Came here twice because of MealPal. I've only had it when there was salmon and/or tuna in the poke bowl. I've gotten the: - Sunset house (didn't like the ahi tuna in this) - Original salmon (I like it!!) Salmon is definitely my go-to protein. I stay away from the ahi tuna here. It tastes rubbery/not well-cut. This is definitely not the normal way to make poke, but it's very nutritious because of all the carbs, proteins, and veggies. It's not meant to be a traditional poke spot, but rather a great healthy fast casual dining option in the area. Service is fine. No complaints. They are fairly quick. Price-wise -- definitely on the higher end, but that's also because portion-wise, the portions are somewhat bigger than other poke spots. Realistically, though, do you really need this much poke in one sitting? Probably not, so leftovers. read more

Since my beloved Pokeworks closed... I didn't plan on finding a replacement. But wow... accidental find for sure. Literally a block from Macy's in the heart of Herald Square, next door to Urban Outfitters. Poke Bar offers up some yummy delicious poke bowl. I've only done mobile order, and the few times, pick up has been quite easy and on time. No issues. The price is decent - since comparing to other lunch spots, $20-$25. I usually add like 10% or $2 tip bc the staff works hard to prep your meal. The store is clean, well kept, and the staff works efficiently to make you're in & out in less than 10 mins. My goto is a medium bowl, with 2 proteins, I get spicy tuna, and shrimp. Adding delish fixings like seaweed salad, edamame, cilantro, corn, sweet onion, cucumber, crispy garlic and fried onions. (Note: skip the fried onions and garlic if you have afternoon meetings! lol). The rice is a lot, I usually only need half. I've been here a few times now and always enjoyed my poke bowl! read more

Ordered for Lunch via DoorDash and was very satisfied. What I really appreciated was that the rice arrived in a separate container so I could warm it up by itself which a lot of places do don't. Plus, not many places offer scallops as an option which is also very nice read more

Came here on a Friday night, and it didn't disappoint. Grabbed a large poke Bowl, includes four proteins and two sides for $20.50. This was shareable between me and my older kid, and with the choice of four proteins definitely kept us full! Our large bowl included a mix of brown rice and mixed greens, for proteins, and a smattering of sides and toppings. We took aerobics class afterwards, and it definitely kept us full without making us feel too full or bloated. There was Seating in the front (also in the back, too), so we pulled up some bar stools and decided to people watch while we were munching on our poke bowl. Also grabbed soft drinks in the fridge, which was perfect and convenient for the heat wave we've been experiencing in nyc. Great location, Friendly and quick service period We didn't get to finish our miso soup, which came with our poke Bowl, and they were kind enough to put Saran wrap around it so it didn't leak in our bag. If you're looking for a poke bowl, look no further. I got the small 2 protein bowl. It was a decent sized bowl. It is very similar to an assembly line the way they serve you at a salad store like Sweetgreen. You can either opt from the menu or choose your own. I got the scallop and salmon. You can choose 2 sides -- seaweed and imitation crab meat. I got brown rice for the base and almost all the vegetables. They were also very lenient on the sauce you wanted. They mix it for you then put the toppings on top. They dumped the tray that was used for mixing the vegetables and sauce but I personally feel they could just use a bigger bowl or a reusable bowl which would be better for the environment. The proteins were fresh and the vegetables were relatively fresh as well. I would come back again for a poke bowl. read more

It took me a while to find a go-to poke spot, but Poke Bar has been the best experience I've had so far. Generous amounts of fish and so easy to customize. The delivery is also super fast!
