For a sub shop, this place is legit. I got the small grilled chicken sandwich and added bacon n shrooms which was big enough to feed 2 average eaters and a real ice cream milkshake. When I'm sick of eating Chipotle at the airport, I come here for a sandwich. It's never busy when I go, and even if there is a line, they're pretty quick. My favorite is the pizza sandwich. I don't like the mushrooms they use so I always order without them. The sandwich is not as big/filling as Quizno's or Subway, but the ingredients are quality. I tried the meatball sandwich the other day and was not impressed. It was reallllly bland. I would never order it again. Don't you hate when you go out on a limb to try something different and it just let's ya down? My absolute favorite thing to get here is their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies by the dozen. Once, someone gave them to me and I've been hooked ever since. They bake them fresh in-store and if you're lucky (like my last two visits) they will be warm right from the oven. Gate D14. Ordered the Wreck and a bowl of chili. Both were very excellent and tasted great! You can really taste the quality of all their ingredients. They also have a nice selection of drinks and chips to accompany. It's a far walk, especially if your gate is not near the D's, but well worth it. I love Potbelly but this location literally has left me speechless on two occasions. The first time, I got a Grilled Chicken and Cheddar sandwich with no cheese and at the end asked for a bit of Franks Red Hot sauce and they wanted to charge me for the Buffalo Chicken and Ranch sandwich (almost a dollar more).....??????? Really???? So if I don't get cheese every time like that time, should I ask you to subtract 70 cents?????? The second occasion today was just ridiculous. I asked for the Grilled Chicken and Cheddar again as I was about to walk towards the veggie side I added "can I also get mushrooms on that" and they said yes. I didn't get a good look at my sandwich when it came out of the toaster and they put on the veggies. Basically I just saw the wrapped product. It seemed a bit smaller and lighter than usual but I was in a hurry so I didn't think much of it. Well, I finally get on my plane and after take off I unwrap the sandwich, only to find out it had NO CHICKEN on it....only mushrooms and the other veggies I asked for......................what part of "add mushrooms to that" makes anyone think I don't want any meat on my sandwich when I clearly said I wanted a Grilled Chicken and Cheddar.....Great food (when its all there), terrible service. read more

From the rating, guess you know I'm a fan. Everywhere I see a Potbelly and as long as I haven't just eaten, I have to go in and get a Wreck with the works. So of course imagine my surprise (and immeasurable happiness) when I saw Potbelly one day in Terminal B on my way to my JetBlue flight to CA. I couldn't even wait for the flight and ate my Wreck right then and there in the waiting area. It's become a welcome addition to my pre-flight routine on JB, and on Virgin America as well, since they started flying cross-country last year, since VA also flies out of the same terminal. In addition, I love this location (there is only one potbelly's at dulles, right?) because it is at the end of a corridor and doesn't get the crowds that some of the other places get. Potbelly's is the best deal at Dulles. Cheaper even than one of those pre-made sad sandwich kiosks, and WAY tastier. The hot peppers are actually hot, which is awesome. Just stopped here for a quick bite on our way back home and it was definitely below par for a potbelly. I ordered the Mediterranean flatbread and they rushed my order as I tried to get toppings they wrapped it up and they added avocado in a rush then charged me for my breakfast- then someone said he got avocado and the checkout clerk cancelled my payment (I hope) added avocado and let me know then that there was an up charge and swiped my card again without me having had any time to respond. I do not care about the upcharge but to never explain it, not allow me to add toppings I wanted, and then to cancel my payment to re-charge me a dollar more is ridiculous customer service. The lady apologized as I explained to her my frustration but stil cancelled my ohmmeter and made sure I paid for that avocado I never saw as a difference maker. Unsanitary. Random meat juices and cheese all over the scale they use to weigh meat for your sandwich. When I asked for my turkey not to be put on a dirty scale, they told me to eat somewhere else. Then they put the dirty meat from the scale back in the turkey bin. I've been to Potbelly's all over the country and have never seen anything as disgusting or rude. During my visit in DC, I saw many Potbelly Sanwich shops around and wanted to give it a try. Before our flight back home, we decided to pick up a couple of sandwiches to enjoy on the plan. We decided on the A Wreck sandwich which included salami, roast beef, turkey, ham and swiss cheese and the Italian which included capicola, mortadella, pepperoni, salami and provolone cheese. Both sandwiches were amazing but the A Wreck was definitely better. I also decided to try their oatmeal chocolate cookie after reading great views on their cookies. And they did not disappoint! It was still warm and had the perfect amount of oats and chocolate. Definitely a great cookie. read more

Well, convenience is convenience. They were just opening as I was catching my early morning flight, and I wanted breakfast. They made me a nice egg white breakfast sandwich and since I was the second person to order, they let me choose whatever I wanted on it. I've always like Pot Belly when Im in the DC area and I'm glad the the airport location doesn't skimp.
