Poketiki is a poke place in Costa Mesa. I wouldn't be able to tell you about the service or ambiance as I had ordered through Postmates. I ordered a regular poke bowl with salmon, tuna, corn, crab salad, avocado, seaweed, and ginger over white rice. The sauces I chose were poke sauce and spicy mayo on the side (not pictured). Huge portions of everything. The fish was cut into thick cubes. Salmon was very fresh, soft with melt in the mouth texture, and no sinew. The tuna however was a bit sinewy. Both had no fishy taste. All of the toppings were good. The texture of the rice was inconsistent as some of it was sticky & semi-chewy (similar to sushi rice), and some parts being hard. The spicy mayo was on the creamier side but it was pretty good. Oh, and if you're wondering if there's anything that sets this place apart from poke places. It's not much different. However, the portions are pretty massive. I enjoyed the poke bowl but would probably use another base instead of white rice and would try poke sauce/sesame oil combination as the spicy mayo proved to be a bit much after several bites. read more

Placed an order for $30 worth of poke through Instacart. When I went to pick up, they told me they were not affiliated and could not help me whatsoever. Literally just threw their arms up and told me it's my problem. The food is so delicious here. There is a poke place closer to where I live that's good too, but Poke Tiki is so worth the drive out. The portions are big and the veggies/fish are fresh. I removed a star bc of the customer service. I walked in for an online pickup and walked up to the register (there were no customers in line) I stood there while 1 employee was making an order and the other 2 were walking around. The only acknowledgment I recieved was "are you here for pickup?" I responded with my name and they placed the order on top the shelf where they were standing instead of walking the bag to me... the customer. I found this rude but I still said "thank you" no response from them, just silence as I walked out. They may have singled me out for some reason becuase as I arrived two girls were leaving the store and they made sure to tell them "have a great day!" We tried this place last minute when our other dinner plans fell through because we wanted a lighter and healthier dinner option. You can get spring mix as a base and even cucumbers as a base for an extra charge! The salmon crab salmon is delicious! I loved how much she put in my bowl and next time, I am getting just that as my protein. My hubby liked it too. The tuna was a little tough and wasn't as fresh as I like it. I ordered a regular bowl through Doordash, specifically specify that I want my sauces on the side, but they just dumped all the sauces into the bowl, making it a bowl of sodium soup, barely could tell what I'm eating. Both of my proteins was tofu, yet I could barely find any tofus in my bowl, one would expect more protein when they didn't even order fish and was spending around $15 for my order. The bowl was majority ginger! I appreciate you giving me more ginger but where are the order toppings? There was also barely any base. The sauces are spicy, which is good, but combining this with every other sauce, I can't even understand the taste. I was trying to try new poke places but this is horrible! The fish was really fresh and they had more than enough topping and sauce options. We all got salmon, tuna and spicy tuna with sesame oil and poke sauce. It was simple, but it was really good. Their large is huge! A lot of times we order large bowls from other Poke places and it ends up not being enough. I have two teenagers that eat a ton and their large was enough for them. It wasn't just a ton of rice and very little fish, the large gets you five scoops of fish and it ended up being the perfect amount. AVOID AVOID AVOID - Ordered from here a month or so ago and thought it was pretty good! Went to order again today, and got inedible garbage. 1. You charged me extra for a 300% over-ripened avocado that was severely bruised, and stringy/fibrous throughout. One of your employees cut up that avocado, saw how awful it was, and still decided to serve that in a bowl. It was completely inedible. 2. The salmon was a mixed bag of vomit-inducingly-fishy pieces, pieces with skin still attached, and a handful of edible pieces. Also poorly sliced 3. I love eating poke!! Always getting the 3 proteins with brown rice. My choices are tuna, albacore and octopus. Cost is $12.90 for regular bowl. The seafood taste fresh, I see the workers constantly refilling the proteins. They get a lot of foot traffic during lunch hours because of the school kids. Come early to beat the rush. It's Saturday (11/14/2020) 2:50pm and I just got home from ordering a medium poke bowl...and it's a poke bowl that will end up in the garbage can. As I was placing my order, a customer came in asking for napkins to use to clean a table outside. The Poke Tiki employee that was helping me grabbed a wet rag that looked like it was used before to wipe things down and passed it over the counter. I watched small crumbs of food drop from the wet rag. I'm not sure if it landed in one of the food trays. She continued to prepare my order without changing gloves. I was going to say something but I didn't to see if she would actually have the presence of mind to realize she just messed up by being unsanitary. Then the customer came back in with the dirty rag and returned it to her. Grabbed the rag and then continued to finish my order with the same set of gloves. I THINK I FOUND MY FAVORITE POKE SPOT. Anyways, let's start off with some deets. I've heard so many great things about this from a fellow coworker of mine and let's just say that I put this place off to the side for so long, but I'm glad I finally had a chance to visit this place. I've been wanting to go to their Orange location, but I was in Newport Beach, so my girlfriend and I decided to stop by. I navigated this place through Waze, but that took us to the wrong location. Opened up the Yelp app and found the spot. Parking here is really small, but we got lucky with a spot since we came at an awkward time on a Monday around 2:30pm. As we entered, it was pretty packed, so that was a good sign. We were greeted right away and waited a bit to be served. Once it was our turn, we shared a regular bowl. We went with the brown rice & salad. For our protein, we went with their salmon, bay scallops, and albacore. For our sauce, we got their poke sauce and sesame oil as well. Got most of the toppings as well, except for avocado since they charge an extra $0.75 for that. Also got their volcano #2 and #3 sauces on the side. Checked in on Yelp for a free can of soda with a purchase. One thing we really liked about the bowl were the cucumbers. They were pickled to perfection. Their salmon was AMAZING. It tasted so fresh and delicious. Their scallops were above average and so was the albacore. Their poke sauce was great; not too sweet or salty. Their volcano sauces were SO GOOD. The #3 had a nice kick of spiciness and great flavor as well. The best thing about this place is that they place the fish right on top of your bowl and sauce it up right then and there. I really DISLIKE how most poke places mix everything up with their hands and mush all the fish up (so unappetizing). Their fish and their toppings are really fresh, super top notch. My expectations for this place wasn't as high just because there are so many poke places to choose from these days, but it definitely exceeded it by a long shot. The service is really great as well. They checked up on us and made us feel at home. Now that I know this place is BOMB, i'll have to check out their other locations near me. I hope this place stays open and does well. Happy there's another location! I used to got to the Tustin location in college and remember it very fondly. Ordered the small bowl with white rice, salmon and albacore and bunch of toppings, which I appreciate they have lots of. I wish the employee tossed my fish in the sauces (poke sauce and sesame oil) because I feel like my fish was dry and not the best quality. The employee mainly suggested the spicy mayo and teriyaki-like sauce which I felt were very simple. It was decent portion and somewhat affordable. I'll have to make better combos next time. Service was nice and the place was very clean. The plaza is located right on the corner or Harbor and Adams. It's pretty small so be prepared to merge right away regardless of what direction you're coming from. read more

Tried Poke Tiki for the first time with with my boyfriend tonight and we both thought it was delicious! We both ordered small bowls to go and it was plenty of food. I got tuna and shrimp with the volcano 1 sauce and it was perfect. My boyfriend got the same but with volcano 3 sauce and was definitely humbled. He loves spicy food but mostly likely get the 2 next time since his mouth was on fire. Still tasty though. Service was great. The ladies were very friendly and efficient. This place is one of my favorite places to go for poke! It tastes super delicious and the portions are reasonable! It's located in a small plaza with limited parking spaces which may get overcrowded especially since lots of other restaurants are next door. I think the prices are well worth for what you get. For a regular size poke, it was under $10 which included 3 types of proteins. There's plenty of add on's to choose from with the exception of avocado which is an extra 75 cents. You could always check into Facebook to have avocados for free! I like the sauces they put into the poke bowl. There's not a huge selection to choose from but it's really good! The child size is actually quite a hefty portion. 1 protein,base, crab and 3 toppings for about 8 bucks and some change. It's four stars for me though, because of the shrimp. The shrimp doesn't taste as juicy as other poke places and they cut it really thin... but it's a good thing I got more salmon than shrimp HAHA. But overall, when I am on a time crunch and don't want to drive 20-30 minutes to my favorite poke place, this helps satisfy the delicious poke craving!! Check them out! First time eating here, hubs got the spicy tuna a with tuna, I got spicy tuna only. The seasoning was ok, but on the sweeter side ( even their poke sauce which was supposed to be the closest to ponzu). So if you like more of a citrus tang like I do to your sauces this may not be to your liking. Overall not bad but for the price if $15 the amount of fish was very small and they seem to be adding gochijang ( Korean red chili paste) to make the spicy tuna hot which isn't my favorite. But the worst part was we got mild food poisoning about 2 hours after. Both of us got stomach aches at the same time and soon after it was toilet time. It wasn't severe but definitely not fun. Should have listened to my mom when she says don't eat raw fish in the summer lol. Won't be back due to the taste of the sauces and the stomach stuff but at least we tried it. read more
