I went to get a sandwich yesterday and I love Italian sandwiches and I've never had one so good people may say that it's a little pricey, but every bite is worth it if you think about it, you go to a fast food place you spend at least $16 on terrible food. We love their Margherita pizza (including my extremely picky toddler). My husband has also gotten the chicken parm sandwich which was incredible. Ordered a Five Stars sandwich to try this place out. The sandwich ingredients were delicious, however the bread leaves a lot to be desired. The focaccia style bread pieces were dense and chewy. The bread also did not have any developed flavor, I think they need to ferment the dough in the fridge for a day before baking and proof it a bit longer. For me, the bread makes the sandwich and this bread falls way short. For comparison, this bread was slightly less chewy than the sandwich bread at Bay Cities, but Bay Cities bread has better flavor. read more

I really wanted to love this place and support a new business in Simi but it has fallen short for me. First the entrance is such a cluster, there is no room for more a few people, making it extremely hard for people to come in and out, or even stand in line. It feels like there was no thought put into the flow of traffic for customers. Also it is worth noting that they only take credit card, no cash is accepted, which isn't a dealbreaker, but it is frustrating when I came with cash. As for food, I got the chopped salad for $20 since I added crispy pancetta. Sadly I was disappointed with my meal, it had way too much dressing so basically my salad was soggy and the added pancetta for $3 was nothing special. The pancetta felt like a slice of bacon cut into a few pieces on top of the soggy salad. Another thing to mention is they bring you your food but you have to grab your own utensils and napkins. I'm sorry but for the price tag I think they should be bringing that along with your food. On a positive note they made it look very nice inside and out with lots of seating. I am willing to get this place one more shot and try one of their sandwiches. read more

The owner's wife went around to all the tables to ensure everything was going well and that their clients were happy. They have a nice patio with heaters and a relaxing ambiance. We've been looking forward to this place opening in town, and we're so happy we finally got to try it. The food was delicious! We ordered the Bambino and the Pollo Parm, and both sandwiches were very good. Definitely worth the wait. It is a smaller location and can get busy getting in and out of the doors, but let's be real it's a new restaurant in town, so that's expected. Overall, the service was good, but one particular girl really stood out to us, Peyton. My glass of wine tipped over when my little one accidentally moved her hand, and Peyton was so sweet and kind to offer me another. It's not just that she replaced the wine that made me want to mention her, but how genuine and warm she was. She smiled at everyone walking through the doors. I'll also note that it was incredibly busy, and we did have a long wait for our food. However, watching the staff in the back stay calm (while moving as fast as possible) during the lunch rush truly showed the love and effort they're putting into this place. One of the many things we loved most is knowing it's a family-owned restaurant. You can truly feel the heart behind it. We look forward to coming back and trying more from the menu! Best gluten free pizza!!!. We tried to order a gluten free sandwich as well but we were notified that they did not have the gluten free bread today. DH got the sandwich with regular bread. He said it was delicious. If their bread is as good as the pizza I will be very happy. But I will definitely be coming back for the pizza. read more

I had heard about this place being compared to Caveretta in Canoga Park, my most favorite Italian deli. We don't have a deli in Simi so I drove clear across town for a Italian cold cut sandwich. Though my Paninii was good, it wasn't Cavertta. Complete different ball of wax! Though, I may try eating in & enjoying a glass of wine from their beautiful wine list. read more

We were so excited to try this place out! Mixed reviews we heard so we had to try it out ourselves. The place is really adorable and really cute, but we were hoping for more of an Italian deli experience. The menu was interesting, a lot of items with a lot of extras. We settled on the chicken parm sandwich, chopped salad and margarita pizza. The chicken parm sandwich was good....not much taste with the sauce, and it was just ok. The salad was so oily. I asked for some vinegar to balance it out and they gave me more dressing that was so over the top oil based and had absolutely no flavor. The pizza was the better part of the meal, but not sure why it was a margarita pizza, as it was just a cheese pizza with a few pieces of basil on it. For not having much flavor in the sauce or most of the menu items, it was extremely expensive. Drinks are just sodas or waters from the marketplace, or wine or beer. It was really chaotic in there with kids running around, even though it wasn't all the crowded. Nice place, hope it does well, but we will for sure venture out to San Fernando Valley for our Italian Deli needs unfortunatly. read more

I ordered the Mortazza--Mortadella, stracciatella, toasted pistachio, arugula and salsa rossa. It was good, don't get me wrong, however, I must say the stracciatella was absolutely tasteless. Provolone would have been so much better! That said, seriously nearly $25.00 for this sandwich and a bottled iced tea? I don't think so! For that high of a price I expect a much bigger sandwich. At Cavaretta's $12.50 will get you the same size sandwich, so while it's very high-priced, the sandwich was still pretty tasty.  The service was great and very fast for the time of day I was in, noon. I'd give them another chance. But they've got to change a couple of things, first, seriously, no cash! Second, lower that price point a bit for what they're serving. The bread was outstanding! They should consider using provolone on this sandwich and rather then toasted pistachio's I think a pistachio cream would work much better. Just my thoughts. Ordered take out of 2 Farro salads. The menu says grilled vegetables with celery, carrot, peas, zucchini, toasted Farro, arugula, and lemon dressing. What we received was no grilled vegetables at all, but chopped raw vegetables in little cubes with no dressing. Tried calling to let them know, phone number goes to voicemail that hasn't been set up yet. If you order this to go, check it before you leave. read more

We came in to try a few different items from the menu. The sandwiches were big enough to share. We got the Bambino sandwich, Ciao Down sandwich, Pollo Parm sandwich, and the Porcellino Chop salad. Everything tasted great! This fed 5 of us no problem. I bought a few things from their grocery deli and we brought it all home to try. They have a great variety of Italian foods.
