I even spoke with this persons manager. Nothing. No response. Then I call back and they said they had some coming in and would send me the order sheet, but again, nothing.... I was trying to be a good customer and to stay with them long term to do service, etc. and to build a good long term relationship, but they are terrible and apparently don't care about these relationships with potential long-term. Showed up for my appointment on time and was told they would follow up with me in 30 minutes with their inspection review. An hour and a half later they came back with a number of adjustments to their offer. Big price reduction. Fyi, it's a very well maintained car with low mileage. The most significant was requiring new tires to be replaced on the vehicle. Fyi, the tires had around 8k easy miles on them. When I dropped off my car, I was greeted by name at the door. Jonathan had all of my paperwork ready, and my loaner car was out front ready for me to go. Jonathan explained everything that was to be done on the car and the timeline for its completion. I was out the door in less than 15 minutes. I also liked the fact that Jonathan told me to refill the gas tank by putting in one gallon of gas for every 20 miles driven and reset the trip odometer. The next day I was sent a video of the inspection being done on the car informing me of the condition of the brakes, tires, and suspension as well as the requested repairs. I received an email the next day telling me when my car would be ready for pickup. When I arrived at the dealership, I was again greeted by name. Jonathan had all of my paperwork ready and he went over all of the repairs that were done and we did a walk around the car. They did a wonderful job washing the vehicle and adding that new car smell. Stay away from service here. It's bad. They are careless, you will notice right away. They leave the doors and windows to your car open, the ignition switch on after you hand over the keys, it's frustrating. I picked up my car yesterday after 1 week of them experimenting with a brake noise issue. Porsche did not fix the noise issue. They said it is normal. The dealer was rough with my Cayenne while they had it. They drove it 50 miles and wrote down a lower mileage out number. My car has new scratches on the driver door, the brakes were abused in an attempt to stop the noise, and the seat looks roughed up. read more

I no longer take my car there. Once it took over a week to get my Panamera back from scheduled routine maintenance and finally I learned that they had ruined a tire and were in the process of replacing it. Another time I took it there because the controls for the right front passenger seat were frozen (warranty repair). The car was there for close to two weeks before I got it back, and I was getting all sorts of excuses about how difficult it was to repair it. The seat froze again within ten days with the second person in the front passenger seat. My mechanic for our other cars changed the fuse and the controls worked. Fuse blew out again later, but i am not bothering with it as I assume that was the fix Porsche Irvine tried after receiving the warranty money from Porsche. Another time, the console in between the two seats in the back would not close. Took it there and received an estimate of over $1,900 for repairs. Took the car to my mechanic, who reached in there and removed a few Goldfish crackers from under the flaps after which the console closed (our son had made the back seat a snack zone during a long trip). He joked with me that it would be only $1,700 and would not accept any payment. Btw, the second star is for the free coffee. read more

If you're buying a car at Porsche Irvine, ASK FOR Nate Bagnol. Nicest guy and great customer service! I was not impressed with my first sales person who I will not name for his sake. I was at the dealership at 9am to view a new listing on a used car. It was out for new tires so I asked to be called "as soon as the car returns". Around 3pm I text this salesman for an update, he replied he would make a call to find out the status. He never text me back. I text again around 4:30pm and he said it just returned so I immediately went over there, 2 blocks from my work. When I got there the car was not there. It eventually showed up in front of the dealership from a test drive, and the customer was now buying the car. WHAT! I was not happy since I felt I was first in line for this car. I found out that the car had actually been there for over 2 hours before I was told it had returned. Thankfully the buyer failed to obtain the car so I was then contacted to come back if I still wanted it. This time I was set up with Nate (the other sales guy said he had to leave but he was actually there for another 2+ hours?). Nate is the nicest guy and non-salesy. He took me for a long comprehensive test drive which I did request this time. The other sales guy had me drive around a long block. You can't feel/test a car going around the block at 55 mph. Nate made sure the car was thoroughly cleaned inside and when there was an issue with the cars info center he made sure it got fixed. The other sales guy made it feel like I was a waste of his time since I wasn't buying a super expensive car. But I could be wrong. How do I change it to sport mode? How do I do x,y,z?" And it felt like I was such an inconvenience. Also, I thought this was a luxury car brand? Shouldn't I be offered water on a hot day? Unfortunately, even as someone that hardly leaves Yelp reviews good or bad, I have to update this review to steer anyone away from this dealership and service center for what genuinely turned into (no exaggeration) the worst customer support I have ever received in my entire life. I had a good initial experience with getting a few minor things taken care of on my Cayman here. It did take months to get my car back for some very minor service jobs (it was around the holidays, so I didn't think too much of it), but I eventually got it back - with a couple positive surprises as mentioned in the last review. After my first pick up of my car, my experience went STRAIGHT downhill to an awful and genuinely unbelievable level of customer support Jonathan Lewis and multiple other employees. I booked my first service appointment for two very simple things - my wipers were very jerky when in use, and my key was not reliably unlocking the car, even at close range. After picking up my car, neither of these things were fixed, and I left with new issues. This continued through four different service appointments. There were some little things like them accidentally disabling the beep of my car lock (which cannot be changed anywhere but a service center), and then there were more significant things, like my front trunk sounding and feeling like it was going to snap every time I opened it. My wipers were not fixed until my third visit- and of course, this was not something that was covered by my AutoNation warranty, so I initially paid to have the wipers actually made worse than they came in on the first two tries, on top of two hours round trip because this is one of few dealers in the area that will do AutoNation warranty services and is very far from the valley. At one point I was told that I had rodents in my car and was sent multiple photos (showing no rodents, just confusing, low quality photos with very little explanation). These were sent, and then suddenly everything was fine, and whatever was photographed was never elaborated on or explained. Over time I got tired of dealing with the back and forth and I stopped caring about most of the issues except for the front trunk feeling like it was going to snap, so I brought the car in yet again to have this fixed. It was never fixed. I emailed Jonathan about this the following night after the "service" when I first opened the front trunk a day later. Suddenly, after previously acknowledging the issue and "servicing" it, he began to act like he had no idea what I was talking about, even though there are several emails (and videos) documenting this damage being done AT the service center. Jonathan eventually became non responsive both on call and on email, after multiple attempts of trying to follow up over months. Recognizing he had no interest in helping with the issues I wanted fixed (which at this point were only ones created by the service center), I started asking the receptionist for help. I spoke with the same lady 6 or so times over the course of three months. On every call, she would tell me she was shocked to hear about my experience, and that she would connect me "by the end of the day, you have my word" to "the manager," "escalate it to the top of the list," etc. Nobody ever reached out. I continued calling every week or two and would be connected to the same lady, who would act like she had never heard from me, repeat the same script, only to never connect me with anyone. Jonathan never responded to me. I eventually gave up and just sold the car. If I didn't love the 718, this experience would make me never want to purchase a Porsche, or a car of any kind bundled with AutoNation ever again. I've advised all of my Porsche-loving friends to never step near this establishment, and would love to advise anyone out there interested in a Porsche (or servicing one) to go to the furthest one you possibly can from Porsche Irvine. I am grateful that nothing worse was done in the service center, but either way, my experience with them was a complete and utter waste of time and money, that left me with a car with more problems than I came in with. There are plenty of wonderful Porsche dealerships and service centers around Los Angeles county - go to ANY other one, or even just try working on the car yourself, and you have a better chance of something positive happening. Don't make the same mistakes I did and have the right work done to your beautiful cars! read more

We've given the Irvine dealership plenty of chances. They fail us every time. My opinion is this is a maintenance gouging operation. Our vehicle was sideswiped on the freeway, so we called them for an approved collision expert. The one they recommended kept the car for months. Nothing more than a fender dent. They moved the vehicle from the collision place back to Porsche Irvine for resetting sensors. When we finally picked up the car, it broke down blocks away. Keep in mind, we had no mechanical problems on the car at all prior. Of course finger pointing all around - the true marks of hack organizations. Took it back for a light being out and servicing. This time, they kept it for a week. $2300 + for a light and servicing. When we got it home, noticed they had busted a fog light and a door lock did not work. They checked off windshield washer sprayer on their list even with one not working. They said the car is old at 125K, which surprised us a lot as this is a Porsche. When we brought it back in just to get the fog light fixed and look at the door lock, they went completely into the same inspection checklist, finding all sorts of new items to fix that they just checked three weeks prior. They said they took pictures and would know if the fog lamp came in broken. Interestingly, they fixed the lamp and never came clean on what they found. I had to clean the car after I got it home because the roof was filthy after sitting there for a week. That's how I found the broken light. We put tens of thousands into our vehicles over the last few years. We do not mind the expense of owning a Porsche except, in our opinion, when they are ripoff artists. Mostly, no one cared at Porsche Irvine. This is a place for unsophisticated car owners who have big bank accounts and little knowledge of car maintenance. read more

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICE. The employees will drive your car to and from their home and abuse your car. I had my car in, and when I checked the location of my car later at night on the app, I saw it was parked at a house in Pomona over 40 miles away. I called the police and reported my car stolen. As it turns out, their manager calls this shady practice normal road test. They drove my car over 100 miles, and God knows how. I am going to sue them. I brought in my car for what seemed like straightforward issues: a malfunctioning front headlight and an oil leak. The oil leak was quickly addressed under warranty, but the headlight issue became a drawn-out saga that left me deeply disappointed. Despite a clear dashboard warning indicating the problem with the headlight, the service team struggled to diagnose the issue. After multiple days of back-and-forth communication, I was informed that I needed a new headlight assembly, which shockingly would cost $6,000 - a repair not covered by my Auto Nation warranty. Finding the quoted price exorbitant, I declined the repair and sought a second opinion.The next day on inspection my mechanic discover that the headlight assembly was broken and had been hastily taped together with green electrical tape, a clear sign of mishandling. When I raised this issue with Henry, the service advisor, and Dan, the dealer manager, I was met with excuses and a lack of accountability. It was later admitted that the assembly was supposedly already broken and temporarily fixed with tape due to time constraints, a detail never communicated to me in the several calls and texts to me. Although they offered a 10% discount on the repair, this gesture did nothing to address the underlying issues of integrity and accountability, especially considering that the dealership had previously worked on this very headlight for a recall issue and a bulb replacement in the last 12 months. The management and service department's handling of this situation, marked by poor communication and questionable ethics, is alarming. It aligns with other recent 1-star reviews of Porsche Irvine, indicating a troubling pattern. As a result, I have filed a complaint with the CA Department of Consumer Affairs Bureau of Automotive Repairs and encourage others who have faced similar issues to do the same. EXCELLENT SERVICE from Jon Lewis I took my car in for an oil change and software updates. The mechanic sent the video inspection to my phone. Everything looked good EXCEPT for under the hood where he showed me rodent damage in the engine bay. I called my service manager, Jon Lewis, and he explained that the best thing to do to keep rodents away was to place dryer sheets under the hood and/or spray with peppermint oil. On the way to retrieve my car I picked up Bounce (scented) and once I arrived at the dealership, Jon took the dryer sheets and placed them strategically throughout the engine bay. That is service!
