We frequent this poke spot for lunch and it doesn't disappoint! All ingredients are fresh! I like to get a 3 scoop with half rice and salad. From there it's easy to pile on all the included toppings such as edamame, corn, inari tofu, ginger, wasabi, masago, green onions etc! Sauces are good and I always leave satisfied. Service is great, the place is nice and clean with ample seating and lots of parking. I will continue to come to Pokeland as its one of the best in the area.

Best poke in Ventura county All their poke land locations are great, but this one is the best Service is very fast and the owner is nice and remembers me every time Love the fact that avocado and masago are included, unlike most other poke restaurants Fish is fresh and tasty Topping selections are superb

Super easy to order and lots of toppings to choose from and get. Portions are good, lots of rice hahah. Water station is nice, plus other sauces like soy sauce. Overall great and would come here again!

My large poke bowl for $15.95

Craving for some Poke bowl and this place was recommended by my PT. I ordered large poke bowl and I got to choose 5 types of seafood so i got spicy tuna, regular tuna, scallop, imitation crab meat and shrimp. I was hesitant to eat the scallop cuz it's raw and I don't know how my tummy will react. I got their house special sauce and wow! That was plenty and the price is affordable at $15.95 The food was good and service was fast. I think I needed more of the house sauce because towards the end, it became tasteless. I would definitely come back.

Apparently I HEARD, the way that they practice in the back kitchen on how they prepare the food is not necessarily the most sanitary coming from a friend of mine. Despite that, if I was never told about any of that I'd say the food at this place tastes great and the people who serve you are exceptional. I still eat here despite what my buddy told me -- in fact, I'm just going to say bro was a liar because I haven't died of food poisoning yet

Great place and hidden gem for poke! I ordered a large bowl, which comes with five scoops of protein. I chose salmon and tuna, and the fish was incredibly fresh. They were very generous with everything - scoops, toppings, and the sauces. The staff was very friendly, and the service was quick. The plaza has plenty of parking! Definitely making this spot my go-to poke place.

This is probably one of the best poke places in the area. The fish is nice and fresh and the options are great. Service is friendly and fast. This is a super casual place and there's seating indoors. No seats outside. This place is located in a plaza so there's plenty of parking. They pack your food in a to go container when you order, so it's nice to have the option to pick whether you eat at the restaurant or take it to go.

Located in a plaza with lots of parking. It's always very clean inside with lots of tables and chairs to dine in. Service is very fast even if there's a line. Super efficient. It's like chipotle but for poke. Haha I frequent this place often to satisfy the craving for poke. This place is so yummy and so worth it for what you pay! Regular gets you 3 scoops of fish/protein. Love that a scoop of imitation crab and avocado are in used at no extra charge. They have plenty of toppings and it's all free. Customizable to whatever you like or want. They have many options for sauces as well. I usually get a regular with 3 scoops of salmon, sometimes I'll do one scoop of scallops with half white rice and half salad. I always get the house sauce and a little bit of spicy mayo on the side.

Always good service. Food is fresh, staff is welcoming and nice. Would order from here again

Poke Land is my favorite poke spot in the 805. The fish is always super fresh and cold which I love. They also have such a great variety of sauces and toppings. That keeps me coming back as their bowls just always hit right and taste the best. I frequent the Ventura location the most but now I've been here to the Thousand Oaks spot a few times and they are just as good. This location is in a busy shopping center in Thousand Oaks but thankfully no issues finding parking as they are located more in the middle. The shop is always clean and the staff are inviting. I came in yesterday for lunch and the staff were very friendly and attentive. They don't skimp on the portions here and for the price a large running you $16 can't be beat. My go to order is white rice with a mixture of tuna, salmon and spicy crab. I add cucumbers, crab, onion, seaweed salad, crispy onions, corn, green onions, masago, and the sauces are spicy Mayo, eel sauce and chili/sesame oil for me. Such a good spot, definitely give them a try! Always hits the spot.

I think I went to heaven when I bit into the Cajun style orange roughy. I've never had roughy before, only known about it's crazy long life, living over 200 years, but the smoky spicy seasoning was so addicting, and then it wrapped my tongue in a hug with beautifully flakey and sweet fish. But I'm certain this place could take the grossest fish in the world and make it the greatest meal I've ever had. Paired it with a delicious green salad and french fries since it comes with 2 sides. I was so stuffed by the end, if you threw me into the ocean I would probably sink in contentment. Also got the Athenian shrimp pasta, I think I died in heaven and reached second heaven. The world's greatest linguini, perfectly al dente, with deliciously juicy shrimp, tomatoes, feta, and 2 slices of soft buttery bread to soak up the sauce? The sweetest service too. Salad came out first and by the time the salad was done around 10 minutes later, steaming hot food magically appeared. I cannot believe how dead it was when we walked in, this place should have a line all the way to LA at all times. I did stifle a small laugh at the fish tacos. Absolutely delicious of course, but I do love this rendition. 100% coming again

Then when I placed my order, I like to try things even if I take left overs so I asked for two appetizers and then a dinner plate and he said "two" then he goes and tell the other guy in Spanish how I wanted both appetizers. Now I didn't care that they were making a comment on that, I didn't want to take offense but it was as if I wasn't important enough for them to care that I'm sitting right there while they have a full blown conversation about what I ordered. Now the food sadly was not good. I was expecting some real flavors. The chicken looked delicious but it has no flavor. Absolutely nothing. The hummus was very graining and not at all tasty like others I have had. The tzatziki sauce had too much lemon that it over power the flavor. I've gone to many Mediterranean style restaurants and I know that the hummus and sauces can be made different but this one was not good. The food was the pita bread, that was actually very tasty. The rice and vegetables again no flavor. I'm not sure if maybe this was a bad day for the cook becuase based on the reviews I really thought I was going to get some tasty food. It was very disappointing and I will never return. They are in a plaza so there is lots of parking and the seating area is nice they also have outdoor seating

The mall this place is in is a dump. There is a Mexican restaurant next door. I mention this because there is the crab/seafood menu and then there is an extensive Mexican food menu as well. I wonder if they just get the Mexican food from the restaurant next door? I don't know, nothing wrong in that. The tables have a paper "tablecloth" on them with plastic utensils. The reason for this is they don't use plates. They just bring you your seasoned seafood in a double plastic bag, and it is dumped out onto the paper "tablecloth". I saw this happening at the only other occupied table and immediately lost my appetite. My wife, undeterred, ordered some mussels. Ordinarily, we'll also order vegetables with any meal, but the side servings of vegetables are priced like filet mignon. I asked if I ordered the chips & guacamole, did it come with a serving of salsa? Alas, our server said no. What does a tiny amount of salsa cost a restaurant? 50 cents? So, I stuck with a glass of water. I was done. I couldn't bring myself to eat here. My wife ate a few of the mussels, digging them out from the plastic bags with her plastic fork. She said they were "ok" but we paid and departed, after a very poor experience. No pictures because I wasn't in the mood.

But it is REALLY loud. There were maybe 9 people in there and you had yell at the person next to you because it's all concrete and metal. Not sure who thought this would work but it definitely does not. Also doesn't look like anyone had a plan of what they wanted the space to be. Live music? DJ? The acoustics are going to be awful. It's a massive space with a bunch of tables and nothing else. It's quite simply just odd. As for the food, it's not good. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. Pretty bland and nothing is fresh. It's also outrageously overpriced. Chicken fajitas were meh and they were $27.00. We got shrimp and they were rubbery and came in a plastic bag, which was in a bucket. Weird. Also, no silverware. Only plastic. Just a headscratcher all around. The website says they have happy hour but they didn't have a separate menu. Just two dollars off drinks is what w were told. Probably why it was empty at 5:30. Also weird. They have this huge space and don't seem to have any idea what to do with it. Drinks were the same as the food. Wildly overpriced and the bartender didn't seem to know what they were doing. So, fitting for the overall concept. I was excited about the new bar because we have an office down the street but this looks like a hard pass for me. 5 stars is for the staff because they were great.

With its true mom and pop shop feel, this place delivers not just on flavor, but on that welcoming, no-frills atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again. Entrées: We ordered the chicken katsu and kalbi short ribs, and both were outstanding. The chicken katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside while staying juicy and tender on the inside, paired with a flavorful sauce that brought everything together. The kalbi short ribs were just as impressive, marinated well with that sweet and savory balance you expect from great Hawaiian BBQ, and cooked to perfection with a nice char. Sides: Each plate came with white rice and macaroni salad, and both hit the mark. The rice was fluffy and a perfect base for the meats, while the macaroni salad was creamy, simple, and exactly what you want alongside a hearty Hawaiian meal. Appetizers: We also grabbed a classic spam musubi, and it did not disappoint. The spam was nicely seared with a slightly sweet glaze, sitting on perfectly seasoned rice and wrapped in seaweed. Simple, but done right. Ambience: The vibe here is as authentic as it gets. It truly feels like a small family-run spot where the focus is on good food and good service rather than anything flashy. That mom and pop atmosphere adds a lot of charm to the overall experience. Overall: Luau Grill is a must-visit if you're in Thousand Oaks and craving authentic Hawaiian food. Dining here with our three sons was easy and enjoyable, and from the quality of the dishes to the welcoming feel of the place, everything comes together for a great experience. Easily one of the best Hawaiian spots around, and definitely somewhere we'll be returning to.
