Small box, white rice with salmon and octopus

My husband was craving poke while we were in Glendale so we stopped by Poke N Roll. I was disappointed by how they charge extra for some of the toppings that are typically common in poke. Everything seemed overpriced and the staff didn't seem happy to help us. My husband asked for wasabi, and they gave him a small container of the tiniest bit of wasabi in there. They seemed stingy and not willing to give more than what exactly fit in their scoop. They also don't mix the sauces in, but give them to you in containers which is unusual compared to other poke places we've been to. The poke tasted good and the fish was fresh, but it was a disappointing eat due to the price and lack of quality service.

    A pathetic amount of fish

I ordered from this establishment for to go off of grub hub. Look at the pathetic amount of fish they put in my order. I paid for an additional scoop and also paid extra for yellowtail which they skimped. They took advantage of the fact it's to go and skimped on the fish. I'm never ordering from them again.

Came to this poke spot in Glendale never been here b4 it was really good and really packed i was amazed on how big the box was so if ur really enjoy poke n want more portion come try this place out fresh and fast

tried this poke spot near the americana and pleasantly surprised at how fresh the fish was!and for a size large, we got a considerable portion. ive tried other poke spots in glendale and nothing really stood out (although also not bad) and i would say poke n roll ranks slightly above the others. the only gripe i had was that the sauce wasnt mixed into our fish like i was used to, i maybe could have asked for them too but i found it odd they didnt do it automatically. so i was just dipping my fish into the sauce on the side.. otherwise i would return! really friendly workers and seems the staff are huge fans of house and I really enjoyed the freshness of the salmon especially.

each sauce is one dollar! I hope you aren't the type to like to put everything on it lol

I decided to try out a new poke spot and I'm a little disappointed. I've tried a few pokey spots and I'm well aware that pokey is not cheap. However, I always feel like you get your moneys worth except for today. I paid $23 for this Poké bowl. The fish was very fresh and so were all the ingredients, but I felt like the staff could've been more friendly. The young lady that assisted me didn't give me any type of direction. It was my first time here. The fish options that they had were very simple. The toppings were also very simple. Being that it was my first time, I asked the girl to pick a sauce that was sweet and spicy because I wasn't familiar with the sauces. and she gave me a container didn't explain what it was and just said it's going to be extra. I tasted it. I think it was oyster sauce, but it definitely was not what I was looking for so I went back and asked for two additional sauces, which both were a dollar each extra. I won't be coming back. Although it was fresh and it tasted good. It did not meet my expectations for a poke bowl. My advice would be to thoroughly read the board menu before ordering so you don't miss out on any special toppings. I usually rely on the employees to kind of suggest the good stuff. and I usually like all the sauces mixed so it was unfortunate that I had to pay for each single one. They had plenty of parking and it was really nice, clean and fresh inside. Very nice place.

The sauce I chose was ponzu sauce. I like the spice level of the spicy tuna. One side of the albacore was grilled which was surprising. It was $15.45 for the small bowl. The price seems reasonable. One employee asked if I'd like crab and seaweed salad. I said yeah. Crab is probably imitation crab. I like that the crab and seaweed salad are free. I don't think other poke bowl restaurants serve them for free. I like how the sauces and toppings are labeled on the display cases or glass. I didn't see the trash can so I asked an employee where I was supposed to place the tray and bowl. He said he could take it. Employees were kind. One employee said I'd be paying with cash since I had a $20 bill out. There are at least 4 tables inside. Music played through the speakers. Chairs were stools. A small plant was placed on each table. They seemed real. One table had 2 chairs on each side. Tables were grouped together. There are tables outside. Natural light filtered through the floor to ceiling windows. I could feel the AC inside.

One of my favorite things to get at Fish King is the plate with the swordfish skewers. This dish is honestly so unique, and I haven't found anything like it anywhere else. It's basically two shish-kebab style sticks of seasoned swordfish, peppers, and tomatoes, and it's served with a few sides in addition to fried veggies and shrimp. I also really enjoy their tacos. They also have very generous servings of poke (I personally don't get the poke from here because it's already mixed in with raw onions and I don't like raw onion). Prices are all very reasonable--the swordfish plate I mentioned earlier is around $15 and a pretty large amount of food. Fish King does get pretty busy especially around mealtimes so it's better to order in advance and pick up so that you don't have to wait around as long. I think if you order in person, you can expect a 20-30 min wait when it's busy. There's a small lot on the side of the market and sometimes you can find street parking too. There are some tables on both ends of the market so you can dine in, it's very casual.

The veggies were ripe and yummy and the sauces made it so much better....I'm such a sauce guy, need sauce on everything. And finally, I absolutely loved the taste of their crispy onions. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, sweet and soft on the inside and they were just so fresh ---this spot makes them in-house and they come to your bowl pretty much out of the deep fryer that you can see towards the back of this spot. Ended up going for dinner with the family and husband. They made us fill out a paper order since we were a group of 5. Our orders were filled by two different people, Kimberly (who messed up my brother's girlfriend's order and my mom's order) and Paola (who made sure to follow-up with my husband and I about our requests and informed us if they had items that were no longer available). We watched Kimberly put soba noodles into my mom's order even though she didn't ask for it and she denied it, even though she was clearly distracted chatting with a regular customer who was behind us. My mom kept asking and Kimberly was confident she didn't put the noodles in the order and rang the order up. My mom checked her bowl and there were noodles. Kimberly refused to give us the paper order since she had tossed it, but Paola was kind enough to redo the order. My brother's girlfriend had crossed off items from her original order, but Kimberley ended up ignoring her marks and also didn't inform her they had no more of a certain item that Paola had told my husband and I they ran out. She decided to keep her order since she didn't want to deal with Kimberly. Kimberley ended up requesting for the food order she messed up on back and she tossed it. We definitely ended up holding up the line because of the redo for one of the bowls and think that it would've been better if they just did our orders one by one verbally, so we could make sure our order was done right. Unsure if I will come back if Kimberly is still there cause I don't trust her taking my order and was glad Paola was the one that took my husband and I's order.
