I love this place! For me, what makes a Poke Bowl is as much the toppings than the fish. And they have toppings galore! You get about seven protein options, pricing is based on how many scoops each. After that, you're good to go in choosing your toppings. Woot! A killer selection that you won't find anywhere else--except for maybe in Hawaii. They had stuff like masago, pickled ginger, thin cucumbers slices, surimi (imitation crab), seaweed salad, nori strips, black and white sesame seeds, and lots of other goodies. Of course, the base fish protein selection was solid in selection, featuring both spicy and regular versions of ahi and salmon, unagi (smoked eel), and others. All around, I'd have to say this is the best poke joint I've been to between Edmonds and Tacoma. If you want better, you might as well buy yourself a ticket to Hawaii. read more

Aloha Poke is the best!!! These types of Poke bars are super common in Southern California where I'm from and I am so glad I found this one. Management and ownership is amazing!!! They are always the sweetest. The portion for the price is great and everything is fresh and DELICIOUS. I always leave with leftovers. The Poke bowl is like a deconstructed sushi roll! They also have tofu with a tofu sauce so vegan is definitely an option. The variety of sauces takes the flavor to the next level. The shave ice is also very nicely presented and tasty. The layout is very modern and trendy which I like. It's in a good location and ordering is so easy. I approve! This place is delicious & we have been frequent visitors. I'm from Hawai'i so when I noticed the name, Aloha Poke, I was super excited to see if the owners were from Hawai'i as well. They're not & they're actually Korean, but they represent the place well. The fish tastes fresh & they have an assortment of toppings to choose from. One funny thing to point out, the workers kind of hound you to add sauces on top of your bowl during multiple occasions during the bowl building process. I was so thrilled this place opened. The facility is clean and service was great. On my first visit, I had Salmon, Ahi and Unagi Poke Bowl. A lot of food for the price and it was delicious. *not my choice in poke shops in the area* for 2 reasons. 1. I felt rushed the entire time, from the second I walked in to when I left. Yes, I was "welcomed" in the sense that she talked really fast and it seemed that she just wanted to get this over with so she I could leave. Let me tell you that it was not busy-- there were 5 people sitting and eating and no one ordering. so there should've been no reason for me to be rushed. I told her give me a second so I could read the board but she asked questions to get started like rice and stuff. you can go to a different poke shop and if it's not busy, YOU aka the customer control the pace. when it's busy-- I understand completely. 2. for the price, you can go somewhere else that serves more and tastes better. the portions look like a decent size but that's because the bowls aren't big. also, for the ratios of the bowl and things they give you, they don't even it out so as you're finishing, I had a few cubes of fish and not a lot of anything else and my bites are with everything because I mix my poke. they're very limited on the sauce in the sense that they don't put a lot (personally I like a little more than a little lol!) and before I could ask for her to put sauce on my rice too, back to how I said I was being rushed, she was already onto toppings and had put the sauce down. like she was quick. the taste of the poke bowl was borderline bland and I wasn't impressed with the spicy shrimp... I would've rather gotten regular shrimp. the place is quaint and cute, very modern, and it looked clean so points for that but otherwise.... I dropped in here because I love poke and was finishing up yoga not feeling like making dinner! I had read a few reviews before my visit so I had some idea what people were saying about the quality of the fish etc. I though the bowl overall was delish! My fault for not asking for more sauce, the greens were a bit overwhelming in quantity and outnumbered the rest of the tasty toppings! And I'd have to agree with some previous reviews in that the protein portion needs to be upped just a tad! Little skimpy on the good stuff sadly. I have no problem paying $10 and change for a good poke bowl but not if it's mostly lettuce and rice. I've had awesome poke from supermarkets in Hawaii for like $3, gotta step it up mainlanders! Every time I'm in this part of town I stop in, this is the best Poke I've ever had except maybe the Japanese market in Wailuku, Maui. The portions of poke and the variety of toppings was great, but I have had better poke. First off, there is only a choice of 2 cubed fish: ahi tuna and salmon. But you can choose from the standard shrimp, squid, spicy tuna, etc. They give you a lot of base food: white/brown rice, salad, and there are a lot of toppings to choose from as well: seaweed salad, imitation crab, green onions, ginger, sesame, dried seaweed, masago, and onion. You could also choose sauces, and I got shoyu. What was slacking was the fact that the sauce was only drizzled on the fish chunks and not mixed with it. Good portions but less flavor. read more

Without their risk taking, I cannot enjoy/not enjoy what they have to offer, and give my honest opinion. Jump right to it - price to scoop ratio is what you'd expect for poke. Protein is only limited to ahi tuna/salmon, sauces are good, and sides are common as with most poké places. The establishment is clean and pleasant to eat. I believe if the shave ice was out in front, rather than hidden behind close doors, it would add $$$ to their bottom line(seeing shave ice being made is pleasing to the eyes). So if you live in the area or very close by, it's a place to go. I myself would venture elsewhere, since trying Aloha Poké(fairly new(4-5 months)) out. read more
