Great service and amazing tasting poke! Would come back! The servers were extremely attentive and personable

So we came here twice in 3 days so it's obviously good. This place has a niche in the poke world using the whole spicy Cheeto thing. There are plenty of poke places here in Glendale but this one is the only one I've seen that uses the flaming hot Cheetos. Menus is basic. Salad, burrito or taco. We tried them all. Burrito was my fave. $13 gets you 2 scoops of protein in a seaweed wrap with rice and toppings. I went with 2 scoops of spicy tuna. Tuna was fresh and spiced just right. I felt the choice of toppings was good, not great. One of the reasons it only got 4 stars. It's a buck extra for avocado who sh is mushed you like guacamole. You're already paying 13 so come on just throw it in there. The salad was stay too. Spring mix alone or mixed with rice and same price for 2 scoops and they call an extra scoop a large... which makes no sense since it's the same size. Same choice of decent toppings. First time we went they seemed flustered with a bunch of online orders and a couple people inside. Even heard this one guy who was a heavier dude maybe Armenian or Latino say "ohhh f&$k" under his mask. They didn't really oust much love into the salad or marinate the protein but hey I get it. Tacos are good. 1 scoop of protein with the same toppings. 4 stars cause both times they didn't have the jicama taco shell and just used seaweed. Again, pretty good for the places around here and it's the knot place that still does the sushi burritos that were popular 5 years ago. read more

This review is primarily for the staff, as the food was just ok. They were SO sweet, funny, and attentive. If they were serving something better, it'd be the perfect combo! I had OTMC for tacos, and a burrito, so I did that and my friend did a regular bowl. I was hungry so the little ya is didn't stand a chance. They weren't that memorable though. Burrito either. The ingredients sounded good, but nothing was truly outstanding or remarkable. I have places where I enjoy pokè but sadly this one isn't one of them. I've also never seen hot Cheetos dust for a toppings option anywhere but I know burrito Bomba likes to use it as well. Maybe it's a geographical favorite. Staff great, food ok. The kind where you know you ate and are satiated. Wish I had better to say. Oh and we sat outside in the tables at the lot and ate and dude from next door was mad I guess, since no one was in his business, so he had to get in ours. Said the seats were only for patrons of munchies. But no one wanted his so he had to rain on everyone else's parade. Lame. read more

So I stopped here yesterday for lunch, I was wondering where they moved to since I'm used to going to their original location on Colorado. When I walked in, it was quiet, there was just one guy working, who was nice but nervous, you can tell he was new. I ordered my usual burrito- I asked for the brown rice and he said it back to me, a few moments later, he starts to pile on the white rice on the nori. I said to him, that's white rice, I had asked for brown rice, he said did you? Oh sorry and then he threw that away to start the correct one with the brown rice...this is where it all starts going downhill. He also put on soo much rice which I don't think is normal, I've watched other people here do it before and he was a bit sloppy, some parts were uneven, or didn't have rice at all. Sigh. The fish portions have clearly been reduced- the scoops were tiny! I mean for $15 at least be a little more generous, I know we are all feeling the inflation but that money has gotta have some value. After a while I stopped watching him, probably because I was making him nervous, but there was no music playing and nothing else going on so what else was I supposed to do? After paying for my food (I asked for a cup of water and apparently that's broken too), I walked outside to one of the tables to eat my food- I opened my burrito (it's cut in half) to find 2 curly black hairs embedded inside my burrito! Eewww I literally stood up immediately, so grossed out, I didn't even have time to take a photo of it because I was repulsed. I ran into the store again and showed it to him- there was not just one but 2 hairs...he apologized and asked if he wanted me to throw it away..um yeah, who's going to want to eat that? That's disgusting. I told him I wanted a refund, I don't want a replacement, I was sickened after that and didn't want another awkward and potentially gross experience again. After asking his manager on the phone (since he's new and doesn't know how to do a refund, which is fine and he was the only one there- which also was a problem), he was able to get me a refund (will need to check my accounts on Monday to make sure that went through because who knows). I'm so disappointed, I used to come to this store a lot, but now I am having deep regrets and hesitation of returning after this incident. Perhaps your staff should wear hair nets if they have longer hair (which he did), hygiene is super important when it comes to food! read more

5-stars for food, as it is always fresh and delicious.   4-stars for service, as they always seem to have these young guys working that seem to always be in some kind of mood and take their sweet time.   For instance, we ordered for pick up and got there around the time it should be ready, upon entering, my boyfriend let the guy know that he was in for our order. The guy let him know he was finishing up the last bowl (we only ordered two,) someone else walked in to the restaurant, and the guy stopped working on our "last bowl" to help the guy that had just walked in... 40 mins was the suggested pick up time and this guy still makes us wait for someone that had JUST walked in. Once we got home the bowls were so sloppily made and didn't have the sauce that was requested in one of them. Honestly, in terms of service, it should be less than 4-stars... but sometimes the manager or owner takes care of us and it is GREAT.   We usually get a bowl each and a burrito to share, which are always very good. The only thing we didn't like so much was the Poke Taco, that was way over- sauced, you couldn't taste anything. read more

I love love love pokitomik! I go to their Northridge location very often for lunch and am so stoked that they opened up their new spot in Glendale! I always get a bowl with mixed greens and sweet salmon. The sweet salmon is seriously so delicious and fresh!! The bowl is pretty big so you're really getting a bang for your buck. I love their seaweed salad and their mango yuzu dressing too! The ambience of the place is also very nice! The two guys working today were very helpful and nice as well! First time ordering a sushirrito (sushi burrito) and the exterior coating came loaded with flaming hot Cheetos. It's a fun meal but not one you would get for an authentic sushi experience. The burrito was also difficult to handle as the hot rice made the seaweed wrap soggy and the whole thing just kind of fell apart by the third or fourth bite. However the restaurant offers good quality raw fish and it was a good size for a one person meal/two person snack. We completed our meal with a fish taco and this was probably the best part. The taco shell was super crunchy and had lots of air bubbles within its shell that texturized this yummy creation. read more

TLDR; A very modern & Americanized poke place that serves poke burritos and poke nachos as well. The guy who runs this place is super friendly, and is the reason I'd go back. As someone who enjoys poke in its more naked form, I opted away from the "fancy" toppings such as the hot cheetos crumbles. I was recommended the burrito, so that's what I ordered. I love how they make the burritos with a thin layer of rice. Trying to eat sushi and getting more rice than fish is like opening an avocado and realizing that the seed takes up 9/10 of the space. The portion size of the burrito was absolutely perfect. Not too full, but fully satisfied. I literally 12 miles right after eating this, because it was so fueling. LA has a plethora of poke places. You can literally find one in every block. I've seen some of them prosper while some unfortunate ones, closed down. Competition is really tough so businesses really have to step up their game to stay in business. I found this place in a small strip mall along Colorado in Glendale. Limited free parking shared with other businesses. Colorful art in the walls including restroom which is available on site. While I had poke bowls and poke burritos in the past, I didn't know you can have poke nachos which what I got here. I got the spicy tuna and salmon on a bed of tortillas plus some add ons. Nacho poke was not just colorful but it was surprisingly good. Loved the different colors and freshness of the ingredients but most of all, I loved every crunch on every bite as I worked on my plate. The guys working here, Austin and Arthur, were great. Friendly and very accommodating. read more

Not bad for a poke joint. Not mindblowing either. Suffices if you want something for a light meal! Had to knock down to three stars because they overcharged us but if they hadn't, this would be a standard four star place. The store is pretty small, and right now it's take out only. You can get the regular which is 3 scoops or the large (?) which is 4 scoops of protein. The portion size for toppings is really great for this place. They heap on the toppings. The seaweed is really good! The mango was clearly frozen at some point. I would definitely recommend the furikake. The fish portions and freshness is okay. My friend and I both got the regular with three scoops each, but for some reason they charged us for one regular and one large...? The sauces are okay as well, adds some flavor but also not anything to call home for. read more

You may have heard of Cardi B's song "WAP," but let me introduce you to this Wet A$$ Poke bowl that I attempted to eat 20 minutes ago. I'll give the first person to even remotely guess what is in my poke bowl 5 imaginary dollars. Why did they put sooo much sauce?? Don't me wrong--I like a decent amount of spicy mayo on my poke but this was borderline disgusting. If you can't tell, they straight up drowned my seaweed salad and the imitation crab in spicy mayo. Those are usually left alone. And my god, don't even get me started on the SOUND. Macaroni in the pot x100000. I'm giving two stars because I've been here before where I ordered at the counter (instead of delivery like I did today) and watched them make it and have enjoyed their bowls before. I love this place! First off, their food is delicious. I have been here a few times now, the first time I ran into the owner and he was very kind and friendly; but that is not why I chose to write this review. Yesterday was my birthday and we came here to pick up dinner around 7pm. When we arrived one of the staff was washing dishes, so he did not hear us come in, but that's ok. We were not waiting long, but I said "hello.." and they so kindly apologized for the wait, which was truly nothing, but he handled it so well! We ordered four burritos all different fixings. They were efficient and patient, they kept track of each order and let my daughter try one of the proteins. They labeled each order and wished me a happy birthday and even wrote "bday wooo" on my order. Our food was delightful, just what I wanted! The kids loved it, which is rare! And I just wanted to give a big thanks to the wonderful staff that made such an intimate evening with my family just a little more great by their warm hospitality and service! This is something the owner and staff should be very proud of and I wish more places had this vibe! I should also mention, they frequently send coupons/ discounts and last night I got a FREE Macaron with Green Tea ice cream inside with my Birthday coupon, which is just so yummy! read more
