    Hotel view from our room

The service was perfect and for being a hotel restaurant, this was really good. We had wings and ordered this steak. Seasoned well and it was tender. Bday weekend trip and this steak was definitely a little treat for my wife and I. Big screens to watch the game on and lots of drink options with a nice patio as well. We stayed at the hotel and had a good place to get food. Loved our trip.

My in-laws brought back a breakfast burrito for my husband and I. The cheese was nice and melty inside and the peppers were a nice small touch of spice. I expected it to be spicier and was pleasantly surprised that I was mild. The spinach tortilla was a nice touch and it comes with rice and beans. My husband wasn't a fan of the rice, but I thought it was fine. Funny to have rice, beans, and tortilla chips with breakfast. It works if you eat half of the burrito and eat the second half for a lunch or dinner with the beans and rice. They have a nice menu that's not too expansive but has something for everyone.

This place is nestled between hotels and it was hard to find parking but we managed. Our server was great and very quick with our orders. I did order a hash with steak but got chicken. I honestly thought I got a weird color steak but turned out it was chicken. When I brought it up with our server I asked for just a side of the steak but they brought me a whole new plate which was nice. I will say I was also not too keen on tomatoes being in my breakfast hash but to each his own.

This café was attached to our hotel and was definitely very good. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, which I have to admit surprised me they gave just a nice quiet restaurant feel I would definitely come here again even if I'm not staying at the hotel definitely worth checking out.

The St. Agnes Women's Guild enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of fellowship, great food, and a lovely presentation at the Point Loma Café. Lynn, the coordinating manager, was very easy to work with and responsive, even adding personalized menus for our group. Our servers were great, and Josh especially stood out. Even when the kitchen got backed up because of our large group, he kept everyone informed and made sure we were taken care of. He also brought knives and plates for our cake, helped cut it, and brewed fresh pots of coffee. We had a wonderful time--thank you, Point Loma Café!

    Buffalo wings - so good!

Today I had Buffalo wings. They were really good! Exactly how I like and expect hot wings to be. Service was good. The waitresses are very nice. The ambiance was quiet while I was there.

I had heard a lot about this place for a while, so we stopped by on Sunday for brunch. The place looked nice, and the staff was welcoming--they even let us tour the space. However, we ended up going somewhere else, as it felt more like a hotel setting, and we were looking for a spot with more ocean vibes.

Cute little spot on the grounds of the Holiday Inn Bayside. It was open on NY day & wait staff were very friendly & accommodating. They do not have espresso but did have oat milk for my dining partner who is lactose intolerant. They also verified that their granola is GF for me. Lovely stop before we headed out for a walk along the marina.

    Crab Cake Benedict

I got the crab cake benedict, and it was just bad. The egg was extremely overcooked--it was like a hard boiled egg. It also just tasted bad. We got four eggs benedict dishes for our table and they were all like this.

Seating took a little while after opening, likely because they stagger new parties to avoid overwhelming the kitchen with orders all at once. There were tons of fun brunch drinks listed on a cute, record-shaped acrylic menu, although the coffee options were pretty limited. The food menu was just as fun and whimsical, and the waitstaff were all dressed to match the theme. Everyone was efficient, friendly, and helpful. We tried the soufflé pancakes, which were good, though they weren't quite as fluffy and jiggly as Japanese soufflé pancakes. They were also quite sweet on their own, so we didn't really need the syrup. We also ordered the cheese fondue plate, which came with steamed vegetables, kielbasa, and bread cubes--a really fun concept. Overall, the atmosphere is beautiful, playful, and definitely part of the experience. I'd happily come back if I'm in the area, especially if there isn't a long wait for a table.

The moment you step inside, the bi-level space makes a striking impression with its mid-century accents, exposed brick, and warm, moody lighting. It manages to balance a lively, energetic atmosphere with an effortless chicness that feels tailored for a memorable night out. The happy hour here is an absolute standout, featuring an expansive array of creative food options and crafted drinks. The menu brings an inventive Asian fusion twist to bar bites, offering flavor-forward small plates that pair seamlessly with the beverage program. The drinks deserve equal applause: the craft cocktails are meticulously balanced, and the signature ube-inspired cocktails are as vibrant and distinct as they are delicious. Adding to the venue's overall charm is the live music program. Catching live jazz, soul, and blues sets elevates the entire experience from a simple dinner run into a full sensory event. The music creates a vibrant, soulful backdrop without overpowering table conversation, striking just the right rhythm for intimate catch-ups or energetic group gatherings. Thank goodness there was room too, because wow oh wow. It has been three weeks and we keep talking about that happy hour. Everything came out quickly and beautifully portioned, which made getting dessert (magpie ice cream cake) a no brainer. Delicious!!!
