First time trying this place today 3/21. Arrived at 6:45pm and was seated in 2-3 minutes. The place was not very crowded and it still had lots of available seats. As we sat at our table, Our server Larrisa was very nice and welcoming. The service was unorganized tho. The service needs more structure. Nothing wrong with Larrisa but the servers that brought our food didn't know which table to bring to. They asked questions from about 2-3 tables before bringing the food to our table. Our food did arrive but our appetizer didn't until we were done. Also I asked for Lemon Pepper wings and they ran out of lemon pepper seasoning! Huh??? They gave us Cajun season wings. Was craving a seafood boil, so my husband and I decided to come here for dinner. We've been here a couple of times before and always enjoy it! When we walked in, the restaurant was about one-third full. There was no wait, but we did stand there for a few minutes before being greeted and seated. Not a huge deal, just something we noticed. We usually order one of their Signature Combos with a side of white rice and Cajun fries (because you have to soak up that sauce ). This time, we went with Combo #1 -- one pound of clams and two pounds of head-on shrimp -- and got the house special sauce in medium. After we ordered, our server brought out lemons, salt and pepper, bibs, and gloves -- which we definitely appreciated because seafood boils can get messy! Our fries came out first, then shortly after the seafood, and then the white rice. Everything was hot and fresh when it arrived. The house special sauce had that perfect balance of buttery, garlicky, and a light kick. I will say the levels of spice is not consistent here - as the medium was just a light kick (felt more like a mild spice to me). The shrimp were juicy, the clams were yummy, and it fully satisfied the craving. Unfortunately, there was only one server working, which made getting additional items a bit of a longer wait (definitely not her fault!). Cajun Crack'n has got to be my favorite seafood boil spot--not only because of their prices, but also because of their incredible flavors. While we were in the Vacaville area, I couldn't resist stopping by to try it. For a Saturday, it was surprisingly not crowded at all. There were only two other tables, and this is a pretty big restaurant! I imagine most people were busy with Super Bowl events in San Francisco, San Jose, or Santa Clara. My boyfriend and I ordered Combo #1 - 3 lbs of shrimp, House Special, mild. They were kind enough to give me a side of spicy sauce. One thing I really appreciated: they serve the boil on a big platter if you choose, instead of leaving it in the bag. This prevents the shrimp from continuing to cook in the bag, which avoids overcooking and makes peeling much easier--definitely a plus! I also ordered the Blue Hawaiian drink from the happy hour menu. Our server kindly informed me that happy hour is Monday-Friday only, and the drink would be full price. I told her, "Oh, thank you for telling me. I'll still take one!" and she was so sweet about it. Overall, the food was delicious, as always. I do wish the server had checked in more often, as we had to flag her down a couple of times, but she was attentive and helpful whenever we needed anything--for us or other tables. I really wanted to enjoy this dinner (it was my first time here), but the way a serious issue was handled left me disappointed. I found a hard metal object in my garlic noodles (something stiff and bendable that felt like it could have been a staple or a piece of steel scrubber). I caught it in my mouth before swallowing, which was very alarming. If you've seen an old news report about a woman going to the hospital to get a steel bristle removed from her throat, you'd understand how scary this was. What bothered me most wasn't just the object itself, but how it was handled. The food runner (who first came by) apologized, which I appreciated. But after that, the server and 2 other workers (possibly the manager and owner) came by and none of them acknowledged what happened or offered a simple apology. They simply checked in to see if we got a fresh batch of garlic noodles. The dish was replaced, but it was still left on the bill. Situations like this are about more than just replacing food. A little accountability and care go a long way. Even something as simple as: "We take great pride in following safety standards, but tonight we fell short. We'll take this off your bill; please enjoy a fresh dish on us." That kind of response would have completely changed how this felt. I understand that mistakes can happen anywhere, but how you respond matters just as much. I hope the team takes this seriously moving forward (for both food safety and customer trust) because imagine if I swallowed that metal object and had to go to the ER and now the restaurant is liable for my medical bills. Our group of 12 came to celebrate a birthday for our friend who passed away a long time ago. We had a last minute change to this venue and so thankful that we were able to get a table. Our server was able to take our orders so we could chat and reminiscing about our friend and catch up with each other. So I'll start with the good! Our seafood boil came out piping hot - we ordered 1/2 lb shrimp and 1 lb crawfish, garlic butter, mild. And it was good... honestly didn't expect much because crawfish is usually frozen, but the taste wasn't bad. The fried okra was surprisingly good and the calamari rings were ok. They gave us bibs, disposable gloves, lemons, salt&pepper, and disposable utensils. It's gonna be a messy time eating...so I get it! The staff was friendly and checked in a few times. The place was empty on a Sunday afternoon with about 4 other tables sat. The OK: We were sat in a back corner, where we couldn't see the TVs. Normally I wouldn't mention it, but there were 3 other families there so it was a little weird to not be sat in the lighted areas. Tried to place an order or see if it'll be OK for me to come in and get an order to go upon opening the door, I was told that the kitchen closed 10 minutes early. Which is understandable if that would've been stated online or someone able to answer a phone call to let me know that before driving 18 minutes away . We came here on a Saturday and were greeted by friendly staff and no wait time. The ambiance of this place is very nice, clean, bright and welcoming. The tables are really spacious and the menus have a lot to offer. Our server was very friendly however I think she was the only server for the entire restaurant. Wait times took awhile for us to order, her to check in on us and we had to wave her down to pay our tab and ask for boxes. Other than that, the food (the crab boils we ordered) were amazing. Very flavorful and yummy. Our drinks came in to go cups and my husband's friend rice came on a paper plate so not sure what that's all about. Where have you been in a seafood boil place that's spacious. This place is it especially for large parties. There's plenty of room for you and your family. You can stretch out your arms while your workin them crab legs lol. Food is a 10/10 so far I have no complaints on the taste not bland it's always served hot. Drinks are always refilled. Worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. This is my second review because they took my first one down. So not only are they getting bad reviews taken down but the food was horrible. We waited forever, other people waited even longer. The bathrooms were disgusting. There was someone rolling a giant green trash can around full of garbage "cleaning" up tables and everytime it rolled by the whole place smelled even worse. (Totally ruins your appetite smelling rotten garbage) The service was abysmal, multiple different "waitresses" came to our table, some asking the same questions we had literally just answered. We ordered both Cajun sauce and garlic sauce for our bag. The fries were ok although there was nothing Cajun about them they were just regular fries. I wish the garlic sauce had more garlic flavor to it because it felt like our sauce was more Cajun and missing the garlic flavor. I wished there was more sausage in the boil as there was only enough for 2 of us and more crab as other seafood boil spots I've been to give you more crab for the same price. I went to this restaurant for the first time on Saturday, November 15, 2025. The place itself was spacious and cute. We were seated quickly. My daughter and I both ordered soup, the Cajun chowder and the gumbo soup with rice. Both soups were surprisingly delicious but they were served to us in to-go bowls which I found strange as we were dining in. We ordered the appetizer wings - Cajun flavored and lemon pepper. The wings came out piping hot. Unfortunately, however, BOTH flavors were NASTY because both flavored wings had sugar added to them which made them weird colored (the oil burned the sugar) and they were sweet instead of golden brown and delicious! I was completely turned off and didn't finish the order nor did I order anything else! The response from our server was nonchalant and she acted like there was nothing wrong with the wings! We got a lobster roll and the fried oyster plate. Both included a mountain of fries, far too much for a single person. But they were very well prepared.....crunchy and not too oily. We split both orders so we could both try each. The lobster roll was a little small, but we both enjoyed the roll it came on, as well as the dressing, which gave it a good flavor. My husband got a Mind Haze IPA $6.95 For entrees my husband got the Signature Combo with Crawfish & Shrimp $53.95. He wasn't too happy with the Crawfish. The work you have to go through to get the smallest bit of meat is so not worth it. I ordered a Catfish Po'Boy with Sweet Potato Fries $14.95 which was good. I also got an order of yummy Garlic Noodles $11.95 which were some of the best I've ever had. I'm not a major garlic fan, but boy these sure are delicious!! The food and service were wonderful. I used the womens bathroom which was a total disaster. There was garbage everywhere, toilets that take 2 trys to flush, & only 1 store bought soap dispenser. The faucets sprayed out water so hard it was bouncing off the bottom of the sink, so you basically got a shower all over the front of your clothes! The reason they are getting one star is because you can't give zero. The only real review I can give is on the Cajun Chowder which was pretty good. Being I am Pescatarian it would have been nice to know that they fry their food in the same oil as the chicken. The other food I ordered I threw all of it. Was sick all night..... I come to Cajun Crackin often for happy hour. The manager Joyce is here most of the time, taking orders and making drinks. This week I've been her twice. On my second visit Joyce all of a sudden wants to say "after" i ordered my second lemon drop that they are not on happy hour (mind you she made the wrong drink anyway).. I said since when, Joyce said they never have. Well Ms. Joyce, that's a lie. We ordered the lemon drops Monday and they were on happy hour, and previously when Joyce took our order they were on happy hour. My last couple of encounters with Joyce have not been good. She needs to work on her customer service skills, listening and not pick and chose with certain customers when she wants to change the menu/prices. Makenna, the waitress was amazing..thank you.
