3.5 stars. Food is average, hard for poke bar to go wrong. The ingredients selection is also normal but nothing stands out. What stood out is the service. There's a boy there that provided exceptional services. I regretted not asking about his name. The water service, order taking are both done right and nicely. He's the reason why this place is rated above average from me.

I came here to get quick take out and ordered the small Salmon special. It was tasty but the portion was very tiny. Not sure if I would revisit. I'm case you're wondering about the locations it's inside the mall at the food court in front of Ross.

Located inside Westgate Mall food court, Poke Bar is pretty decent. I like that they are generous with their toppings (no extra charge for toppings that other poke houses would charge for like crabmeat, seaweed salad, pineapple, edamame, corn, etc). They also have kale (which I've never seen as an option at other places), and three different crispy toppings (I think one of them are almonds!) I wouldn't say their fish is the best (it's good enough if you're not expecting sushi-grade quality) and I wouldn't say their rice is the best (it's not fluffy sushi-grade rice but they do offer brown rice). You get so many toppings that every square inch tastes different! :)

Reasonable price per bowl with a good variety of base, protein, toppings and sauces. This has been my go-to Poke place when I'm at West Gate Mall. It is located in the middle food court area of the mall. Starting at 9.99 for 2 proteins is actually good for me. I always go for the salmon and they are nice and soft They have the staples -- tuna, shrimp, spicy tuna, and more. They also have tofu for vegetarians. I like brown rice for my base, semi-healthy but filling. They have white rice and greens too. I would usually put only half of the available toppings just to keep it simple. I do like the option for mangoes for an additional dollar. It goes well with my choices. I also like the combination of sweet chili and ponzu sauce. Glad to have an accessible option for poke bowl in the mall at a good price.

Delicious and excellent pricing. I think it's the best place to eat in the Westgate center food court.

Food courts have this almost magical quality of transforming everything I love to a resounding "whatever". Since poke bowls are my go-to for a quick "healthy" meal, I GPS'd my way to the closest spot not knowing this was square in a shopping center. MEDIUM POKE BOWL (3 proteins): So much rice! And stingy with the fish :-( Never had a poke place use a melon baller for their protein. Interesting variety of toppings (kale, pineapple, corn, etc.), though they could up the quality. And their crab salad is served warm, flavorless, and dry (no mayo)??? Wat Though poke as fast food is undoubtedly wasteful (carryout containers, disposable utensils, plastic gloves, etc.), Poke Bar somehow added even MORE waste to the process by mixing their fish & sauce in paper trays and trashing each after every order. Maaaaaan, I'm not one to tout moral righteousness for the sake of environmentalism (especially after getting takeout...), but come on-- washable metal bowls aren't that hard to come by.

Pretty but portion for a small bowl

Stopped by here for lunch on a Sunday after church. Pretty darn good poke! located in the westgate mall food court. Usually I don't expect places in a mall food court to be that good and the food you get is overpriced compared to the quality, but this place proves one of the exceptions. I ordered a small create your own bowl. It comes with two scoops of fish and all the toppings you want. Here my thoughts on each bowl component: 1.) Brown Rice / Spring Salad Mix - pretty good base and nice they can do half half. The brown rice had a nice chew to it, spring salad seems like your typically spring salad mix from Costco (not a bad thing) 2.) seaweed salad and crab - wouldn't surprise me again if it was from Costco, but that seaweed salad is so yum, so not complaining. Crab was nice and light. 3.) salmon and scallop - cold and fresh, tasted quite yum. Only minor nit pick would be I wish they were a bit more generous with their scoops. 4.) toppings - all the toppings tasted very fresh and good. I paid extra for avocado and glad that they don't skimp on that like other places sometimes may. 5.) sauce - sweet chili - definitely recommend this sauce if you like a nice kick. A bit sweet, a nice kick, perfect complement to the goal itself.

I'm really sad to write this review but I didn't think my bowl was very good:( I got a large bowl with white rice, 3 salmon, and 1 shrimp. I thought my rice was too hot and mushy, but I did like how they added the furikake seasoning to it. The fish itself was okay. The sauces just didn't seem to combine with the fish well. At other poke places, I usually see them mix the sauces with the fish before placing it on the rice, but they just squirted it on top of everything and it made everything taste mushy. The spicy mayo also overpowered everything but at the same time I felt like it was also kinda lacking in flavor. I do also like how they give crab salad and seaweed salad at no additional cost though. Overall I just felt like it was bland and the textures weren't right today. Service was friendly at least!

I had spoken with the owner at the time--who was very kind--and based on that interaction, I chose to take my earlier review down. Unfortunately, this experience left me just as disappointed as before. I placed an order through DoorDash and received it about 45 minutes later, which I understood since the app noted they were busier than usual. No issue there. The problem started when I checked the receipt on the sealed bag--it had my name and all the correct ingredients listed. However, when I opened it (and it was clearly still sealed, so not a driver issue), it turned out to be someone else's order entirely, with completely different items. This is very similar to my previous experience, where part of my order was missing altogether. At this point, it's hard to justify giving them another chance. It's especially frustrating because the food itself has been great when it's correct. Issues like this point to a lack of quality control, whether that's from insufficient training or not taking enough care when preparing orders. Poke isn't cheap, so when mistakes like this happen--especially more than once--it's incredibly disappointing. Sadly, this will likely be the last time I order from here.

Price is pretty steep for something like this. The owner or person taking our order seemed like a confident or very straight forward / strong type personality, which I'm fine with because I naturally have a bit of a strong personality as well so it didn't bother me, although it would've been better if he smiled or something so it doesn't seem like he's coming off like a New Yorker. Just sayin. But I also know that he's simply doing his job so it's nothing personal. Anyhow, the food he talked a good game on it being the best in the Bay Area turned out to be quite mid IMPO. The shrimp was 100% overcooked, the side Mac salad was actually *not* good at all and it sucks because that's something I feel like you can't mess up but it was gross unfortunately, I spat it out even tho I hate wasting food. It just didn't taste freshly made whatsoever. The poke bowl wasn't comparable to Hawaii since he mentioned it's just as good... but honestly I think everyone's taste buds are different because to me, the poke bowl was totally mid, but it could taste really good to someone else and that's certainly OK! Also -- I like salty things esp when I crave for it but this was quite heavy on the salt, which made my experience the way it was. Even though it could've been better, I came with no expectations and just wanted to see what the fuss was about. That said, the only thing that was good was the rice cracker snack we bought and that's it. Glad I still gave this place a try, but personally for me, it's definitely my last visit. Maybe I'll come back at an earlier time to get one of their strawberry mochi but other than that, I think I'll rest my case here.

I got the last of the soba noodles, so I was surprised that even though it was closing, she went into the back to get me more soba noodles even though it seemed like the amount she had given me was enough. they also allowed however many sauces you wanted to marinate the fish in. I also asked for spicy mayo drizzle at the end. my brother got the wasabi mayo but he said he barely tasted the wasabi when mixed in. total came out to be around $40 for two large bowls. I wasn't sure what I was expecting for the soba noodles, but I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it. the sauces from the marinade seeped into the noodles gave it a nice light flavor. the fish was fresh and chicharrones were such a good contrast with the crunch (im a huge textures girl). I was able to eat half and and save the other half for lunch the next day. because I got soba noodles, I did not have to worry about heating up rice and separating the fish, so it was perfect.
