The food was great. Make no mistake, the food was excellent. The service nonexistent. When I have to ask to have my water glass filled up after I've been waiting 10 minutes since it's been emptied, that's a sign of poor service. When our plates sit in front of us for About 20 minutes after we finished eating and we had to call someone over because we would've liked to have ordered dessert and coffee, that's a sign of poor service. I did get to see women who were walking ads for bad plastic surgery, but that's not the fault of the restaurant. The food, as good as it was, won't bring me back. read more

Thanks to my girlfriend, we regularly stop by as this is her favorite place. Most of the time we will stop by for a nightcap or brunch, but regardless of time we always receive exceptional customer service. Hands down the Polo Lounge delivers every time with an amazing experience. Every time we visit I feel like it's my first time as I'm always blown away by the sublime customer service. Personally I'm not the biggest fan for food, but this place is great for pre-meal drinks or nightcaps with dessert. The last time we went we stopped by just for dessert, but thanks to the extraordinary service we received we stayed longer than what we initially anticipated. Visited the polo lounge with a 9:45am reservation on the 4th of July for a friends birthday. The patio is absolutely gorgeous with all different types of seating. The inside is a bit dark and quiet during the early morning hours. The cappuccino was delicious and came with a sugar cane stick. My food could have been a little bit hotter, but the service is what sets this place apart. We were checked on multiple times throughout our meal, with refills at perfect times. My friend who's birthday we were celebrating was given a gorgeous piece of chocolate cake. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for the experience and ambiance alone! read more

Had a fun brunch here with a friend who was in town for the weekend and it even included a J.Lo and Ben sighting. The food was decent but not amazing for the prices, but that's to be expected at a Beverly Hills hotel. The service was very good as the waiters are real old school professionals and the live music was a nice touch. The interior of the hotel is beautiful. Hostesses were very off putting and didn't want to sit me despite a pretty empty restaurant on a Tuesday afternoon. I figured they had upcoming reservations so sat at the bar for lunch and drinks. I was there for over 2 hours and the place remained with plenty of open tables (photo below!). When departing I asked why I couldn't be seated considering there were still a ton of available tables and they couldn't give me an answer. Can't help but think that it was race discrimination considering I was the only one asked to sit at the bar. Jet at the bar was fantastic!! One of the best splurges in dining you'll ever make without any regrets. Came to the polo lounge for brunch today (with reservations) to celebrate combined birthdays. My rating is as follows: Staff: 10/10 from the valet to the receptionist, the waiters, and even personal conversations and recommendations from the sous chef, Luis (such a gentleman), the service was impeccable. Food & Cocktails: the McCarthy Salad and tortilla soup are signature dishes of the Polo Lounge, and I would highly recommend both as well. The oysters were the perfect texture, and the tuna tartare had the perfect kick. My friend ordered the crab Benedict and she thoroughly enjoyed her meal. Cocktails: I 100% recommend the millionaire. The ambiance: I'm not sure if it was due to Covid, but the patio area was relatively mellow and laid back, which I actually really preferred. Do keep in mind, with the abundance of frequent celebrities (there was a family seated next to us) photos are very limited. Overall, great experience. Great experience! This was our first time dining at the polo lounge and it lived up to all I've heard about it. Service could not be any better, waiters are always attentive and so helpful. Love that we didn't feel rushed and we were able to relax and enjoy our time and FOOD. The food was delicious, I had the wagyu burger prepared medium and it was actually cooked a true medium which I appreciate so much. Such a great time, can't wait to return in the future. ...side not, don't be that person trying to take pictures in front of the "Beverly hills hotel", great photo opt but you will be yelled at. My love for old Hollywood led me here. Located inside the iconic Beverly Hills hotel. The semi circular banquettes and polished wood is very elegant. I sat at the small bar and had a great time. Bottle of Moët and handcut chips is a must. Crab cake had little filler. Few celebrity sightings, piano player serenading the lunch guest, and great customer service. I was taken here for Valentine's Day weekend brunch by the most awesome boyfriend ever! Our outdoor dining experience was really nice! They sat us in the outdoor patio/garden and the waiters and waitresses were all very nice and accommodating. They were very careful and even took off their gloves to take a picture for us! The food came out really fresh and hot. The blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes were my absolute favorite!! It came with a side of hot syrup and fresh blueberries on top and inside the pancakes as well. One of my favorite pancakes experience. My boyfriend got the huevos rancheros which was really good too! I'd definitely want to come back to try their dinner menu since brunch was really appetizing :) There was also only valet parking which was $15 with validation from the lounge. I came in July while I was in LA for my birthday week. I've always wanted to come here since I was a kid because of the movie Troop Beverly Hills. I had an Aperol Spritz and a McCarthy Salad. The salad was absolutely amazing!! Instead of vinaigrette, I asked for a lot of ranch. We also ordered a club sandwich and fries for later while lounging at the pool. It was a tasty sandwich. I also got a cake and it was delish. The ambiance was everything I expected and more. We sat in the garden on a weekday afternoon. Lots of people watching! Came here for a lunch date. You will have to get Valet. There is literally no parking anywhere, and it is $20. No valdiation. The staff is very friendly when you arrive. A lot of photos ops inside the hotel. The Beverly Hill Hotel is an iconic staple in LA so its a must to stop by. I give the pasta 8.5 out of 10 but my Chicken Parmesan was was a little dry. It wasn't terrible but I give it 6.5 out 10. My server was great and very accommodating. Ill be back to try other things on the menu. read more

This place is legendary. One step in and you feel the history just ooze through the walls. Crossed it off the bucket list last month at a friend's prompting - she wanted to celebrate my belated birthday with a nice girl's lunch. The experience was absolutely wonderful. Of course prepare to spend a pretty penny here: $25 cocktails (that I must say are gorgeous and taste delightful), $40 for an average entree...and this is for brunch. I HAD to see the hype behind the McCarthy salad. Verdict: it was very tasty, but even so, $44 for a salad with no particularly special ingredient (it's a chopped salad with romaine, chicken, egg, beets, tomato, cheddar, bacon, and avocado balsamic vinaigrette)...is in fact a bit bonkers. Regardless, we had a great experience, and memory for the books. The service of course was primo. We enjoyed speaking to our server and the support staff. Many have been working there for years and years...which I loved, can you imagine all the stories?! Also, at no point during the meal did we feel rushed. Really the best thing about this place is the ambiance's but a close second was the sweet waiters we had. They were funny and kind and made this small girls night out a real treat. I've always found when a restaurant gets the hospitality right, the food tastes better. A great meal is about much more than food - and it's the people who work front of house who know how to make you feel special. Sadly, the polo lounge has been slipping in this regard the last few times I have been here. The food has never been particularly good, but the ambiance, service, and vibe have always made up for it in my mind. Not quite sure if it's an over-corporitization, ego, or maybe a result of nepotism but I have distinctly felt like I'm getting attitude from those working the host stand upon check-in as of late. It's quite unseemly and totally unnecessary at a place like this. I was so disappointed at my last visit that I felt compelled to complain to management about it. I had arrived a few minutes early with the intention of arranging the flowers and champagne I had brought to enhance the table before my mother's arrival for her special occasion. I was curtly informed that "we only seat entire parties." When I pressed that I had arrived early so I could arrange the flowers and champagne BEFORE my mother's arrival the hostess behaved as if this was an awkward and unusual request. She then indicated that they would "make an exception just this once" and proceeded to assign our table. When it's not even 11am and the restaurant maybe has 5-6 tables seated this comes across as patronizing and condescending. I understand if it's midnight and the place is packed, but, give me a break!!! Due to covid the restaurant had apparently created a side patio in order to accommodate the social distancing (again I understand we are all under a unique situation) my complaint here is that again, on Mother's Day, and when the PL is known for live music is to have guests seating in an area that does not quite have the same vibe. It almost felt like a "bait and switch." To have booked a table months in advance only to be seated on an empty side patio with the faint sound of live music playing in the distance is pretty underwhelming. I tried to take everything in stride but the final straw came when the heat lamp failed to work after requesting it be turned on when my mother became cold. I decided I had to complain. While waiting for the manager to arrive I had an opportunity to observe the hostess turn a young family away who had apparently shown up at the wrong place. All I can say is a little grace goes a long way and feel like a pro would have made the accommodation and found a place to seat them rather than turn them away. I know there were available tables because we had just finished dining in solitude after the hostess claimed "we're going to be packed" upon my initial objection to being seated on the makeshift patio. My most recent visit at Christmastime was equally underwhelming. After arguing with the host informing us that we didn't have a reservation only to be corrected by another employee that the name she was searching wasn't the name I provided at least 3 times. After the "clarification" we were immediately seated at a booth and the 6th seat was literally 10-12" below the table - the edge of the table rested at whomever was seated in that seats chest. It was literally a joke and I figured we were being filmed for our reactions! The guest seated in the "chair of honor" was gracious enough to not cause a scene, but, even after requesting two additional cushions he was still at an awkward position compared to the rest of us. How can any rational person literally expect someone to sit at a table like that unless you're in some Tijuana style slop house? $135 for brunch and you're literally going to seat someone in that spot? It wasn't my reservation so I bit my tongue, but, wtaf??? Go to the Ivy instead - much better experience all around. read more

One of my favorite places for lunch & dinner. The food is always wonderful, the service top and drinks strong. What's no to like?

My 4 friends and I dined here last night and had a horrible experience. Our waiter an older gentleman with glasses had 0 sense of humor, and made us feel uncomfortable for asking any questions about the menu. Cherry on top was when your waiter charged the bill for another table on our credit card as well. We were all disspointed in the food. Mccarty salad was bland the steak had way too much peppercorns. Most of all we were disspointed in the souffle. Still not sure why ours was served with whipped cream instead of ice cream. Every picture I see has ice cream. The waiter didn't mention they were out or anything either. The sunset drink and the pink drink with dragonfruit was tasty. One star for the drinks and another for ambiance. Over $700 (with tip) later will not be back! read more

This is one of the most iconic places! Imagine dining at a place that is romantic, intimate and completely breathtaking. I took my wife to the Beverly Hills Hotel for a weekend and we had a reservation on our last night here. We were seated at a booth that looked out onto the back patio. The weather and setting were perfect. The service was first class. We started out with the Caesar salad and Raspberry salad. They were both amazing but the Raspberry salad was incredible. My wife had the Halibut entree and I chose the Lobster Linguini. They were both about as good of a dish as we have ever had anywhere. This is a must place to try at least once in your lifetime. Marilyn Monroe dined here frequently which means you must as well! The property is stunning and the service is impeccable. We will be back next year again without a doubt! read more
