PLUMBING REVIEW - PLUMB PROFESSIONALS Recently, I had cause to summon the services of a plumbing service for the purpose of a bathtub install. One quickly learns that this may not be a job for a homeowner handyman, to get it at the right level with drains lining up void of any leaks, this might be a task for a professional who does this on a daily basis. Therefore, I submitted request for professional bids; I only invited contractors who would provide bids free of charge. Personally, I felt insulted that any company wanting one's business should charge one simply to provide knowledge of what that company might charge for their services. I discovered along the way that companies who wished to charge to provide a bid ranged from $30.00-$99.00, which is fine if a homeowner wishes to pay for services not rendered (or) perhaps a company that knows their bids are high and only make money by providing a charge for a bid. My advice, if any company suggest a 'bid charge' then move on and choose another! My goal was to get (4) bids and then compare which I did with success, I strongly suggest my neighbors do the same. Out of the (4) bids, I discovered that one was actually double of the others, so buyer beware! The other three vendors were all likeable, friendly and professional. However, in the end one shined above all others, that was PLUMB PROFESSIONALS out of Ashburn Va. I truly liked the fact that the appraiser dispatched could be the tech who would accomplish the job in the end if I so choose. I favored that idea as I felt no one better than the appraiser could better understand my needs to accomplish the job with satisfying results. With that being said, the PLUMB PROFESSIONAL appraiser was a gentleman named Charlie Huntt. I immediately took a liking to him and felt that he displayed the honesty and integrity that I had been looking for. Likewise, he had over 15 years of experience and had installed many bathtubs in that span, I viewed this individual as being very capable. In the end, I was looking for a professional job at a fair price and PLUMB PROFESSIONALS delivered and exceeded my expectations. I was further impress upon reviewing competing bids when I discovered one area that I believed was estimated a little on the high side; I called the owner/operator 'Leo' to address the issue. He listened well, reviewed that area, agreed and corrected it to my satisfaction! Then, I knew the 'game was on', this was my company, Charlie was my guy! The schedule was set and Charlie arrived on-time as he had promised, totally equipped with the tools and parts he needed to accomplish the task without delay. I watched Charlie as he continued the job, he was meticulous so say the least. My most pleasant surprise was when Charlie found small items that were not contained in the bid that were addressed and fixed without increasing the cost of the bid! Ask yourselves, what other company, what other employees could you find that had this type of professional integrity? In closing, I highly recommend PLUMB PROFESSONALS, I give them a *5* Star rating. I will also close by adding that I found, by listening, that Charlie was very proud of his company, had great respect for his superior, Leo, and had great praise for his fellow worker. tldr: Without hesitation, I would recommend this company to a friend. Before: After 9 years, my water heater failed. Doing some amateur diagnosing, it appeared as if it was a common occurrence for the gas valve to be faulty. I reached out to about a dozen companies to see who would/could do the service. Many were either unresponsive, the price quoted was too high, or they would not provide a ballpark estimate. Leo, from Plumb Professionals, however, was communicative, honest, upfront, and trustworthy in his messaging. He took the time to understand the issue, asked pertinent questions, asked for pictures of the water heater, and provided his assessment - that while we could fix it (and he gave several options), it would be temporary. And at the cost-benefit ratio, it would make sense to replace the unit. He then entertained my myriad questions about a tankless system vs upgrade in size (from a 50G to a 75G). He was patient, informative, and again, very upfront about the pros/cons of switching. Day of: Erik and his associate arrived promptly (actually, they called to see if service could be done earlier!). They were polite, explained what I should expect, and provided an estimate of the time. They verified where shut-off valves, etc. were, and quickly got to work. They finished on-time, explained how to use the system, and again, answered my questions thoroughly. While there, Erik also quickly and efficiently repaired a leaky toilet I had upstairs. They then scheduled an inspection with the county for me. (Some contractors do not do this) Inspection: The county is now doing virtual inspections. The inspector found a minor issue with the expansion tank. Post Inspection: Leo reached out to promptly to schedule the fix. It is scheduled for this week and if the past week is any indication, I have little to worry about while using Plumb Professionals. read more

I've been screwed over by many contractors as a Virginia resident of only 2 years. The experience with Plumb Professionals was so good I felt like I needed to write this review, and I've never done this. Leo and his partner (I'm sorry I forgot your name) were excellent. Because of the Memorial Day weekend no other company (Home Depot, Lowe's and even the smaller ones) could fit me until after Tuesday, May 31, 2016. My water heater failed on May 27. Leo was available the day my water heater failed (arrived at 5pm, Friday, May 27, 2016) and quickly diagnosed the issue (12 year old water heater finally died). Before he did anything I was impressed on how clean he was down to the boot covers he wore slipped on prior to entering my home. Leo patiently went over the options with me, and I ultimately decided to replace the water heater tank and a few other parts. Within 24 hours (3:30pm, Saturday, May 28, 2016) Leo arrived with his partner to replace a water heater, outdoor hose bib, and another plumbing item that wasn't properly pressurizing the home plumbing system. He and his partner covered my wood floors and promptly went to work while answering any questions that I had. Within a few hours they were done, cleaned up and everything worked even better than before. I had friends over 30 minutes later, and they couldn't even tell a contractor had been there. I knew this was going to work out great, the second Leo responded to my Yelp request for plumbing. It was a Saturday, and I didn't expect anyone to reply, let alone within 10 minutes. I called Sunday morning, and arranged for a visit on Tuesday. The real star here was Billy. He not only arrived on time, but was here 2 hours early and even placed a complimentary call to ask if he could come early. When he arrived, he explained everything to me in full detail, and even gave me tips like how to flush my water heater to prevent black water build up. I was not upsold on anything, and there was nothing fishy going on here, just a professional doing a superb job. Billy did a lot of work in both of my bathrooms, in a very short timespan, and his experience definitely showed in the quality of work done. I will be going back to Plumb Professionals for ALL my plumbing needs moving forward, as I am a new owner of a condo, and I was very nervous about finding a good plumber -- it's nice to know that need is put to bed. Needed to get a gas regulator & some gas pipe plumbing to be replaced. Contacting them was easy via Yelp. Their response was quick. Michael West came over, had a look & emailed the estimate. No fees for the estimate service call. I discussed the estimate over the phone with their office, got some clarifications and confirmed the work. I immediately got an email, with the possible time slots. On the day of the appointment Michael was courteous enough to call from his previous appointment, informing that he was running an hour behind schedule. He asked if it would work for me or if we needed to re-schedule. I said it would work and then he called again when leaving the previous place. Must say that Michael is very professional and has the patience and expertise to do a good job. Am very satisfied with the job done, it was a seamless, hassle free experience from start to finish. I had contacted several different plumbers to replace my electric water heater and I definitely made the right choice in selecting Plumb Professionals. My whole experience with them exceeded my expectations. From scheduling the appointment, conducting the survey, providing quote, scheduling installation date, and finally installation completion, was a smooth experience. Andy, the plumber, was very professional, knowledgeable, and he answered all my questions and complied with all my requests. Although his quote was a little higher than some of the other quotes I got, he resolved some other plumbing issues that the other plumbers did not catch. In the end, I felt Andy was more trustworthy and he seemed to know what he was talking about. Through my observation, he showed great craftsmanship and was very satisfied with his work. I have used Plumb Professionals several times within the last 6 months. Both times they were prompt and arrived within the scheduled service window. They completed both jobs within that same day and were priced below some of the larger plumbing companies. The first job they installed a bathroom vanity and uncovered a leaky toilet that I had no idea about. They saw the floor buckled and investigated the issue (Caulking around the toilet). They completed the project and recommended the right faucet for us to use. The second job was a clogged kitchen sink where the coupling was rotted and water came flushing out the bottom of the PVC pipe. They were quick to diagnose the problem and to fix the issue. Main bedroom shower suddenly affected with weak water pressure. Checked all other faucet and all were okay. Did a quick search on the web for "plumbers near me." Settled with Plumb Professionals and sent them a message via their own website. Response was immediate (more like instant) to my email by "Dispatcher Ben." Scheduled a fee free service call for the following morning. Gary Guay responded to my home. BTW, they text you a en route link which is very helpful. Gary was super professional. Took a looks at our shower and made number of recommendations. Told me to try them out and give them a call if those did not workout. No charge for the service call. Very responsive and efficient. I had three jobs, a leaking kitchen faucet, a noisy toilet which wouldn't stop running and a water heater which tdid not provide enough hot water. Zach patiently explained what he would do to fix or replace each. I opted to just have the emergency job done which was the toilet. The service was very friendly, prompt and easy to understand what needed to be done. I thought that the price for replacing the kitchen faucet was a bit high though I have nothing to compare it to and had to hold off on replacing the water heater because it was not an affordable expense for me at the time but I would call them again if I decide to do the other two jobs. Charles and Johnnie arrived exactly when they where expected. They did a wonderful job installing my free standing tub with a stand alone faucet and hand held sprayer. They also changed out two lavy faucets, installed the toilet and installed a Rain Head Shower system with a handheld sprayer. They laid down drop cloths to cover the floors, they were very neat. They where very diligent in testing everything to make sure there were no leaks, they showed me how to clean the filters in the faucets. When they left my bathroom may have been cleaner than when they started and it was already clean.s They will be the people I call for my next plumbing needs. When I needed a new hot water heater, I requested prices from 6 different companies. I had followup questions after getting some of the prices. Leo responded to all my questions immedicately. His answers and the price were both great, so I went with them. The gentleman who came to install the water heater was very efficient. When he removed the old one, he called me outside to see the terrible condition it was in; I'm glad I acted when I did or I could have had a disaster! When he finished the installation he showed me everything about the new water heater and made sure to answer all my questions before he left. I highly recommend this company. Our hot water faucet in one of our bathrooms failed to reach the desired temperature. If you call Plumb Professionals now for whatever plumbing problem you are currently experiencing then you will know who to call in the future. Some years ago I was ripped off by a national plumbing chain for a couple of thousand dollars. I do not think it was intentional but it was incompetence. Zach was great and a super nice guy in general. He arrived early, did the job, and was out fairly quickly. No other services were pushed. I am very thankful that we found Plumb Professionals.
