Yum yum for my Tum tum!
    Steven U.

Pot pies are my comfort food...always has been It's a struggle to find a good pot pie...especially because a lot of the times people call soup with a puff pastry top a pot pie...yeah...no...that's not how that works... In my book, a pot pie has to have crust on the bottom and the top The good news is that Pop Pie delivers! They have a large selection of flavors and the service was very good here. I felt bad for the worker...I had a lot of questions...but you know, I needed to make sure it was what I wanted! I tried the traditional chicken pot pie, as a control. Hot, fresh and delicious, this pot pie is a real hit with my tummy! There was plenty of large chunks of chicken and gravy to make it a perfect blend of textures I will definitely be back to try additional flavors...and dessert!

I'm not a big pot pie person but decided to give it a try. We had the original & butter chicken. The original is really good the butter chicken was okay. I love the crust on the pies, they're a perfect size for your meal and the pricing was good. Everyone working was nice and friendly. I didn't feel rushed. Parking was a challenge but people are coming & going rapidly. I would go back.

Parking was a bit cramped but we were able to find a spot quickly. It's located next to Side Car donuts. We tried 3 of their pies, each were $12-$2.5 each Chicken - classic and prob my favorite one. Lots of meat inside. Wish there were more potatoes inside Steak and ale- you can really taste the ale, pretty good but chicken is better Butter chicken - which is part of their rotating pie. Tastes exactly like what you think it would: butter chicken in pie crust Everything was pretty good. Decent size and very filling. I shared with my boyfriend and we didn't finish the three pies.

I love key lime pies but seldom ever find one I enjoy. Usually the crust isn't sturdy enough and mushy. The filling either too sweet or doesn't have that nice aroma of lime juice. Sometimes it's all of the above. So consequently, I just never bother getting any as it almost always disappoints me and I just feel ripped off. Well, not so if I get my slices from Pop Pie!!!! I discovered this location by accident when I was fixing to get donuts next door. I don't know what made me pop in to look at pies but I am so glad I did!!!! What an underrated place this is. The service was courteous and efficient. I got 4 different kinds of pies. Two savory and two sweet ones. I honestly wasn't expecting much until I took a bite out of my two sweet pies. I shared with nobody at home because it was too good. My mom couldn't snatch the fork out of my hand fast enough just to try a bite. The key lime pie was very silky and had just enough tartness and sweetness. The crust was sturdy and buttery. Just how I like them. No soggy bottoms and no wet pie sheets looking and tasting greasy. The same with the chocolate pecan pie. Not gritty and not crunchy. But still has the perfect texture and flavors of chocolate and pecans. Loved it. Also enjoyed the breakfast pie that had loads of potatoes and savory meats. This one is not something I would get again. I liked the quiche but not enough to go back just to have more of. Parking here is easy and free right in front of the shop. Amex accepted and totally worth visiting for treats. What a wonderful discovery this was and I can't wait to go back!

Service: 5/5. We were greeted immediately by a young man at the counter, who was also helpful with recommendations. They have a variety of heated and cold pies, and offer to heat up the cold ones if you wish. It's not just about the filling. The pastries (crusts and crumbles) are so integral to a good pie, and Pop Pie does all of them well. STEAK & ALE: 4/5. Surprisingly herbaceous and extremely hearty. My partner and I ate this around 11AM and were still full enough that we skipped dinner. KEY LIME: 4/5. Starts mellow, then has a strong acidic finish. SALTED CARAMEL APPLE: 4/5. Didn't really get salted caramel, but still really delicious overall. BLUEBERRY APPLE YUZU: 4/5. The apple and yuzu are definitely the stars of this one. BOSS BREAKFAST: 5/5. Bacon, eggs, cheese, potatoes, served with a side of maple syrup. What's not to love? The eggs have a surprisingly strong flavor.

This is a good pot pie! Really great crust on the pot pie- nice fluffy and not soggy. Not too salty. But at the end of the day, it's a pot pie and it's only you can eat once a year. It was good, but I don't crave it. Parking is tough and there's nowhere to sit, it's more of a take out place.

Took a drive after so many rainy days and the sunshine was out to greet me. It was a nice drive to Costa Mesa and I thought to get a few savory breakfast pies and a birthday pie. They did not disappoint! Each one was thoughtfully explained by the friendly staff. I bought the Blueberry Apple Yuzu Crumble pie to celebrate our dad's birthday and he is going to be super pleased! Friendly customers all sharing their favorites with one another. Chicken pot pie, Poblano Corn, and many more. They have a delicious sides like creamed corn that I love! Parking is rotational switching in 10 minutes, people leave and you can find a spot. Be patient it's worth it!

If I could give it 10 stars I would especially because of how amazing Jackie is with her service and not only did she remember my name, but what I like!! She deserves high praise and greets you with a happy and great attitude. The food is great, warm hug in every bite. My favorite is the chicken pot pie and the green hog and cheese.

Ordered a Too Good To Go bag and can't complain what a good deal it was. We got to try the Steak and Chicken pies, both good savory options. The worker was very nice and gave some recommendations based on her own favorites. Will have to be back to try their dessert pies, the Strawberry Rhubarb pie looks amazing! The place is small and they share space with Stella Jeans ice cream, there's a few seats inside. ig: @cravingswithcat

A small store front to come pick up personal size pot pies. The friendly staff asked if I had been there before and if I had any questions. The store sold savory and sweet pies with other baked dessert. I picked up the Beef and Ale pot pie with creamed corn. It was a good pairing. The beef pot pie was meaty and the crust was flaky. Forgot to take a picture of the guava pastry, which was tasty. The staff offered to heat up the pastry. The parking can be a bit hard if you go by during lunch. Had to drive around to find parking to do a take out order.

Came here after seeing a few TikToks about it. The interior is a small storefront with a display case of their pies and a few tables if you want to eat there. We tried the classic chicken pot pie and the green pork and cheese pot pie. The chicken was warm and comforting, though I do wish the chicken pieces were cut a bit smaller because they were kind of dry. The pork pie had a generous amount of meat and great flavor, but was also slightly dry. Overall, a solid choice and I would consider coming back to try different flavors.

Trying to clean out my freezer Turkey pot pie with cranberry sauce 5/5 This has been in my freezer since Nov? I was supposed to bake it best by 5/25, but I'm a bit shy of the date lol regardless, it tastes great. Air fried it at 350f for 30-40 min or so. Turkey is moist with a bit of texture so it doesn't feel like you're eating limp poultry. There's corn, potatoes, celery, carrots, a touch of rosemary that isn't overly creamy with the roux mixture. Cranberry sauce has a teensy bit of cinnamon and leans more sweet than tart. Crust is flakey and buttery. Not as crunchy as other spots, but solid for a pie crust. It was $11 or $12? Not bad to have this in the freezer long term. Two people can split one for a hefty snack or you can eat a whole one and potentially fall asleep.

I ordered the steak and eggs, berries and cream Matcha, and the cookie dough banana bread. My total was about $45. Steak & eggs: 8/10; these portions were big and perfect. The steak had flavor. Tater tots were crispy. Sourdough bread was soft but crunchy on the outside. Eggs were over easy. Berries & cream matcha: 8.5/10; I actually really enjoyed this Matcha. Not sure why it came in a smaller cup than what my cousin ordered, but maybe because I said light ice? I think that is something that should have been mentioned to me that I would get a smaller cup. Otherwise, I liked this matcha a lot. Cookie dough Banana bread: 9/10; this was so good, so soft, so fresh. The only thing I wish is that I would be able to taste more of the cookie dough. I was a bit confused where the cookie dough was at in this banana bread. There were times where I did taste it, but I wasn't too sure. However, it did have lots of flavor and I would probably get the banana bread alone. Overall, I would return. Inside is a café inspired by natural accents with an industrial flair giving a rustic character with modern style. The vibe inside is chill with plenty of seating for groups or singles. They have an expansive list of coffee, tea, and lattes with several modifiers to choose from. To accompany your drink the menu provides options of sandwiches, bagels, and a variety of pastries. I had the smoked salmon bagel, featuring delicate slices of salmon layered over cream cheese spread, topped with capers and fresh chives. This is my go to for coffee houses that offer it. The bagel exceeded my expectations and I believe the chive's subtle flavor complemented the smoked salmon really well. For drinks we tried the chai and hot chocolate. The iced chai latte was smooth and not too sweet with a dusting of cinnamon on top, but I would rate it average in taste. The hot chocolate was deliciously velvety and detailed beautifully. I would rate it a five out of five! The difference at this coffee shop is that you can choose from a range of seating arrangements and have an opportunity to support the business by picking up clothing, a bag of coffee or other merchandise. The con for this coffee shop is that the beverages are somewhat undersized relative to the price point. In addition, the customer service experience fell short. We were greeted upon entering, but it was unclear where customers should retrieve their order or whether orders numbers were called out. With that said, those looking for a quiet morning coffee or a cozy place to catch up with friends, this spot can accommodate.

This location is not as busy as Buena Park one which is nice and they have plenty of parking in a plaza. Drink came out pretty fast and South is friendly and nice to accommodate my customs. I love the aesthetic of the place in general with wood color. Can't wait to come back!

It's been here a while, which as probably helped, and it doesn't fall into that design trap of being overly minimal or whatever. It's warm and inviting, but at the same time, it's not a place I would consistently stay at for my personal taste. I feel like because it's well-established, that's not a problem. They've got plenty of "fun" drinks, which is what they're known for, to me. I often come by for a banana-based drink, whether it be matcha or coffee. I enjoy how they don't take themselves so seriously for a 3rd wave specialty spot. It's easier to get in and get out without having to feel like you're making a decision that you'll be getting judged for, you know? Anyways, the coffee I had was excellent, and it helped me power through my work day. Is there anything else you need?

They offer a few seasonal items and a standard menu of lattes, teas, etc. Today I ordered the morning melt and the coconut latte. The coconut latte is delish and tastes like summer. The morning melt is also really good. So many flavors from the egg, turkey, and arugula. Next time I'll opt for the sauce on the side and put a little less so it's not so drippy. Still super tasty! Thanks for providing a relaxing vibe :)

Despite being relatively close to two major colleges - OCC and UCI - this place wasn't as crowded as you'd imagine it would be. They serve coffee, matcha, breakfast foods like breakfast burritos, protein bowls, avocado toasts - but I didn't pick anything to eat since I already had lunch. I shared with the barista that it was my first time here, and he asked what type of drink I was looking for. I told him something iced and caffeinated - and he mentioned his favorite was the Honey Cinnamon Latte - which I opted for - iced, with oat milk. Total was $8.50 including tip. My iced Honey Cinnamon Latte was yummy, creamy, and fantastic! With the oat milk substitute, it sorta tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch in liquid coffee form. It wasn't overly sweet, definitely had a nice kick to it - love this recommendation by the barista! I checked out the rest of the space and used their restroom to wash my hands - it's really a neat space here. Lots of seating. Lots of space. There's an adjacent room that's connected to the cafe called "Flow Space" - which is utilized for small popups and arts & crafts. Neat spot for smaller community members to showcase their wares. Some of the other reviews mentioned no a/c - which had me worried considering we were having a bit of a heatwave lately - but to my pleasant surprise, A/C was on and cold! It was a great escape from the heat. Free wifi - fast enough for a zoom call if you need to hop into one - my speedtest reported download speeds of 17.5MB/s Restroom is clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking - of course, I stopped by a little after 2pm, so already avoiding the tail end of the lunch rush. Only downside is they close kinda early - 4pm - but open up at 7am. Great spot! Will probably be my go-to considering there's ample workspace, plenty of parking, less crowded than other coffee spots in the immediate area. I'm curious to try their matcha the next time I'm here, as well as possibly their breakfast burritos, since photos for that looks delicious.

The drinks were great and I didn't have to wait on them too long. I got a shakerato and a matcha latte and they were both good. You also get a little discount if you're walking, biking, or boarding to the shop and getting something. The only negative I have to say is that I think a cycling club stages from here on the weekend so the parking lot does get busy inside and out. Overall, I'd recommend this place and will return again.

This year specifically, I've noticed a couple of things that have made my experience go severely downhill. I've visited about five times, expecting to grab my favorite toast of theirs that I've had for years (Pan Con Tomate) and they have been out consistently back to back of that item. I've literally tried 3 separate times and been told they simply ran out of tomatoes. If it's that inconsistent, I'd hope they'd take it off their menu and post it as a special. But what bothers me the most is that the service is so nonchalant that it comes off as rude. No greeting, smile, positive energy.. giving off a vibe that they'd rather be anywhere else than behind the coffee bar. Sad to see the experience decline as it's been a favorite of mine and somewhere i always have hyped up to friends. Hopefully things pick up.
