Plow is definitely worth the wait! Our group got a delicious smorgasbord of plates Lemon ricotta pancakes - absolutely delicious. Not too sweet - loaded with flavor Fried egg sandwich - pairs great if you split the lemon pancakes - sweet and savory - definitely add the bacon! The iced coffee was good - a little on the bitter side We sat outside, it was a hot day so bring a hat/sunglasses Plow is a spot to have on your brunch bucket list

Service 5/5 The staff were very friendly and efficient Ambiance 4/5 Cool little spot. Have some few tables outside on sidewalk as well as a deck area in front of restaurant. It was such a nice day we sat outside. Food 5/5 The Plow was delicious. Nothing was "salty" Pancakes were nice and soft I will definitely come back even just for the BISCUIT! It's a MUST TRY!

This is an incredibly popular restaurant in the Dogpatch district of SF. The wait time on a holiday weekend was about 1.5hrs. There is some room to sit as you wait and there seems to be plenty of street parking around. The inside is cozy and I was tickled by their menu. They print a new menu daily! I wonder if they vary the menu by the day. We liked everything that we tried! We shared a biscuit and Hong Kong Toast. The toast was a little burnt and you could taste that through the condensed milk. The biscuit with the honey butter was delicious! These make great shareables because they're a lot on their own. The plow is a great sampler breakfast platter and I'm so glad they offer that! It comes with 2 lemon ricotta pancakes, choice of eggs and protein! Huge portions and I shared this with my husband! We really enjoyed the food and would love to return when we're next in SF!

We finally made it to Plow in Potrero Hill after hearing so much hype about it. We expected the hour wait since it's such a popular brunch spot, and honestly sitting outside on a beautiful San Francisco morning in Potrero Hill made the wait pretty enjoyable. The neighborhood itself has such a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food didn't really live up to the reputation for us. I ordered the fried egg sandwich, while my partner got The Plow with eggs, lemon ricotta pancakes, potatoes, and bacon. The breakfast sandwich was basically just egg and cheese with a tiny handful of frisée. Adding bacon or avocado was another $5-6 each on top of an already $18 sandwich, which felt excessive considering how simple it was. The potatoes had good seasoning, but they were pretty undercooked in my opinion. The lemon ricotta pancakes were also disappointing. They were dense, dry, and almost biscuit-like rather than light and fluffy. The bacon and fresh orange juice were both good, though. Overall, the experience and setting were enjoyable, but the food itself just didn't feel worth the hype or price point.

Plow has been on my list of spots to try for over a decade. I finally had the opportunity to check them out on a random early Thursday morning around 7:15am. There were 2 other tables occupied and the server seated our party of 2 next to another table of 2. We were literally arm and arm with our neighbors. I asked for a different table and then got seated next to the other table of 2, which was another arm and arm situation. Finally, I asked if the counter was available, which was where we ended up having breakfast. That was super awkward to say the least. Not just for us, but to the other patrons since there were so many empty tables, including outside tables. Totally understand in trying to maximize seating, but that morning wasn't hustling or bustling with patrons. Good brunch options weren't as plentiful 10+ years ago as it is now. For the price and quality/quantity of our Plow brunch, it was underwhelming. I opted for the Soft Scramble and saw the eggs were from a pre-mixed carton (don't even think they're real eggs). However, The Plow included real eggs, saw the chef crack open the eggs on the grill-top. Sitting at the counter has advantages to see what and how the chefs are cooking. Service started off on the wrong foot with the seating situation, and can't say that it improved. Overall, this experience was just ok. I don't need to come again, I've satisfied my Plow inqueries. #13/2026

Went to SF and decided to try Plow. What a gem of a restaurant. Light, bright, clean and packed with hungry fans. We be ordered their namesake the Plow. Lemon ricotta pancakes, crispy potatoes, an egg with house made sausage. And an order of sourdough toast and two eggs. Delicious. A little hint. The sausage was a bit spicy for those that don't do spice. The pancakes were tiny but still plentiful. The crispy potatoes are awesomely perfect.

The food was ok the pancake soufflé was not as soft as I expected. The sausage was not tasty . I usually finish mine., The service was excellent. They really make sure that you're doing well and they are very nice. The place was crowded and busy. The place is clean and well lit.

First time here after many attempts of eating brunch! We put our name down at 11am and was told to come back after 2-2.5 hours for a table of six. We popped by Ilea coffee and went to Breadbelly bakery short drive away. For the wait, I don't think I would come back. It's decent brunch food but nothing that can't be done somewhere else like at Sweet Maple or Wooden Spoon. The only standout is the Ricotta pancake which is very creamy yet cakey, and not too sweet.

The plow - absolutely love their potatoes, nice crispy edges and perfectly seasoned. highly recommend getting their apple chicken sausage, it's the perfect balance of savory sweet. the pancakes are PHENOMENAL, it's a bit dense but still fluffy and paired so well with the light lemon whip. very filling and shareable. French toast - it's huge, definitely shareable. I like the crisp edges, it's not overly sweet and the whipped cream adds a creamy sweet touch! really fluffy and simple, super delicious! Came at 7:45AM on a Sunday and there was already a line forming outside shop. Highly recommend coming at least 20 min before opening to get a table inside. Staff friendly and food came out quick and warm!

This place amazes me so much!!! I came here for brunch and this place was packed. There are not a lot of seating indoors so I sate outdoors. It was pretty cold but they had blankets for us! I love their biscuits (it's a must order!) and the breakfast sandwich with homemade potatoes was the best!!!! Definitely 10/10 breakfast/brunch place in SF

Glad I came here on a weekday because it was only a 20 minute wait and ended up being mediocre. I would never wait hours in line just to eat brunch as mentioned by some of these other yelpers on the weekends. The service is a bit slow. I literally had to ask them if I could order. I liked the lemon ricotta pancakes and the lemon sauce was good however as for the French toast. It was so bland. They don't know how to make it here. It wasn't yummy at all. Also, got the prosciutto and Gruyere sandwich. They should put more prosciutto to the sandwich and more frisee as well. The potatoes were OK. As for the biscuit, it wasn't as soft as I hoped for like the outside of it was pretty hard, but I did like the honey butter. Also, it's a small restaurant with only one bathroom and super out of the way in the city.

I had a wonderful Monday morning at Plow. It's quaint and a very humble restaurant. It's bright inside and doesn't feel overly squishy. We were seated immediately at the counter and got our food within the next 15-20 min.Their breakfast is pretty yummy, nothing too crazy I'd say. I just found my pork a bit too dry for my liking. Everything is homemade for sure, down to the hot sauce. Overall it was a wonderful experience, I will be back.

Our friends who live in SF brought us here and they played it like pros. They drove over early, put our name down, scooped us up from the hotel, and timed it so we walked back just as our table was ready. That's the move because a table for 4 at 10:35am on a Sunday meant a solid hour and a half wait. Rookie mistake if you don't plan ahead. One of my friends went to Berkeley and used to come here nearly 10 years ago. She swears it was great back then and somehow it's still just as good now which says everything. Spots like this don't usually keep that kind of consistency. We ordered the soft scramble, 2 fried egg sandwiches, and an eggs Benedict. Everything hit. The potatoes were exactly how brunch potatoes should be: crispy on the outside, tender inside, and well seasoned. My soft scramble with goat cheese and shiitake mushrooms was rich without being heavy. If you can outsmart the wait, it's absolutely worth it. Just don't show up hungry and clueless, have a game plan.

What kind of lines or wait times M-Thurs ~ 9:30 10 am?

The busiest times for Plow are early morning through lunchtime. This restaurant is very small and popular and my recommendation would be to go towards the end of their day. We did that and only waited 5 minutes!

Do they still serve gluten-free pancakes?

    Yes! They're delicious:)

Is Plow dog friendly? Is there outside seating? Edit: I'm here. There are dogs and outside seating,…

What is the wait like on Monday at 9am?

Shouldn't be long but the earlier you come the better. I'm not sure I've ever waited at all when arriving before 8:30

    Do they gluten free options?

    yes! (including GF pancakes)

Anyone knows how busy this place is usually on Friday morning?

If you get there when it opens you shouldn't have to wait too long - AND worth the wait!!

In my opinion Lapisara ranks in the middle due to the other excellent options available. Seated immediately--had a reso but on a Wednesday morning not really necessary. It took a long time for the single employee to get to us but we weren't in a hurry. Cappuccino was very good in a cute "bear mug" and very reasonably priced. We shared a pacific omlet--not much crab, lots of shrimp, and nice swiss cheese/scallions but tasted kind of fishy--potatoes were only avg. Son said huevos rancheros were average. Price point good for SF and portions adequate to share. Location convenient so we will try dinner there tonight before a comedy show nearby. Dinner-5++ stars; 4 of us Had dinner last night-6pm-reso but not needed. only one other group dining. Single Waitress was great-we let her know we needed to leave in about an hour for a show and she timed everything perfectly--we even had time for dessert. we ordered so many items that she brought over an extra table--we shared everything family style. Most Yelp reviews only mention brunch but the dinner was awesome--service; food: taste/quality, presentation, portions, prices we phenomenally low for SF ($200 with a bottle of wine for 4 people). We started with the garlic butter clams-small but tasty. Tuna tartar was excellent quality and enough to share. Samosas were more like empanadas--very good with peanut sauce so good it rivaled my own home made. We continued our culinary adventure with crab fried rice-delicious, a large portion and my son who lives in SF and has tried dozens of crab fried rice ranked it in the top tier. The pacific catch rice noodles with crab was also excellent-big portion, lots of crab, tasty. Final entree was their specialty-Mussaman Curry. Wow, tender meat/potatoe "stew" with a very unique flavor from the star anise/cinnamon and peanut--to die for. Creme Brulee was very good with lots of fresh fruit accompaniment My only complaint was a very limited wine selection. Lapisaia will become one of our regular spots for dinner!!!
