These guys offer not only white and brown rice but also spring mix and iceberg lettuce base allowing me create a sashimi donburi of sorts. The ahi is fresh and plentiful, the sauce perfect. Give it a try!

Quick stop for Poke while driving from Seattle to Olympic National Park. We had great service; they were so helpful in recommending toppings and did not skimp on the sauces. They were well knowledgeable on which ingredients were gluten-free. Overall, this as one of the best poke we have ever had! Very flavorful!

Shared parking with other restaurants, can be a little tight and busy. Restaurant is always clean, poke and other toppings are fresh and never look (or taste) like they have been sitting too long. Lots of options, very reasonably priced. They are very generous with their portions. Friendly staff, do not rush you as you look at the options and decide which you want.

My favorite poke spot! Nicely decorated inside and kept real clean, they even have glass between the customers and counter. I really like that they have BOTH brown rice and white rice (love the brown rice). Build your own bowl and have it just the way you want! I go for the spice with spicy salmon and spicy tuna. All the toppings you could want are also there. For a quick and fresh/healthy meal this place is hard to beat!

My mom suggested I try this place out while I was visiting town for the holidays. She says she stops often and gets a bowl to take home. I wasn't sure what to expect since most poke places I've been to were fancy and usually sit-down and be served affairs. So I was surprised and pleased to see that this place was more of a "fast casual" place where you can order all of your ingredients at the front and take your order with you from there. I had a bowl with a wide variety of ingredients. Proteins I used were spicy salmon as well as tuna. Both very fresh and delicious! Also had a wide array of veggies and other things, including crab mix which always adds a great flavor. I feel that I got a great lunch that completely filled me up. My mom could only eat half of the bowl and took the rest home. Overall this was a great experience with great food and a great healthy choice in the area. The employees were very friendly and accommodating for me as a newbie. Lunch was just below $15 but it was all worth it. I would say this place is on par with Chipotle prices but you're getting a different and more healthier option. I would definitely return!

I loved this spot I always have . I have reviewed here many a time . But there was GLASS?!... in my husbands poke bowl He had his usual a poke bowl with double proteins , double tuna double salmon . Seaweed salad , edamame, avacado , cucumbers He said he crunched down on something hard and he spit it out and I thought it was a piece of plastic it definitely was not . It was a piece of chipped glass and then I was worried to eat my bowl only because I was scared to find glass in mine and break a tooth . I have never had this issue before but that was really alarming seeing a chunk of Glass in the food .

We've been ordering from this restaurant for a while, and I always specify that I have a sesame allergy. Other sushi and Asian restaurants I've been to have successfully accommodated this allergy. The food here is delicious, and we've enjoyed it, but I've been experiencing issues and reactions. I didn't initially connect these reactions to the food because the order always comes labeled with "sesame allergy." Fortunately, my reactions don't lead to anaphylaxis and I don't need an EpiPen, just a lot of Benadryl. However, today I clearly saw sesame seeds in my order. I called and spoke with someone who initially thought I had called the wrong restaurant. I confirmed I had not. Then she asked if I could have sesame oil because the fish is marinated in it. A person with a sesame allergy cannot have anything containing sesame. She told me I needed to call ahead to inform them of the allergy, even though it's noted in the order and written by hand on the bowl. The chef then came on the line and assured me he hadn't marinated any of the fish in sesame oil. I asked about various items in my bowl and was assured there was no sesame, but there were clearly sesame seeds present. I opted to eat the spam musubi instead, but upon further inspection, I found sesame seeds in that as well. It appears that the sesame seeds are in the rice, which is likely the source of the problem. If you have food allergies, I'd suggest exercising caution here because it seems they are not aware of what allergens are present in their foods and may gaslight you.

Went here for lunch on a whim, and it was pretty good. I had read in a review that you could get gluten free options and compared it but honestly it was just plain salmon or plain tuna. The portion size for 3 scoops was good and it was fresh. It was quick to get and everything but service left a little to be desired.

I got a notification that my very old review was being featured so I decided it was time to update.I used to really love poke pop but I don't go here as much anymore. Like everything else since Covid prices have gone up but that's to be expected. If you're going to order from Poke Pop avoid using Door Dash because the portions are considerably smaller when using door dash than when you go in and order. After several experiences with that, I've found I don't have that problem when I order from the other poke spot in the tacoma mall. I still like Poke Pop but I just avoid them on Door Dash. I've always had very professional, and kind customer service here. The establishment is always well kept and clean.The atmosphere is nice and much better than a lot of other grab and go style places. There is a seating area but I usually get it to go.

My friends and I came here last week for lunch. For those who are familiar with the franchise, Just Poke, Poké Pop has basically the same fish choices and toppings. I ordered a 2-protein bowl for $13.99 with half salad and half rice and spicy ahi and spicy tuna. I got all of the free toppings and the poke sauce too. I have to say, the portion sizes, especially the amount of fish you get is pretty small for the price. Additionally, their spicy poke options were very mild and not spicy at all; I even added spicy Mayo as a topping and I couldn't taste any spice. Lastly, I was disappointed by the crab salad as it was simply just shredded surimi without any mayo mixed in with it. Service was fine and quickly put together my bowl. While it was worth a try, I think I can find better poke and more value for my buck elsewhere. Overall: 3/5 for food, 4/5 for service

Lovely ambience with lots of natural light from the glass windows. There is ample seating, and the tables are kept very clean. Delicious poke bowl with generous servings. The fish seems very fresh to me! The menu on the wall clearly states which toppings will incur an additional charge. The workers are very amicable and offer detailed answers to questions about the food and ingredients. I would highly recommend stopping by this fine establishment.

Yummy poke. It's casual and you order at the counter to select what you want in your poke bowl. It is really good, and seems fresh. There is not a lot of variety, but what they have is done really well. The fish is kept cold, and the food prep area is always kept clean, but I do worry about people with shellfish allergies because the scallops and shrimp are kept right next up everything else and juices could drip off the serving spoon into another protein when serving. Pros: Yummy. Good pricing. Fresh. Tofu as a VEGETARIAN option for the protein. Cons: Not a lot of variety. Wasteful disposable containers for to go AND eating in the restaurant. Possible concern for people with shellfish allergies. read more

Honestly, I'm confused as to why this place has such good ratings since the poke here was subpar. Maybe I just have higher standards since I'm surrounded by better poke places in Seattle, but the poke really shouldn't be considered poke. I tried the spicy ahi, regular salmon, and spicy salmon. The regular salmon was so bland! And I'm pretty sure that the spicy ahi & spicy salmon were just smothered in some watered down gochu-jang or sriracha blend... Poke isn't Korean and shouldn't taste Korean, but this place did. The cuts were uneven as well. The overall serving size was big, but not proportionate whatsoever. When I first saw my bowl, I was pleasantly surprised because it looked huge but I soon realized it was an illusion since the spring mix and crab salad servings were so large. I felt as if I was just eating those two things the entire time. read more

Cheap. Good food, but for what you get- it's not worth it- you pay extra for 3 thin slices of avocado. And your one scoop of of protein consists of 4 pieces of fish. It might have been that they were running out of the fish, but they should have replaced it. Disappointed honestly read more

I just ordered this on doordash and here is the portion of Salmon I received. This is crazy, I have never in my life received this little of a scoop of protein from a poke place. It doesn't even look like a scoop, it looks like a spoon. Don't order here. It wasn't worth the $11.99 +tax and delivery. read more

This place was great! We ordered poke bowls on uber eats and it was quick and everything seemed super fresh. I didn't order anything f raw just because I'd never tried this place before but I for sure will try the tuna next time. Love all the choices for the bowls and it was super filling. I think I paid just a little over $12 for my bowl with 2 proteins, squid salad and spicy shrimp. Both delish. Would for sure eat here again read more

Fresh and delicious! This is my first time at poke pop and I'm in love. Most poke places only offer rice as a base and although I love rice, I don't like it warming up my poke. Definitely glad to have a good, reasonably priced poke spot nearby! Not only that, but one that's on UberEATS for those days when you're just feeling a bit lazy. The spot is cute, located in a little strip mall just down the road from Tacoma Community College. Definitely nice to have nearby on days when I don't feel like heading home for a meal after class. Please don't interpret 3 stars as a negative review at all. A 3 stars puts a place on my good list most of the time. Especially if it's a spot like Poke Pop with friendly staff and one helluva selection. Not to mention the food has been fresh-as-fresh-can-be each and every time I've gone, probably since they keep relatively small amounts on the bar at a time. A 3-protein bowl with all the toppings you could want for around $12 is nothing to sneeze at, and their various musubi are all super good as well. And for those who may be trying to cut carbs and/or watch their figure like I'm sure I'm supposed to, you can sub out white rice for brown rice or salad if you're so inclined. More power to ya. My main pet peeve is the small serving of unagi that you get if you choose that as a protein. It appears as though each serving is only 3-4 small pieces of eel. A serving size like that only makes for 1-2 bites, but damn are those bites good! All in all I'll definitely be making return trips to Poke Pop when the craving hits! read more

For ya'll pokemons this place might hit the spot if you are in the mood for some decent poke! Employees are friendly! Limited choices but they do keep it pretty simple! Squirtle approved! BTW, If you are looking for great poke or giving Hawaiian poke a try for the first time give GoPoke located up north in the International District (Seattle) a try first. Fish tastes fresh here :) decided to come in for lunch after an appointment in Tacoma and I was happy I did! Toppings are the standards like corn, salad veggies, masago, onions, and so on.... they have ahi and salmon and they also have the spicy version of them! I saw they have octopus so don't worry if you don't eat raw fish. Will definitely be back again next time I'm in the area! read more

I really didn't expect to like this place as much as I do for the simple fact that I make my own Poke bowls at home just the way I like it. Due to Covid and the lack of supplies to make my own I caved and bought a make your own classic bowl. It was so delicious and the added ground spicy ahi ... Broke da mouth. I will be returning. I thought the pricing was reasonably priced considering the quality of the food and freshness. Customer service was excellent, the girl making my bowl was helpful in explaining what each ingredient was. I wish I took a picture of my bowl but I ate it all before I realized I should do a review to let others know . read more

This thing called "poke" was introduced to me not too long ago. So far this has only been my second poke bowl. So far i love the mix with unagi (eel) and salmon mix. Although this has been only my second bowl ever i am sure i will be eating more of it in the future. This Poke Pop place is very clean and friendly. My favorite poke restaurant in town. It is clean and modern inside. Food is always fresh. I love their scallops and spicy tuna. And the seaweed salad is YUM. Staff is helpful. My mouth is watering now though I just had it couple hours ago. So glad to have a poke place in town. Thank you Poke Pop! read more

My husband wanted poke so we came here based on the reviews. We were not disappointed. The spicy ahi and spicy salmon were delicious. The Kim chi as well. If there was a down point, it was the tofu (husband says it was too spongy for him). We would definitely come back and eat here again read more

This place is legit. Casual enough for a friend or family, but trendy enough for a date. I got the 3 scoop salmon and avocado with light sauce plus spring salad and brown rice. It was tasty! I've passed by this place a few times on my way to take my son to his training sessions, and didn't think too much of it except that I wanted to stop there one of these days with him to see if it was any good. He's 10 years old and loves seafood...poke is one of his favorites, so we're always looking for a good poke place to try out. You can see the sign from the street, but this establishment is located in a small plaza...so it doesn't look like anything fancy. My friend actually ended up bringing me here for lunch recently because she said it was the best poke she'd ever had, and I can't say that she was wrong. I mean, I've never been to Hawaii and had "authentic" poke, but I know what my taste buds like. First off, the inside was pretty roomy even though some of the seating wasn't available to sit at due to covid. There were two gals at the counter, and they were really personable and extremely patient while we were ordering. They even made some suggestions when we asked what the best protein on their menu was. This place has a pretty good selection of different proteins and toppings to try (over rice/spring mix) like spicy tuna, octopus, salmon, shrimp, edamame, corn, etc. All good flavors, and nothing was fishy or too spicy. They aren't greedy with their portions either. Each helping was super hearty, and the girls even asked if I wanted more of anything. My bowl was piled high...at least 2 inches over the top rim. I ended up not being able to finish my meal, so I packed up the rest to go. I'll definitely be bringing my son with me the next time I visit so he can try this place out as well! read more

They've figured out the vacuum thing since I started coming here. Definitely a place I legitimately crave. Customer service is still a little hit or miss. Some of the people behind the counter are rather happy to see you, some give a bit of the impression they'd rather be somewhere else, which is usually the case. They don't have red snapper anymore, which makes me a little sad but they've added extra things which I've enjoyed trying. Sweet egg is especially good if you like tamago omelette. I still wish their regular salmon had more flavor. It's the only thing I get anymore but it still falls just a little flat. Finally did have their shaved ice... best. thing. ever. So light and fluffy. read more

I dont know too much about Poke. Hell I have really only started eating sushi this year. The place is cool and the location is great, down the street from our favorite Breakfast burrito place, right next door to Pints Defiance. And for a really fancy walk in clinic its right next to fred meyers. You walk up and place your order for what you want and they build as you go. In addition you can order shaved ice. This review reflects my honest opinion on the flavor & freshness of the fish served at Aloha Poke. Was not impressed, at all. Fish is previously frozen & served, obviously. I was left with a weird after taste that lingered in my mouth. They missed the mark of marination quality by a long shot. read more

Coming from Hawai'i, I would say this is more of a "mainland-style" poke bowl rather than traditional Hawaiian poke, but honestly, it was still delicious and very satisfying. The selection of proteins and toppings was great, the portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh. Most importantly, the customer service was excellent. The staff was courteous, welcoming, and attentive, which is exactly what good hospitality should feel like. Overall, we were fed well, treated kindly, and had a great experience.
