By far - my favorite poke in the OC. Everything is always so fresh and they're always so friendly. Every time I've visited, the consistency is always there. I usually get the smallest size (2 proteins) and tbh, it's a great amount of food. I wished there was a size in between, I usually can't finish it. They pack the box, always! My go to is always one of their seasonal salmon/tuna. Parking can be annoying on the weekdays during lunch. Theres indoor and outdoor seating.

Poke Dot is good. However, they have raised their prices a lot over the past 3 to 4 years. It's overpriced IMO (hence the 3 stars) but it's really the only poke place nearby if you work in the area so this is your only option. There are similar places in Irvine that give the same amount of food but for less price. The sauces are bland compared to previous years when I would come here once a week or so. Customer service has been efficient. Always busy though of course during the lunch rush during the week. Ample parking. Clean restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Overall - if you're craving poke and in the area - this place is good but it's just overpriced.

Heard about this place on TikTok and it looked so good I had to try it. Worth the drive! Such generous portions. And was so delirious!. I got spicy salmon , salmon and forgot the other spicy fish. Service was fast and courteous also.

I've been on a bit of a poke kick lately, and since I didn't feel like heading out, I decided to get Poke Dot delivered. I'm always a little nervous about raw fish traveling, but this was absolutely delicious and arrived perfectly fresh! * Freshness: The fish quality was top-tier. Even with the delivery time, the tuna and salmon were firm and chilled, which is exactly what you want. * The Mix-ins: I love how they distribute the sauce--it wasn't soggy at all. Every bite had a great balance of flavor without drowning out the taste of the fish. * Portion Size: They were quite generous with the scoops and the toppings, making it a very filling and satisfying meal. The delivery was quick and the packaging was sturdy, so nothing leaked or got squished. It's definitely my new go-to when I want a healthy, high-quality meal but want to stay in. Whether you're dining in or ordering at home, Poke Dot is incredibly consistent. Definitely one of the better poke spots in the area for quality and portion size!

One of the best poke spots I've been to! The portions are huge, the ingredients are fresh, and everything tastes amazing. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff are super nice and friendly. Great food, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

Poke Dot is the most generously portioned poke shop in Irvine that I've found. Their regular bowl ($17.45) gives you three scoops of protein, with nice big chunks of fish. I like that crab meat, avocado and seaweed salad are available at no extra charge. It was so big that I think I could probably just get a small bowl next time. I had placed my order online and for pick up during the busy lunch hour (where the line was to the door). I had ordered two bowls and unfortunately the bases for them got mixed up, so I got my husband's white rice and he got my salad and brown rice. Oops. I might have given Poke Dot a higher rating, if not for this. If you come during weekday lunch, you may want to order online. Or maybe it's safer to just get in line and make sure your bowl is made the way you want.

Stumbled upon this place on my way to a tutoring class and it was pretty convenient for us. It was literally 2 minutes from the tutoring place and we could not be happier. We went in at 4:30pm and obviously it was not a busy time. The place was well-maintained, clean, and had plenty of seating areas. We ended up having a large bowl with a white rice as a base, and 5 scoops of delicious proteins (1 spicy tuna, 2 salmon, and 2 shrimp). For the sauce, we tried spicy mayo which was perfect (just the right amount of heat), and the toppings we picked our usual likings (green onion, seaweed salad, furikake, and masago). Honestly, we didn't expect to eat this much food before our dinner time, so we only managed to eat half and took the rest home for later.

Food: 3 Protein Poke Bowl (Half Brown Rice and Chips) Price: $17.45 Overall: My friend recommended this place to me. We came on July 4th and they weren't close until 4pm! Upon arriving, I like that they have a variety of fish options. Also, the portions are very big; each scoop of fish was generous! I got the regular, and they stacked up on the fish and sides. The avocado here was also free (IN THIS ECONOMY? SAY LESS). Not an authentic hawaiian spot but this is a solid casual poke with a great amount of indoor and outdoor seating!

Just wanted to throw that out there because don't let the parking deter you from trying this place out! THE FOOD. - Poke Bowl (Large) | The large is large! It comes with five scoops of protein and several options of toppings to choose from. Everything was fresh and delicious. If you're a salmon lover, definitely get a few scoops of it! THE DRINK. - Pink Lemonade | Sweet and tangy. Get it. THE RETURN? Yeah, I'd come back. I really like the portion sizes and the food quality is everything.

I wanted to fuel up before an off-site meeting, so I stopped by Poke Dot. I'm so happy I found this gem down the street from my office! They accommodated my custom order of a Large Bowl, but with all greens and 3 protein scoops (Tuna, Octopus, and Yellowtail). I added cucumber, jalapeno, cilantro, extra onions, green onion, and extra ginger. I then dumped a lot of sriracha on it. Mmmm, it was SO delicious and took me a while to eat because of all the yummy greens. The entire salad + a drink was $23.91 which is a tad pricey, but I think it was worth it. Can't wait to return to Poke Dot! read more

I wanna like this place because everyone I work with have had a positive experience. I placed a group order including the vegetarian bowl for me which looked super yummy. Was very disappointed with Houston's. My husband ordered the French dip and requested the meat have no pink , came to him with the meat crisp. The chef brought out a new French dip and looked annoyed. What was surprising, usually when an order is sent back , the manager usually comes to apologize. The manager quickly dropped off the bill. This is one of my new favorite poke spots, their fish is always really fresh and they cut their fish chunks pretty large which I love. Also they don't charge extra for the first scoop of avocado and crab which I appreciate since some poke spots do charge extra for that! They also have a variety of toppings that I like, and their sauces on the poke is pretty good. All in all I would definitely come back since it's close to my boyfriends work place. read more

I went to poke dot this weekend looking for something refreshing after a hot day out in the sun on top of being in one of the hottest heatwaves I have ever experienced. They are very organized with selections for sauces, toppings and protein. Nothing is extra which is nice so all toppings are free rein. I ordered a poke bowl with white rice, salmon and several toppings (pictured with this review). Honestly, I will have to say, I really enjoyed this place and haven't been here in a few years. The only downfall and why I'm giving it 4 stars, is the pricing. The pricing has gone up tremendously and it kind of puts a damper on the experience once you've had it at a lower price in the past. I order a regular sized bowl for $16 which I could have gotten by with the small size. Overall, all restaurants are raising their prices which is nothing new right now. They have a indoor and our door seating. I'd go again! read more

Such large portions I cannot stress that enough the employees are so generous and work efficiently ! Very high quality proteins, toppings, and more. Everything here is just worth it! They offer hot cheeto toppings, which I thought was weird at first but it's unique and doesn't hurt to try LOL and the avocados were free ugh I love it I'm coming back here soon! my favorite pokey place in Orange County. Fresh fish all the time I've been coming here since I was 17. The only reason why they're not getting a five stars anymore is because the service is absolutely awful. The workers are just rude and don't seem like they wanna be there , they always give poor attitude and little amount of fish in your pay 20 bucks for a regular. but I would still try it. still really good. :) but sucky ass attitude from workers read more

This place tends to always be a line, but they are super efficient and so you will quickly get through. Because so many people are using it, the food is super fresh. There's plenty of seating inside, as well as lots of seating outside in the area. The price is reasonable for a poke bowl. I will be back the next time I'm in the area. read more

I usually don't spend time writing bad reviews but instead I always recommend places when they are good, UNFORTUNATELLY this place is not the case. It used to be good when they opened but we all at the office noticed the quality went down. Today I tried again with the expectation that will be good since the last 2 times the service and food was mediocre, but today was worse. It was definitely the last time I go there for many reason but the main are: Poor service, un-fresh ingredients, and high prices. I even mentioned to the guys about the cucumber and avocado, they look rotten, they get back to me saying "no, they are good" looking not so sure about that answer. I Did paid $19.00 for a bowl made out of greens with 3 scoops of tuna and edamame, NOT WORTH IT at all. Hopefully the manager/owner see this comments and make some changes, starting with training employees to be more friendly, as I say, it used to be good, but no longer. read more

By far, my favorite poke place. But after today's experience... I don't think I will be back, which makes me really sad because their sauces are Amazing. There were many workers, all very nice. But there's one person who was actually making my order and she definitely did not want to be there. She's scooping the food and literally throwing it into the container. And I don't know what they were saying but later on I saw her yelling at the owner so I am assuming it's a family member. Anyways, very unhelpful, she said they were out of salmon so I ended up getting all tuna and cancelling the other order. while I'm checking out I ask will you have salmon back in the future and the owner goes yeah it'll be ready in two minutes. I mean like come on why couldn't you let me know, especially when I had ordered two but cancel the one when you said that there were no salmon. I even apologized that my son only eats salmon and I needed to cancel one of the orders. Why can't you just let me know that they're refilling it and will be out in two minutes... most unhelpful person ever. The owner was very nice and refused to charge me the 2 orders and only charged one. I appreciated the gesture. I was happy to have gotten the other order, as my son would have been super sad... But I take my order home and open it up and what do I find in the salad but a big green stink bug. It is not their fault, I know salad greens can have bugs in them- I guess it means it's not full of pesticides... but I HATE bugs!!! I guess... be mindful when eating salads!! read more

I ordered a regular bowl and boy was I disappointed. The fish didn't taste that fresh and I couldn't taste any of the sauces. Not only that but the bowl came in a to-go box which was extremely disappointing. For the portion it is not worth since I got a regular and got charged $17. The customer service was horrible too. I felt unwelcome when ordering. DON'T GO HERE! read more

Inside was small, clean, with a few hints of Hawaii (Tiki masks). Few community tables outside for the food court. Service was quick. But the girl who worked the front sure was amazing. We ordered by phone ahead of time, and they let us know our food would be ready right away. Picking up was no problem, and our food tasted warm and fresh back at home. While the location is probably busy and lively during lunch with all the corporate offices nearby, it was nearly empty in the evening. There is validated parking for the mess hall, and also a park across the street that has a free parking lot.

The inside of the restaurant is small, but could easily accommodate 30 people at shared tables. It's very clean inside and has seating at tables or bench seats along the wall. The menu consists of various Hawaiian-inspired dishes. I personally was craving garlic shrimp. I asked for garlic rice as well, but asked them to hold the onions. My husband had a spam and eggs meal. We also couldn't forget to add shaved ice to our order because we wanted something sweet and refreshing for dessert. The shrimp was delicious and did not have an overpowering fishy flavor. The garlic sauce was slightly sweet, which was quite refreshing. I was expecting something with more of a garlicky flavor, but this had hints of other spices combined for a unique flavor. I really enjoyed my meal! I'm glad that I came here with an open mine. I noticed that many of the reviews for Da Luau Hawaiian Grill were mixed. However, I personally enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back again in the near future.

You can either share a plate or have seconds for later and to me, the prices are great. With tip it was about $35 for two plates. I always get the bbq chicken with double mac and rice. Their mac salad is truly my favorite and I can never seem to get enough of it. It's absolutely delicious. The chicken katsu is always crispy and with the help of an air fryer - reheats nicely. I've never personally eaten there as we've always just got it to go but the inside probably has 10 tables and I've always found parking, no problem. We had the coconut shrimp ($12, but $7 during happy hour) which are always good. We also had some fries ($7, but $5 during happy hour). They were good and a generous portion. She wanted to try the vegan (cauliflower) salt & vinegar wings ($14, but $9 during happy hour). They were breaded and fried well, but had very little flavor. There was just a light sprinkle of a salt & vinegar seasoning. More salt and a dash of malt vinegar on them, or a side of malt vinegar would have made them a lot better. The happy hour food was a good value and got something in our stomachs. My first cocktail was the Wilderness Badge (Tequila, Lemongrass, Basil, Bergamot, Lemon, $17). This was by far my favorite. I love Italicus liqueur and this drink had great bergamot flavor up front with a light basil flavor from the basil infused tequila. It was very balanced and I would have never guessed this was a tequila based cocktail. She started out with the Sasquatch Sighting (Jamacian Overproof Rum, Cynar, Mango, Molasses, Lime, $17). This was balanced, with a light bitterness and light sweetness with mango flavor. Next, I tried The Lost Camper (Demerara Rum, Thai Green Tea, Pineapple, Coconut, Lime, $16). It was a pineapple bomb with a hint of coconut. I didn't like it at all and actually sent it back. I did think the skeleton arm and hand swizzle stick was cool. It is served with the hand at the bottom, but I took the picture with it sticking out. Instead, I had the Black Sands from the regular cocktail menu (Bali Hai Pineapple Rum, Diplomatica Reserve Rum, Pineapple, Orange, Guava, Lime, Coco, charcoal, $18). It is served with a flaming lime and sugar cube. I've had this several times and love it. It has a great funky complex flavor. Next, she had the Naked & Afraid (Mezcal, Campari, Smoked Pineapple, Serrano, Passionfruit, Lemon, $17). This was really good with a great complex mix of smoke and bitterness with a little heat. She gulped it down, and I was lucky to get a few sips. We decided to share the last new cocktail, the Scouts Honor (Vokda, Peach, Mandarin, Orgeat, Lime, $16) so we could say we tried them all. It looks nice with a bright orange color, but it was very sweet and peach forward with a hint of orange. Our server Crystal was great, very friendly and provided great service. We started collecting mugs recently, and we bought the Belly of the Beast Monstro mug ($62) to take home. BOTB is their Pinocchio themed speakeasy in the back (separate reservation required). They also have several other Stowaway branded mugs available. This visit was definitely better than our last few. As far as the five new Summer Camp cocktails, two were excellent, one was good, one was ok, and one was not good. The food was good, and is a great value during happy hour.

Some people might question the price, but take a minute to smell the different beans at the counter. You'll quickly realize that not every bean smells like coffee. The tasting notes actually come through and you can tell a lot of care goes into every pour over they make. Most drinks, aside from the pour-overs, are around $4.50 to $7, which is a far greater value for what you're getting in sheer quality. There are way too many cafes these days that focus on aesthetics and end up sacrificing quality. This place feels like it's run by people who genuinely love coffee and it shows in every order. Last note: they have their system down to a tee. The wait in line may be long but once you order it's super quick to receive your order.

Their Bingsoo is too icy and is not creamy and pillowy soft like other BIngsoo shops. Their Bingsoo almost tastes like shaved ice with fruit on top. Also, the condensed milk was given to us in a small cup and wasn't mixed in the bottom layers of each bowl. So, it was icy at the bottom, all the way to the top and then some strawberries with a condensed milk drizzle, a few mochi pieces, and then we were given a small cup of the condensed milk to sweeten it up ourselves. I don't think I will be back, except if I really don't have a choice for a dessert nearby.

I always go with the green tea rice, two scoops of crab meat, and 3 spoons of salmon for my fish. I have tried the scallops and octopus, but I always prefer getting thrice the quantity of salmon. The crab meat and spicy tuna is complimentary, which is also a nice plus. Then, they offer a variety of veggies, fruits, and toppings. My favorites are always the edamame, cucumbers, seaweed salad, and ginger. For sauce, I go for the house on the side as I do not like to smother my plate. The service has always been quick and friendly. Quick maybe because I do eat late and come when they are about to close, lol. Still, the place has always been very clean and the workers are patient and polite. I just found Poke Dot on Monday and I have already been back two days in a row because I absolutely LOVE this place! The freshness of the food is beyond amazing -- every selection tastes so fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. Food is always great but customer service stinks. When I visited there were 6+ people working and out of them all, one girl gave me great service. The rest seemed quite disinterested in any sort of customer satisfaction. On top of that, they said at the counter they hate making the wraps and it would be brought out to me shortly. After seeing a man set it down on the counter, the entire staff had walked by it many of times and when I went to ask where my food was, a snobby employee had no answers for me. Great food though! Just don't order the wrap! read more

So glad it's finally open! I work nearby so this location for poke is perfect. The wait was long today during lunch time when I went but it was definitely worth it. I enjoyed this concept of being able to customize your own poke bowl. I got a regular size with salmon, tuna, & shrimp and it tasted great with the medium spicy sauce, plus all of the veggies and toppings! The service was really good and the workers who helped me were all very friendly and welcoming. Will be coming back again soon! read more

If you like poke, this is a good place to go. Salmon, yellowtail, tuna, and shrimp were the selections of protein; all fresh. Nice location, but parking can be a challenge during peak hours(like all places in So. Cali.). If only a hour for lunch, then you would want to consider taking an early or late lunch to avoid the peak hour. read more
