Good poke, I feel like it's changed a lot within the last year. Staff has changed a lot too and they all look like they just want to get you out the door lol, which can be good so you can just get your food and go. Parking can be a little iffy depending on what time you go it can be a little squished

One of the better poke spots in the Valley; if I'm not going to my usual poke spot, I'd definitely consider stopping at Poke-Ya. The fish is fresh and tasty and they have a good variety of toppings and sauces. I paid around $22 for a large bowl which came with 4 scoops of my choice of protein. I also chose to have white rice and spring mix, but I did wish the portions of the bases were bigger. I felt like there wasn't a great balance between fish and the bases I chose. The service was okay; not great but not awful either. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I took my meal to go as the dining space inside was pretty small and I wasn't too sure I'd be too comfortable sitting and eating there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Still, it was clean and the food was good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I was craving poke so I stopped by Poke-ya. I ordered a small poke which comes with 2 scoops of protein, I got double salmon. The fish tasted fresh and everything tasted great. I would definitely come back again. The service was friendly and it was straightforward and easy to order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is some seating inside, but I took my order for to go and enjoyed at home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It's good but what is this portion size? This is a medium somehow. They are nice and the food is good but how am I paying $17.50 for "medium" and getting such a small portion of food.

This spot finally got its customer service under control- solid, friendly interactions. And the food here is really good. One of the better poke places in the valley. The fish consistently tastes really fresh and the selection is pretty good. I went with the 4 protein bowl for $19. The bowl was on a bed of white rice, with a bunch of delicious toppings, like jalapeno, tamago, chile edamame, mandarins and cucumbers. For protein, I chose scoops of spicy salmon, albacore, regular salmon and spicy tuna. Since, I love sauces, I put a bunch on top, including citrus ponzu, spicy mayo, chilli oil and more. To finish off my creation, I added some ginger and 3 scoops of crispy onion on top. The result was outstanding and each bite was very special. Definitely one of the best poke spots! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I take mine usually to go, but if you wanna dine in, they do have 2 tables inside and the place is, while small, yet air-conditioned pretty well, thus creating a comfortable environment to just grab a bite right there on the spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely come again!

I can't travel to Hawaii to get my favorite poké but this place sure comes in close as my 2nd favorite place! decently priced for the serving size, super fresh, and not long of a wait. I feel the protein scoop size could be a little more generous, IMO. You can also order online for pickup. Parking lot is super small, but something always opens up. My go to is- medium size, 1/2 white rice 1/2 spring mix, crabmeat, seaweed salad, edamame beans, cilantro, cucumber, green onion, jalapeño, red onion, tuna, salmon, house sauce, sesame oil, spicy sauce, sesame seed, furikake, and crispy onion. Alternatively, i leave out the red onion and add mandarin Oranges and spicy mayo

Fish was really fresh, service was great. I came in around 3:00 PM. Young lady helping me was really nice. She was very informative, i had asked for edamame as my base and she instantly knew I wanted it as an add-on and corrected me in a very polite and professional manner. The food itself was very tasty. Everything tasted like they were prepared that morning. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was small, had around 15 seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I'm always on a quest for a no frills poke bowl that focuses on the fish and not just filler. There are tons of ways to customize these bowls and you can double up on the extras you want and lose all of the random filler most places use. Salmon (spicy and regular) tasted very fresh. The portions are huge though! Next time I'll get a much smaller portion and just add the extra portion of fish that I want!

This was my first time eating here (ordered take out) and I was pleasantly surprised. I had the medium bowl half white rice, half spring mix, with salmon, shrimp, and tuna. You can see everything that was added in the screenshot of my order. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and flavorful. My only critique is the portion balance--there was a bit too much spring mix and seaweed salad, which left less room for the protein. I would have preferred a more generous portion of salmon, shrimp, and tuna. The amount of protein didn't seem like it would be enough even for a small bowl.

The decor is standard for a SoCal taco place, despite how far it is from the actual beach. The food itself is excellent. I had the two chicken tacos (standard and jerk sauce) as well as a gourmet beef taco. My favorite was the jerk sauce taco as it had a great assortment of toppings, with a good balance of sweet and savory. I had the other chicken taco spicy, and it was surprisingly potent.

I haven't been there since they changed owners and decided to give it a try. Apparently, the chef and the waitresses are the same so I was thinking the food would be the same as before. This time when I went, I ordered the chicken taco and shrimp taco. The chicken taco was cold and contained small pieces of dark meat thrown into a taco. Usually tacos use shredded or stewed chicken so this was not the norm for me. The minute I bit into it, I could taste the chicken was old and gamey. I bit into a large piece of grissle from the bone and almost threw up. I took one bite of the shrimp taco and could not identify the flavor. It definitely wasn't cilantro, but some other kind of herb I didn't recognize. I ended up throwing it away. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately, I will never go back. I'm sorry, but I cannot recommend this place

We lucked out and got the last booth before the dinner rush. The place looked exactly like it did last time we came. Staff was still friendly. They don't accept cash, only cards/tap to pay. Their menu looked different. Wish I had taken a photo. You have an option to build your own boil by choosing your protein, sauce, spice level and add in's. They still don't allow you to mix garlic butter and lemon pepper sauces. You're forced to get the Kickin mix which includes Cajun even if you're not a fan of that flavor. They also have a kids menu with 2 choices, appetizers and family combos. Always intimidating ordering from a menu that doesn't disclose the pricing up front. That's the weirdest thing. Even restaurants in Beverly Hills have pricing on their menus. We got the family feast which feeds up to 4 people and had a combo of crab, mussels, shrimp, sausage, rice, potato and corn which was about $107. (Side note, they charge 50 cents for a pair of gloves and they do not provide you with a little towelette to wipe before or after your meal) This I have to admit was a pretty good deal considering it's a good amount of seafood. They serve it to you in a large metal bowl. We asked for mild since we had toddlers, but because of the Cajun in the sauce (that they force you to get if you want garlic butter and lemon pepper flavor) it was more of a medium, and the kids could not tolerate the heat. Which wasn't a bad thing since that meant more for us grown ups. Ordered them a side of truffle fries which was not too bad actually. We also ordered some of their specialty drinks which come in huge cups. We tried asking for two small empty cups so the kids could share our drinks, but they refused to provide that to us. According to the waiter, it's the restaurant policy that they can only provide water cups, but we have to figure out what to do with the water inside. (Insert face palm emoji) Also they do not provide buckets for your shells so we weren't sure what to do with all that water but drink it. The cups are thin paper cups to pair perfectly with those gross paper straws. By the time we finished the water the cups were pretty mushy already. Needless to say we couldn't finish all our food so we asked for it to go, reluctantly as we hoped they weren't going to try and charge us for those to go bags as well. Pro's: they brought the food out quickly. The food tasted freshly cooked. Con's: don't know where to begin. Parking lot sucks since it's shared with multiple other businesses. There is no place for you to sit and wait outside the restaurant. You'll need to stand outside by the parking lot and pray you don't get side swiped by some crazy driver. Menu has hidden pricing. They charge 50 cents for gloves and do not provide wipes for after your meal. They don't provide a bucket/container to place your seafood shells so it gets mixed in with your other food on the table. Can't even ask for an empty cup for kids. They don't let you customize your sauces your way. Sad to say after all this time my review for this place is still a solid 2 stars.

The pastry was golden and crispy, with a gentle firmness at the base to bed the Beef. The Beef Wellington was perfect!! It was tender, cut through like butter and was perfectly seasoned, which awakened your palate. I don't know why I ordered medium. I should have ordered medium rare. Note to self. The pommes puree was firm yet smooth. I couldn't get enough of it. I think I licked my fork I was driving so one glass of Cabernet would do. I ended this spectacular meal with a slice of cheesecake. As you can see by my empty plates, I enjoyed my dinner. I noticed several couples on a date, and friends who fought over the check. If you're looking for a new restaurant to visit.
