Don't let his age fool you because he is very up on car himself and actually owns 2. He does know his business and works for you very hard to get the right car and price for you. Along with Sigve Fiedle the Porsche Sales manager they also worked just as hard to get a good fair price for my 2017 so I could get in a 2023 with less than 5500 miles and loaded with everything almost on it you could ask for! Brandon Elliott got involved also to help with the process and that is how much this dealership will go for their customers to see that they are happy. The whole Porsche family gets involved. I visited Porsche Beaverton around the spring of 2018. The sales person was very helpful. I fell in love with the Porsche Panamera, but realized the sticker price on a brand new one could not be justified. So I began my search for a used Porsche Panamera. I found the perfect Panamera September, 2018 buying a 2014 Panamera 4 from a different local dealership with less than 16,000 miles. This truly was a rare find. I bought the extended warranty since it was 4 years old, and under 16,000 miles on it. Immediately I scheduled an appointment for service at Porsche Beaverton. Ian explained even with the low mileage the routine maintenance has to be done for warranty purposes annually and was due for the 40,000 service and advised it would cost roughly $2,000. When I brought my car in Ian was very thorough and told me he had great news. The car had been recently serviced at their dealership January, 2018. As he continue to search the records he found the car was also originally purchased from them and they had all the service records. Ian continued to give me even better news by telling me it already had the 40,000 service and the cost would only be $350.00. The news just keep getting better as he told me the car was still under the factory warranty for about another month. This was my first experience there and could only compare with BMW and was blown away by the positive vast difference. The service bay was immaculate and the entire staff very friendly. They have your loaner car ready right outside the bay in a covered area. Three weeks after purchasing the car there was an issue with the hatch. I brought the car back to Porsche Beaverton, they found the error and it was all covered under the factory warranty. They also offer free car washes and advise to give them notice. I have taken advantage of this a couple times texting Ian and he has always been efficient in responding immediately. The waiting area is clean, quiet and very relaxing. I am obsessed with businesses being clean, and will say Porsche Beaverton has set the bar in the way every customer should experience customer service, friendliness, and cleanliness. My late husband had a 993 TT that he loved. He knew it inside and out. When he had a problem with it, he took it to Porsche Beaverton and spoke to the technician about the symptoms and what he thought was the problem. They always came through. There was one time an intermittent problem baffled him and a technician specializing in older Porsches isolated the problem that had something to do with the electrical wiring for the car phone, a novelty in the car for the time. When he was diagnosed with a terminal illness, Porsche let us know they cared. And, they just sent me a lovely bouquet in remembrance. I live in Reno, Nevada, and I was on the prowl to make a shiny, new-to-me Porsche 987 Cayman S my own! Thanks to these little buggers being whatever the opposite of "ubiquitous" is (um, sorta "rare", I guess...?), I found it necessary to get a bit creative and expand my search for a low-mileage, manual Cayman S beyond the scope of this "biggest little city", and indeed, the state of Nevada itself. My perusing of the World Wide Web tumultuously bounced me from brick-&-mortar dealership, to new-fangled online solution, and back and forth, and so on, and so on... FINALLY, I found exactly what I was looking for thanks to a thorough posting on Edmunds.com that led me to the promise land that is Porsche Beaverton. **Queue rejoiceful choir music.** I acted quickly (as a couple of other opportunities at different dealerships had been purchased out from under me), and was put in touch with Luke Trelease - my salesperson and advocate from start to finish. This being a Porsche dealership that deals - ya know - an upscale product, mentioning attributes like a low-pressure sales environment and professionalism should pretty much go without saying, however, I'll say it anyway. It was a pleasure working with Luke! No pressure, always responsive, helpful, honest, [insert other complementary adjectives here]. Of course, I was a bit nervous about purchasing a used car pretty much sight unseen, but Luke was excellent about giving me an honest rundown of the (very, very few) minor scars the car had accumulated over the years. I have always had a good experience with them doing maintenance and repairs on my 996 Carrera 4. Not once did I have to take my car back for the same repair. The service staff were always very polite and acknowledged me by my fist name when I walked in the door. You may be wondering why the four stars... It's their loner cars. You bring in a high end car for repair, and you end up driving a bargain basement rental car from an agency. In all the times I have been there, not once have I been given a Porsche as a loaner. I would have been happy if they lent me a car from their sister Audi dealership. ANYTHING, even an A3. The people than own Porsches enjoy driving and being given a Toyota Camry or Chrysler something a rather just won't cut it. I would think for a $3500 clutch job they could do better. I have not had my Porsche for some time now, so it is possible that they have changed this. read more

I flew from LA to Portland to purchase a vehicle that I found on eBay. I'm in the Porsche industry, so I planned to fly out, purchase the vehicle, drive it to the nearest Porsche dealer, have it inspected their, fly back to LA, and have my transport company pick it up from the Porsche dealership and deliver it to us in LA. The nearest Porsche dealership I found in Portland was Beaverton Porsche. I called them to make arrangements, Ian in service took my call, was very helpful and friendly and made an appointment the same day, for me to bring the car in. After I purchased the vehicle, I filled the tank, bought a iPhone charger cord and headed to Beaverton Porsche. When I got their, i saw that it was a pretty large dealership. I pulled in, saw the service sign and drove up to their service garage. Someone quickly greeted me, and asked him they could help. I said I had an appointment to drop off the car for an inspection with Ian. He said Ian wasn't there, however said Nate, a service advisor could help me and escorted me to his desk. Nate was very friendly and helpful. I explained to him that Ian made an appointment for me. He took down my information, went to the vehicle and took its information, pulled up the vehicle's history in their records and gave me its history background. I explained to him that Ian was going to arrange to have the vehicle inspected and that my transport company was going to come and pick up the vehicle after the inspection. He told me everything was all set. I asked if I was to be given any documents or recipe to show I dropped off the car with them, he said no, which was a bit odd to me, he took my email address, so I figured he was going to email it to me, they are a certified and authorization Porsche dealership, after all. So then I asked him to guide me to their parts department, and he actually got up and escorted me to the parts department and got a parts representative to come out and answer any questions I may have. I asked a question about an item and he didn't know 100%, so he called another representative, which was very knowledgeable and answered my question. I then went back to the service department and the original person who greeted me, walked me over to a receptionist, who called me a complimentary Uber to drive me back to my hotel, which was over 20 minutes away, which was very nice. Overall, Beaverton Porsche, is a very nice and clean dealership and the friendly, helpful service was very refreshing. My experience with Porsche dealerships back in LA, if you don't know them personally, tent to be snooty and cold. read more

First, I just want to say that this review is only for their online parts department. They have great prices but it's not worth dealing the horrible customer service. Trying to get a response to an email is an exercise in futility. God help you if there is a problem with your order. Called 3 days straight couldn't get to the parts department, I would be on the phone over 15 minutes at a time and I press 2 for parts, they kept hanging up, I tried that more than 10 times and got hung up on, never reached anyone in 3 days of attempts, this place is a joke and very poorly represents a car I used to like. Porsche Beaverton / Sunset Porsche Used to be a great company for parts Fast service, great prices and good inventory. I used them for over 6 years without one complaint...... but something has changed. Now You can not talk to anyone on the phone. You can leave a message but no one returns your call. You can email them but no one responds. It took a week but after multiple attempts and no response I had to cancel the online order and take my business to AutoHausAZ. It wasn't a large order, $400, but still would have hoped for some type of reply. AutoHausAZ had the parts and shipped in 2 days. Sorry to report but Beaverton has gone to the dogs. Way to frustrating and a waste of time to deal with a company that just doesn't care. My recommendation to the General Manager at Beaverton. Log onto ZipRecruiter.com hire the first warm blooded, breathing applicant you can find and make them the new manager for Customer Service. They can't be any worse than the one you have. read more

I called their service department a while back to get a code for my stereo since the battery had died out. The service person told me how to retrieve the necessary info from the stereo in order for him to give me the code. Once I got the info I emailed it to their service department and within minutes Ian replied with the correct stereo code. To me this is service at its finest. ***It has taken me a while to write this review, but after recently discussing our car buying experience with friends and reliving our humiliation at this dealership, I have decided to leave this. If this is a different operation than Sunset Porsche in late 2016, then please let me know and I will adjust this as appropriate*** In December 2016, my wife and I, a young couple, were shopping for an SUV. We had been to the Jaguar, BMW, Lexus, and Mazda dealerships thus far and had been treated with respect. However, this all changed when we set foot in Sunset Porsche. We called ahead to see and test drive the Macan S and Cayenne, but we were snubbed after we arrived. The salesperson that was assisting us was high on pretentiousness and when we asked to see the vehicles, he initially ignored us and continued ranting about random unnecessary information. After repeating our request he literally walked us out, without keys, to look at the exterior of the vehicles to then pontificate about how amazing they are. When we requested to see the interior (quite the extreme request, right?) he glared at us, loudly sighed, and then slowly walked back inside to find the keys. After seeing the vehicles (which he rushed us out of), we were quite defeated and asked about a test drive, a request which he ignored. Subsequently, we left, defeated. I believe he was prejudiced against us because of our age (mid 20s) and appearance (basic street clothes). We've never been this humiliated at a dealership in our lives (this was our 3rd new vehicle purchase, collectively). Within a couple weeks of our visit we purchased a new 2017 BMW X5. Due to this interaction, Sunset Porsche lost what could have been an easy lifelong customer and sullied their brand's name. When looking for our next sports car, we will unfortunately look elsewhere (this is painful coming from someone who has placed the Cayman on a pedestal for much of his life). read more

Purchased my Porsche from this dealer as well as used for service. Most recent episode was for major warranty service related to an oil leak. Reasonable time to complete repairs. Low rating is due to vehicle fluids not checked before car was returned. Oil down a quart, coolant was .5 gal under prompting a "stop car immediately" message while I am on the freeway. Miscues like this are alarming and I have no confidence in the quality of Porsche Beaverton's service department. Avoid if possible. read more

I had excellent experiences in online scheduling, ease of entering facility, and loaner car were all above expectations. My service advisor Nate was polite and professional. He took the time to carefully listen to all concerns, make necessary phone calls and return my car back to me same day which was impressive! I live down near Corvallis so same day service was nice with not having to make a second trip to Portland. Before I bought my totally awesome and fun 2017 CPO Porsche Macan, I had previously/briefly owned a 2017 CPO BMX x1. The BMW must have been haunted as it seemed to be plagued by mystery issues from day one. And unfortunately, their service department could not remedy them. Not to mention, I drive a lot the Central Oregon and the BMW is not even close to the Macan in comfort. When I found the Macan online, I couldn't wait to test drive it and the price was phenomenal given the fact that it is, after all, a Porsche! Once we drove it, we were completely won over. We worked with Nick Roseta and he could not have been more helpful. He is a very personable and knowledgeable young man. After CarMax lowballed us on my BMW, I decided to see what Nick could do. He delivered. He gave us the actual fair, trade-in market value and we drove the Macan home. The entire experience was seamless from beginning to end. After some time on their web site finding what I thought I needed, I called and spoke to Sean. Thumbs up with his assistance! He helped to verify I was ordering the correct 991/911 PSE and PSE Console Switch Assy as I was planning to convert from the standard exhaust to PSE. Being the only certified dealership in the area, Sunset had my expectations low on service, professionalism, fairness, etc. However, they have performed in a manner consistent with a dealership trying to keep loyal customers in an environment with several competitors... and I have noticed and am very appreciative of that. They are not of their word. Find yourself another dealership. The first time a leased a car from them was fine. But the 2nd time, they misquoted the price by over $3000, and of course, it was their word over mine, and guess who lost. And since I was purchasing this car over the phone, they told me the wrong features of the car. I never would have traded my old one in, if I had known either of these things. I am writing to retract my previous post regarding Sunset Imports, also known as Porsche Beaverton. After writing about my experience with this dealership last month, I received a call from Peter Young, the Operations Director at Sunset Imports. Peter is in charge of operations for the dealership and Kyle McLean and Larry Wendell's boss. Unlike Larry and Kyle, Peter immediately acknowledged my issues and admitted the dealership made a mistake in the way my issues were handled by his General Manager, Larry Wendell. Peter listened to the recordings of the phone conversations between me and the dealership, read the emails between us and quickly realized the dealership did not manage this situation properly. Clearly my negative impressions of Porsche Beaverton were the work of one man, Larry Wendell and his actions do not reflect either the staff nor the organization at Porsche Beaverton. After discussing this issue with Peter at length, it appears there was an honest mistake made and as such, Peter was anxious and willing to resolve this to my satisfaction. Even his salesperson Kyle McLean, was likely only following orders from his boss Larry, and was not responsible for how this issue was handled. Mr. Young and I have come to a fair and reasonable agreement regarding the vehicle I purchased from them, and I am 100% satisfied with the resolution. I commend the actions of Peter Young and appreciate his honesty and integrity in dealing with this matter. While I would still recommend avoiding Larry Wendell at all costs, I highly recommend Peter Young and the rest of the folks at Porsche Beaverton. One bad apple does not in fact spoil the whole barrel. I intend to give this dealership all my business in the future, thanks to the efforts and actions of Peter Young. I hope ownership recognizes the outstanding effort of Peter Young in working to resolve this issue. If I were the owner of Porsche Beaverton, Peter would receive a raise and a promotion. This was a very stressful and difficult situation for me and my wife which could have spiraled out of control. Peter did everything in his power to resolve my issues and make it right.
