Somethings never change, like Porkys Pizza...and the staff of Porkys Pizza. When I lived at home my family always ordered pizza here and last night I decided to re-try it out. To my astonishment some guy I went to high school with was STILL working..and had been working there since I was about 16! Cringing at the thought of having one of those " So what are you up to now ?" conversations or awkward silences I sent my boyfriend in to retrieve our pizza. Pick up or Delivery only .. they are strictly business. My boyfriend and I are creatures of habit.. I venture to say we've ordered pepperoni and pineapple pizza from at least 4 other pizza places within a 5-10 min radius. Porkeys has been least pleasing one...not bad..just meh. If this place were called Porky's Garlic Knots I would give them a solid 5 stars for perfecting there craft! I could eat a bucket of them no problem! The garlic knots are to die for..or to die from, they're smothers in butter. However, to semi-quote the great Mozzer, to die by there side would be a heavenly way to die. A medium 2 topping pizza and an order of garlic knots was about 17$ which is a pretty good deal. Not the BEST pizza ...but cheap...and I like that! read more

I've ordered a-lot of pizza from the place over the last two years. However my last experience made sure I will never order from the business again. Ordered a pizza, they brought the wrong one. Sent it back and told them to not charge me, I'll go to Del Taco. They charged me anyway. Called couple days later with my bank on the other line and asked why? "opps are mistake", we will refund you.... refund never came. Had to call both bank and porky's back a after 7 business day. Talked to Cameron the manger (who incorrectly sent out the wrong pizza and charged me for it) informed me that they billed me because I was to get a free pizza next time I ordered... WTF That is not a free pizza, You don't charge someone for something they never received and say we got you next time. This sort of thought process scares me. Took me 5 phone calls(both bank and porkys) with 50 minutes of phone time over 2+ weeks to get my money back for something I never received, nor did I sign the merchant copy of the bill. So yea if you want to deal with that kind of headache, go for it. read more

I'm not sure how to rate them I like their food and the service was so nice....at first. We got there a bit early for our take out order. We purchased one of their combo meals that came with pizza, salad, wings and a 2 liter bottle of soda. Apparently it is a very popular order and we watched quite a few of combos go out the door. Two times we watched the same order go out the door when the people who ordered did so after us. We placed our order, waited 10 minutes to drive over and figured we'd be able to pick our order up not too long after we got there. When we arrived we were greeted by two super friendly guys tossing pizzas and then someone came up and went over our order, quoted us 10 more minutes we paid and sat down. 45 minutes later a manager came out to tell us that they had miscounted the wings and we'd have to wait 15 more minutes for new ones to be made, but not to worry because they separated them into 2 pans to hopefully cook them faster. So our pizza was ready and had been sitting in a warming bag while they all discussed how to tell us about their mess. I've worked in lots of restaurants so I don't appreciate being kept waiting and letting my food get cold just because you don't know how to tell us what happened. Then tell us you're going to make us a crappy version of the wings you messed up. At this point we were starving and I didn't want my already soggy pizza to keep getting colder. In my eyes if we were going to wait that long they should have just remade our entire order so everything would be hot and ready. Because we couldn't wait any longer she made some note in the computer promising us wings on our next order.....lets hope they keep that end of the deal because i've been scared to go back. Long story short our pizza, though cold was pretty good. The salad was delicious so I'd like to go back and if we didn't have such a bad ending to our experience I would have been back many times. I just can't fathom spending over 30 bucks for cold pizza and no wings....which she did not discount our order for. Porky's I sure hope you get you s**t together for my next order. read more

Food is good, service is good. My ONLY gripe is with their Porky's Special pizza. The veggie toppings are raw and not baked into the pizza. When you go to grab a slice all the toppings fall off and end up on the pizza box. So my third time ordering this pizza (last night), I asked if they can bake my toppings in and they did, but not long enough. The veggies on the edges we're cooked, but everything in the center was raw n fell off the slice. I had to put under my broiler for 5 minutes with extra cheese so the veggies could cook and adhere to the pizza. Porky's please fix this! read more

After living in the area for 4 months and seeing the porky's delivery truck, I figured I needed to try it. Plus the reviews seemed pretty good. I ordered for delivery, it was 9pm and didn't feel like going out. I'm too a creature of habit. I ordered a large mushroom, pepperoni and sausage pizza with an order of the Porky's Garlic Knots. After about 40 mins, standard delivery time, it arrived. Pizza wasn't that hot, but I guess cause it was delevery, but it was good. Their crust was great, not hard, not burnt, but cooked perfectly. The knots were delivered in a brown paper bag that was soaked in grease. Mostly butter. But they were good! Had a great buttery, garlic taste to it and marinera dipping sauce on the side. But careful, I don't think your arteries would appreciate all that butter! read more

We get Porky's delivered to work every Tuesday and even then I enjoy getting it at home every once and a while. It's a consistently good, semi-greasy, but otherwise average pizza. The grease is a bit overkill but at least it's not as disgusting as what pours out of a Pizza Hut pizza. While the cheese is good, it's a bit chewy and commonly pulls itself completely off the pizza when taking a bite. This forces you to eat it with two hands so that you can hold down the cheese with one to prevent it from sliding off. This makes the eating experience considerably more messy, but no less delicious. Customer service is obviously important to them, which earned them an extra star. We routinely receive free "extras" at work, probably because we buy a ton (~7) pizzas weekly, like garlic knots or buffalo wings. The employees are very friendly over the phone, and I was given a coupon discount when ordering for home delivery even when I didn't have a coupon or ask for any sort of discount. That's definitely nice. The garlic knots are very tasty but not super special. They're incredibly greasy as most are, but lack the copious amounts of butter that other restaurants include, which is likely a factor in their slight lack of flavor and fattening power. That's a good thing for some, I would imagine. For the taste, quality, and service, the pizza is definitely pretty cheap. A bit more expensive than the bigger chains, but cheaper than other local pizzerias. read more

We give this place 5 stars for service alone. They are a take-out business (with delivery) and when my husband went to pick it up, the manager, Aubrey, was apologizing that our pizza had been damaged while it was coming out of the oven (my husband said it looked fine). She had them make up a new pizza and charged us $5 less, which was really unnecessary. We always order the Porky's Special, which is pretty much everything on it, and the toppings are always fresh and crunchy, not melded into the cheese. The crust is nice and crisp. We haven't ordered any other pizzas there but I'm sure they're all just as satisfying. Maybe minus .75 star for this and then minus .25 star for an amlost $4 delivery charge when I was already paying over 22$ for a medium pizza and 7.5 wings. With tip it was over 30...still good pizza but that damned broken wing was out of hand guys. If nothing else but for the sharp end because it probably still had about 70% of the meat irrespective of the missing piece that was broken off. Over all DO IT. Super tasty pizza and if you have a few folks to feed, the "feast" is a great deal at 34$ for xl pizza, wings, salad, knots and 2l soda (I think). Thanks porkys. Well, last night I ordered pizza from Porky's and will NEVER make that mistake again! #1 they were 30 minutes late (total wait time of an hour and a half)!!! #2 they screwed up my order #3 for the hat trick- the pizza was HORRIBLE!! Delivered cold!!!! Bad crust, bland sauce, poor quality everything An old leather shoe covered in tomato paste would have been better. I have been a frequent customer of Porkys for many years a their various locations. Tonight I had an order for delivery at the Placentia location and they forgot to include the 2 liter drink with the feast. This was a delivery order that I paid extra for along with a tip. I drove to their store to get the drink and all I received from two of their workers was "sorry for the inconvenience, you can go grab your drink." It was pretty poor service. There was not one pepperoni on this pizza ;-( We added the advertised 'Cheese Blanket' described as "a delicious layer of mozzarella cheese, fresh garlic,and basil blanketed over your favorite toppings and cooked to perfection. Guaranteed to put any pizza over the top with flavor." I will tell you this is absolutely FALSE ADVERTISEMENT, there is no blanket of cheese, it was barely even noticeable that any cheese at all was added, there was zero garlic or garlic flavor, the basil is not fresh (dried small flakes from a shaker). This place has become a regular for my family. The people working there always seem to be having a great time and are a wonderfully eclectic bunch. They go out of the way to make sure you have everything you want. For example, I made a mistake when ordering online and they gave me exactly what was on the order. It wasn't right, but it was absolutely my fault and not theirs. I didn't find this out until I called to see what happened to my order (are which point my egregious mistake was pointed out to me). So I fixed it by ordering another pizza and went to pick it up. To my surprise, they did not charge me for the additional pizza despite it being no mistake on their part. That's how you treat people. I have been going to Porkys Pizza for the past 5 years and 4 out of those 5 years I have lived in the same house. I go to place an order today and the guy says ok it will be ready in 45 mins. About 10 mins later they call back saying that they can not deliver because I am out of their delivery range. I speak to the manager Jake who is completely unprofessional and unapologetic about it. He says that he can not do anything about it and that is their policy. But yet I have been getting their food delivered to this house for 4 years!!? He said that I "slipped through the cracks." He didn't even offer to deliver this one or apologize that there may be a new policy. He just said I can pick it up. He was extremely rude and just kept repeating there was nothing he could do.
