The barista was super nice and informed me that the cinnamon bun latte was made with a syrup that was part of a collab. It was popular that they kept the collab. He also told me that all of their lattes are designed for oat milk. The latte was good; not too sweet and not too hot (temperature wise). But I wasn't crazy about it. There are only 3 two person tables so not much room. We were lucky to get a table! read more

Now that's a cool ,fine , fun , quality place ! Excellent variety of new all food (and not just) items . You will find fantastic granola , jams , bars , snacks ,drinks etc . This store carries every brand that you see sending PR to Instagram influencers. It's fun packaging galore and almost seems like a movie set with shelves stocked with fake products. The coffee shop inside was delicious and we had fun talking to the baristas. I had the salted pistachio matcha and it was perfect. Not too sweet or salty or bitter, nice pick me up for the middle of the day. I fear that a $8 matcha is standard, not even just in NYC but everywhere now. This is absolutely my favorite overpriced store of random things you don't need but want to try anyways. They also have the crazy fad foods you can't find anywhere else - like Khloe Kardashian's popcorn or Café Panna's ice cream. They also have an espresso bar and a bathroom if you ask. Lovely staff. Very cute atmosphere. They even have a pet section. Definitely worth at least stopping in. read more

We picked up a few of the chip options - they were alright but definitely tasted "healthy". Like the name implies, this place kinda just pops up out of nowhere as you're walking around the neighborhood. Okay at first I was like why is the Yelp rating so low it's can't possibly be that bad and now I'm like yup okay I get it. I was so excited to try the strawberry sando which was made with the famous EXPENSIVE AS HELL Oishii strawberries all the way from Japan and supposedly the best strawberries money can buy. Do not be baited like me. Skip this one. First disappointment, the sando was twelve dollars and TINY. It was served straight out the fridge and had to be ordered with an employee. The second disappointment was how TERRIBLE the bread was. It was dry and thick and stiff. It literally tasted like regular white bread that had been sitting on a grocery store's shelf well past the sell by date. To be fair, I'm sure stale bread would've been better than this bread. This sando literally made me mad at the audacity of it being called a strawberry sando. There was also something almost bitter about the cream???? I couldn't quite place it. There was maple syrup used in the cream but I don't think that was causing the odd taste. Even in letting the sando sit out for a bit in the hopes of softening the bread did not help in the least. Stopped in here to finally check it out as it's been on my radar for a while. It's a very cute store with lots of great brands and novelty items to check out. They have everything from home goods to fridge and pantry items. I ended up getting a bag of gummy candy and a pretzel Rice Krispie treat. The Rice Krispie treat was extremely hard to bite into, but pretty good overall. The 130+ brands are on rotation and a large majority of them are independently owned by women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ founders. I picked up some dark chocolate dried mango from Señor Mango and some vegan Sicilian ragu with fusilli from Lazy Food Co. They also have a cafe in the store featuring Librae Bakery goods and Chamberlain coffee. Pop Up Grocer carries the latest brands, however their downfall like any other overpriced supermarket is that their in house goods are overpriced and not good. I ordered their strawberry matcha latte and it was a good lesson learned that just because a business offers matcha, doesn't mean it's done properly. The matcha was faint and gritty, not mixed through and not surprisingly from Chamberlian Coffee, and the strawberry milk mixed from strawberry syrup and Bored Cow milk. I would caution against ordering their own made up menu items, but instead stop by here to check out niche brands that haven't made it to Whole Foods yet. read more
