While visiting in Tucson we were craving for Mexican food. Yelp came to the rescue once again when we could Poco and Moms. As soon as you enter you are warming greeted. The dining area was full and we did not want to sit in the patio due to the heat do we sat in the bar. Just a few tables with a view of their fountain. Our server was Danielle G. and the service was outstanding. She was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and checked in on a regular basis. The bartender even came by to insure everything was good. I ordered a stressed beef burrito plate and it was delicious. Better than any I can get in Phoenix where I live. My wife really enjoyed her tacos. They hosted our book club today and the service was awesome! They allowed us to have our own room since it was a large group and they provided a buffet option. We had their chicken tacos with all the toppings and rice and beans. The food was delicious and the price was good. Their salsa was so yummy with just a tiny kick to it. I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here. Came by when they opened at 7 am, and enjoyed warm tortillaa chips, hatch chile rellenos and scrambled eggs. We were greeted by a waitress, who somehow abandoned us-- but another picked us up. There were Margarita specials. Food came slowly. The chips had foreign matter in them, and were sort of thin and unevenly fried. The salsa, however, was excellent, as was the guac we had. I had chile rellenos with a red and a green sauce. Both were stellar. My dinner partner had a huge combination, maybe enough food for three meals, and all was very good. It's almost formal dining, and they can handle small to large crowds. As mentioned, food is done by the order, and it takes a while, but it's an otherwise congenial atmosphere, and our adopted waitress was very helpful and attentive. I'd go again. read more

My personal favorite is the chicken-enchilada platter with fried-egg topper -- makes me hungry just thinking about it -- and I also really appreciate the good service offered no matter the time of day or the table location. Just another fantastic patio in Tucson to experience. This one is on the east side on busy Tanque Verde Road. My Migas were exceptional and the Cadillac marg was superb as well. I always have a huge craving for poco and moms on a Monday! And my heart breaks because they are closed on Monday's. Poco and moms is one of my favorite breakfast places. The chips and salsa is amazing, the coffee is delicious, and all their staff and food has been wonderful. I love when the weather is nice, setting on their patio area outside by the fountain. People can even have their dogs out there. I get the Huevos rancheros majority of the time, but I've had their burritos and French toast/pancakes and they were delicious too. I've gone multiple times. Today we had Bailey as our server and he was perfect. Sweet, attentive, without being to much. Love love love! Always will go back! read more

The food gets 5 stars. Authentic New Mexican style Mexican food. The red sauce is balanced in sweetness and spice with just the right amount of heat. The green sauce is loaded with Hatch green chile. The service was good as well, with a friendly and attentive wait staff. The reason for the 4 star rating is the noise level. It should be noted that I am sensitive to crowd noise, but with the sliding glass doors closed, the noise was excessive. We were there in early January so patrons wanted the doors closed to ward off the "cold". I look forward to going again when the weather permits opening things up. read more

I really enjoyed my breakfast made to order, which was the silver city breakfast with crispy hash browns and machaca meat done Christmas style. The Hatch chile sauce is outta this world! We got an order to go for breakfast which left us full for the whole day! I had dined at the other location and was sad to hear that it had closed so I was thankful that this Tanque Verde location was still up and running. We had the migas and huevos rancheros. I had mine "Mexican flag" style with the sauces, which means they will put each color sauce they have on your delectable dish (Sour cream green chile, Hatch chile, and red chile sauce). While I enjoyed each sauce the Hatch chile was easily my favorite with its spicy kick and incredible flavor. The migas was a hefty plate, made with a plentiful amount of eggs, chorizo, jalapeno, onion, bell pepper, tomato and corn tortilla strips. That's a lot of ingredients! It went well with the soft and warm flour tortilla included with the order. I heard no complaints about the huevos rancheros and it was devoured in minutes.
