The crew never washes their hands before putting gloves on, so whatever they were just doing, scratching themselves, using cleaning chemicals ends up on your sandwich. Bonus round. I'm usually not a sammich girl but if you say "Potbelly's" I'll drive. Its one of the few sub shops I actually get cravings for. My faves are the Wreck and the Meatball. I get them "thin-cut" on wheat with everything except oil and Italian seasoning. Their potato chip selection could be better I'm more interested in the sammy itself. They have a pretty good Chicken salad Salad as well. If you want soup its du jour so depending on the day you go, they have a designated soup, the chicken noodle & garden vegetable are pretty bland. If you want a yummy sammich on the cheap this place delivers, but you can pass on the PB&J, its actually bad (how do you mess up a pb&j ?!). So if you can't make it to Cindi's Deli then this would be a pretty good substitue (much better then Subway, Quiznos or Jimmy john). read more

I actually like place a whole lot better than Subway's. This place doesn't have that "Subway's" smell to it. The "Subway" smell makes me nauseous for some reason. Psychological? I dunno. Anywho, Potbelly's is a great choice if your going for portion control since all of their sandwiches are about 6 inches and cut in half. My usual here is a Italian on wheat with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, oil and pepper. Sometimes I'll additionally get a soup of the day if I'm extra hungry. Their broccoli and cheese is pretty good. If you can afford to eat something sweet then don't forget to grab one of their sugar cookies. It's soooo goood! The music that they play during the day is pretty interesting and eclectic from what I can tell and some evenings they'll have a couple of peeps singing and playing "upstairs." I always felt the sandwiches at Potbelly were a little small compared to other places I frequent but the Wreck salad is a great lunch for me. I ordered online for pickup and got a chicken sandwich with pickles and even put extra pickles in the memo line because a sandwich isn't good to me without pickles. When I got the sandwich it had one little sliver of pickle. Really???? That's not even enough to taste it. I'm very picky when it comes to food and want it the way I like it plus the way I order it. The sandwich was very skimpy and not well made, by far the worst sandwich I have ever gotten from potbelly. Even the tomatoes were bad. I'm a big fan of Potbelly, and I've eaten there dozens of times at a few different locations over the past couple of years. Unfortunately, I recently got a new job and had to abandon my favorite location in Richardson. I didn't want to deal with parking at the Galleria just for a sandwich, so I decided to drive a little more and hit up the freestanding location on Belt Line instead. Man, did that suck. The toppings dude (tall, skinny and dumb-looking) who put my order together completely ruined my sandwich. He took forever to assemble it, and I ingenuously thought he was just taking his time to make it perfect. Ha! He put the ingredients in the wrong places, cut the sandwich at an angle and near one of the ends rather than down the middle, and packed like a pound of lettuce in it. By the time I finished eating my sandwich, there were tomatoes and shredded lettuce all over my cubicle. And, to top it off, the sandwich didn't even taste right because the proportions of the ingredients were way off. I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and venture into the Galleria when I'm in the mood for Potbelly, 'cause I definitely won't be returning to this location anytime soon. Not cool. read more

Seems every year or so I come back here... Ostensibly to remind myself why I don't come in more often.... The flavored just aren't for me. I asked for "hot peppers" on the Italian sandwich, and instead if the traditional cherry peppers you'd get most anywhere else, they used ... Jalapeños. WTF?? I've had a string of wrong orders from several fast food restaurants over the last several weeks ordering out. I thought maybe they're all exclusive to x y z and pot belly would be different. Today I ordered 2 (different) sandwiches and received not just the same one for both but not one asked for on either ordered. It's almost laughable the level of incompetence that has revealed itself in workers of these food service industry workers. If you simply can't read a request for X and deliver X, I can't see how you're suppose to really do anything else. Small portions and they're pretty skimpy on meat inside sandwiches. It's all VERY delicious, though. Definitely beats most other sandwich shops I've been to. Their soups are equally as good. I got a turkey breast sandwich, side soup and a water. Came out to $11, so very pricey for the amount of food you get. They charge extra per topping, which can add up. The workers were all very nice. It's a popular spot during weekday lunch time, so expect a line. I went here on a Monday at 12, but the line really did move fairly quick. If the portion sizes increased (or the price decreased) I'd easily be giving a 5 star review. But for $11, it really did not fill me up. You could get double meat, but it was $2.25 extra. I contemplated getting another sandwich and soup, but couldn't bring myself to spend so much money again on something that should've filled me up the first time. Pot Belly is a good place to get a toasted sub and I usually go for lunch. I will say that one of my favorites is something you have to ask for, or used to, because it wasn't on the menu. PBJ, yes a peanut butter and jelly sandwich all gooey and toasty. It is a great break from the norm on a cool spring winter or fall day, who really eats one in the summer except for me :) I am also a big fan of the macaroni salad. If you are looking for skinny options they have those as well- the rip some of the bread out and you can get a skinny combo with soup as well. read more

So this was by far my favorite sandwich place in the Dallas area. I am from NY and have yet to find a place that compares to my usual NY deli sub place. I was so sick of having only Subway and Quizno's to choose from. I never had Potbelly's until a friend introduced me to it in Addison back in the summer of 06'. Now I have had it everywhere. In Plano, Richardson, The Firewheel mall area, and now even in that Watter's Creek area in Allen. Yummy!!! I love sandwiches and don't eat fast food so I know when a new sub place is in town. My Italian sandwich just didn't excite me here. This place is a small step up from jimmy johns. I hate to say it but I like subway, which which, and scholtzkys better. At subway and scholtzkys you even get a lot more for the cost. Potbelly's sandwich is tiny like jimmy johns. What did excite me was their chocolate chip oatmeal cookie.
