    in store ordering not available

I've had great experiences but I'm leaving disappointed by what I believe are management decisions. The phone number on Yelp and Google both lead to a busy dial. I called the Melrose location to ask if they might have a working number and the employee as well as their manager proceeded to tell me the store wasn't open. I'm part of a small number of users that utilize inKind as well as make phone in pickup orders. I had planned on making a larger order for an event and was met by this sign which ruined my plans.

Cool spot the kids found after the book festival. It's small parking lot with two space parking in one spot. Not very welcoming but You order through a tablet. They brought the food to us. It's fresh and very crunchy chicken it was moist and soft. I got a side of rice and corn. White rice was so good my daughter ate it all haha. The corn had good flavor though it was cold. I got the original flavor to try my son got the garlic and that was delicious I wish I would've gotten it. Now let me get to the fries okurr I usually don't get fries cause I don't eat them all but I was eating my daughters and their flavored fries are bomb. I don't know what they seasoned it with but we're by far my favorite seasoned fries so far. They have a no Glove no Love packet that has plastic gloves if you get them spicy flavor or don't want sauce and chicken in your fingers.

I have been wanting to come here for so long. I am so happy I finally got to try it out. I ordered via Grubhub and picked up my order. I had the honey butter wings and hot rub tenders with their seasoned fries. I was very happy with my meal. The honey butter was so good and the dry rub was tasty as well. I enjoyed the seasoned fries. I'd love to come back and try their other flavors.

Ordered 2 orders of the wings (60), 4 orders of the drums and thighs (64) with a combo of original, soy garlic and spicy chili chicken accompanied with sauces and radishes for a going away party at work. Manager Daniel was a pleasure to work with and gave me a discount on these very expensive pieces of chicken. Not sure if the hour it took to pickup and deliver the goods affected the crispiness. One of the attendees had expected the chicken to be crispy and they weren't while another expected more taste, but she didn't use the sauce. You can't please everyone. Overall, the boxes of chicken were a hit! It was also fun for everyone to try this chicken and at the same time promote cultural diversity in the workplace! Chimmelier is also on the InKind app. Get an added InKind discount from the website.

This IS my new favorite Korean chicken spot. And the fries... OMG. Just all of it was so good. FYI: It's tucked into a strip mall, as most K-town gems are, so there is parking- in theory- if the lot is not full. Also, FYI: It is just a window that you order from. So, be prepared to wait in the lot or in your car.

My goodness this is a WAY long overdue review. This spot is so underrated. Please support. Their wings are absolutely fantastic ASTRONOMICALLY DELISH!! probably one of the best wings in LA. The staff is so friendly and inside is pretty simple interior but the wings are delish. I've tried their omg signature dry rub and it is so tasty. They use a simpler powder for their fries too and it's very tasty too!! Give it a try!

Sweet gochujang wings and kimchi fried rice

Was really craving some Korean fried chicken and had Chimmelier on my list for years, so finally decided to give it a try! My husband and I came around 11:15am, shortly after they opened so the parking lot was empty and parking wasn't an issue. There is some seating outside for you to enjoy your food. We ordered a 10-piece order of wings in the sweet gochujang flavor and a side of kimchi fried rice. The wings were delicious, flavorful, saucy and so crispy! We loved them. I personally was not a huge fan of the kimchi fried rice and saw it was very oily at the bottom. My husband enjoyed it a lot though. Overall would definitely come back for their chicken! So tasty.

    Oh, some wings?

Let's get one thing straight off the bat, I'm a sucker for a breaded chicken wing and since I was too lazy to leave the house on Sunday night, I figured ordering some Chimmelier off postmates was a good idea and I'm certainly glad I did. I'll be honest here, the prices on the app has turned me off a few times from ordering, but thanks to a "buy 8 wings, get 2 wings free" being a deal, but it also having a "buy one get one free" sale at the same time had my tummy tingling in all sorts of ways (the good kinds, I swear). So after settling on ordering 10 of the plain chicken wings, 10 of the Yang'Yum' as well as an order of french fries, I patiently waited for the food to arrive. After maybe 45 minutes or so, my order was dropped off and the wings were still pretty hot, and boy oh boy, did I did it right away. First I tried the plain wings and thought both the breading and the meat itself were done very well (I also took advantage of the sauce for the french fries and dunked the wings instead). The star of the show was the Yang'Yum' wings though, these things tasted so dang good I'm practically drooling just thinking about them five days later. Oh, and let's not forget the french fries, they were pretty standard but still had great flavour. Overall, I will absolutely be returning to Chimmelier in the future. The food here was absolutely delicious and I very much look forward to coming to one of the locations in person soon! Want some wings? Chimmelier's got you covered!

5 PC K-WINGS COMBO, OMFG Dry Rub (Best one, not spicy)
    Alex M.

Location This spot is tucked into a little corner of Ktown. The area around it isn't the nicest, and the restaurant itself is just a small window where you order from a tablet outside. Seating is limited, a high-top with a few stools and a couple of improvised two-person tables. Food - OMFG Wings (8.8): Super crispy with tender chicken. The seasoning tastes like spicy ramen powder. Very mild heat, but packed with flavor. Not too overwhelming. Good on its own. - Honey Butter Wings (8.5): Sweet with a hint of garlic. Also very crispy. A lot more oily tho. - Fries (8.1): Okay seasoning but didn't taste like much. They weren't salty at all, which would have helped. Much better with the sauces. The kimchi thousand island was really good, and the ranch tasted creamy and authentic, not store-bought. - Shrimp Toast (8.0): A popular item, so I was excited to try. My first shrimp toast ever, but it was way too oily. The bread had a nice crunch, but the filling was bland and tasted mostly of oil. The dipping sauce helped, but the dish itself wasn't a highlight. I think offering it in smaller portions (2-3 pieces) would make more sense, because more than that is too much. Or even have it as part of a combo. - Tteokbokki: I ordered the Yum Yam since I heard the Rose tasted like marinara. The sauce was overly sweet, like straight gochujang. Texture was fine, but I wish they had a spicier option since they already have the rose. Overall, I'd only come back for the chicken. The portion sizes are frustrating. The cheapest combo is $15, same as the 4-piece wings, and the popcorn chicken is $20 so we didn't get to try that. I wish there was a smaller cheaper option to get to try more. You can't mix and match, so you're stuck with just one flavor unless you're in a big group. Definitely bring more people if you want to try a variety without overspending. Service Even though you order from the iPad, the worker inside was friendly and answered our questions. But when our food came, there was a fly on the chicken. I get that these things can happen, but it definitely kills your appetite. We told them, and they replaced the dish, brought it directly to our table (instead of calling it from the window), and included extra rice and sauces. I appreciated that, but it wasn't acknowledged, no apology, no mention that the extras were compensation. A little more directness would've gone a long way. The restaurant itself has a playful and unique aesthetic, which I like, but peeking through the window, the space didn't look particularly clean

    Seasoned fries, popcorn chicken

Real good fried chicken! I've eaten the seasoned fries/Kpopcorn chicken at Smorgasburg in LA and it was delicious. Everything was super flavorful.

I was craving some solid, battered Korean fried chicken so I checked out Chimmelier at the recommendation of my friend. Turns out they converted their ktown/westlake location to take-out only since they opened other dine in locations around LA. There are nevertheless some tables and a high top area to eat your food. I got the OG original chicken (dark meat). I liked how it was breaded and fried nicely, but I wish the batter was just a tad more seasoned or salty. The thigh was pretty juicy and tender, but the drumsticks were slightly overcooked. The shrimp toast featured tasty shrimp sandwiched between fried bread. It did feel a little too oily by the second piece. We also got the kimchi fried rice which was solid with the seasoning and savory kimchi. Per my friend however it use to be much more umami with their talo. I do wish there was some sort of seaweed or green onions to balance out the flavors. It was easy to order via the kiosk and food didn't take too long. Parking in the mall is available. I wonder if their chicken would be different at another location!

This is my new favorite fried chicken place in LA! Perfectly crispy and juicy! Seasoned fried are great and staff is super friendly, plenty of parking in the lot!!

so damn consistently good. I've never even been to the location, I've only ever ordered delivery but the chicken is still so crispy by the time it gets to me. the spicy dry rub night be some of the best fried chicken (not just korean) I've had in a while. the fries are seasoned and just as crispy, and their radish is pickled in some kind of soy vinegar with jalapenos rather than just straight white vinegar. you have to pay for it whereas some places give u some for free, but I think it's worth it. i need to visit the location someday!

The kalguksu was incredible comforting, with chewy, long, freshly made noodles in a rich, savory broth that was packed with clams. The beef bulgogi was also delicious. It came with a side of salad and rice. The bulgogi was tender, well-merinated, and paired well together with the sides. The bossam was amazing! The best we've tasted. We all loved the perilla seed kalguksu due to its taste and also bc it's so healthy for you. The owner came by to check how we liked the galbi kalguksu since it was a newly created dish and we told her that it was delicious, seasoned just right. Before the meal, as they brought out the side dishes, they brought out barley rice with denjang on top to mix with yeol-moo kimchi. That was a special touch. We absolutely loved the food there. I saved the info so that we can return when we visit Koreatown again in the near future. Highly recommend this place to anyone who craves exceptional Korean food.

They have a valet parking system of sorts but we didn't pay, we self parked. The attendant told us we were fine. It was approx 9pm when we arrived and also a week night. I have no idea how much valet parking is here. We were a small party of two. Upon arrival, we were notified they were out of RICE. Um..what?? If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.

We enjoyed the Large Beef Combo. There were 5 of us, but my grandaughter is a vegetarian. The meat, all the sides, the service, the atmosphere, everything was perfect. As for my grandaughter, she found plenty to eat that allowed her to enjoy the experience as well. I would recommend Ahgassi Gopchang to everyone. At least try it once. You will keep coming back.

The service, however, was outstanding and definitely one of the highlights of our visit. If it's your first time visiting, finding the entrance can be a little confusing. We parked on the street and spent a few minutes trying to figure out where to go. For anyone visiting, it's much easier to enter through the parking lot, where the restaurant entrance is located. The banchan (side dishes) were quite good, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere inside. The decor was fun and unique, making the dining experience feel more special. Overall, the food was good, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was enjoyable. I'd come back, especially for the service and the overall experience.
