, but honestly it is tough to go wrong! If you like spicy, definitely try the Diavola pizza! The specials are also awesome, with a huge crazy calzone on the menu right now.
