Very happy with our visit today!!! Our first time here and the food was great, the place was clean and the service was friendly. I ordered the large which is 4 scoops of protein (salmon, hamachi, tuna, spicy tuna, tofu, etc.) and all my fixings and it was plenty! Had to take home the generous serving. The lady helping me recommended the poki poke special sauce and it was perfect. It was spicy and sweet and plenty of umami. Loved it. Yay!! I love when more poke places open up in Fremont. To start off, I heard bad things from my friends about this place when they first opened. One of my friends got sick twice and another just didn't like the flavors. However.. I'm glad I gave it a shot anyways! The decorations in here are adorable.. really help the atmosphere. The food is good! Most poke places in California are chipotle style so essentially the key factor are the toppings they offer. The toppings they have here are great! Everything's pretty basic.. seaweed salad, jalapeños, onions, etc.. but I love the fried garlic and onions! So good! Portions? Hey I thought it was pretty decent. I got the regular $10 Bowl and had a LOT of fish in my opinion. I wish then put more salad though because it all shrunk after the sauce got on it. The flavors.... I think they can definitely improve on this. They have the typical sauces like ponzu and spicy mayo but for some reason, there's not much flavor in these? It lacks something and I don't know what. This place was yummy and had a good portion size! The customer service is also really good. We were complicated with our order and the server never gave us a hard time. We paid $10 for the poki bowl, which is cheaper than the other places we've gone to by $1. And, they don't run out of SALMON!!!! Total plus here. The other place always runs out of salmon. Plus, you get seaweed salad included in your meal instead of the crab meat. You can pay more for crab meat, but I prefer seaweed salad. Other places, you get crab meat included and need to pay extra for seaweed salad. There are also great sauces. Mango ayoli is good! I also got a few other sauces on the side so I could mix the sauces. Ambiance wise. It feels a little sketchy when you look at the outside because of the area, but inside, it was quiet and not overly busy, which was nice because we didn't have to fight for seats or yell to hear each other. Went to Poki Poke because read it was open Friday 7/15/16 I got food to go for my dinner. It wasn't too busy but it was only 4:30pm or so. Still in soft opening they gave me a FREE scoop of crab salad and FREE scoop of avocado. They were small scoops but I liked them giving it away FREE. Also got FREE bottle of Water near the register in the drink case. Regular is HUGE! Think you can get 3 poke and all the toppings you want and it's only $10! Charged it. They did a great job! I love Poke but this was my first time getting a poke bowl. I had dressings and sauces on the side and was very particular about my order. They got it all right. The flavor was delicious. I love unagi sauce and the mango aoili was really interested (in a good way). Highly recommend. I got a large bowl with salad base and ate the whole thing. I have to say this is me and my boyfriends favorite poke spot! They are the most friendliest staff, clean environment and they are in a huge plaza so there is always parking! The regular w/ 3 scoops of protein is $9.99 & the large w/ 4 scoops of protein is $10.99! We love this place because they always accommodate to what we ask for, even if it is a strange request! Another Poke stop at yet another Poke eatery. The place is very clean, great air conditioning on this hot day. Staff were very nice and all had a smile. The fish was nice and cold and fresh and it's the same setup as all the others. Pick your rice, greens, fish, sauces and toppings and you are good to go. Compared to other Poke stops I felt the serving of fish was a little more generous than some of the tiny scoops you get other places. Not by a lot but just enough to make a large 4 scoop bowl very filling WITHOUT the rice. Pretty awesome! The bowls are LOADED with alllll the good stuff! They aren't stingy with the add-ons and everything always tastes so fresh. I've even gotten my bowls delivered using the dreaded door dash app and they do not skimp on anything. Your beverage comes wrapped in plastic so that not to spill and they make sure to have your bowl ready and delivered within 30 mins so it arrives fresh (unless door dash is being it's usually self and running late) your food arrives still cold and ready to enjoy. read more

The service is always nice and quick, and the prices are reasonable. 3 small scoops of sashimi over rice or greens, topped with whatever you'd like for $9.99 is not a bad deal! Poki Poke is close to where I work and super convenient to grab for lunch (or dinner)! A regular bowl is for $9.99 (3 scoops of protein) and a large bowl is for $11.99 (4 scoops of protein). They are pretty generous with their portions as well so I stick with the regular most of the time, and would still be left over with another 'mini-meal' at the end of it! With all of the Poke spots in the area, Poki Poke is a great option. The fish tastes fresh and their sauces are delicious (try the cilantro aioli; it won't disappoint!). I also appreciate all of the toppings they provide even though my choices are pretty standard, my boyfriend likes to top his off with the edamame and corn, wonton strips, & basically everything else. As for the experience, it may be a bit difficult to order but like most other Poke spots, it's a chipotle style ordering. The staff is really friendly and will guide you too so if you haven't given this place (or poke, period) a chance yet, definitely check it out! PSA: The rice here is warm and seasoned with rice vinegar, as sushi rice should be. I never liked poke before having Poki Poke and now it's probably my favorite food. Every time I come here, my experience is always efficient and good! The workers are always friendly and give large portions which is a big part of why this is my favorite place. Given the price point, the amount of food you get is way more in comparison to other poke places. I would personally recommend the salmon! It always looks so fresh whenever I come in. At one point, I was getting this place at least once a week whenever I wanted to eat something healthy because I was always craving it and it kept me full. Decided to try this place out and I was pretty pleased. I like that there's plenty of options for each section (base, protein, toppings, etc.). Their fish are also cut into medium-sized pieces, which is great because I don't like that some poke places have such small pieces. Another great thing about this place is that they're generous with their portions! You get a good amount of food for the price, and this definitely beats out Pokieatery in San Mateo. Customer service is great, other places usually get annoyed when I make changes to my order, but here they are happy to help adjust my order to my liking, which is really nice! Poke restaurants are saturating the market nowadays. In order to stay competitive, prices, quality of fish, and topping selections are necessary to stay in the game. I'm not surprised there's an extra charge for avocado, but having to pay an extra dollar for crab salad, which is a standard for all poke bowls? That's a little much, IMO. The price for a 3 scoop is $9.99 and an additional scoop will bump the price up to $11.99. I love avocado and imitation crab so that'll bump the cheapest bowl to $11.99. Not worth it. I ordered my bowl with the poke special sauce and spicy mayo. The sauce wasn't generous enough so my bowl was difficult to mix. My biggest issue was the saltiness of my bowl; I kept blinking hard because it was so salty. Non-traditional toppings also contribute to its rating. There are few topping selections and it's not the common stuff you usually get. They offer corn, lots of dry stuff like fried garlic and fried onions. I think the only normal topping there was cucumber and edamame. I'm kinda disappointed. Plus the fish doesn't taste fresh when you bite into it. That's the most important component to a successful poke bowl; the fish. Definitely not sushi grade. My bowl seems to be lacking the regular stuff. There isn't any seaweed or anything. I only have a little bit of furikake. It's not my first choice for poke but it's proximity to my location is good so this will suffice in the meantime. Update: Not too long after eating this bowl, I've been on the toilet. I've gone 3 terribly painful times since eating it 4 hours ago (1:30pm). I'm not sure if the extreme heat (106 degrees when I walked in) contributed to this. I'm not feeling good. This is the only meal I've had today. My stomach continued bubbling as the evening went on. This is my 2nd Time coming here. My first visit was great. I let the guy working there that it was first time there. He was kind enough to walk me through. It was a great, the food was fresh, there's a nice variety of toppings both included and for an additional cost. The cost was not bad either compared to other poke places. This visit was the total opposite. The girl welcomed me without a smile like I had interrupted her lunch hour. I could barely hear her so I had to ask her to say things again, which I think she was more annoyed at. When I finished signing my payment she just rotated the machine and walked away. No thank you or have a nice day. So so gave it a three stars since my first visit was great. It would've been a two. There are so many Poki places in the Fremont area, but it's nice to have this unique Poke place in this part of town. There is a generic pattern now at these Poke restaurant, but I like how this place is part of the FiveStars Reward program. Their prices do seem to be cheaper too than your other Poke places; whereas their Regular bowl of 3 scoops of protein is $9.99, and their Large bowl of 4 scoops of protein is $11.99. Most other Poke places are about a $1 more, but the big difference is that all other places will offer you the crab salad for free. At "Poki Poke", if you want crab salad, that is a $1 extra, as it's listed next to the avocado as an extra additional charged item. That doesn't bother me if you want to save the extra $1 on your meal. Although one of the bonus rewards from the FiveStars Program is a free crab salad add-on. Whenever I'm in the northern part of Fremont for work, I will stop by "Poki Poke" for lunch. read more

Solid poke place located in Fremont on the northern side of Fremont Blvd, next to ranch 99. I had the pleasure of visiting this place many times, as it's my go-to poke place in the area, and the one I like the most in a decent proximity to me. I often come here and get a large as I'm starving, but from my last visit few visits, I feel like I should consider regulars from now on. In my last few visits, as a big eater, I top my bowl with way too much food, but I honestly expect workers to skimp on portions a little more than Poki Poke's workers do. This is in NO WAY a con for me. I'm blessed to have such wonderful and generous service!! But it's a little too much for me when I like to have almost everything on my bowl, with a little extra too. This just helped me realized I can settle for a regular here, while I still see myself getting a large at other places. Onto the toppings, they have a large variety, from edamame to spicy crab salad to fried wonton crisps. A large selection becomes overwhelming when you like everything, but I try to settle for my favorites. Their house special sauce is great for the poke and I never had a problem with their salmon- which is what I primarily order. Only con is avocado and crab salad cost an extra dollar, but that is fair. Regular bowl(3 scoops) is 9.99 and large(4 Scoops) is 11.99. I never really had a bad experience besides having way too much food, if that counts as a bad experience. However, that is not really on Poki Poke, it's more on me. Poke bowl=da bomb! The smell when you walk right in=stink bomb. OK maybe not that bad but it does smell like cleaning solutions possibly used to mop their floors. Aside from that they have delicious, packed with flavors and topping poke bowls. They are generous with their toppings and sauces. They do charge extra for avocado and crab salad but totally worth the extra buck. They only have two sizes, small and large which is a difference between a 3 scoop and 4 scoop of protein. They have the usual protein choices: salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, tako (octopus), tofu. Everything is fresh! My go to sauce to mix with the poke is the house poke sauce and Ponzu. It's been almost half a year since I've visited here for lunch. I was really excited when I walked in because I had previously written a positive review for this location. Service was pretty decent as per usual, and the guy who serviced me gave me really nice, hefty and generous portions. My bowl didn't taste as fresh as last time, but I didn't taste anything wrong with my bowl especially with all those yummy sauces. I think maybe they started to slack on their hygiene, because when I was eating on location, there were a couple of fruit flies which were buzzing around me which kind of grossed me out. When I finished my bowl, I went over to the trash can to toss out the empty bowl/fork/napkin and there were even more fruit flies around the trash can. ...and then came the food poisoning....... I love poke/sushi and don't consider myself to have a weak stomach by any means. But after returning to work (I came during lunch break,) I was practically glued to the porcelain throne. It's 11pm now and I am currently back on the throne whilst writing this review. T___T SOMeONE hELp mE. Yum! I love how veggie heavy they go and their house poke sauce is so good and spicy(could be spicier but that's just me, hehe)! It's also super clean and open inside - just wish it wasn't so dark inside. I knocked off a star because the two times I've gone in there was no one manning the front; I kind of stood there awkwardly for a good min or two till someone came out but that was because they were coming to refill the top counter. They have a good amount of toppings to choose from. I usually get them all. Seaweed salad is FREE but they do charge extra for crab salad and avocado.
