I get that it's busy but there are 7 people working and one person can take a two minute break to ensure equal access. I had the spicy tuna and salmon and got it "torched" for the novelty but regretted it. For toppings I got pretty much every veggie plus pineapple. Everything was fine except the crab salad which I really didn't like. I got sauce on the side and the containers were generously filled (I hate when you get sauce on the side and they give you a dribble). With that said they were both meh. They reached out to me immediately after my less-than-stellar review and offered me a voucher for a poke bowl to see what they're normally like. I went back today and wow! Came here for lunch in the middle of the workday, Olivia was amazingly sweet and the rest of the staff were great. The customers here were insanely rude here, there were a lot of online orders and people were being extremely impatient and complaining while and all the staff stayed so cool calm and collected. Lunch hour in this area of NYC is insanely hectic, and sometimes it can take a while to get your food if you don't time it right especially at a spot that doesn't have a separate kitchen for online orders like sweetgreen or cava, but these customers were next level and honestly embarrassingly aggressive and rude. I still don't understand how the general public can treat people in service roles like that and go about their day as though they are a normal person. So yeah I'm mainly writing this review because I really want to commend the staff (especially Olivia) for being so chill and sweet even with entitles business people getting in their faces. On top of this, there were times when their "Ipad shutdown", didnt receive my order from seamless/grubhub and they couldn't get any orders out. C'mon Pokeworks, Get it together. Food: The kale noodle base and the ability to add a myriad of toppings (basically as many as your heart desired) was one of the pros of ordering off seamless at this Poke joint. I always get their 2 salmon 1 tuna scoop large Umami Classic bowl and add in additional free toppings such as seaweed salad, edamame, masago, kani salad, jalapeno peppers, nori, lotus crisp, and garlic crisp. I also ask for spicy furikake for a serious kick. I love their free toppings! The umami shoyu sauce isn't as savory as the other poke joint I frequent down on 36th, but it's a different take, and one that is balanced very well with Pokeworks consistenly amazing ingredient quality. I've never had anything less than stupid fresh from this place on 41st st.! Interior is a bit small, but they do offer attractive dining areas for those who like to stay.
