Oh, I am so happy that I found this cute shop after the aweful experience I had with Soak Bar. Though I live in LA where we have nail shops on every other street, my work schedule does not allow me (at the moment) to get my manicure at my regular nail shop. Unlike LA, La Canada simply has two nail shops. When it comes to nails, I really dont care about the interior of the shop more than the skill of the technicians. Pop nail uses top of the line products. they do not use cold water ( like soak bar) but use warm water and give enough time for the cuticles to soften. They also have the latest winter essie/opi collections, use steam towel and alcohol wipes to make sure lotion& oil is completely off the nails before putting on the polish. They are extremely meticulous and serious about their job. read more

This little nail salon is easy to miss - located in a small strip mall on Foothill close to a freeway entrance. But it's become my latest go-to place for a pedicure for the following reasons: 1) Service - all of the ladies that work here are super-nice and have always been super-attentive to my footsies. My pedicures always look great and last a super-long time. 2) Selection - all of the great brands, and a huge array of great colors as well. Also a nice magazine selection - cuz pedicures are always more fun when you have some great gossip and/or fashion magazines to peruse. 3) Crowds - NOT. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes - even when I've gone during prime weekend hours. I think it may have to do with the relatively small location of the salon and its low-key location. Great nail salon! Honestly the best manicure and pedicure I've had in like FOREVER!! I'm sticking with this salon. I walked in for a mani/pedi. There were two women working when I walked in on a Wednesday, and both were friendly. They have a very large selection of great colors to choose from. I've tried Happy Nails in the Pasadena Paseo mall. Pop Nail is on another level from Happy Nails. Pop Nail takes the time to make sure your nails are perfect, and when your done and ready to leave, they spray them with this quick drying spray. They are attentive to you, not the sale. Cathy did my pedicure, and it is just perfect! I cannot remember the name of the woman who did my manicure, but she was great as well!! Great place to get your manicure or pedicure! Just found this hidden gem of a nail salon in the foothills. Right off the freeway and easy parking in their lot. Don't be fooled by the cute size of the shop, they offer so much more than their size suggests! Got a spa pedicure that came with jet tub, organic sugar scrub, hot towels, and hot stone massage, and for a very reasonable price. Ester took her time to give all my cuticles plenty of attention. Their nail color selection was plentiful and no extra charge for designer brands or colors, like some other salons charge. Have been switching around to different salons in the area because I was unsatisfied with all of them. Pop Nail has been my savior! So glad I found them. Go check it out for yourself! read more

This gem of a place is fantastic! It is under new ownership and I think they are doing a fantastic job. I thought the previous owners were great as well. I called into Pop Nail for an appointment. I asked the woman on the phone how much they charge for a gel manicure and pedicure in which she told me $70 for gel manicure. When I told her, "I'm sorry that's too expensive", she told me "Well that's not an issue for people in our neighborhood. They have good jobs", implying that I am poor. There is no excuse for treatment like that. When I complained to her about her response, she merely responded, "sorry but people here have better jobs." read more

I am so excited that I found this salon! I am a retired nail tech, so I am very particular about my nails. I was getting discouraged because I could not find a good, clean nail salon that did advanced nail art in my area. But, I am so glad I gave Pop Nail a try because I have now found my permanent nail spot! I am sad that I didn't come earlier because they've been open a few years! They are meticulous, clean, and have many many colors to choose from. They also use high quality gel from Korea that lasts so long that mine grew out and became a French tip! I love supporting a local business, but you add the convenience of it being located minutes from home and you're greeted so warmly each time by the owner and staff who are incredibly welcoming, professional, and kind...it's a total win. I get a gel mani which lasts 3-4 weeks and a regular pedi which lasts even longer. Cost is around $60 for both (not including tip) which is very reasonable for not having to drive far or pay for parking. For a busy mom trying to squeeze time in for myself every couple of months, this place is perfect. If I am make an appointment, I am usually in and out in about an hour. I came across this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try based on the reviews and being close to home. I LOVED it. I came in for gel nails and a pedicure. I was nervous about the pedicure but it turned out great & was worth the price because Steven did so good from beginning to end. I liked it so much I sent my sister the next day. I recently stopped in without an appointment for a manicure. The cost was $13 and I was very satisfied. The girl did a great job, was professional, and was quick (but not too quick!) Their biggest strengths seem to be personal attention and very professional staff. My mani is perfect. Their selection of colors is HUGE so you can take your pick. I also saw a lot of gel and specialty options but I did not do gel. The shop has magazines and comfy chairs, and nice relaxing music playing. It is however pretty messy but the girls are busy so seem to not have extra time to clean up. I wanted to tidy up while I was there but resisted :) Overall, good experience and I may go back if I'm in the area. read more

I splurged on the Pop Nail Delux and it is totally worth it! Ester and Grace are wonderful, kind and talented. The arm, hand, foot and leg massages were great. Even the view is beautiful. I normally don't do reviews - and this isn't one. I'm giving 3 stars to try and be fair to the algorithm, but this is just a head's up... There are new owners as of last Sunday. Ester and Grace are no longer there. I'm a regular, every two weeks - they didn't tell me. No clue until I walked in and it was all new faces and stuff moved around. So... I won't review the new folks because it would be colored by my shock, and they're still getting set up. But I just wanted to throw it out there in case customers were looking for Grace and/or Ester. read more

I am updating and adding a star for the quality of the nail techs. I have in the past 2 years tried other nail shops that are much more inexpensive but no one compares. The attention to detail, the quiet atmosphere, the undiluted polish, and talented nail techs keep me coming back! My gel nails last about 4 weeks and my toes last 6 weeks! Honestly don't come if you are on a budget. It's at least $20-$40 more overall but please pick this place when you want to splurge and indulge yourself in beautiful nails that will last! read more

Came in super last minute for a gel manicure, and everyone who worked there was so sweet. Grace, one of the nail technicians (I don't know if thats the right word but we're going with it), was so sweet and made my chewed up nails look brand new. A Wonderful Nail Salon! I went tonight and was greeted with warm smiles. Ester and Grace were fantastic!! They are under new management!! You can see the difference.. The salon is spotless!! I just do the basic mani pedi but I love how they use disposable buffers, files and liners on their massage chairs. All tools are sanitized too. They are very thorough and did a great job. Although I have my regular nail shop do my fills, I came to Pop Nails once only because it is closer to my home and I didn't feel like driving across town that day. With no appointment, I waited about 20 minutes, which was fine with me. I waited in the silent atmosphere until the girl was ready to do my French tip fill. Oh, there was music, but no one talked at all, I thought was a bit unusual. The girl did a terrible job onmy nails.She did all filing with an emery board. She didn't clean under my nail tips. The French tip polish had a grayish tone to it...not pretty and fresh looking, as it should be. The polish started chipping after few days and nail edges we're not smooth and started snagging. This cost me 25 without tip. I was going to give her a dollar tip because I was not happy, but she didn't bring back the change for my 5 bill. I'm sure she assumed it was all for her tip. My fault for not asking for my change. I had to get a new fill from my regular shop (who charge $15) in just 7 days. I won't go back to Pop Nail again and I don't recommend them for acrylic fills. read more
