3.5 stars. Food is average, hard for poke bar to go wrong. The ingredients selection is also normal but nothing stands out. What stood out is the service. There's a boy there that provided exceptional services. I regretted not asking about his name. The water service, order taking are both done right and nicely. He's the reason why this place is rated above average from me.

I came here to get quick take out and ordered the small Salmon special. It was tasty but the portion was very tiny. Not sure if I would revisit. I'm case you're wondering about the locations it's inside the mall at the food court in front of Ross.

Located inside Westgate Mall food court, Poke Bar is pretty decent. I like that they are generous with their toppings (no extra charge for toppings that other poke houses would charge for like crabmeat, seaweed salad, pineapple, edamame, corn, etc). They also have kale (which I've never seen as an option at other places), and three different crispy toppings (I think one of them are almonds!) I wouldn't say their fish is the best (it's good enough if you're not expecting sushi-grade quality) and I wouldn't say their rice is the best (it's not fluffy sushi-grade rice but they do offer brown rice). You get so many toppings that every square inch tastes different! :)

Reasonable price per bowl with a good variety of base, protein, toppings and sauces. This has been my go-to Poke place when I'm at West Gate Mall. It is located in the middle food court area of the mall. Starting at 9.99 for 2 proteins is actually good for me. I always go for the salmon and they are nice and soft They have the staples -- tuna, shrimp, spicy tuna, and more. They also have tofu for vegetarians. I like brown rice for my base, semi-healthy but filling. They have white rice and greens too. I would usually put only half of the available toppings just to keep it simple. I do like the option for mangoes for an additional dollar. It goes well with my choices. I also like the combination of sweet chili and ponzu sauce. Glad to have an accessible option for poke bowl in the mall at a good price.

Delicious and excellent pricing. I think it's the best place to eat in the Westgate center food court.

Food courts have this almost magical quality of transforming everything I love to a resounding "whatever". Since poke bowls are my go-to for a quick "healthy" meal, I GPS'd my way to the closest spot not knowing this was square in a shopping center. MEDIUM POKE BOWL (3 proteins): So much rice! And stingy with the fish :-( Never had a poke place use a melon baller for their protein. Interesting variety of toppings (kale, pineapple, corn, etc.), though they could up the quality. And their crab salad is served warm, flavorless, and dry (no mayo)??? Wat Though poke as fast food is undoubtedly wasteful (carryout containers, disposable utensils, plastic gloves, etc.), Poke Bar somehow added even MORE waste to the process by mixing their fish & sauce in paper trays and trashing each after every order. Maaaaaan, I'm not one to tout moral righteousness for the sake of environmentalism (especially after getting takeout...), but come on-- washable metal bowls aren't that hard to come by.

Pretty but portion for a small bowl

Stopped by here for lunch on a Sunday after church. Pretty darn good poke! located in the westgate mall food court. Usually I don't expect places in a mall food court to be that good and the food you get is overpriced compared to the quality, but this place proves one of the exceptions. I ordered a small create your own bowl. It comes with two scoops of fish and all the toppings you want. Here my thoughts on each bowl component: 1.) Brown Rice / Spring Salad Mix - pretty good base and nice they can do half half. The brown rice had a nice chew to it, spring salad seems like your typically spring salad mix from Costco (not a bad thing) 2.) seaweed salad and crab - wouldn't surprise me again if it was from Costco, but that seaweed salad is so yum, so not complaining. Crab was nice and light. 3.) salmon and scallop - cold and fresh, tasted quite yum. Only minor nit pick would be I wish they were a bit more generous with their scoops. 4.) toppings - all the toppings tasted very fresh and good. I paid extra for avocado and glad that they don't skimp on that like other places sometimes may. 5.) sauce - sweet chili - definitely recommend this sauce if you like a nice kick. A bit sweet, a nice kick, perfect complement to the goal itself.

The poke here is okay and the service is nice. I always ask for extra of several toppings like imitation crab and the fried garlic+onion. In general I wish their pieces of fish were larger because I felt like I couldn't really taste the fish as much since the pieces were kinda small. I feel there was too much rice compared to the fish. But either way it tastes fine, I always get salmon with the spicy sauce.

There are a ton of great choices. My husband always gets the Lau Lau - when we go to Hawaii he always has to get plate lunch, this fits the bill and then some. I have done both the mixed BBQ chicken and beef - and then I also have done them as single option, always delicious. Again, great portion size. And I get it with broccoli, which is just steamed and super fresh tasting, absolutely love it. We love the appetizers - spring rolls and gyoza - so you get a little bit of everything here. Final Thoughts: 4.33/5…read more They were our caterer for a work party. This is a food truck and they seem to have everything ready to be served to us. Asian fusion foods are typically my go-to choice and so I was very excited that they were providing us food today. Food: Garlic Fried Chicken Bowl: 4.3/5 The sauce on this is divine with the chicken. It's like an unagi sauce with garlic in it. It has some saltiness, sweetness, and that umami flavor. Garlic taste and scent is present, but not too overpowering, which I really enjoyed. That flavor is great, but some places really overdo it for me. Just a personal preference though. For the chicken itself, it's very tender and juicy on the inside and still has some of that nice crunch on the outside. Perhaps this is because the cut of meat is the chicken thigh. It's not super crispy because I don't believe this is being fried to order for us. Seems to be food held in a warmer until its ordered. Kimchi was the side that they had provided with this dish and I am here for that. Some people aren't the biggest fan of this and I saw that from the looks my coworkers gave it. Personally, very much enjoyed it though. That sourness and spice from the kimchi just balances out this bowl really well. The veggies are nice and crispy. Gives it that freshness. Also, very slight detail and addition, but I always enjoy the sesame seeds and furikake sprinkle as a garnish. There's a nice nuttiness to it that they provide as a simple garnish. Spicy Tuna Poké: 4.0/5 This item was alright. The flavor was also really good, but I did get tired of eating just one type of poke protein. Typically when I go to get poke, it's 2 to 3 scoops of different proteins with various sauces to change up the flavor. I did get tired of this one after a few bites. The flavor of this item was very good though. There's a nice kick from it and the flavor tastes like a mix of kewpie mayo, soy sauce, sriracha, and sugar. Very simple, but you can't go wrong with those flavors. For the side, they added seaweed salad. Again, not your average side dish. Personally, I enjoyed it, but it might not be a common or familiar side dish for other individuals. It has a nice sweetness and nuttiness to it. For texture, there's a nice bite to it, which is ncie since the tuna is very soft and doesn't contribute much to the texture component. Menu: Small Their menu seems quite limited, but again, that is normal for a food truck, I believe. The items they provide do it just fine for me. I appreciate that they also have an option for the vegetarians. The menu we were provided was limited to 4 items, which is fine since the scale of this party wasn't anything too wild and we were able to satisfy everyone with what they provided. --------- Quality: Alright The quality of the food seems OK. It came out within a few minutes for us and I don't think it takes just a few minutes to fry that piece of chicken. I could be wrong though, so no one quote me on that. Just an observation. Not the highest expectations because their limited to the space and area in general. The product they provide is very good though. Overall, for something that has raw seafood in it, it seemed quite fresh and tasty. The items aren't made to order either and it's more assemble and serve to order, but again, they seem to be making it work with the product that they are selling. Price: Estimated Because this was a catering event, I am actually unaware of how much my administrator paid for the food. What I know is that she paid for a certain amount of bowls. From the looks of this item though, I want to estimate the price of each bowl being around $16 to $20 depending on the food item provided. Seems quite average for a bowl of food these days. Service: Quick and fast Because most of the food is already prepared and ready, the interaction with them itself is very limited. They took our order and provided us with the food. Nothing too significant to note and that is to be expected with the food truck. They were very sweet though and explained the menu items to be when I had a question. Ambiance: Simple and cute food truck The design on their food truck is so cute. The riceball is my favorite because it has this very cute face and just looks darling to me. The outside has a simple design with the name and logo on top and then perhaps some of the food items they provide written on the bottom section of the truck. Doesn't seem like anything too fancy, but simplicity is best for me. Location/Parking: Wherever they travel and navigate to Because they're a food truck, they can drive to you, which is really convenient. On Yelp, it states that their located on 36 Commercial Street in downtown, which might be where their truck is serving most of the time. Again, it is a food truck though, so they have the ability to drive to you and travel around to their customers, which is quite convenient is reaching a broader group of people.

For the second plate, we got another Chicken Katsu with the Beef (also an extra $0.50). One thing I really liked is the self-serve sauce station. They have katsu sauce that you can pump into small containers, along with teriyaki sauce and several additional sauce packets, so it's easy to customize your meal. The Chicken Katsu was crispy and tasty, but the Crispy Shrimp only came with three pieces, and the beef was just okay. The portions are also a bit smaller compared to Olioli Hawaiian BBQ, although the prices are noticeably lower. My biggest disappointment was that the plates come with a green salad instead of macaroni salad. For me, macaroni salad is part of what makes a Hawaiian plate feel complete, so I really wish that were included instead. Overall, it's a good value, especially if you have one of their coupons. I still prefer Olioli Hawaiian BBQ for the larger portions and more traditional Hawaiian plate experience, but Ono Hawaiian BBQ is definitely worth trying when there's a BOGO deal.

The icing on top was when we told the sweet hostess that it was my mom's birthday, and she said to definitely tell our server! After our yummy lunch, we were given a complimentary order of malasadas (yum!) and then Mom got a special ice cream cup with a huge sparkler candle and the entire restaurant sang to her! But wait, there's more! Noelani's was celebrating their 13th anniversary today, so we got free live musical entertainment (normally it's only on Friday and Saturday nights) by the talented Rick Rasay. Who then proceeded to serenade Mom by changing the words to one of the songs he sang! She felt so special! AND finally, as part of their 13th anniversary, Noelani's was giving out coupons to their paying customers for free shave ice from Paradise Shave Ice who put a pop-up outside their restaurant. So yummy! And they were so super nice too - will definitely keep them in mind for any shave ice catering needs! We don't visit this restaurant as we're down in the South Bay, but we definitely plan to visit them more often! Thanks for making my mom's day so wonderful! This was an especially bittersweet birthday, as it was the first one without my dad, but somehow I think he was smiling down at us and blessing us today!
