I love this place! First off, their food is delicious. I have been here a few times now, the first time I ran into the owner and he was very kind and friendly; but that is not why I chose to write this review. Yesterday was my birthday and we came here to pick up dinner around 7pm. When we arrived one of the staff was washing dishes, so he did not hear us come in, but that's ok. We were not waiting long, but I said "hello.." and they so kindly apologized for the wait, which was truly nothing, but he handled it so well! We ordered four burritos all different fixings. They were efficient and patient, they kept track of each order and let my daughter try one of the proteins. They labeled each order and wished me a happy birthday and even wrote "bday wooo" on my order. Our food was delightful, just what I wanted! The kids loved it, which is rare! And I just wanted to give a big thanks to the wonderful staff that made such an intimate evening with my family just a little more great by their warm hospitality and service! This is something the owner and staff should be very proud of and I wish more places had this vibe! I should also mention, they frequently send coupons/ discounts and last night I got a FREE Macaron with Green Tea ice cream inside with my Birthday coupon, which is just so yummy! read more

I had marked this place to try for a while now, and though I enjoyed eating the food, I was very disappointed in the business overall. I understand raw fish will smell a little bit fishy (though it shouldn't) but we walked in to order and the smell disgusted me off the get go. The counter where the food was prepped was clean, but there were crumbs all around the different ingredients and frankly the ingredients didn't even look good and fresh. Their portions were pretty big, as the bowl starts with 3 scoop option. I will say I was impressed at the capability of the employees to actually roll up the burritos. I was really excited to try this place since the ratings were so high. The owner seemed super nice and gave me more sauce when I asked for it. I came in on a Sunday after 5PM and there were a couple other customers already there, even during COVID. The parking lot was kind of small but I got lucky and someone was leaving when I got there. The do not have patio seating during COVID. I ordered the bowl when I got there and took it home to eat. The got the salmon and tuna but for some reason the tuna didn't taste too good. It was as if the fish had already gone a little bad. Super fishy. It wasn't just one bite either. Anytime I got a bite of the tuna it was taste bad so I had to throw the entire dish away. I was pretty excited to try PokiTomik today. Been seeing it recommended all over media and by friends, but the hype died when I went in today. What I ordered was supposed to be a Large (4scoop protein), but the server only did 3. I asked him again if he could please just make it a large and add another protein which he just replied "Kay, what else you want". He did not add another protein as I asked MULTIPLE TIMES. As he went on, he kept getting my whole order wrong. Did not put the correct toppings or sauce, did not put the items in I asked, and by the time I went to the cashier to pay and told him my order was wrong, nothing was done. The server just tossed everything in on top of each other so it looks like this. Maybe the server just had a long day and they were an hour from closing so supplies were low. As much as I dislike writing reviews, let alone negative reviews, I feel like I need to write one because this is a food safety and health code issue involving raw fish and it doesn't seem like I'm the only one (almost all the one star reviews had the same issues I'm about to list.) This place overall has stuff that looks pretty good and promising. I went with (3) other guys after a chill urban hike. We all got the bowl because we were hungry. The employees working there were friendly, conversational, helpful and nice to all of us. We all got the three scoops of poke with very different topping selections. We left feeling pretty happy with our decision. But once we got home, one by one, our stomachs were making weird sounds and acting up. The poke place was all of the (4) of us' first meal of the day. And then one by one we all had many many poops and for hours and hours. We haven't eaten anything after the poke and are still waiting for our stomachs to settle. The only thing we could think was the fish itself? Because all of our topping were really different and I believe we all got very similar poke selections. I mainly wrote this to make sure they are taking care in looking into the refrigeration/ freshness of the protein. I don't want alone else to experience the after math of a poke meal. Like I said, the employees were great. They have great options. But we won't be going back. This messed with our trust issues lol. I've visited this location twice now since finding it on Yelp. You get a ton of food in their poke bowls and it can be difficult finding a good Poke place that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for toppings. I noticed you could order online but my boyfriend is particular about what goes in his bowl so we decided to visit in-person. Masks are required and they have a sign on the door that says they only allow 3 customers at a time inside. They have bowls where you can get either 3 or 5 scoops of protein. You can also choose from brown rice, white rice, and salad. My boyfriend likes to get both brown rice and salad whereas I prefer white rice. I've ordered the salmon, albacore, spicy tuna and tuna and so far all the fish I've had tasted super fresh. The crab meat is not an extra cost. That's right, I said it. NOT EXTRA. Which I was happy to see because I love a good scoop of crab meat but hate paying extra, obvi. They offer spicy crabmeat and regular crabmeat. Avocado is one of the only toppings that is extra. However, there is plenty to choose from like pineapple, masago, and cilantro. They have plenty of sauces to choose from and crispy toppings. This is my new go-to spot! I'm trying a sushi burrito next that will be rolled in hot cheeto crumbs. read more

Hubby and I just order 2 burritos. 1 without any kind of real protein and the second with spicy tuna. To say that the quality has taken a hit is an understatement. I refrained from ordering protein because nothing seemed very fresh or appetizing and my husband settled for spicy tuna because he didn't want one without any protein. Soy paper + avocado add ons came up to $38 and in all honesty, we should have just forked up another $20 and got some hand rolls at a decent sushi place. The burritos lacked in flavor and substance. It's located in a strip mall, and is a casual place you order at the counter, with a few small seating areas. You select the protein, base, and toppings you want inside your burrito (or you can choose another format like a poke bowl). I went with salmon, and loaded it up with all kinds of goodies and spicy mayo. The burritos are huge and it's definitely a novelty to get a Cheeto-rolled sushi burrito. Took the plunge, ordered bowls of poke for the fam. It was gooooood. What I love about this that stands out from other poke places is that they do not charge extra for mango & pineapple. I love fruits in poke? Mango texture almost feels like sashimi to me and it adds a refreshing zest to the bowl. Sorry pineapple in food haters. They also had a mango yuzu sauce I was into. Although I don't think the avocado extra is worth it. It's not sliced avocado but smashed, like guac. Food was mostly fresh (took out some not so fresh greens) but taste was good! We all enjoyed it. The salmon and tuna was fresh and not fishy at all. Although I think portion of protein could be larger! For some reason it seemed it was slightly reduced than before. What a let down, this place is disgusting if I can put it that way. I paid $28 for a delivery of a single poke bowl from Uber eats and I regret it. The tuna that was in there must have been 4-5 days old, it had turned brown and these people had the nerves to put that in the bowl for delivery.
