I was really surprised that the poke bowl from Pokestuf was really fresh and delicious. It definitely satisfied my craving whenever I miss Hawaiian poke bowls. Pokestuf is also conveniently located in downtown alhambra so it's a perfect place for people to stop by to grab a quick healthy lunch to go. I also liked how they had options for Brown Rice and mix of 3 types of fish (salmon,tuna, and albacore). For the sauces, I decided to mix the sriracha mayo,lemongrass ponzu, and sesame shoyu together and they blended really well. As far as the toppings go, I really loved how they gave you slices of avocadoes and imitation crab meats. Honestly, you really cant go wrong with adding all the topping together. I also ordered a piece of spam musubi and it was really good :) They also gave a very generous portion for the regular size so i don't recommend large unless you are VERY very hungry. My boyfriend and I were craving a bowl of poke and came across this location after a quick search on Yelp. My boyfriend and I got the regular-sized bowl. We also got white rice, salmon, cucumbers, cilantro, edamame, seaweed salad, and avocado. The workers recommended that I get the miso habanero for my sauce. I also got spam musubi. This bowl surely satisfied my poke craving. However, it lacked flavor. I wish that there was more sauce because I barely tasted any. The sweet and spicy tang was hardly even there. For a dollar extra of a scoop of avocado and seaweed salad, the portion was disappointing. I thought that the salmon cubes were pretty okay, but I wish there were more. The rice, edamame, and cucumbers were the redeeming factors in my bowl. The spam musubi was delicious. The sauce and rice were great! I wish the spam were a bit more crispy, though. The range of fish is limited, but I only like salmon anyway, so it doesn't bother me. There's plenty of topping and sauce options. First time at this poke spot and I was pleased! The portions are pretty big and they have a decent amount of sauce and topping selections, although limited protein options. We got two large plates - one with all soba noodles as a base w/ tuna + salmon (lemongrass yuzu), all the toppings, and seaweed salad. I got the large (14.90) which was more than filling. (3 protein + 3 choices of sauce). The only thing criticism I have is that they don't give as much fish compared to other poke establishments. * The combination that keeps me coming back for more is definitely the soba noodles and lemon ponzu sauce. It's a strong tangy flavor that fits eloquently with the soba noodles. The salmon is good, and their toppings are generous. You're allowed one free premium topping, so I opted for imitation crab. The sesame and fried onions really complete the flavor in the entree. * They have a lot of different sauces to choose from: Thai chili lime, miso honey, and spicy samba, just to name a couple. Other places usually give smaller serving size and I felt like its not worth the money I paid for. Here, they give you big pieces of fish and lots of toppings for free! I stopped by yesterday and they are now serving sushi rolls. I've not tried their sushi rolls yet, but I took a photo for those who are interested to try. Street parking only but I usually find a spot to park either in the front of the store or on the side. My go to is a small bowl, white rice, a mix of ahi, salmon, and albacore with sriracha mayo sauce. With all the toppings of course. I really like their garlic coleslaw here. I'm glad avocado is free because other places would have charged for it. My mom doesn't eat raw fish so I always order garlic shrimps for her. I tried going last week when it was closed and ended up going to another mediocre poke place maybe 2 miles from this place, which was well reviewed but nothing compared to Pokestuf!
