I really loved this placeI went there for happy hour and the bartender is the best. He was nice and informative. I had 6 oysters but their sauce is so amazing, that I ordered 6 more. Then I had the rice balls with salmon on top, that was ok. But my favorite was the ceviche. It's the best I have had and I have had a lot. I really recommend this place.
Stopped in while in the Domain for a show. We were seated right away even without a reservation which was nice. Service was super attentive which was awesome. I really liked the mahi mahi tacos- the flavor was great. Also like the flavors in the wonton tacos- spicy and delicious, but the downside is both tacos were a bit on the soggy side. I really also loved the oyster shot which was fun. They seem like they have a good happy hour and would love to come back for that!
I went back and forth on what to rate this place. It's probably somewhere between a 3 and 4 for me. My husband and I came in specifically for the happy hour oysters on the half shell around 3 pm on a Saturday. We took a seat at the bar. It was busy in the Domain but not super busy in the restaurant at this hour. We ordered drinks, oysters, and civiche. The bar tender was alone behind the bar and serving the whole restaurant. The service was a tiny bit slow, but it was easy to see why. The bar tender was very nice. It took quite a bit of time for my husband to receive his iced tea, but the oysters came out on a good pace. Our first round of oysters were not shucked well - there were a lot of shell bits left in the food. The various accoutrements for the oysters were nice! We got a second round of oysters that were perfect. I've visited this restaurant a few times, and I think this mix of great and okay is how they roll. The civiche was great. I'd go back just for this. A bit on the spicey side, which I really like. The restaurant is clean, well lit (but not bright), casual but still on the upscale side. I think this is a lovely happy hour spot. If their preparation was a bit more consistent, I'd probably visit regularly.
The staff were very friendly and attentive. There is a huge boat skeleton in the area that we sat and I thought it was pretty cool. came here early as our toddler sleeps at 7pm but in doing so, we are able to catch their happy hour. I had the golden beets, oysters and fish tacos. All were yummy. We did order a kids salmon meal (not pictured) and our son liked the salmon. The other items were too hard / sugary for a 14 month old - gummies and raw carrots. Would be nice if they served the kids meal with cooked soft carrots and rice. :)
Came here to celebrate a birthday! Made reservations for a large party. Upon entry, we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and helpful with good follow through. Place is open, bright with ocean decor. We started with the raw oysters and hush puppies. Then we ordered fish tacos, fish and chips, steak and a burger. Everything was good. Not sure why the hush puppies came with sweet and sour duck sauce but it worked. Overall, it was good eats in the Domain!
We stopped by after buying clothes for a trip. The service was absolutely excellent. Daniel, the waiter, was attentive and informative. We ordered the Lobster and Shrimp pasta, and the rainbow trout with potatoes. Every night was a joy. Delicious. This is a great place; I will go back again. Super nice people, fun setting and decorations, with amazing food.
This was my first time eating at Plank Provisions. We went on a Friday night with reservations for four. It was a good thing we did because the place was packed, the wait was about 45 minutes for anyone without a reservation. We arrived on time and were seated on the patio right away, which was a great start. The patio has a nice atmosphere and felt lively without being overwhelming. Our waiter was very attentive and did a great job keeping our drinks flowing. The table really enjoyed the cocktails, especially the cucumber collins and the sea foam margarita. For appetizers we shared the wonton tuna tacos and fried calamari, and both were tasty. For my main, I ordered the lobster bisque and it had a unique flavor that I really liked. My dinner companions ordered the baja fish tacos, Faroe Island salmon, and the redfish. We all enjoyed the night from start to finish. I would say this is a great midrange seafood restaurant, and if grading within that category I would give it 5 stars. If comparing it to places like Truluck's or Eddie V's Prime Seafood, I'd probably bring that down to about 3.5 stars. Bottom line: good waiter, good drinks, and good food.
Had the best happy hour experience at Plank! We stopped by during their daily happy hour (every day 3-6 PM- such a great deal!) and were blown away by everything we tried. We started with the ahi tuna wonton that was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, followed by the fresh ceviche and the beet salad, all of which were delicious and felt so fresh. The seafood really shines here. The cocktails were equally impressive- creative, refreshing, and expertly mixed. Great for sipping while you enjoy the coastal-inspired vibes of the space. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends or unwinding after work. Highly recommend for happy hour or a casual dinner, we'll definitely be back to sample more off their menu!
We were up from San Antonio and decided to give this Domain eatery a try. We were absolutely thrilled! Our server, Esmeralda (Esme), was friendly, knowledgeable, and engaged without being intrusive. Great recommendations! The food was amazing...my flat iron steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The salmon was flaky and flavorful. The oysters were fresh and delicious... briny goodness. I highly recommend. Cheers!
WHAT IN THE WORLD??! Plank has been on my must-try list ever since I saw the signage being put up. If I could eat seafood for every meal, I absolutely would! I wasn't sure what to expect--maybe something closer to a seafood boil--but after finally stopping by and giving it a try, I was even more delighted than expected!! My partner & I sampled a variety of sushi and shareables, and NOT A SINGLE DISH MISSED. What to order / tried & true: * Maryland-Style Crab Dip - delicious, so creamy, loved the fresh sourdough included!!!! * Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice Cakes - flavors, A+ * Yellowtail Sashimi - SO FRESH & tastefully cut/made * Yellowtail Serrano Roll - NO NOTES, refreshing * Sake Ceviche Maki I'm definitely coming back for their happy hour from 3-6 p.m. as they offer $1.50 East Coast oysters!!!
Let's start with parking. It's all free and there's parking in the street or you can choose the pink garage just a short walk away. I knew I was coming here the day before with a group of 12 people which gave me plenty of time to scan through over 100 of the most current reviews. Plenty of folks raving about their experience here, but we all like to know where they fall short as well. Most of the yelpers here enjoy this place, but there are instances where service lacks, especially at the bar and either the food is too bland or salty. The crab cakes are small for the money, the oysters don't appear to be local and one reviewer compared it to an overpriced Red Lobster. Since this is a group setting, I should point out that they do have a room at the back which has a maximum occupancy of 19. They even put together a personalized menu for our group. The apps were good, the biniet style hush puppies paired with bacon jam were the best as were the brussell sprouts. The main course choices were mixed. The flat iron steaks were unevenly cooked, raw at one end well done at the other. The side of fries were boring in desperate need of ketchup. The salmon was cooked perfectly and flakey ( best not to order steak at a seafood restaurant). Our desserts came out a lot later than expected, and they were prepacked to go. Overall, the service was slow paced which we expected and the food for the most part was good and a step above Red Lobster. It's a place I'd come back to try again. 8 informative photos included.
Popped in for a drink and light bite. The bar was full, well single seats between peeps so no 2 seats together. So got sat at a high top in the bar area. Stratton our person was great. Got an old fashion and espresso martini along with the Brussel sprouts. Drinks came out quickly and the Brussel sprouts took a long time. It was their happy hour - Costal Hour - time so it was busy with peeps ordering the $1 oysters. If I ate raw oysters this would be a deal! Restrooms were nice and clean. Overall enjoyed the time and I'd like to go back to try other items on the menu.
Was visiting Dinain area and went here for a birthday dinner for my son. Service was so w. Attentive and accommodating We had raw oysters plus the super good crab dip. Along with great entrees and a wonderful comp'd desert.

Had to run to the domain on a quick errand, but I always love to stop for a cocktail at plank provisions. They make the most awesome cocktails. The service at the bar is impeccable and of course the ambience is fun and uplifting. The bartender is very knowledgeable about the drinks. Stop in for a quick drink and try them out. While you're there, try some of their beautiful oysters they're so good. read more

Very good fried redfish sandwich,I absolutely loved it. The drinks were not good idk if the bartender was new or what but it wasn't strained, and very sour for a spicy strawberry margarita. Mac n cheese w the crab was OK, nothing crazy to add it on tbh. read more

James you ROCK!! I havnt had service this good in a really long time! You were so nice and sweet and literally made my day!! You were warm and very knowledgeable of the menu and just provided excellent and outstanding customer service. Now on to the food. (Isn't this why you are here? Lol) 2 dozen oysters 100/10 very fresh. We had a mix of all they had. They brought all the fixins so good we doubled back for another dozen. Havnt had oysters this good and fresh since I was in Seattle a year ago!! Muscles -had pork skin, avocado /toast which made this a filling dish. Every together paired so well and complemented each other so well. I throughly enjoyed this dish. Caesar salad gooey egg, charred lettuce , a different take on your typical Cesar salad. We enjoyed it!! Calamari - crispy but nothing to rave home about. The aloi they paired it was was exceptional. That's it. Brussels - the way they cooked and seasoned these were good but nothing outstanding. We also had fries that are not pictured they were giving shoe string fries but crispy. Cucumber collins was light and refreshing but wasn't strong at all. Overall I would give this spot 5 stars because service alone made me want to come back period. Next time I would love to catch the vibe in the bar area. It was cute and perfect if you came in to dine alone. read more
We checked this place out because we were craving mussels and a good bottle of wine, and this was one of the few places in town that didn't have a crazy wait (without resy). We got exactly what we came for - solid wine and seafood. The mussels were well seasoned and the scallops+tuna were perfectly seared. Portions were very generous and the pricing was reasonable. Our waiter was also super sweet and she gave us tons of recommendations, which I love when I can't decide what to get. read more
I've been to plank a few times and always enjoy my experience. My favorite item is the seafood tower, do yourself a favor and have it as a meal. You get oysters, shrimp and all of the seafood goodness with a side of a straight up martini I'm in heaven Bacon wrapped shrimp with dirty grits is also absolutely delicious, I'd give the flavor a 10 Mussels are great, Thai clam chowder great Just go and order all of the things except fish and chips. We stopped by for an in-between lunch and dinner snack around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar with no wait. We got the Charred Broccolini, Redfish Ceviche, 6 Iced Oysters, and 6 Dressed Oysters. The Charred Broccolini was cooked well with a smokey touch. I love garlic and enjoyed the larger-sized garlic bits. We love when ceviche comes with the tostada chips to break and scoop the fish on! The fish was fresh and the capers were not overpowering. The oysters were great - both varieties were fresh and briny. The vinegar and hot sauce came in dropper bottles - what a great idea! The dressed oysters were great on their own and did not need anything added, just a few drops of lemon juice and it was perfect. The menu looks promising - I would be back to try some entrees! read more

I stopped by for lunch with a friend and we both had an enjoyable experience. The ambiance, food and service was spot on. We ordered an appetizer, Brussel Sprouts, and Spiked Lemonade (weekly flavor varies) before moving onto entrees. I opted for the fried redfish sandwich. Everything was delicious! I came to Plank last weekend with another party. We came during a non-busy Saturday afternoon. We ordered a couple of menu items.. so here we go... When we came in, we were greeted at the hostess stand right away and asked if we had a reservation. While we didn't have one, we were still seated right away. We sat at the table for several minutes prior to our waitress approaching our table. We started of the meal with a Mimosa and a glass of Sauvignon blanc and two raw-chilled items. Shrimp Cocktail $19.00 This cocktail came with 5 shrimp ($3.08 dollars per shrimp, for those of you who are counting). The shrimp were okay, a little tough for my liking. I could have done without this app. Oysters $4.00 each We added caviar to the oysters. When paired together, oysters and caviar enhance each other's saltiness. The combo is a perfect appetizer for any occasion. These oysters were fresh and paired really nice with the champagne. Wood Grilled - Ahi Tuna Plate $32.00 This was a wonderfully buttery but light dish with ginger-scallion noodles, turnip, beech mushroom, konbu dashi, yuzu, bonito butter. This was quite filling and with each bite, the flavors of the dish melted into each other. Wood Grilled - Rainbow Trout Plate $30.00 My companion had the menu item and the I sampled it and the fish had an ideal cook on it. The mix of tomato, caper, onion on top of the fish was simple in flavor yet savory. After brunch cocktails: Bloody Mary with an extra shot one the side of each one. These had very little kick and to be frank, the shrimp on these were fresher than the ones in the shrimp cocktail. Overall, the service was nice but the price point for what we paid (over $300.00) for a brunch after tip wasn't worth it. I feel that the Truluck prices without the Truluck freshness and lack of the kick of a good ole Salt Traders Bloody Mary wouldn't bring me back here. However, for the locals who only visit just once, at least you can say you went. read more

Came here for an early dinner on a Friday. We made reservation through yelp but we arrived early and were seated by the friendly hostess. Our server was on top of everything and had good drink and food recs. We got the brussels sprouts, tacos and a pasta plate + shrimp. So so good. A funny moment was when we asked for hot sauce and it came in the tiniest dropper bottle. Can't wait to come back for another date night. read more
This is a great casual option for dining in the Domain. Delicious drinks, fresh oysters, sushi, and other seafood options. They have a large selection on their menu so I always find something new to try. Food is tasty and good for sharing. We came here for brunch on a Sunday, and we were seated right away. We decided to dine outside, it was peaceful, breezy, and relaxing. It is also fun to do some people watching while out here. The service is friendly and warm, and food is impeccable. We tried the PEI mussels and Simple Breakfast. Both dishes were great, and we especially liked their grilled sourdough bread. While in the ever amazing and enjoyable "The Domain" on Century Oaks near Esperanza Crossing, we decided to get a late lunch/early dinner as we walked past the inviting Plank Seafood and Provisions patio. We were greeted as we walked in and saw that the bar area was getting busy and were seated in their well appointed dining room that is such a great space with incredibly classy decor with a fresh nautical feel that is oriented to the incredible fully open kitchen. Whitney F, our server, greeted us almost immediately after being sat by the Hostess. Whitney introduced herself while she provided us menus and gave us an interesting overview of Plank Seafood and Provisions and its faithful tradition and commitment towards fresh and sustainable seafood, high-quality ingredients and their made-from-scratch mentality. Whitney took our drink order and our choice of a shareable plate. We soon were presented with the Grilled Octopus that was elegantly plated with grilled onions, broccolini, fingerling potato, and romesco on a bed of fire roasted tomato and chili sauce. The portions of young octopus were cut similar to the fingerling potatoes and both had the char and flavor created by the post oak wood-fired grill. The grill was such a compliment to the tender morsels of Octopus that were plated immaculately with the other grilled vegetables on Plank's elegant black dinner plates. Honestly, grilled octopus is a menu item that is seldom treated properly and prepared to perfection, but Plank Seafood obviously gets it right and really excels with the presentation, taste, and texture you'd expect in a Michelin starred restaurant. Really, it's on that level! The Salmon Crudo was beautiful with thin filets of salmon shingled beautifully with a liberal layer like a tapenade of calabrian chilis, capers, olives, lemon, and shiso. Wow, it's a nominal portion as expected, but it's packed full of wonderful flavor! We also tried a couple of the Blackened Rockfish Tacos that were also prepared with a passion for flavor, texture, and love of spiciness in the salsa negra and a calabrian vinaigrette that wasn't just hot with chili but elevated with a broad range of bold spices and flavors balanced with the crema, avocado, slaw, and pickled radish. We finished our lovely meal that was paced perfectly by Whitney with the specially featured Peach Brulee that can hold its own with any in the city and the Butterscotch Budino that was topped with a salted caramel candied syrup with crème fraiche. The Budino was so flavorful and creamy in itself that it could stand alone, but they added to the plate complementing Rosemary Shortcake Cookies thar are elegantly served alongside the custard pudding and the contrast of flavors brings you such joy and maybe even guilt because it's such a rewarding experience. Our visit to Plank was a late afternoon early dinner and very causal, but the experience we had was befitting a formal dinner out at any restaurant in Austin with the classy decor and the incredible focus by the entire restaurant on the food and the experience. A must stop place in Austin. Everything was absolutely delicious and amazing. We had the redfish ceviche, mussels, scallops, salmon, and oysters. We had the lemon tart for dessert. Very cute & attractive seafood restaurant. Unfortunately, that's all I can say positively about it. Neither my friend nor I enjoyed our meal and we didn't want to bother with sending it back as it was towards the end of the night. Well I actually sent back the first meal and got the baja fish tacos instead. Unfortunately they were not seasoned at all. Was super bland. I have frozen Gorton's batter fish that tasted better than this. Very disappointing for a beautiful place such as this. read more
Good food, good service, clean establishment and nice atmosphere. A little pricey but not too bad. Several items are available during Happy Hour. We had the Charred Shishito Peppers for our appetizer. The peppers were hot (spicy) and served in a caramelized sauce flavored nicely. I took advantage of Happy Hour (3 PM to 6 PM) and had an Amber Beer called Anchor Steam. The beer had a normal Amber taste and cold! My main entree was fish and chips with a side salad. The fish was light and deep fried. It was flaky and tasted great with the tater sauce. The fries were also fried and were done well, golden and crisp. The salad was served with vinegar and oil in a small bottle with a dropper. The salad consisted of kale and radish slices. All of the servers were friendly and professional. They wanted you to have a nice meal. Since it's in the Domain, parking is limited to the designated parking areas, however the walk will be about 5 minutes. An overall wonderful experience that can be had by couples, small groups, family or alone. read more

Dined in on a Saturday at 7:00 pm for a party of four. It was super packed and was a two hour wait, but luckily we found seating at the bar. We ordered: Strawberry surfer cocktail: too sweet for me, didn't taste alcohol, but the flamingo stirring stick was a cute touch Yellowtail sashimi: came out warm, didn't have much flavor Thai clam chowder: my favorite dish, great coconut flavors, unique twist Half dozen raw East coast oysters: very good Smoked fish toast: some pieces of the fish was hard and super salty, worst dish Redfish: nicely cooked, healthy dish Piedmontese ribeye: needs more flavor, the quality of the ribeye was like a skirt steak Chocolate terrine: BOMBBBBB so good read more

I visited this restaurant for a work team lunch. Located in the heart of the domain, Plank Seafood Provisions is a great option for seafood. The service was pretty quick, and the restaurant has a very sophisticated, high-end vibe to it. We ordered multiple shareable appetizers, all of which were great. The mussels and shrimp toast were my favorites. I had Atlantic Salmon for my entree. The blackened rice was simply amazing. Salmon was good as well, but I wish it had a little more spice. Overall, this place is pretty great. Has a great ambiance and as the name suggests has amazing seafood. read more
WONDERFUL! A magnificent discovery in the domain. Everything we ordered was so aesthetically pleasing and tasted as good as they looked. The interior design was also very pretty and made the dining experience very comfortable. Our oysters were huge and I thought it was cute how the sauces were placed in an eye drop container so it was real convenient and fancy to eat our oysters that way. We shared the Thai clam chowder which had crazy good flavors. It was a bit too spicy for me but my fiancé loved it so much we bought an extra cup of it to go so that his mom could try it and she fell in love with it as much as my fiancé did. We also shared the Caesar salad which my fiancé usually dislikes, but he loved Plank's version of it. They charred the lettuce and it had really great seasoning. Fanciest Caesar salad there is! Revisited after a couple of years and enjoyed a celebratory dinner with friends! With a reservation at 5pm, we were sat immediately and able to enjoy their happy hour that ran until 6pm. We ordered drinks, a dozen oysters, Brussels sprouts, and a caesar salad (my favorite one!) to start, plus entrees, a side of fries, and a dessert! Service was great, albeit a bit slow from the kitchen's end. A manager came by to our table and apologized and also took off about $50 from our bill, which was incredibly kind. Despite the longer food ticket times, we were enjoying ourselves! Our server was also incredibly sweet and attentive - checking in almost every few minutes and never letting our waters go any less than full. She was great! FOOD RATINGS: - Oysters (4/5): Super fresh and tasty, even if they were a bit small. Delicious and cold. - Brussels sprouts (3/5): A bit undercooked, and the flavor was mild, but they were okay. Not the best I've had. - Caesar salad (4/5): Delicious! I love their romaine and dressing. The soft boiled egg is also always a nice touch. - Sea Scallops (5/5): My favorite dish! The scallops are delicious, but the pasta and the sauce is truly the winner. Creative and creamy and perfectly tasty. - Ahi tuna (4/5): Love a good ahi tuna dish, and this doesn't disappoint. Light and tasty! - Blackened fish tacos (5/5): Love that they loaded these. A steal for happy hour (doesn't come with anything though so we ordered a side of fries). - Shrimp pasta (5/5): Pretty straight forward, but the shrimp is fresh and the sauce is light and delicious! - Side of French fries (5/5): Crispy, hot, and the perfect amount of salt/seasoning. - Butterscotch Budino (2/5): We originally ordered the Meyer lemon chess tart, but unfortunately it was unavailable. This was our second pick, but it was pretty disappointing. The rosemary cookies that came with it were just too weird of a flavor mix for me, personally. The budino itself was too runny. It had okay flavor, but I wouldn't order this again! Overall, I've visited Plank about 3 times now and I do enjoy it for my favorite dishes and some oysters. It's conveniently located in the Domain and is a prime spot for weekend dinners or weeknight happy hours! read more

Plank Seafood Provisions On a nice Saturday morning we arrived at 11:00 AM to enjoy an early lunch before a long day hanging out at the Domain. We were guests number 2 and like a TV show we recently watched, 'Ted Lasso', requested firmly a table next to a window. Humor aside we were seated in outdoor patio facing the front of the restaurant. It was an excellent seating location. The menu had plenty of seafood options. Every order entree is cooked after you order it and when ready delivered straight to your table without waiting for other orders from your table. I selected the Wood Grilled - Redfish And it was unbelievably good. The fish was very tasty and the veggies it sat on too. My wife's catfish was just as good. It was our first time here so our waiter explained the whole experience from seafood sustainability sources to chef's cooking techniques. The decor is very cool and seem to be a place more geared to a romantic setting and office group gatherings. It's definitely among the top five restaurants serving fish in my book. read more

Very nice seafood option at the Domain. Really like that they have a large outdoor seating area. Thai clam chowder was excellent. The coconut milk really adds an interesting and delicious twist to this New England favorite. The Ahi Tuna tartar was mediocre in my opinion. Flavor was rather bland. The homemade potato chips were a nice twist. The calamari on the other hand was fantastic. Very tender and seasoned just right. Not overly battered. The soft shell crab sandwich was very good. Nice and crispy. Good flavor. Fries were good as well. Staff was friendly and prompt. read more

Absolutely wonderful. Fresh and Delicious. Happy hour menu was great. Very sad that scallops and squid ink pasta are not on the menu anymore :( Also had the halibut and mushroom risotto which I Highly recommend . such a great surprise and easily made reservation online during busy acl weekend. read more
I'm not easily impressed, but I do have to admit, Plank Seafood Provisions certainly impressed me. I met at a friend for lunch in Austin last week and because our original restaurant was closed on a Monday this looked like a great backup choice. Plank is located in the Domain. It was challenging to find parking but I think that's because I'm not really familiar with the domain area. Walking into the restaurant I was dumbfounded by the beautiful aesthetics of the beautiful space. The boat suspended from the ceiling was a perfect touch to this Seafood restaurant decor. I also liked the large scale ocean print on the back wall. There were thoughtful touches throughout the restaurant, really a well-designed space!! They were having a rose featured week so we decided to do a rose flight. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable and shared some great suggestions with us on the rose and also menu items. We tried the charred brussel sprouts, great flavor and even though I'm not a huge fan of brussel sprouts I really enjoyed it. We also had the king crab and redfish and shared. The king crab was pretty pricey and I was a bit disappointed to see that they didn't serve freshly cracked, they took the meat out and seasoned it and added olive oil? Even though it was tasty I feel that it detracted from the simplicity of fresh crab. The fish was excellently cooked, was so flaky and delicious, coupled with a beautiful sauce sauce. I certainly give this place five stars. It was an expensive meal but certainly worth the splurge, it was a beautiful dining experience. read more

We stopped for an early HH and experienced exemplary service and wonderfully fresh seafood. Oyster lovers will love the variety of northeast oysters. I prefer PEI oysters and was pleased to see a PEI option was available. Oysters are served perfectly chilled, served in their brine, and accompanied by a variety of sauces. I don't usually dress my oysters but a dab of their hot sauce will set you straight. Oh, and HH oysters are a buck off. Also on the HH menu is Calamari. This is not your typical fried App but served with pickled shallots, lime aioli, and aji puree that gave a nice little heat kick. Their Thai Clam Chowder with bacon, potato, coconut milk, green curry, and Thai basil puts an interesting spin on traditional chowdah. The curry and Thai basil really take over this chowdah and for me, it was just wonderful. I guess we were hungry as we shared the Faroe Island Salmon and Ahi Tuna. The pickled asparagus that accompanied the perfectly cooked Med rare salmon was a big hit. The Ahi Tuna was sashimi sliced thin with a perfect accompaniment of spices. Saved room for dessert? Then order the Chocolate Terrine peanut butter ice cream, cultured milk crumble, bing cherry, smoked maldon salt. If you have a sweet tooth then you will not be disappointed. Their French press coffee will snap you out of your food coma. Dis and Dat: Plank has a cool upscale vibe. There is a full bar and patio seating. Just went for a drink and oysters and had a lovely time! We came for the octopus, but it was no longer on the menu sadly. I'd love to stay for dinner another time. There's a nice atmosphere in the restaurant! You'll want to make a reservation, but they do have open seating at the bar which is what we did. Good service. Will return! read more

Made reservations for early Valentine's dinner. The ambience and decor was very neat; kind of like a classy nautical lounge. Ordered the royal seafood tower, calamari and Thai clam chowder soup as starters to share. For main entrees: filet steak, ahi tuna, fried flounder and scallops with linguini. I think the seafood tower and starters were the stars of the evening, especially the Thai clam chowder. Our friends seemed to be so-so with their entrees (steak filet and ahi tuna). The steak was under seasoned and lacked flavor while the ahi tuna seemed to have too much pasta. I didn't try them. My wife's flounder was pretty good overall. The potato crust/breading was crispy and she enjoyed the fries as well. She's not a big cole slaw fan but I liked the calabrian chili in it. I ordered the scallops with linguini, which I really enjoyed. Scallops were cooked perfectly, no rubbery at all, and the squid ink pasta had good flavor and texture; portion size was perfect. Honestly, can't remember all the cocktails we ordered but I remember liking the killer whale, it's like a long island and sangria combined. Overall, I'd recommend seafood towers and the clam chowder. read more

Think of this place as an extremely overpriced Red Lobster. Service was absolutely horrible. There were at least 15-20 tables open and we still had to wait 15 mins because we didn't want to sit at the bar. Took 10 mins for server to come and get us drinks. Ordered a beer only to find out 10 mins later they didn't have it in stock. Took forever to get waters refilled. When it came time to pay, it took 15 mins for him to bring checks, then we split check and the guy says his handheld isn't working, never comes back at all, had to flag 3 other people down in order to pay the check, since our original server refused to come back to the table. Will not be returning ever again. read more

Vegan or glutton free?
Don't know about vegan (except that the vegans they serve are delicious), but Plank does have a gluten free menu, and there are several good options. (We had a GF member in our party the other day.)
Good for a romantic dinner? How is the lighting?
A little loud but excellent service so i say yes.
