Pizza of the day
Andrew W.

We went to Pizzeria Testa late on a weeknight and sat outside and it was pretty crowded. They have some games for kids too! Our arancini was tasty and our pizza was good too but not necessarily the best pizza we've had. Our server was very nice and it was a good environment. Not a bad place for a pizza but I would probably look around for another place before coming back.

Capricciosa

This pizza is the closest to an Italian pizza in Dallas I could find! The dough is just like the one my father makes, the crust is thin and the cheese is abundant and of high quality!! The Ortolana I ate was just like the one I would eat in Rome! I'm so glad I found this pizzeria so I can take a small slice of home with me even in Texas! The server was also super kind and cordial and took the time out of the busy day to take a picture of our whole group!! Amazing experience all around!

One of my favorite restaurants, and its a fight for top 3 pizza shops for me. Ones a chain, ones a nyc style pizza place and pizzeria testa. So they all get their own respective categories. They have a "meter long" pizza option with our four pizza choices which is cool and all for the aesthetics but I think the round boi's taste better. I HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest getting the Rodfather, it comes with Spianata which makes it spicy and good. The Marinara pasta was not bad. too fresh and light for our american palate. This is my 4th time and counting coming here.

Visited this place for a bday dinner on a Saturday night. Drinks Fragolino Press - yes Summer Peach Mule - no--too much ginger beer Espresso Martini- yes Food Metro Mista- Salsiccia & Funghi, Quattro Formaggi, Pesto, and Bianca- the slices were bigger than expected. I enjoyed the Salsiccia & Funghi the most. Fusilli Pesto- not much flavor Rigatoni Bolognese- very good The salads- just ok. The customer was a 10/10

Arancini

Delicious food with a great atmosphere. The pizza was thin crusted and cooked perfectly to be crispy and a little chewy. The Arancini was good and the filling was the right balance of creaminess. The kale salad was flavorful with the Gorgonzola, bacon, and lemon vinaigrette giving it a nice salty balance with the kale. The mushrooms and sausage with the tomato sauce was a great combo. Overall a nice evening out. I'd recommend snagging a table on the patio if the weather is nice. And definitely get reservations for the weekend.

Margherita sbagliata

I immediately ordered with my eyes because of photos of perfect leopard charred spots on the crust. Their margherita is great, but it spills its guts with each bite. Although the dough is chewy and each ingredient is high quality, instead of binding on the crust together, the sauce and the cheese just slide off and the pie is really soggy. Quite a mixed feeling after my first bite. I'll allow fork and knife for this one.

My love for pizza really exploded when I came here. Interior is nice and the staff is friendly. They have electronic menus to minimize contact. Our pizzas were crispy, chewy, and tasty in all the right places. We also got the arugula salad with it. I think alone it was a bit peppery but when you eat it with the pizza, it's the best combination.

When the power went out, there were guests who were stuck in the elevator... For 90 minutes! The Dallas Fire Department had to come and extricate people from all 4 elevators. Some people were forced to climb up 7 flights of stairs to get to our floor. Other guests ended up leaving the wedding altogether because we just never knew WHEN the lights and power were going to come back on. There was no back up generator or power source that the building could draw from. We were not able to start the wedding reception until AFTER 10pm! There was a quinceañera on another floor, and a 70th birthday party being held on a different floor. Everyone had NO POWER! (To be fair, when my mother came to check out this venue the week before the wedding, she said she had to take the stairs down, b/c the power went out then too - in the middle of the day!!!!) So for over 1 hour, our vendors were not able to serve our 400 wedding guests! I lost an hour of service from every single vendor - which ended up totaling over $12,000 lost. When I contacted the owners of the venue, they refused to take any accountability, saying they were not at fault. They refused to refund us even a fraction of the amount that we were owed. They refused that they owed us anything at all! We spent months trying to work out an agreement / negotiate compensation with the owner, to no avail. Nothing. Not even a dime. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU CHOOSE ANY OTHER VENUE FOR YOUR EVENT! IT'S NOT WORTH WASTING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY... SPEND A LITTLE EXTRA AND BOOK YOURSELF A DECENT VENUE. I would give this place 0/5 stars if I could. I highly do NOT recommend.

We were amazed at how much space there is. The back room got pretty tight when we first arrived since there was a group of 12 there already....they had taken over the tall tables in the middle and the couch. We slowly spread out and then their time was up about half way through ours so it wasn't as cramped. But it's still such an awesome set up we couldn't stop talking about it the next day!

The Filter Building? More like The Furnace Building--because attending a wedding here in May felt…read morelike celebrating vows inside an actual oven. Choosing this place for a Texas summer wedding is practically sabotage, and I'll tell you why. Picture this: the bride, groom, officiant, and wedding party forced to stand directly facing the blazing sun at 5pm (all to get the lake in the background). Guests are sitting in direct sunlight, melting, turning the ceremony into an unbearable endurance test. Everyone spends hours getting ready, wearing designer, only to have your blazer turn into a portable sauna, your undershirt is now marinated in your own sweat, and your deodorant taps out like "I wasn't built for this." If you think alcohol will make this better, think again! You can't of catch a buzz because it's so hot that any alcohol consumed immediately escapes through your pores. If you thought you'll just go inside for relief, you'd be wrong again! Expect the interior temperature of the building only marginally cooler than outside, maybe a toasty 90 degrees. Once the doors mercifully open to the building, there's a mad dash to the smallest bathroom in Texas--three tiny stalls and one pathetic sink to service a crowd of sweaty survivors. Mirror? Vanity space? Not here. Prepare to freshen up makeup elbow-to-elbow with strangers, in line, like you're waiting for a ride at Disneyland (minus any of the joy). After exiting the bathroom you'll see the long, hallway-like layout. This narrow layout ensures that anyone seated towards the back misses everything happening on the stage. Guests were left shouting conversations over deafening acoustics and cheap concrete flooring. The cramped table arrangement created constant traffic jams and awkward, uncomfortable pathways just to move around. Outside was equally dreadful. The ceremony area was poorly designed, with an embarrassingly short aisle that robbed the bride of a proper procession. Photography conditions were awful, marred by either glaring sunlight or the shadow of the building (no sunset views). The spider-webbed oak trees added to the unkempt appearance, signaling neglect and lack of care. Parking was another disaster, forcing guests to navigate through a rough, unpaved secondary lot, making an already unpleasant experience even worse. Finally, if you were hoping for some redeeming aesthetic charm, sorry. You'll find none in this ugly orange-brick box inconveniently located far from any decent bars or entertainment. Brides, unless your dress code includes swimsuits and flip-flops, pick literally anywhere else for your summer or early fall wedding. Designed with an all white palate, the space is large enough to accommodate a modest - sized event(under 200) while still feeling intimate. There were only about 20 parking spaces directly in front of the building and the caterer had their delivery trucks occupying about 5 of those precious few (not a good look at a formal event).
