Mason at Porsche Irvine told me they would pay top dollar for my used Porsche Cayenne GTS with 103,750 miles on it. After I came in they lowballed me from $19,000 to $9,000. They said I had a coolant leak in my head gasket. I bought this car here in 2018 and had this same issue in 2019 when my coolant leaked all over my garage floor but thankfully I bought it as a CPO and everything was covered. I haven't seen any leaks in my garage floor but I guess the leak is supposedly still there and now they are using it to try to lowball me. This is a report of consumer fraud. The people at Porsche, Irvine are dishonest and it needs to be known that they are scammers. They are withholding money from me after a mutually agreed upon vehicle return (I have documentation) after an inspection that revealed that a used car that I had begun to purchase had body damage and a C1022-14 power source failure for the pump motor. I did not take delivery of the vehicle and a salesperson brought the vehicle to a trusted mechanic to check the accuracy of the CARFAX. Unfortunately, after inspection, I found out that the dealership either did not do a thorough inspection of the car (unlikely), or knew of the body damage (likely), and yet did not report it to CARFAX or disclose this information to me. Additionally, the car was transferred to Porsche Irvine with official DMV documentation with a date of 8/10/25 stating that Porsche is the owner of the vehicle and yet on 8/19/2025 there was a new bank loan for the same car, in my name? I don't know why I have a loan for a car that belongs to Porsche, Irvine. The car had already been transferred back to the dealership on the same date of the inspection. I do not have this car and have never taken delivery of this car and yet Porsche Irvine is withholding money from both me, and the bank. I have been told on multiple occasions that the money will be returned to me and so I have visited the dealership many times to pick up the check that I was told would be available. It was only last Friday, August 22, that I learned of the loan which was quite a shock given that Porsche Irvine has owned the car since early August. I was told on Friday, August 22, the same day I found out about the loan, that they would overnight a check to the bank for the 'loan' and yet this has not happened and it is already Wednesday, August 27. I have been told that they will have my check on multiple occasions which include August 15, August 18, August 25, and a few other dates, two of which were before there was even a loan. While the check has not been sent to the bank, the bank has been contacted by Porsche Irvine to do a Flat Cancel and yet money has not yet been sent. I have some hope that I will still have my money returned, but I want others to know that this can happen and that Porsche Irvine is not to be trusted. I also contacted CARFAX. DO NOT SERVICE YOUR CAR AT THIS DEALERSHIP. Proche Irvine quoted me $10,000 to drop the engine for a warning on the dash, I fixed at another mechanic for $280. This dealership either having unqualified porsche mechanic or unethical practices. My 997.2 turbo had warning on dash regarding battery generator, I dropped it off at Porsche Irvine, service advisor was Natash Opperman, mechanic was Sadra Mizani. Initial quote was one labor hour to diagnos the issue, however after two weeks, Natash told me mechanic couldnt fix it and requesting another three labor hours for diagnosis, I agreed. Another two weeks passing by, they told me they still cannot fix it, it would require drop the engine to replace the wiring harness to the alternator, they asked $10,000 for that, I declined. After picking up the car, I found out the mechanic Sadra Mizani caused electrical damage to the car, rain got into the car causing water damage to rear end control unit mounted under driver seat. Porche Irvine fixed the water damaged and replaced the rear end control unit, free of charge. Since Porshce Irvine couldn't repair the warning on the dash, I took the car to Bash Autoworx in Diamond Bar, guess what, they found the wiring issue connect to the alternator right away and fixed it for $280. read more

Tim Tauber's Whatever It Takes attitude towards helping me create an awesome experience with my first-ever Porsche restored my faith in car purchase experiences overall. At the end of last year I decided I was going to give my wife something she's never had since we've been married over 17 years...and that was picking her own car. Life, kids, and mini-vans had been what she was used to but this time it was her turn to pick a new car. (I know, I know, I should have done this a long long time ago.) When we arrived we were greeted by Tim Tauber who immediately made us feel comfortable with his huge smile and easy-going demeanor. We definitely did not feel like we were under any kind of pressure to make any decisions that day. That was a big deal because it took months to finally get my wife to take a trip to a car dealership, let alone consider a new car. Before she test drove the Cayenne GTS she was a "as long as it gets me from point A to point B" kind of girl. We started with the Macan that was on the showroom floor. Our son is pretty tall so she didn't think the Macan was a good fit (pun intended) for our family. As a car enthusiast, the next thing that happened blew my mind! She walked outside and immediately pointed to the black on black Cayenne GTS and said "I've always wanted a black on black SUV, that thing looks badass". You can imagine how ridiculously excited I was in that moment! Tim made sure that she knew where every button was and how to use the PCM system before sending us off in our test drive. He gave us the keys but did not join us in the test drive - she loved that because she wanted to have the "we're not buying a new car right after the test drive" discussion with me. (I may have a historical problem with impulse emotional car purchases right after the test drive, just sayin'). But...after she drove that GTS, felt it's power, and heard it's V8 growl, there was no "discussion", she was sold! Kristine in finance was also amazing at making my wife feel totally at ease about the purchase and went out of her way to walk my wife through all of the financing options. From there, Dan and Tim totally came through and helped me make my wife's first-ever car purchase extremely special that Christmas. That night Dan and Tim had asked me, "Josh, what's your first Porsche going to be?". For me there was no other option, I wanted a new 992 911 Turbo S, which are, extremely hard to get. (There's now a 2-year waiting list!) Over the next few months they had sent me texts about one or two Turbo S's that had come in, but none of them were what I had pictured as a kid staring at 911 posters on my wall. I shared my 911 childhood dream w/ Dan and Tim and they said "well, in that case, we'll have to get you one of the few allocations we get each year so you can custom build one". Right then and there my jaw hit the floor. I had just met Dan and Tim a few months earlier, I certainly didn't have a running history with them that would warrant that kind of VIP level offering. From there, we sat down in their design center and custom built my 911 Turbo S detail by detail. Dan, Tim, & I had so much fun that afternoon. We spent hours going through each upgrade, each option, and every detail that would make my very first Porsche uniquely mine. I really wanted Guards Red stitched seats, but we weren't sure if the "deviated stitching package" included the seats so Dan reached out to his contacts at the factory in Germany to make sure we got our design just right. Tim's first-class level of service didn't end when the order was put into the factory. He was extremely responsive every time I reached out to get an update on the delivery ETA for my car. I loved that. Through those texts Tim and I began to build a friendship. Right out the of the gate we quickly got to "Meme-level", which is that same sense of humor connection we all have with our best friends. Here's where Tim really blew my mind. I was on my way to a client meeting in my R8 and one of my tire's blew. I was stuck on the side of the road for a few hours. While I was sitting there, I texted Tim who is a pretty funny guy and I knew I could get a laugh out of the meme's we send back and forth. I mentioned that I was stuck on the side of the road. He immediately called me and offered to come pick me up! He even offered to bring me food while I was stuck out there! Flash forward a couple of months. I answered a FaceTime call from Tim and my jaw dropped. Dan and Tim had my car delivered 30-days early! Tim knew what a special moment this was going to be for me so he made sure the car was waiting in the delivery room, covered, and ready to be revealed. That moment was magical, and yes, there might have been tears involved. From there, Kristine in finance, again, continued to be extremely helpful with my questions about the extended service options that I wanted. The follow up and the responses from the service technicians or managers is awful. I scheduled an appointment for two weeks out and then I asked them to please send me a price quote on the services for my 2013 Panamera. No one called and left me a message then I called again and spoke to Sarah who is a receptionist and works for Vincent wu. He's supposed to be my service tech and he's supposed to call me and let me know and understand why the expenses amount to $5000 + for maintenance and repairs. My Panamera has only 29,000 miles and I'm looking to do an oil check change and a filter change and just wanted to see what the cost would be for other things. But every time I called to talk to him to discuss, he was always busy and that other things were more priority and that he had a long day and then his customers are keeping him busy and that he would try to call me back and then he would try to make things work, but I never heard from him. If I'm not that important and you're going to quote me a $5000 repair cost for maintenance , what's the purpose of coming to your dealership for service? I've never experienced this before at the Newport Beach location, and the Newport Beach location is by far more superior and excellent than the Irvine location. This is my second time in the seven years at the Irvine location where I've had bad service. I came there five years ago to service my car and had bad service and promised I would never come back, but I thought I'd give them a second chance and I regret trying to do that. You all need to work on your people skills and you need to know how to service your customers and provide attention to it. If you're busy then find another service tech they can speak to your customer so that way you provide them with quality information so that way they understand what their needs are. But do not keep me hanging up as I have a busy life. I have a family and I have work as well that I need to attend to. I should not have to come around and work around my schedule to continuously to follow up with your service technician to be able to provide me some details and try to understand my concerns. Came in with my 2019 Cayenne for service, even calling ahead and asking on a specific issue I was given wrong info, only to drive up 30mins to find out the mechanic is gone for the day. Then it will take over a week to even have available loaner car while they do your service, took all of my information, never heard back about my apt so when I called them, no one chad any record of myself or my car, so had to go in second time and do this all over again. Upon completion of service had barely any attention from pre-occupied service clerk as the guy who took my car in was not there, the valet guy did most of the work and was truly embarrassed by the way everything went. I did speak with the service manager, turns out they have major issues there and they hope to get their service back in shape. Walked in Thursday afternoon at around 3PM on 1/27/22. Had some specific questions about a car that was scheduled to be delivered to that dealership that I saw on Porsche's main website. There was 1 other person sitting at a high top by the glass front. I could see there were employees in the parts/service department off to the right & another group of people in the center of the showroom behind a large work station towards the back. Did a lap around the showroom floor & no one said hello or even acknowledged me. There was 1 employee on the floor who glanced up at me then went back to looking at his phone. After my lap, I decided to just stand by the receptionist desk & wait since no one was there. Another employee walked up to the desk, checked for something in the drawer & walked away. Stood there for another 5 minutes looking around to see if anyone was going to attempt to approach me & I tried to make eye contact with people at the workstation by the showroom floor, but no one did. Waited a few more minutes then a gentleman named Ming came up & asked if anyone has helped me. Replied no & told him I had some questions about a car that they were scheduled to get delivered. I gave this review 2 stars because he answered my questions promptly & was upfront. I know most dealerships are marking up cars during this time, in this particular case $30k. From a sales/service perspective you'd think the least you can do if you are going to be financially advantageous in this climate is offer basic customer service. Eye contact, acknowledgement, and displaying a willingness to help are pretty standard in most people's book. I'm not a high maintenance person so it really takes a lot for me to voice my grievances. This def put a bad taste in my mouth about this dealership. If by any long shot someone higher up sees this & doesn't believe me. Pretty awful experience. Walked in to inquire about the Taycan as we're actively shopping for a luxury EV. Understandably the Taycan currently is few and far between, so didn't expect a test drive, so simply asked if we can see one to get a feel for the interior. They hurriedly pointed to one charging which belonged to Porsche, and said we can see the one outside. No one accompanied us to walk/talk us through the car. When someone finally came out, it was only to tell us that his manager told him to take the car to the back so no one looks at it, while we were looking at it. I am extremely disappointed in the service and professionalism this establishment has shown. I contemplated writing a review but I decided to let people know of my experience because it shows what kind of business goes on here. I researched a few cars and I kept reading great reviews on the Macan so I decided to check them out. Keeping in mind that I want to continue my education, I accounted future student loans in my budget and I found the amount I would feel comfortable paying for a Macan. I have a pre approval from my credit union and I was prepared to make the purchase. My mom found a Macan listed on the Irvine Porsche website and she sent me the link. The Macan was close to the price I wanted to pay ($3k over) so I decided to inquire about it and see if they could give me the deal I was looking for. I sent in the email request and I got an email back from a sales rep named Claudiu. He then called me and I specifically remember telling him "I don't want to waste your time or mine. I am looking to pay $xx on a Macan. I noticed you had this one in stock. If you can give me the deal, I will go in and make the purchase first thing tomorrow." He then told me he would go look for the car and see what he could do and we hung up. He called me 30 mins later and said he was still looking for the car. He called me another 30 mins later and said he had found the car but couldn't sell it to me because they were going to convert it into a loaner car. I really thought they were going to be able to give me the deal I was asking for so I was a little sad about it but, I mean, what can you do? Claudiu said he had another car ($4k over what I told him I was comfortable paying). He proceeded to tell me that the amount over wouldn't make a big difference in my monthly payment. I declined, thanked him for his time, and we hung up. About a week later, I went on carguru and I found the same car I had inquired about still posted on the Irvine website. I thought maybe they brought the car back into sales so I filled out another web inquiry. This time, I was contacted by a different associate. I told him exactly what I wanted to pay and that I was ready to close the deal if they could make it happen. He said he'd take a look and call me back. He did call me back and told me the exact same thing; the Macan I was interested in was being turned into a service vehicle. I figured it would take some time to get it removed from the website and that's the reason why it was still there. It wasn't until another week later (two weeks after my initial inquiry) that my mom called me and asked if I had bought the car. I told her what the two sales associates had told me and she said if that was true, why was there a third sales associate trying to sell her the exact same car?! She has filled out the email inquiry as well and three weeks later, she had been going back and forth with the other associate who said it was still available and would sell it to her. I was so shocked that they were trying to sell my mom the same car I had inquired about that TWO sales associates, AT DIFFERENT TIMES, told me was not available. It has now been over a month and the SAME car is still listed as available on their website. I checked around their listing and noticed another car that was previously listed was removed, which means they DO update their website. One of two things is happening here. The Macan was transferred to the service department and they are using it as a bait and switch OR they didn't want to sell me the car (idk why). Honestly, all they had to say was "Sorry, we can't sell you that car at that price" and I would have understood and moved on BUT they didn't. What kind of business is this? One that either lies to their customers or one that fishes people in and tries to sell them something they are not necessarily looking for? Neither option sounds like a place I want to do business with. I became so discouraged with the whole process and the way this Porsche does business that I stopped looking for a Macan. I hope that everyone who is looking for a car and has read this review does not get pressured into purchasing a vehicle they are not comfortable in getting! read more

I was a little nervous at first. Kevin treated us like we were purchasing a beautiful new Porche. Nothing less. As with any used car sometimes things could be overlooked at a dealership, at no fault of there's. After buying the car, I took my car to my mechanic cause it felt a little unbalanced, nothin major. My mechanic told me the tires were a bit worn and that I should replace them immediately. I have a small warranty with the dealership. There was a little confusion with the warranty at first so I reached out to the general manager who promptly had his sales manager give me a call, and assured me everything will be taken care of. Honestly, I am wondering if all dealerships is the USA scam people? I have lived in Germany and in Stuttgart where the Large Porshe museum is and Porshe is a well respected, customer service orientated business and brand ... or so I thought, until the came to the USA. It is embarrassing that they hold the Porshe 'dealer' name here. Dealer makes send because I might as well have to deal with a man off the streets. My experience ,. I asked for my windshield wipers to be looked at, my stereo and mainly my microphone Bluetooth has an issue and I bought the $4000 package for extended warranty. She gets me to sign the papers to allow the work and says there is $231 to inspect the car, I said, ok, But call me before because I don't want to get charged for things that are wrong with a car that I just bought. She said ok. And looking back she hesitated. At the time I didn't think anything of it. But she didn't explain that I already agreed to pay the $231 for an inspection. Which was NOT EXPLAINED to me at all. I come back to pick it up the next day without a phone call or any information the day before when I dropped it off at 7am. I have a loaner car so I guess I am keeping their loaner over night?! I questioned why they wouldn't call me to let me know they were keeping my car overnight but ok. No problem. I get a phone call from Natasha the next day and pick up my car. They found nothing wrong with it and she presents me with the $231 dollars and tells me there is nothing wrong with my car but I have to pay the $231. I said why didn't you call me before? She said that is what you signed for? I stood there confused because that is not what she said the day before. However, I would pay that if we could sole the issue with my bluetooth that is muffled in my car. So we grab the main engineer who worked on my car and another mechanic and we try to replicate the issue. I am not listening on their end but in my car driving around and we can not replicate the issue. I am confused because every time I am on the phone with someone they say they can't hear my and there is noises when I use the Bluetooth. After 30 minutes trying they tell me to record the noise I hear and come back. I am about to cry because for work all I use is my car and my Bluetooth. Sounds silly. Simple issue but it is a terrible issue for me and my work. So I say ok. I will try to record the issue myself after paying you $231 to get it solved with zero luck and I am about to leave and remember I left something in the loaner car. I ask two guys for my things from the car and in the mean time I call corporate Porsche. I am in my car for 35!!!! Minutes while being ignored so they can take care of other customers waiting in my car for my items. This is a terrible feeling being neglected because they couldn't solve my issue and now didn't seem to want to help me in any way. I have the corporate guy on the phone who was Lovely his name was Michael and on that call he said that he hear the noise several times through my Bluetooth Porshe system. I wanted to cry. So I am so frustrated at this stage. Finally I park where no one else can get into the bay and then they realize they need to help me And get my items from the loaner car. I leave and here I am. $231 dollars down with a still broken car and a bad taste in my mouth. Oh man. What an embarrassing and terrible experience here. I am going back today to complain more Because this is just unheard of. The attitude at the end with Natasha. I was trying to be light and easy going all the way through but zero apologies or understanding from this place. Nothing was solved. Nothing was done. And usually they clean your car. They didn't wipe one thing down and the vacuum job is embarrassing. Terrible experience. read more

This is now the second time I've booked a service for my car at this location and requested a loaner vehicle. Then day of my appointment they don't have loaner vehicles and push me a week out for a new appointment or tell me I can sit around and wait for 2+ hours for my car to get a basic service. read more

We can categorically say this was the BEST car buying experience in our lifetime. We went to Irvine Porsche and upon arrival we were allowed to look around without interruptions from sales personal. After a good fifteen minutes Mario approached us to ask if we had any questions. He was friendly, knowledgeable, with a positive and relax attitude. Working close everyday with a salesman, we made our decision to purchase and ship to our home AND insisted he accept our $10,000 deposit, so the car would not sell, he accept our full price offer and started the buying process. We immediately texted over our drivers license and insurance card. We were a cash buyer and headed to our bank to wire the money to Porsche Irvine.
