I stop here occasionally because they have good food and good portions! It's a cute little place for a quick bite, casual nothing fancy. It's set up like a fast food restaurant, you order and pay at the register, they call your number and you go get your food and fill your drink. I was surprised they still expect sit-down full service tipping here though? The options were 18, 20 & 25%. I even have to clean up my table after eating. If they at least served and picked up after you, it would make the experience a little more upscale than subway. But good food.

Delicious fish and chips! Large pieces. Fast service. Cute decor. Glad I found it here at the Outlwt Center in Anderson.

We arrived at 7:30 and they closed at 8:00. The young man who greeted us was very friendly and didn't make us feel rushed. He was very accommodating and courteous. It's refreshing to see a young person doing a job well these days. The fish was pretty good too with generous portions.

Hands down, this was the best fish and chips I've ever had in my life! The pieces of fish they give you are actually very large, so one piece of fish and chips should be more than enough for most people. The chips are very large meaty curly fries, which is very unique. I found the staff here to be very friendly and courteous. This place is a real find!

After a long day of snow fun and driving I worked up an appetite for some fish n chips. Came to trusty Yelp and found this lil spot. Entered the establishment and was looked at, but not greeted by not one employee, but two employees. That was a lil off-putting to me, but when I reached the register, the smiles and hellos came slapping me in my face. I ordered the fish n chips and popcorn shrimp appetizer and I was pleasantly amazed at the food portions once they arrived. The fish was a bit greasy, but that was to be expected - but boy oh boy is my tummy mad at me! The diner was cute and cozy, and relaxed. I'll visit this place again.

Best people in the work work here! They really care about their customers and if it ain't right they make it right. Only place you want to go in the county for fish and chips. I hear they will be opening a tap house right next door very soon. Can't wait! read more

Meh, yeah meh, I've experienced better, describes this restaurant well. The hush puppy's had good flavor but were under cooked. the fish we ordered was not cleaned and very greasy and no flavor but smelled very fishy. Odd not cleaned fish with no flavor yet smelled bad; perhaps the oil was dirty. Now the calamar was slimy and not cooked properly. Note the calamar is pressed into steaks cut and fried. Same smell as the fish yet it did have a bit of flavor. I would pass on Portside and will in the future.. Lunch was over $30.00 and we left the fish, most of the calamar but ate most of the hush puppy's. Sorry no manga here. read more

We were craving good fish and chips, and so were totally excited to find this place and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent, friendly, and efficient. The cashier was wearing a mask, which is very much appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious and freshly prepared, and not too greasy. The food is still good, but, the service has gone to hell. I ordered two cups of clam chowder with my order. The chowder was not in the bags when I got home. I called the store and got the usual question. Am I coming back to get it. No!!! It costs gas to go back. So they always say if I give them my name then they will give it to me on my next visit. Like I'm going to go back there anytime soon. I asked them to refund the $10.98 to my card. They claim they can't. Bull Crap! There is a tip line on the card receipt. You write in a tip and they re-run the card. So, yes, they can refund that amount. They just won't. Sorry Portside, lost a customer today. read more

Have not eaten there in awhile. When it first opened it was really good. Tonight's fish and prawns was a disappointment. The cocktail sauce was a flavorless gelatin. It was literally so hard it was like jello. The fish and prawns had no real flavor. The prices have also gone up. I get that but the food tonight was not worth the price. read more

Was pleasantly surprised. Staff was super nice and very quick. Food was really good. We got both scallops and fish. Comes out fresh and very hot but delicious. You can actually taste fish and not just breading. If your looking for a super cheap cardboard meal don't go here but if you want good fish I was pleased. read more

Got reheated fish and chips, I think. Very bready, chewy. Not at all crunchy or crisp. Frozen fish. I think they just microwave and re heat. Low quality. Go to McDonald's instead. They are relying on people never coming back. A one time road stop! read more

Tried this for the first time this week based on reviews and overall were pleased! We had the 3 piece fish and chips but substituted zucchini sticks for the potatoes. The fish portions were quite large as were the zucchini sticks so we took half home! The basket includes cole slaw in a cup which was good but a bit too much dressing for our taste. We've been trying for years to find a fish and chips replacement after Buz's in Redding closed and have yet to find one... they were a tough act to follow! The quality of the fish here, flavor and quantity is good but was slightly overcooked which can happen sometimes but won't stop us from trying this place again. As far as atmosphere, it's a small place that feels more like a fast food place. You order at the counter, collect your sauces, silverware, etc yourself and then they bring your food to your table. We noticed while we were waiting for our food to come that most of the customers were getting their food to go so I think this would be a great place to stop on the way home from work for take out. My wife and I went to portside fish and chips in anderson today and I have to tell you I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food we ordered. We will be returning on a regular basis when we are in anderson. Best fish and chips, deep fried mushrooms, and deep fried artichokes I've ever had. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This gentleman thought I would get a DUI because I called the police. Fun enough I'm sitting in my driveway writing this review....... This bar has toxic locals and isn't worth spending a dollar at because they will attempt to get the corrupt cops to help them out...... Dont worry sweet cheeks this review is the least of this towns worries. Especially with the corrupt police that tried to make it seem like my fault as I say and waited for the police I CALLED

Great prices, friendly staff and delicious food. The wait is moderate, and the staff even take the time to hand write thank you messages and inspirational messages on the to go bags. Tonight we order an order of cheese sticks, 3 piece fish and chips, a kids fish and chips and the clay chowder in a bread bowl. Everything was hot and tasted wonderful. My husband and I stopped in to your restaurant today and wanted to try it, but there were customers in there without masks on and the lady behind the counter did not have a mask on. Shasta County has had a big surge in Covid recently and I think we all need to be safe and wear a mask. We left without eating there. read more

I went in there a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday, and a young woman went bat shit crazy on me because her co-worker felt uncomfortable about me. It's no wonder that they never have anyone eating there. read more
