    This was my $18 sandwich.

1-Star Review -- Potbelly Sandwich Shop (Dulles Airport, Concourse A) In 53 years, I have never written a bad review. But I genuinely feel a moral and legal obligation to share this experience, because what happened was beyond unacceptable. I approached the Potbelly Sandwich Shop in Dulles Airport (1 Saarinen) and immediately encountered what can only be described as the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Three employees stood together talking and completely ignored me. I walked to what looked like the order area -- no signage anywhere -- past a young man who was the only one actually working. When I finally asked for help, one of the employees snapped at me, in a harsh and dismissive tone, "Do you want to order? Then you need to go back there and order." No greeting. No assistance. Just attitude. I ordered the Avo Turkey. The key word here being "Avo." They handed my sandwich off to the toppings employee, who then asked me what toppings I wanted, even though the ingredients were clearly stated on the menu. Then the same rude employee asked, "What did you get?" as if she had paid zero attention to the entire process. That's when it hit me -- they were charging me for the avocado without putting any avocado on the sandwich. When I pointed it out, she begrudgingly unwrapped the sandwich and slapped some on, then reassembled it like she was angry I caught the mistake. I'm sorry, but this felt like a slap in the face to me, to Potbelly Corporate, to their shareholders, to Dulles Airport, and honestly to the entire city of Washington, D.C. This ruined my day and my 6-hour flight. It was like watching an episode of Beavis and Butt-Head -- except those two would have provided far better customer service, and at least they're entertaining. Do better, Potbelly. Much better.

The bread's just okay, but the overall sandwich flavor is good. It's not the spot if you're looking for a really satisfying, "wow" kind of sandwich, but it works great for a quick, balanced meal when you're on the go.

I am a big fan of Potbelly. Whenever I see them around, they become one of my top choices of fast food places to go. I like grilled and hot sandwiches, not a big fan of cold cuts or sandwiches that are served cold. Here they prepare your sandwich, the way you like it and then it goes through the toaster over conveyor belt, making the entire sandwich, hot and toasty.... Then they place whatever toppings you want. I got the grilled chicken and cheddar and it was yummy.... Lots of table in front of the restaurant to sit down and eat.

I know their specialty are sandwiches and they are good, but you need to try their soups! I ordered the Broccoli Cheddar soup. Omgggg it was delicious. Perfect in flavor and not salty at all. Was glad I ordered that. Can't wait to try other soup choices!

Service was really fast and got my order in so I can pay and run to my flight. Price is fairly reasonable considering the airport pricing. But overall food was great and filling before in flight snacks. Workers were nice as well so that's a plus for sure.

Probably the best value for money in the terminal. Efficient well made sandwiches. The original was plenty. Big if you are ravenous. Will have to remember this place to bring sandwiches onto the plane

Potbelly ' neighborhood sandwich shop' - - It's a sandwich shop in IAD terminal B with a ton of options like: prime rib, Turkey, chicken, tuna, skinny choices (with few calories), peanut butter and jelly, Mediterranean, veggie sandwiches. In the menu also they have have Mac and cheese, sides, salads, soups etc. In drinks they have made to order milkshakes. I ordered the milkshake in chocolate flavor. The employee was efficient in making it and it tasted good. It came with a little cookie on top of the straw. That was a cute touch. The prices not steep as some airport choices. My order was to go before my flight. But they do have a good amount of seating in their small shop. Overall, decent quick place to pick up or sit down to eat or drink before flight time.~

This was my first time noticing the rise of both hunger and emotions. With an "Eat first, snap later-" kind of mood. Potbelly's Sandwich Shop caught my attention for dinner. I had the urge to taste both Potbelly's Traditional Dressing and a simple Balsamic; therefore, I went Dutch on their Farmhouse salad (a rendition of a Cobb salad.) I drizzled half with their traditional dressing and the other half with their balsamic dressing. This salad had my taste buds singing, "Old McDonald had a farm. E-I-E-I-Oooh... with some oink, oinks here and cluck, clucks there... here's some bacon bits there's some diced, boiled eggs... and every where was a layer of deliciousness within a bite. One of the Austrian Airlines' flight attendants couldn't resist complimenting the salad.

Scary! My stomach is quivering just thinking about the person who eats this tuna salad! is that milk or mayonnaise? Yikes!

The chicken pot pie soup was so good a gobbled it up quick and wish I had bought a large. It was just the right thickness and seasoned well. I bought a tuna sandwich as well. It was good but I asked for mayo and the person forgot to add it. So I ate it later. I took off 1 star for the mayo because I was starving. But the soup was GREAT!

Pretty standard sandwich with slightly better bread. Their "big" is kind of disappointing at 8 inches, the size of a regular Jimmy Johns.

A booth opened up and we ordered: Two coffees, waters, a breakfast burrito, hashbrowns and bacon, egg and cheese on wheat toast. We are so so full and it cost about $24. Stop in and eat at Joe's. Just walking in you knew you would be leaving full, content and happy (and ready for a mid morning nap)! The food was exactly what I was hoping for and actually expected. My buddy Mike had a Denver Omelette with Hash Browns and Rye Toast and I had a Cheddar Cheese, Mushroom and Bacon Omelette, also with Rye. I also got a side of Sausage Gravy for my Crispy Browns. Pure yummalishous! We all have our favorite "type" of Omelette and this was mine. Thin, not fluffy eggs, LOTS of fixins' and gooey melted cheese. I forgot we also got a side of pancakes and some scrapple! Yes, we literally pigged out! Cant wait to say hi to the crew next month when I return... and enjoy another great meal! Cheers, JimG

We chose to do the pistachella and the bounty.  They both featured Nutella and if that wasn't enough, one added crushed pistachios and the other coconut flakes.  They were very tasty but very rich and between the two of us, we had to admit defeat before finishing them both.  Happily, there are to go boxes to bring home any remainders.  The space is very clean and there are tables and lots of napkins (which you will need because these treats are both awesome and very messy).  The staff was very friendly and the parking is easy in the lot out front.  We will have to come back again to try some of the savory options to definitely be followed up by another dessert one. MMMMMM

In part, that was us not quite able to figure out exactly where it was. Grant Street, it turns out, is disjointed. In other words, it's not like it's just a straight shot from one end to the other. We stopped in here on a Saturday around 4 p.m. The place closes at 6 p.m., and are closed on Sunday. At that time of day, they weren't at all busy. The young man at the counter took our orders, and someone working in the back made the sandwiches. We just ordered savory items, so we can't speak to how the sweet items are (although some of them sounded so good). I ordered the salmon sandwich, which consists of: "Choice of your chimney bread, spread with dill cream cheese, filled with smoked Atlantic salmon, spring mix, cucumber, and red onion." The bread choices are everything bagel, jalapeno, and cheesy. I chose the everything bagel and asked for no onion. I found this sandwich to be tasty, but I thought they could have gone lighter with the dill cream cheese. The bread had a nice crispness. My husband ordered the ham and Swiss sandwich, which consists of: "Choice of your chimney bread, spread with paprika mayo and filled with black forest ham, Swiss cheese, fresh romaine hearts, spring mix, sweet pepper, tomato, cucumber, and red onion". He wasn't happy with the paprika mayo, as he says mustard would have worked better. Nor did he care for the sweet peppers. Now he knows not to order the default setting for this sandwich but instead to customize the toppings. They work with DoorDash, which, when ordering online, gives the option to customize one's order. There are high tables, the type that are found in bars, for those who want to eat their sandwiches there. The place is kept very clean.
