I have been a huge fan ever since they opened.. Fantastic pizza for sure however the owner's complete incompetence in managing their success and disrespect of the customers has me very disappointed. I have tried 3 times this Summer to order pizza but a 1.5 to 2 hour wait is simply nuts. I tried again last night by calling them at 8 PM. Three times the phone went unanswered so I drove to their shop to find their doors locked. As I was approaching the shop I saw 2 other customers being turned away. A man comes to the door and in a unapologetic tone says we are done for the day. So I asked aren't you open until 9PM and he says we close when the phone stops ringing to which I responded I tried calling 3 times at 8PM with no answer. He just says we're done for the day and closes the door. I am done patronizing Pomodoro and will no longer recommend them to my AirBnB guests either. read more

The toppings were very fresh and tasty. Crust nicely thin but soggy. The sauce was mediocre. For a pizza, the crust and sauce need to be really good to make a great pizza. Upon reading the reviews and all of the New York references, decided to eat here. It's average, wouldn't say that it's straight from or mimics that of a New York style pizza. We ordered extra large cheese pizzas that were very tasty and our family devoured them. The staff give you a number for your order instead of taking your name. The downside is that a customer gave the wrong number took our order before we arrived. It took a minute to figure out what happened. The pizza here was good and definitely tasty but not the best I've ever had. I would 10/10 eat again and its a lot better than most pizzas I've had in the area. You have to pay to park to get pizza here in the summer which can be a pain especially when you have to walk far to get the pizza and pay to park. While on vacation at the beach, we wanted to get some pizza for lunch one day. We were wanting some great tasting "boardwalk pizza". Something I enjoyed when I was growing up. We happened upon this place and after reading reviews we decided to give it a try. What a great decision! The pizza was amazing! We ordered the Pomodoro Special. Great crust, wonderful sauce and plenty of toppings. Friendly, helpful owners too. There is a small counter with stools that you can sit at to eat your or you can carry out. You can purchase a whole pie in 2 sizes or by the slice. They also offer strombolis and calzones. I would love to try a stromboli sometime. I'm sure that it would be amazing too! read more

I used to only know of grottos pizza whenever coming to Bethany, DE. Now, I have another pizza place to go to! And I think I like it better! So it's different than Grottos as it's NY style. Grottos is good too as they put the cheese on first and then sauce on top. However the sauce sometimes is too sweet for me. Pomodoro just makes some darn good pizza. If you like NY style, it's a must try. I recently got a slice of the pepperoni first. Crispy and thin, tasty sauce and the cheese also pulls away into a gooey mess (good thing!). I'm still salivating while typing this up. After one slice, I was tempted by a meatball pizza that had ricotta cheese on top plus drizzle of olive oil. This made a soggier pizza, but man oh man was it tasty! My eyes popped out a bit because it was unexpected. Ok, I was hungry but still...I gotta go back! The beach has a new pizza sheriff in town!! Go go go, but don't go when I'm there cuz I don't wanna wait in a long line! ****The Good**** - Meatball, ricotta and olive oil drizzle pizza extravaganza goodness! - Service was great.
