Best pizza in Bethany Beach! Excellent crust and amazing flavor, love their pizzas !!!

I never thought I'd find good pizza on the Delaware or MD beaches. This was recommended to me by someone who said the owner was from Naples and they actually have good pizza. So I tried it out and was happy to see there is good pizza on a Delaware beach! You can't sit inside to eat and I'd recommend calling ahead if it's a busy day. We were in town to enjoy the beach for a weekend and our friend who is a local recommended this place for pizza at the beach. I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by the staff (who seemed to be authentic Italian folks). It was ready in about 20 minutes. I picked up our pie and walked back to the beach to enjoy it. My husband and I agreed it was fantastic pizza! The crust was thin and crispy and the sauce was perfectly seasoned. The cheese was just enough and so flavorful, not greasy or too heavy. We will definitely recommend and return when we come to visit the beach again! read more

Belive the reviews. We were brainwashed into getting Grotto's at the beach. Decided to try Pomodoros based on Yelp. So glad we did. Got a large pepperoni and a Pomodoro special. Crust was perfect and thin, sauce and toppings very good. Just really good pizza, and the folks there were super efficient and nice. Go get some great pizza while your at the beach. read more

A delightful place for slices or full pies in Bethany now occupies the storefront where Subway once was. Their pizza is real pizza... (not the gloppy cakey stuff the Grotto outlets serve up). If you are from the NY area, this is where you will come to get a pizza! Lovely people, great service and fabulous food. Great sauce too. Mostly take out business but a few places to eat a slice or two on 4 stools in the window. My wife and I have been several times and can't wait for our next visit. THE BEST PIZZA. We unexpectedly stopped by for a slice late at night when we couldn't find an ice cream place that was open. The pizza was so good that we stopped by again the very next day. Not only is the pizza absolutely delicious but the service is fantastic as well. We couldn't decide on what kind of pizza we wanted and since it wasn't too busy at the moment, the owner made us a half and half margherita/cheese pizza. AWESOME. It is family run and they are all very friendly and helpful. Best pizza in the area. I really only discovered it the past 2 years or so but it has become a staple whenever in Bethany. They serve pizzas either by slice or whole pies. The slices are huge so it's a great deal! I used to walk over there on my break from Shades at the Beach- a shop on the same boardwalk- and grab a slice. Of course their pizzas like cheese and pepperoni are great, but also the white spinach pizza is amazing!! read more

Delish and fast. Walked up and got several slices to take back down to the beach for lunch. Really good, with some creative options - basil pesto , a really nice sausage pie, bbq chicken, and a few others. (I might not be quoting the names perfectly, but you get the idea). It's good, I know a lot of people suggested we try here instead of Grottos. They are just two totally different pizzas, you can't compare them, however I didn't think this pizza was all that. We always sit in the bar where they have a tremendous draught beer list. The salads alone can be a meal. My go to dinner salad is the steak salad that comes with French fries on top Pittsburgh style. The chicken Parmesan is outstanding as is the lasagna, burgers, and last but not least the pizza. Great thin but chewy crust and a tangy pizza sauce. Lots of TVs for sports. Outside seating in nice weather. Service is great and they work their butts off. read more

The hours were advertised online as closing at 9pm. I arrived in person--only one in the shop--around 8:20pm to order a pizza and was refused. The worker said they stop taking orders at 8:30pm. Experience definitely could've been better! read more

My family visits Bethany every single summer, I never knew this place existed until I saw it on Yelp. We went today for a quick slice, the place is very tiny, so plan on taking it to go. The staff is friendly and it only took about 10 minutes for 5 slices. The pizza is flavorful, crust is perfect with just enough crisp, on the greasy side....but most good pizza does have grease! We typically get Grotto pizza every time we are here. Pomodoro is very good, different than Grotto, I live in PA where this kind of pizza I can get on any block, so I still love Grotto because it's a treat to get it at the beach. However, would I get Pomodoro again,...Absolutely! read more

Went and got pomodoro for dinner one night and it is absolutely delicious! The whole family really enjoyed the pizza! We got one cheese pizza and one meat lovers and the meat lovers was just amazing! It included bacon and other meats which we all really appreciated. The cheese on the pizza never fell off which was very refreshing. The lady that works inside is super sweet! The pizza was steaming when we left which was really nice as it was still hot when we got home. I would highly recommend pomodoro! read more
