A Hollywood landmark! Came by around 10pm for drinks. Place was lively. Most tables seemed to lavish praise on several servers even taking photos with them. Lots of respect shown by patrons to staff -- love to see that. Has an old school charm. Friendly & attentive service. Lots of money & fame was on displayed. My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and made reservations for a Saturday evening. Parking is valet and I can't recall the cost but it wasn't outrageous as that's something I would've remembered. They do have a dress code but it was unclear as to how strict they are with enforcing it as I saw folks who were in jeans and seemed more casual but given we were there for a special occasion, we were dressed more formally. We were originally seated indoors but saw how cute the outdoor area was and asked to be moved outdoors. They were happy to oblige and seated us near the live entertainment in the outdoor garden. We started with cocktails and the hummus appetizer. Oh man, that hummus was amazing along with the vegetables and pita bread. For dinner, we got the salmon and bolognese. Everything was beautifully presented and we were happy with everything that came out. The service was impeccable and our waiter was helpful by making recommendations for entrees and dessert. Of course, we ordered the chocolate soufflé as I had read about it in all of the reviews and it did not disappoint. Would highly recommend for dessert. The manager also came over to our table to check on how we were doing and let us know dessert was on the house for our anniversary. A classic and classy spot that has been around for so long, this place is legendary. Ambiance: old school, cozy, quant and absolutely charming. I love coming here on busier weekends, holidays or sometimes for a dresser up lunch. The crowd is mixed from 20 something to 80 something. The atmosphere is nice and you may even spot a celebrity. My friend and I went to celebrate a special occasion and the girl working at the front with a bad attitude told us to leave because I was wearing a very classy suit with its shorts that look like a skirt. She ruined our day with her attitude!! I asked for the manager and he said the same thing... it is unacceptable to act like that with your guests. Some guests were wearing sport clothes and crop tops but they were allowed; meanwhile I was wearing a super classy set and was declined to be seated. FYI, the parking staff is amazing! They were so shocked seeing us leave that they felt bad and didn't even charge us and said that my outfit was so classy and they don't understand why polo staff behaved like that. They apologized for them but I want to emphasize that the parking manager and the team were super nice and as shocked as us but the restaurant team was the complete opposite!!! I recently dined at the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel and unfortunately, my experience was marred by disappointing service from the hostess, Cam. Despite having made reservations and requesting to be seated outside, we were seated inside while a significant number of outside tables remained empty. To make matters worse, when we expressed our dissatisfaction, the hostess, Cam, responded rudely and informed us that we were late for our 10:30 breakfast reservation. This was simply not the case, as the delay was due to the front valet taking an excessively long time to park our car. It was evident that our requests were disregarded and our experience was tainted by the dismissive and unprofessional behavior of the hostess. As a guest, I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect, and unfortunately, this was not the case. It's disappointing that the behavior of the hostess had such a negative impact on what could have been an enjoyable dining experience. I hope that the management of the Beverly Hills Hotel addresses these concerns and takes steps to ensure that other guests do not encounter similar treatment in the future. Improved customer service and attentiveness from the staff, particularly the hostess, would certainly enhance the overall dining experience at the Polo Lounge. But they didn't describe what was placed in front of us. One of the breads was stuffed with blue cheese, which I'm allergic to. Had it been mentioned, I wouldn't have eaten it, nor had to spit it out into my napkin. Next up was cocktails. I had a Vesper that was really bad (waaaay too much Lillet). I feel guilty sending things back, but for $25 I'd like to enjoy my martini. The 2nd one arrived and no one asked me if it was better. It wasn't. My wife ordered a glass of wine. It was a cab from Paso Robles. We're pretty familiar with the area but had never heard of this winery. I looked it up and the glass of wine she ordered was literally priced more than the entire bottle Finally dinner. In fairness, my wife's steak was pretty good. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare. I ordered the seafood risotto. I sort of assumed there'd be at least half a lobster tail on it for $85. I did manage to locate one little chunk of mystery meat that we both figured must be the "lobster". There was also grit in both the scallops on the plate. Even the rice was hard too enjoy on its own and was overpowered by saffron. I've heard people enjoy this place for lunch. Maybe it's better then. Dinner was super disappointing though and 100% not worth it. The only saving grace was getting to have an evening out with my wife. read more

My phone died before I could take pics of the food but everything was very good for brunch. One of my favorite restaurants. Casual, yet chic. Upscale but not uptight. A friend of mine invited me to The Polo Lounge years ago and I've been hooked ever since. He gave me a tip about their meatloaf. It is excellent (well, if you enjoy good meatloaf). It's not always on the menu but he taught me that if you ask, they usually have it available. Everything that I've eaten here has been wonderful. I enjoy meeting friends here and enjoying an afternoon of conversation, good food and a couple of bottles of wine. It is a bit pricey but if you watch what you order you can get away without a huge bill. FYI - the last time I ordered the meatloaf plate it was about $30. Once we arrived we valet the car $12. The entrance of the hotel is beautiful with a red carpet. As we walk our way to the restaurant we were greeted and given directions how to get there. I was blown away with the ambiance, decor, and attentive service. We arrived at the restaurant and requested outdoor seating. Inside seemed a bit intimate (quite, dimmed lighting). We sat on a small table for two next to a tree. It was really beautiful. Our waiter came by to take our order. During our meal our server was very attentive with any request we had.
