Stayed at BumbleBerry Inn for two nights and they include a hot breakfast + drink per person at Porter's each morning as part of their stay, which is quite a deal! Just a minute walk away from the Inn to the bakery, gift shop, and restaurant. Only had breakfast here (twice) so can't comment on the other meals. We tried the BumbleBerry pancakes (delicious and fluffy!), Frosted flake french toast (french toast with frosted flakes coating, really great texture), the Popeye omelette (a veggie and spinach omelette), and the biscuits and gravy (gravy quite salty but huge portion- comes w sides of eggs, two sausage patties, and potatoes!). Overall both our meals were excellent. My faves were the BumbleBerry pancakes and the seasoned potatoes that came with the savory entrees. Service is fast and polite. No need to go anywhere else than Porter's when you're in Zion! They got you covered breakfast, lunch, and dinner! We ate breakfast and lunch in our 24hr stay. Say HI to Jake the chef if you enjoy your meal. Staff matched the food....EXCELLENT! We had pork nachos (it's a meal itself!) brisket sandwich and I the Porter berry salad. When I walked in for breakfast the next day I was hoping he had biscuits and gravy and they did not disappoint! I didn't even have to add any salt and you get extra sausage patties on your biscuits. My family had the famous brumbleberry pancakes and french toast dipped in crushed Frosted Flakes! Nummy! Zion is lucky to have such a good chef in a small town. We were told this is "REALLY GOOD" BBQ. We shared the BBQ Combo Platter and it was just OK. The only good thing was the chicken wings but you only get 2 pieces. While we have lived in the Zion area about a year, we moved to Springdale in November. Nearly, the entire time we have lived here Porters has been closed for the winter season and we remained curious as to the place that had replaced Wildcat Willies. While they were closed I had heard from a coworker that they had recently been purchased by the same people who own our beloved Oscars across the street. This piqued my interest and so when they reopened last week, first order of business was to try it out. It seems like their menu was updated over the winter and so I have attached photos of it. I have to say, we were extremely impressed. The food was priced extremely reasonably, especially for Springdale. We went in hungry and ordered the $25 three meat plate to split. The serving size was HUGE, the two of us ate our fill and still brought not one but TWO boxes home. Not only was the quantity impressive but so was the taste. We were particularly pleased with the Mac and Cheese, Pulled Pork, and Sausage. Extremely flavorful. My *one* complaint was that the brisket was a bit dry, but if they provided extra barbecue sauce it would have been okay. But hey, its a somewhat new restaurant, given time, I am sure the kinks will be ironed over. People giving one star reviews because of the road construction, I mean come on, be real. It's not the restaurants fault. Its the bane of every single person who lives in Springdale's existence. We get it. It sucks. It takes me 45 minutes to drive two miles to work each and every morning (I should prob start walking). But to give a restaurant a one star review because of that is ridiculous. Come back in June when it is finished. Anyways, we will be back for sure. And not just because its a 2 minute walk from our house, but because the food is among the best in Springdale. The one star is for the servers and a decent breakfast. Staying at Bumbleberry Inn so decided to give Porters a try after a day of sightseeing Zion. Seated for dinner near the bar area. The very diligent bar tenders were responsible for drinks throughout the restaurant as well as taking orders for food in the whole bar area. My brisket plate included the most tasteless cole slaw I have ever experienced , a thin slice of meat which was 25% fat, baked beans and fries. The size of my husband's trout closely resembled a sardine and the flavor made it suitable for bait. We asked the server for bread and were given two slices of white bread, no butter! We were given a free breakfast voucher by the hotel, so gave Porters another shot. In keeping with this restaurant 's protocol, the breakfast was well below standard. The 2 sunny side up eggs were the size of one large egg. My omelette also small but ok. With the many restaurants available in the area, I would definitely suggest passing on Porters! read more

About the best thing of our meal was the salad dressing. Not the salad, just the dressing. My wife had the Utah trout, which was covered in an icky sweet sauce. She ordered double vegetables in lieu of the mashed potatoes, but the order was not delivered correctly. I had the barbecue platter. Very disappointed. My best friend and I decided to try out this restaurant because of the bumbleberry pie. Once we were seated, our waitress told us that they did not serve the pie but can order it in the shop and bring it in. We did so and ordered a beef dip with fries. To our amazement, our first bite was mouthwatering and perfectly Smoky. The tender chunks of prime beef we're perfectly seasoned and slowly cooked to perfection. The Au Jus was delicious and equally Smoky. Needless to say, it did not need any other condiments which would have taken away from the flavor. The fries were thin and perfectly crispy. We saw this place lookin' lit from outside on our drive back in. After parking by our campsite, we took the shuttle to stop 5 and went in. The decor is pretty typical of an American barbeque restaurant -- pics of cowboy, random barrels, and the likes. Although I will say the wooden carving of Yosemite Sam at the entrance is quite disturbing. Our server was Shayna, and she was maintaining the bar and several tables at once. Mad credit to her for having the social capability to be warm and inviting yet also quick and efficient. The ribs were pretty damn good. Meat just came right off the bone and tasted what you'd expect from a rack of ribs. The turkey burger was pretty good too. The only thing I can talk poorly about is the coleslaw!! We were super impressed with this place as we had a great waitress named Ashley and the food was super tasty. My wife had the catfish and ribs dinner which was excellent while I had the potato skins with brisket appetizer which was absolutely amazing. My kids had a cheeseburger and corndog with fries and they were very happy. Delicious cocktails and great beers as well specifically of a hop rising double IPA. I called in and ordered takeout ahead of time. Had to wait on hold for a few minutes and another person told me that they never answered her call (pretty typical in both Bryce and Zion). When I went there the entrance wasn't clear (main entrance is through bumbleberry's). Once I was in many of the guest were in crowded lines/groups, many without masks. It wasn't clear where to go to get a takeout order. Once I finally got to the front cashier and interrupted somebody to get her attention the food was ready to go. Our 3rd visit and the food has been excellent with 3 different orders. Today we did prime rib french dip - tender and onion rings crunchy and cooked perfectly and the chicken fried steak (pork) which was tender and crispy. Have had BBQ (Whole Hog Platter) and a burger and they have all been terrific. The real star of the show was our waitress, Shanna. Went here for breakfast around 830am. This place is rated at 3 and a half stars and that is way to high. The place wasn't busy but they sat us outside in the sun when there was plenty of tables with umbrellas. Ordered the country fried steak although the presentation of the food was great the home fries were soggy the country fried steak tasted like it microwaved and white gravy on top was bland. What was good was the sunny side up eggs were cooked right the coffee was great but that's where it stops. There was no creamer or regular sugar on the table had to ask and took a bit to get some. No one came around to ask us for a refill on water or coffee. The worst is that my wife's plate had a hair in it which for restaurant is one of the worst things you can have happen in a restaurant and you would think they would of compensated us for this but all they did was remove the plate and that's it. I worked at different restaurants for 5 years and if anything of that nature would of happened it was normal for management to come out and apologize and comp the whole meal and also comp their next meal to get another chance to prove to them that we can make their experience better. We were told that this restaurant was recently acquired by new owners. My wife and I think that whoever bought it have done a great job. We dined in the restaurant two days in a row and both of us ordered different dishes each time. The first day my wife had meatloaf while I had smoked sausage and ribs. On our second visit, we had catfish and steak. They were all delicious, flavorful, and plentiful. We had two different servers and both were great and friendly. The best! After a day of hiking we were looking for a solid meal. We walked to Porter's from our hotel and were blown away. My husband got the Chicken Fried Chicken and the gravy was to die for. My husband placed a take out order and after 45 minutes of waiting for our food, the waitress comes out and mentions that our order was no longer available on the menu. We were very disappointed when we found out that Wildcat Willies was no more and a new restaurant named Porters had taken its place. So of course we had to give it a try!
