Was craving a seafood boil, so my husband and I decided to come here for dinner. We've been here a couple of times before and always enjoy it! When we walked in, the restaurant was about one-third full. There was no wait, but we did stand there for a few minutes before being greeted and seated. Not a huge deal, just something we noticed. We usually order one of their Signature Combos with a side of white rice and Cajun fries (because you have to soak up that sauce ). This time, we went with Combo #1 -- one pound of clams and two pounds of head-on shrimp -- and got the house special sauce in medium. After we ordered, our server brought out lemons, salt and pepper, bibs, and gloves -- which we definitely appreciated because seafood boils can get messy! Our fries came out first, then shortly after the seafood, and then the white rice. Everything was hot and fresh when it arrived. The house special sauce had that perfect balance of buttery, garlicky, and a light kick. I will say the levels of spice is not consistent here - as the medium was just a light kick (felt more like a mild spice to me). The shrimp were juicy, the clams were yummy, and it fully satisfied the craving. Unfortunately, there was only one server working, which made getting additional items a bit of a longer wait (definitely not her fault!). She truly did her best to check in on us and keep things moving. Overall, this is a good place to get your seafood boil craving satisfied!

Cajun Crack'n has got to be my favorite seafood boil spot--not only because of their prices, but also because of their incredible flavors. While we were in the Vacaville area, I couldn't resist stopping by to try it. For a Saturday, it was surprisingly not crowded at all. There were only two other tables, and this is a pretty big restaurant! I imagine most people were busy with Super Bowl events in San Francisco, San Jose, or Santa Clara. My boyfriend and I ordered Combo #1 - 3 lbs of shrimp, House Special, mild. They were kind enough to give me a side of spicy sauce. One thing I really appreciated: they serve the boil on a big platter if you choose, instead of leaving it in the bag. This prevents the shrimp from continuing to cook in the bag, which avoids overcooking and makes peeling much easier--definitely a plus! I also ordered the Blue Hawaiian drink from the happy hour menu. Our server kindly informed me that happy hour is Monday-Friday only, and the drink would be full price. I told her, "Oh, thank you for telling me. I'll still take one!" and she was so sweet about it. Overall, the food was delicious, as always. I do wish the server had checked in more often, as we had to flag her down a couple of times, but she was attentive and helpful whenever we needed anything--for us or other tables. Highly recommend if you're in the area and craving a flavorful seafood boil!

Our group of 12 came to celebrate a birthday for our friend who passed away a long time ago. We had a last minute change to this venue and so thankful that we were able to get a table. Our server was able to take our orders so we could chat and reminiscing about our friend and catch up with each other. Hubby and I ordered the garlic noodles, shrimp basket and soft shell crab po boy. Our server was attentive and checked on us frequently. Our food came out and my bast was good. I really liked the garlic noodles (add lemon to it!), the sweet potato fries were so good and my shrimp was lightly breaded and good. Hubby and I didn't really like the soft shell crab po boy but it was edible. I would like to try the other stuff on the menu next time though. We had a great time.

If you have a seafood craving come here. Little pricey but the quality has always been the same. Fresh oysters, Oyster and Shrimp Po'boys sandwiches, Garlic Noodles, and their fries- sweet potato fries are my favorite! They also do Fried Okra, would definitely be back! Great place for a party, lots of seating, food is always fresh and made fast, definitely will be back!

So I'll start with the good! Our seafood boil came out piping hot - we ordered 1/2 lb shrimp and 1 lb crawfish, garlic butter, mild. And it was good... honestly didn't expect much because crawfish is usually frozen, but the taste wasn't bad. The fried okra was surprisingly good and the calamari rings were ok. They gave us bibs, disposable gloves, lemons, salt&pepper, and disposable utensils. It's gonna be a messy time eating...so I get it! The staff was friendly and checked in a few times. The place was empty on a Sunday afternoon with about 4 other tables sat. The OK: We were sat in a back corner, where we couldn't see the TVs. Normally I wouldn't mention it, but there were 3 other families there so it was a little weird to not be sat in the lighted areas. There was also what seemed like only 2 waitresses and it took a good 10 minutes for ours to visit us to say hello. It just seemed a little off for 5% capacity. Lastly, water. The first waters she brought out tasted fine! It was the second water refill that tasted like soap or something. I stopped drinking it. The price is what brought us here, compared to other places.

Clean and big establishment. Our waitress was very attentive and kept stopping by to ask how we were doing and if we needed anything. The catfish basket was crispy and tasty. It came with ranch, tartar, and ketchup sauces. We got the seafood boil combo #1 with 1 pound clams and 2 pounds head off shrimp with their house special sauce in medium spicy. I felt the medium spice was just spicy enough to enjoy the meal and I love spicy food. I felt like the leftovers overnight tasted better the next day when the flavors could soak into the boil.

The most pathetic, unseasoned, and flavorless shrimp "poor boy" ever ... It sure was POOR

Crunchy, saucy and juicy chicken. All are boneless, too. Comes with a side of daikon and shredded cabbage for dat fiber tho. My boo and I tried their galbi jjim with cheese. It came out in a fancy stone pot. It was loaded with pumpkin, carrots, rice cakes, glass noodles and their beef short ribs. The beef was tender and the veggies and rice cakes were tasty in the savory sweet sauce. We ordered a side of corn with cheese torched on top. It was pretty filling for 2 people. We had leftovers so the waitress took it to the back and had it sealed in a box for us to take. Their bbq chicken was surprisingly good! My SIL really liked it! The chicken wasn't dry and it was nicely seasoned and had a bit of char from their sizzling stone plate and tasted great with their rice and banchan side dishes. I like their kimchi, broccoli, macaroni and bean sprout sides. You can get them replenished, too! My mom tried their bulgogi bibimbap and she didn't have any complaints. My bro tried their brisket seolleongtang soup and he seemed to enjoy it because he finished the whole bowl without sharing. My lil' (under 2yo) nephew approved of anything that landed on his plate. Maru is located in a shopping plaza and tucked in the corner near Raley's. The restaurant is small, but modern. It's definitely not a place you would expect in Fairfield. Both times that I've come here we didn't have an issue with waiting for a table despite it being a small shop. You can order from a waiter, or you can order from their tablet screen at the table. Overall, good korean food for a reasonable price. Service was quick and the vibes were right. They were playing some kpop music! I'd definitely come back to get more fried chicken and try their soft tofu stew. Check them out if you're in the area. They should have Badtz Maru as their mascot lol

Their side dishes are pretty refreshing to eat between meals for a palette cleanse. We ordered bossam, a combo soft tofu soup, and soy garlic fried chicken to share! (Grilled mackerel was only eaten by my friend lol) Bossam -- holy moly SO GOOD. Slices are a little thin imo but I don't mind layering two pieces together to make a pretty solid wrap with the radish wraps and sauce they give you. The braised pork belly is pretty flavorful and well cooked itself and the complimentary sides, like kimchi and radish kimchi, added to it-- Wow. Definitely try this dish. Combo Soft Tofu Soup -- not a big fan of the spam added, but otherwise great flavor and comforting on a rainy day. I like dipping the rice (also complimentary with your meal!) into the soup-- not much to say other than it being pretty good. Soy Garlic Chicken -- Do keep in mind, these are more like nuggets than it is drumsticks or wings, but still really juicy and so crispy!! The soy garlic flavoring, wow, is perfect and I really enjoy the diced radish and dressed salad on the side. Quite a lot in portion, so quality and quantity are great! It was relatively empty when we arrived which was around a couple minutes after opening, but quickly filled up with patrons. It's pretty casual and cozy inside and I like how quick the check is given to you after the end of your meal so you don't have to worry about flagging down a server. They're really attentive ! This is such a hidden gem, I lowk would gate keep this restaurant but... they deserve recognition and business for their great food and service! ^o^ Definitely stop by here if you're craving Korean cuisine in Fairfield.

The salmon carpaccio was okay. Next time I would ask they not add the truffle oil. I felt like it took away from the flavor a bit. The radish micro greens were a nice spicy touch. Then walked away. My sister and nephew joined us at that time. My sister asked, who's are waiter? I asked why, she stated, thevladt time they came to Olive Garden, they had a server that was so rude to them, that no one left a tip, except for her. Then Nathan showed up and asked if we were ready to order. I said yes, and asked him about a new menu item sirloin tips in a spicy sauce. Nathan said, its a little spicy and I ordered it. But this is what strange. He must have remember my sister. Nathan said, " I hope to make your night a wonderful night" directed at my sister. She responded, you were so rude to us last time we were here. Nathan said I'm sorry, I hope to make it better. About 30 minutes had gone by and we got our salad and three bowls of soup. Now, two groups of people across from us had eaten and left. Another two groups came sat down was was eating already. Bus boys came by we gave them our dishes from the table. I watched Nathan go to every other table but ours. Watched him walk out the front door what looked like another employee. Returned back inside several minutes later. Then go to the opposite side of the room, near the hostess, and kneel down at another table and started having a conversation. Now, I know its busy, but its now been an hour, and we still haven't eaten. I sat there watching people get served dinner and leave and Nathan never came back to our table. We watched him he picked over the divider and totally ignored us. He would go to another table crossed from us and still wouldn't say anything. I finally requested a manager. Star, manager came over to see me. I explained the situation to her. Star, stated she would talked to Nathan and find out what's taking so long. Nathan came out with another bowl of salad and three bowls of soup. I told Nathan he had already brought them out to us an hour ago. We were waiting for our food. Nathan, I don't know what's taking so long, it's the cooks fault. I'll check on it for you. Ok, so, Waitress comes out with our food and hour and a half later. Nathan shows up, waitress tells him the order is in correct. My order that he and I discussed was completely wrong. Nathan asked me, did someone else take your order? I said no and you and I talked about it together. Again, Nathan, said sorry, I'll go and see what's the problem in the back. Nathan came out, they ( cooks) are working on your order. At which time my sister explain there was a problem with her meal. Nathan, responded, do you want me to take off your tab or just reorder another plate for you. Note: a party if four, two are eating and two are not ! My sister and I are still waiting for our food. But the response from Nathan was "We just can't make you happy at all!" Then walked away. By then a young lady ( Stephanie) came over to talk to me about the service. She offered us a $50 gift card and two write off the two meals we had received. I again stated, we have been here for an hour and a half. My wife and nephew had just completed their meals. My sister and I are still waiting and you offer a $50 gift card that wouldn't even cover our meals and the long wait. I requested a gift card for my sister and I. Stephanie went to talk to the manager Star. Ok, the final outcome, after talking to Stephanie, and 2 hours later, we left. My sister and I never got our food. But manger Star took good care of us. My wife and I waited outside the restaurant waiting for my sister and nephew. My nephew told me later as we end up eating pizza, that Nathan escorted them out the door, like they were being kicked out of the restaurant. Uncle he made me feel like a criminal. He then apologized. The "Service from Hell". I have never thought I would be the one to write a yelp review. But, Nathan, this isn't 1967. You really need better training, in your manners and respecting your customers.

Always a good sign when people keep coming in, and you can tell there are some regulars with the interactions from patrons and staff. You make your own food, so up to you to make it how you like it! I liked what I assembled, and will likely go back next time I'm feeling this type of meal. We didn't try the hot pot, but looked good. Recommend.
