The experience was that bad but when we entered through the entrance we were greeted with very poor greeting. I said hello to the hostess and ask how she was doing and was replied only with how many people. Then when we sat she just goes there's your table. Our waitress was more polite. Food was very good my biggest complaint was that I ordered the meatball it came out after not even two minutes that was a red flag and when I went to eat it the outside was warm but the inside was almost less then room temperature. I will start by saying that Phoenix is not NY, New Haven, or Chicago. However, Pomo makes a fantastic neapolitan pie with a closer to NY style crust. The pies are slightly larger than a personal, so one can work for two or one, if someone very hungry like myself. The Don Alfonso is my favorite, with the hot suppressa adding great flavor on top of the perfectly charred crust. I have also enjoyed the Quattro Formaggi and the Toto Sapore. This has been a place that I have confidently recommended friends, family, and coworkers. The restaurant is small, so a wait is possible. Fortunately Chambers is next door for a drink, or you can walk a block over to The Churchill while you wait. Definitely worth checking out if you are downtown and looking for a good pie! read more

Frequent this restaurant - this location when I'm in town to visit my family and most recently, hosted living celebration for my brother. Management and staff were extremely supportive and on top of things with our crowd of nearly 100 - packed the place to the gills. Hats off their staff - both front and back of house. More like 3.5 * but our waiter was very nice so I'll bump it up. Came in early before heading to see Jo Koy at the Footprint Center (which was amazing, btw). We both ate a late lunch so we were not overly hungry, which is rare. We were going to get one pizza each but when the waiter mentioned that the bufala is more "wet" than other pizzas I didn't really want a wet pizza. I ordered the margherita instead and my husband got the bufala. When they both came out they were equivalently wet. Not bad but if you want a crispier crust then maybe try something else and ask for cooked more because these two pies had more "wet" dough under the cheese. I was very excited to try this restaurant and it certainly did not disappoint. I recommend reserving a table during dinner hours as it was very busy when we showed up for our reservation. Fortunately, we were seated promptly and service was excellent. Tables are very close together so you might inadvertently eavesdrop onto a conversation next to you. The two pizzas we ordered included and calamari as an appetizer. As a Neapolitan pizza lover, they were prepared perfectly and were delicious.
