Sam was amazing and took good care of us and we were pleasantly surprised how good our Diablo pizza was. I asked them to put honey on the side and it was perfect to dip my crust in. The place is small, but they do have a 900° pizza oven and it takes minutes to cook the pizza the crust was perfect and my husband loved the pepperoni and the sauce. This month they have about a 10 maybe 12 seat shared table. And about five seats at a standup bar perfect. We also have homemade gelato. My only complaint is. There was a person working there that had short, dark hair, tall and thin, and they waited on tables. Well, she wasn't friendly. And the way that she served our water and everybody else's water, was disgusting. She put her fingers on the top of the glass where people put their mouths. I never saw her wash her hands the entire time I was there. I put an example of what I'm talking about in this review. my overall experience because of the pizza and Sam I would definitely go back. I WOULD RECOMMEND

My husband and I really enjoyed the veganara pizza with house made cashew cheese and pesto. There was lots of both on the pizza and it was delicious. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! We went to the original location - it doesn't have much seating on the inside and was quoted a wait for 40 minutes on a Sunday night. We opted to sit outside on the patio - there are heaters but it's not super strong - however, the staff was super accommodating about it! This location doesn't have a Ceasar salad but we ordered the mixed greens one and enjoyed it. I liked the crisp of the pizza and the notes of honey that would come through. I won't say this is my favorite - but I would consider it a solid place!

The flavors and textures here are perfect. The pizza dough was chewy and crispy all at the same time, everything was perfect. The plate of tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and bread was definitely worth getting. The service was excellent, everyone was nice. The inside was like walking into a cozy pizza corner in Italy, it was an intimate type of space. 10/10 recommend!

Went to Flagstaff for the day and stumbled into this restaurant at the corner. We immediately loved the ambience and the warmth of the interior of this restaurant. There was a lot of stuff present at the time so we were able to be served quickly. We started with the warm olives, which is now my new favorite way to eat olives. They finished it with lemon sauce, which was a great touch for pizza. We got the SS - 145 and added mushrooms and prosciutto. Unfortunately, I really did not enjoy the taste of the pizza and did not think the almonds and white sauce went well together. I did see a table get a red sauce pizza which did not seem very saucy, and therefore, I will probably be trying other pizza spots before returning to this one in Flagstaff because of different preferences.

We're so happy to try this place and get a little after opening for a seat! They get busy on weekends so be aware but the pizza comes out extremely fast so hopefully not a huge wait time if you do have to wait. Our service was nice and we all ordered different pizzas. We first ordered the rosemary focaccia which was good but nothing crazy to write home about. I got the white base carne dolce with pepperoni instead of the sausage. Probably the best pizza I've tried not too saucy or cheesy with a sweet flavor and chewy crust. The diavola was also ordered and it tasted so yummy. It was spicy so if you can't have spicy maybe skip this one. We sat outside because there isn't a ton of seating so be warned due to the weather.

Service was great and my favorite was their input in which pizza was their personal favorite. Most people are scared to do as such. Ambiance was clean and cozy with the unique build shape. Amazing pizza! Well cooked. Good variety of toppings to choose from on the menu. The crust was the best part. It was thin, chewy and well baked. The inside was small and intimate. If going during a busy time, I would be prepared for a wait to be seated. It is worth the wait! The service was fast once you were seated. I definitely would come back next time I'm in Flagstaff

Went there at 7:50 pm and waited for over 30 mins. This place was packed. We ordered two pizzas, DIAVOLA and AMORE OI MARI, a red and a white pizza. Diavola was meaty and juicy, with the sweet touch of honey, and Amore oi mari was loaded with tons of arugula, the flavor was so strong, both tasted good and the crust was so soft, the only thing to complain was the bottom was too burnt and a little bit affected the flavor (bitter). Gelato flight is a must! My favorite flavor is coffee, nice as the end of meal. The staff were so kind and even we ate over time (over 9:00 pm), they didn't rushed us to finish (there were still so many people eating at that time). The overall atmosphere was great, cozy and chill.

Pizzicletta was a great find , wood fired pizza was very delicious. Pepperoni pizza was spicy with delicious flavor , wife loved the salad. Would have been even better if they sold diet soda and ranch, other than that place was clean , staff were polite and professional.

the pizza was delicious with a great appetizer with burrata! the service was fast with much more outdoor seating options than indoor. was a nice in between spot to stop at in between a drive from sedona to grand canyon.

Was recommended Pizzicletta by several friends from Flag! We checked it out on a weekday night and it was super busy, but we got a spot at the communal table which I'd say is the best place to sit if you want to watch the pizza making in action. I'm a huge fan of wood fired pizza and a mix of good ingredients like arugula evoo and prosciutto. Our pizzas took about ten minutes which was amazing and service was great, even with a packed restaurant. My only complaint would be that I was expecting the dough to be a little bit more bubbly and done on the bottom, it was missing this like most wood fired pizzas I've had. We got chocolate sea salt and olive oil gelato before we left which I would highly recommend. I'm coming back ! Make sure you go to next door to Mother Road for a night cap!

Whoa. If you like cheese you HAVE to get the Tres Formaggio cheese platter. It came with three DELICIOUS different cheeses along with smoked apple and a little bit of flat bread. We also got the house special which was bomb. But DEFINITELY get the cheese plate if you like cheese. AWESOME find! read more

I had the margarita pizza. The pizza was good over all, the dough was light and soft, the cheese was fresh as well as the basil. Over all it was a decent pizza. The ambiance was very nice. The restaurant is very small so get there early or plan on sitting outside. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable on the Flagstaff area. The pub next door Called Mother Road Brewing Company serves their food as well so if you can't don't seating there walk over to the Brewing Company. read more

My girlfriend told me this place was really good and always busy, i have eaten in over 50 places in the 50 states and last night we went here to eat, waited 2 hours to get in and was disappointed! Pizza had a ton of arugula on it and the crust was bland And tasteless! Had a side if italian salami and i think one piece that i saw on pizza! Why the big wait and hype!! I have no idea?? Would never go there again!! Too noisy and would give a rating 2 for pizza!! read more

We came to Pizzicletta twice during our 3 week stay in flagstaff! They have a nice outdoor space with heaters for the cold. All of the pizzas we tried were delicious! The nduja and soprisatta added great flavor to the pizzas and we added mushroom, too! Yum! read more

Love love love this place. Pizza is not my favorite food overall but enjoy the olives. What keeps us coming back is the atmosphere. Dogs are welcome in the porch and kids welcome anywhere inside. Appreciate that they work in conjunction with Dark Sky Brewery. Good times. read more

Meh. I'm surprised people told me this was the best pizza in Flagstaff. The crust had good flavor but if you're looking for East Coast or Italian-style pizza, this is not it. Crust is chewy but has no crunch to it whatsoever. Was a bit underdone. I ordered the arugula-Parmesan pie expecting it to be nicely cooked but it's just a tomato pie with raw arugula & shaved parm piled on top. Really not a fan of this serving/preparation method. Sauce is also quite thin and acidic. Margherita pizza crust was straight soggy/gummy and though the cheese was nice, there was barely any basil on it. All in all I think this place is a good idea but poorly executed. There is much better pizza elsewhere. I wouldn't seek this place out again. read more

Perfect, cozy romantic dinner on a chilly night. What I appreciate the most is that they use local and organic ingredients for the most part that are not quite accessible to most people. The pizza truly melts in your mouth after taking a bite. Their pizza is more soft and thin like true Neapolitan pizza rather than crispy and thick. I couldn't eat the pizza. The dough was way under cooked: soft and gooey, really it turned my stomach. I have to credit the staff however; they had absolutely no problem with giving me a full refund.I ended up at Fratelli's next-door and had a good basic crispy crust pizza. read more

Service is attentive and friendly . Pizza sauce a touch bland but a pinch of salt would bring it to life easily . I think the pricing is fair for getting a pizza in a quick 3 minutes ! :) starter was good but found the pizza not fully cooked on the thicker crust . Can't believe these 5 star ratings. Pizza is ok, but nothing special and I've had the same or better wood fired pizza elsewhere. Floppy pizza with mediocre sauce. Seating is tight and uncomfortable. Actually, The whole place is tight and uncomfortable. They seemed more interested in getting us in and out instead of providing a good experience/environment. read more

This was our first time at Pizzicletta. My husband and I thought the service was excellent! Every staff member at the restaurant was really nice. We started with a house salad which was really good. We also ordered special of the day. The pizza doe is so soft and the sauce is very tasted. We defiantly will be coming back to try their other pizza and cheese! Pizzicleta has the best pizza ever!!! But besides that the Veganara at their dark sky location is out of this world for vegan pizza. You really can't go wrong regardless of your choice of pizza here; the crust is an incredibly delicious sour dough and is always cooked to perfection, never too crispy nor too soft in my opinion. The pizza was remarkable! The staff was all so very kind and recommended some delicious pizzas. I ordered the 4 sampler of the limoncello and the digestive bitters for dessert. I'm a big fan of Pizzicletta. The best part is that they serve their food at the brewery next door as well! Their pizzas are unlike your typical fare which I love. Very light, unique and delicious. I also highly recommend their desert. They have a rotating selection of gelato/sorbet/ice cream. They do a fantastic job with it. read more

While there aren't a ton of vegan options, everything is modifiable. We got a cheese free Margherita with vegan n'duja whjch was so great! AMAZING. Can't say enough about how fresh and tasty it was. Go here if you want some quick bites. read more

I went to this pizza place when I was in Flagstaff and I was extremely impressed. My group and I got three different pizzas and everyone liked them all! We also got a couple of the appetizers/starters. The pizzas were perfectly cooked and had wonderful flavors. My favorite was the Margherita pizza. I also got the chocolate sea salt gelato. This was the best gelato I ever had in my entire life! It was super rich so I only ate half of it but I wish I could have ate more. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good pizza and gelato. The service was quick as well! We sat at the brewery (Mother Road Brewing Co) that is next door because there was better seating! (Just a tip for those who want to eat at this pizza place and they don't have a lot of seating!) read more

Coming to Pizzicletta was the highlight of our night. We loved sitting outside because the weather was perfect and we got to watch the sky change colors as the sun set. The wine was perfect and the pizza was incredible! Our waitress, Kaity, was very friendly and gave us a lot of recommendations on things to do while visiting. Pizzicletta is a play on the Italian word for bicycle. In 2006, the owner took a trip through Italy riding around on his bike and was inspired by all the pizza. When he came back, he ordered an oven and the rest is history.

I honestly could not taste any graham or marshmallow flavor, but it definitely was a stronger and sweeter coffee than the Dark Sky, which is what my friend got. Unfortunately there is no way to award an establishment negative stars... The evening began with my wife and I, 29 years old, walking into the front door and having to wait for a pair of seats. I only say pair of seats because the seating question that could be asked at a restaurant would be bar or dining... Here the only option is a makeshift group table at which everyone in the restaurant takes post at a bar-like island elbow to elbow with pontificating 30 year old unemployed people name dropping every exotic location that they have read about in a National Geographic.Then there is the menu that tries to make something simple like pizza as exotic and complicated as possible and in such efforts ruins the very food that there establishment relies on for profit. The ingredients were non-impressive even from an exotic culinary standpoint but the way they were implemented on the restaurant's namesake product was sub-par. The sauce was nothing more than pureed tomato with juice and seeds included, because this sauce had no substance that toppings would not stay on the pizza long enough to carry it from plate to mouth. Then there is the crust which was burned to a black char and tasted like ash. If the toppings were flavorful I could not tell as my tastebuds were overwhelmed with the charcoal flavor with every bite I took. The crust might I add was so thin that if the pizza were served on newspaper then you could read the fine print. How do you burn a paper thin crust pizza and maintain the flimsiness of a shoelace, I cannot tell you but the people at Pizzicletta have figured out how. Then the beverage, wine, sparkling or still and I quote "Still" water. Next comes the bill, the bill simply read "Waitress name" and total. No itemized cost or itemized anything for that matter and then I was brought an ipad to select my tip option 15%, 20% or 25% then to sign the next screen to approve the transaction. I had to have the reciept e-mailed to me, which I have yet to recieve. Essentially, I just want potential customers and business partners to know that this establishment is a joke of a business and should reconsider its menu, ingredients, bookkeeping, cooking, seating and service. read more

My girlfriend and I decided to visit the Grand Canyon a few weeks ago. We flew into Phoenix but decided to spend the night in Flagstaff before camping at the South Rim. We had heard from some friends who had been to Flagstaff before that we needed to try Pizzicletta. After reading online to confirm their rave reviews we decided that it was a go. The atmosphere when first entering the restaurant was warm. At the front was the big woodfired oven and the chef with all of his ingredients laid out in front for all to see. To the right is a big shared table. The two of us were able to get seats without much wait. I was surprised at the menu as there were only about a half dozen items on it. I am not going to lie by saying I knew what everything was either. Luckily the waitress was extremely knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the different ingredients and cheeses. I mentioned to my girlfriend how the waitress showed a genuine passion for their pizza - it's rare to find a waitress who knows the menu and items so well. Without too much deliberation - and with the approval of the waitress - we ordered the green goat salad, the margherita, and amore oi mari. The salad was phenomenal. It had the best goat cheese that I ever had. Then the pizzas. We were totally blown away by the Amore. The combination of the cheeses with the lemon oil was unlike anything that I have ever had. It was truly spectacular. The margherita was great too. The crust was done perfectly and the sauce was amazing. I could eat that pizza everyday. Finally we topped it off with gelato for dessert. I had roasted coconut and my girlfriend had the salted caramel. Both were great - although I tried to sneak as much of the caramel as possible. Pizzicletta opened my eyes up to the Neapolitan style pizza. It was an incredible experience that I haven't been able to replicate locally. We can't wait to go back! read more

Well, Pizzicletta has barely been open two weeks now and I've already been five times so perhaps that gives you some insight into how amazing this place is (just try it- you'll understand). Fabulous ambiance with a friendly helpful staff; get a classically delicious margherita or derrick but don't be afraid to try the unique ss145 or amore oi mari, they're so good! I've tried everything at this point (including all of the incredible specials) and honestly can't pick a favorite; Caleb really knows what works. Pizzicletta is the real deal, the best kind of pizza there is- a perfect crust with fresh toppings that result in the most extraordinary flavors imaginable. And...there's house-made gelato for dessert (as wonderful as the pizza is, your meal isn't complete unless you get this...seriously, you have to. For real). Take a date, your mom, your friends, your whole family, or just treat yourself...no matter what your tastes, Pizzicletta will not disappoint. The pizza was amazing and the staff were super friendly. Since it was our first time, host/server explained how ordering works without making us feel uncomfortable. Basically you have two different servers, one for pizza and one for beer from Dark Sky Brewing. You hit a light at your table when you are ready and your servers will come to you. It was super easy and efficient. We got to sit right in front of the pizza oven and watch them make pizza, which was pretty fun. The pizza oven cooks pizza really fast and the guy making pizza had to step away for a second. Our pizza burnt but without hesitation he had a new one going for us and it was to our table in less than 5 minutes. We got the margarita pizza and it was delicious!!! I have moved to Littleton Colorado from Arkansas and been able to visit Flagstaff three times since Pizzicletta opened. My last trip I was in town for two nights and spent each night dining at this fabulous restaurant. I had to have the amori oi mari.... the flavor blend of prosciutto with the lemon is devine! I also enjoy the Margherita - so simple but the crust and delicious tomatoes are just wonderful. I noticed an improvement in the selection of wines and new beer from the local brewery. And one night they served my favorite gelato, Pumpkin! But all the other flavors are delicious too! Yummmmm!! Wish I could live there! I've yet to find a place similar in the Denver area. We visited Pizzicletta last night for my birthday and it was perfection. We started with the Rosemary Focaccia, Salumi, Green Salad and Burrata. All 10/10. We then enjoyed the Carne Dolce Pizza and Pizza of the Day (pecorino, sopressata, sun dried tomatoes) that were also amazing. I'm a sucker for the kind of crust bubbles that only a legit Neopolitan pizza oven like their's can achieve. After having the two pizzas, we decided to order a third because they were just that good. Totally disappointed with this pizza and the staff. Went on NYE, waited an hour for a seat. We ordered their white based and red based pizzas. First pie was undercooked, super floppy a little "doughy" so we asked for the 2nd one to be a little more done. That came to us completely burnt. Not a great Neapolitan pizza. Ive had WAY better. Hands down the best pizza restaurant in Flagstaff. We are obsessed with the amore oi mari pizza and have tried several appetizers and flavors of gelato -- all of which we have loved! You can't go wrong here for a lovely dinner! read more

We had the bacon and shallot pizza and the pepperoni. I told my husband this is the best pizza I've ever had. They put some kind of dried herb seasoning on the pizza that is divine! The dough is perfection. read more
