This Potbelly location is almost immediately off the COTA bus line. I've had Potbelly in other cities, and this one was by far the best I've had! From the friendly, quick service to the fresh, crisp sandwiches, I was very impressed. I loved the veggie melt and enjoyed the turkey avocado I tried as well. All the ingredients tasted fresh and were assembled with care. There's a menu of sandwich assemblies, but they have lists of other toppings you can add for free. read more

I happened upon this location when looking up an alternative to driving further up north with rush hour fast approaching (why or why did they close down the one on my side of town?). Being on High Street, parking is almost impossible. It was just after 4 and street parking was not permitted, even though I dropped in briefly to ask how to place an order and pick it up. They told me I could place a Curbside order on the app/internet and drive up when it was ready. "Plus points" for the very pleasant young lady that I spoke to. I drove around the corner and placed it (fairly effortlessly) then droved around when my order was ready. I picked up three sandwiches, one of which, I hadn't had before, the Chicken Club. That order consisted of Grilled Chicken, Bacon, Cheddar, Mayo, Lettuce, Onions, Tomato and a Pickle. It took about 40 minutes to get home (I didn't beat rush hour traffic and sadly chose to avoid the highway), so I didn't expect the sandwich to be exactly as it would have been "out of the fire". I was pleasantly surprised that it maintained its consistency. Still had that delicious, toasty bread, the meat was fresh, albeit cooled off and the vegetables were satisfying enough. All in all, I was tremendously pleased and will definitely order from that location again, when I crave it on that side of town. read more

The staff needs to work on there customer service skills they aren't very friendly or happy to work here it seems like the food is really good but the employees rushed us when it was our first time here and no one else was n line the menu wasn't given to us until after we asked for one then he told us to get out of line and get a menu hidden in the corner of the restaurant the only reason it got one star was because of the food. I remember the first time I ever tried Potbelly's. It was in Chicago and I thought it was the best thing ever! Turns out, this shiactually started there. I've had it a few times before in my hometown in KY, but hadn't had it again in years. I came around 2 in the afternoon so it was well past the lunch hour. There were two people sitting at the tables, 3 others waiting for their sandwich, 2 people in front of me in line, and 2 others behind me. I guess others like to take late lunches too! I ordered the Italian. Meats with cheese and then I added lettuce and tomato. Toasting it takes time so we all stood there waiting a bit. I always forget that this is what makes the process a bit slow. The workers were really nice though! Smiley when I greeted them and asked how they were doing. I'm sure it had been a long day. The place was clean. It's a small space but most people probably do a grab and go. I loved all the Ohio decor and the drink options. They had Honest Tea, sparkling water, sodas, etc. My sandwich tasted fine. Lacking in flavor and not as fantastic as I remembered. Not sure if I'll be back again, but perhaps only if I'm craving a sandwich and I've got time to kill waiting for it to toast. Still, the fact that it's a toasted sandwich is nice. Today at 3:45 pm I came in to the shop on high street. I ordered a cup of soup and sandwich. It's raining and I am walking so I asked the young man if he could hold the sandwich for 10 min as I have to run to CVS AND don't want it to get rained on. He was emphatic in his refusal to do that. So I said ok I'll just take the soup and he promptly left and didn't return. I waited 5 min and asked the woman if she knew what was going on. So I explained to her and he walked back in and I confronted him he was beyond rude to me. She was kind and got my soup for me so I thank her so much. He needs to get a job where he doesn't interact with people. #worstemployee To The Manager who replied to my comment. I appreciate your response. I'm a flight attendant and rarely get to Columbus. Fast and friendly staff food was good for a reasonable price. I had the chili which had just the right amount of spice to give flavor.

I stopped in for the cold brew shake. I also sampled a regular turkey avocado. The shake was rich and creamy. The avocado was fresh, the sandwich fine. Communication in the restaurant was lacking. I gather that ordering ahead is the way to avoid this going forward. They don't seem to be back into the dine in phase of reopening fully. read more

Ordered a sandwich for lunch. Went and picked up my order only to get back to find that they put the wrong sandwich in my bag. Called the store and they wanted me to walk back down to get my correct sandwich. I said that was not possible as it took me half my lunch break to walk down and get back. Would not deliver my correct sandwich as they said they were unable to. Then offered a refund and said it may be Friday before I get my money back! So now I'm out of a lunch due and my money due to their error. This is not the first time having issues with this location. Be sure to check your order before leaving because they have issues with getting your order correct. I am not sure I will go to this store again. Four days later and still no refund. Store manager said he would look into this and still have not heard back. The is some of the worst customer service I've have ever had. I wanted to shout out Austin at the oletangy location in Columbus Ohio, because I called in to ask about the sandwiches because since I'm pregnant I can't eat deli meat and he reassured me even though I was ordering through door dash he'd make sure the meat was double cooked for me for safety, and just took time out of his day to make sure I could enjoy the sandwich I wanted safely and their food is always super delicious and I've never had an issue with missing or wrong items. Toady I place an order for Lunch for my self and a friend total 42.35, Order was placed at 8:00 am for a 12:00 delivery, received confirmation that my order was received. About noon I called the store because I tracked the order and it was still only received. They said they have no control of when they pick up the order, waited another 15 minutes and called back was placed on hold and no one came back. It is now 3:17 and no one has called me back from the corporate office. They took the money out of my account but never delivered the food. This Potbelly is conveniently located for anyone working in downtown offices, but service is extremely hit or miss. I can't count how many times I've ordered a sandwich or salad to go from this location, and sometimes the staff is perfectly friendly and efficient; other times, frankly rude. My most recent stop here was probably the worst of the bunch - one of the staff members working behind the counter seemed extremely put off by the tasks at hand (adding the extras to sandwiches after heating). This employee barely spoke to me at all and more or less grunted after I asked for pickles, onion, and tomato, and seemed to move at an intentionally glacial pace, despite the long line building up behind and in front of me. To be fair, I've been here before when the line is very long and employees are taking orders on tablets of people later in the line to keep things moving. As I said, the level of service is inconsistent. For such a centrally located business downtown which is expected to have large lunch crowds, it's unfortunate that the service can be so unfriendly and below average at times, especially given that the food is pretty reliable, and Potbelly is an affordable and decently healthy option (for what I personally order). read more

When taking orders, the little fellah at the front will ask patrons what they want as soon as they get in the livestock-chute thing for the queue. You'll have just walked in, 7 people deep, and you're forced to shout your order over everyone's heads. BIG WRECK! BIG WRECK RIGHT HERE!!!! People will say that I am an idiot and that I was in the wrong, but when I witness one thing and get treated another way kind of upsets me. As I walked up to the door I witnessed a customer walk in, go to the counter, and leave with food without wearing a mask. As I was approaching the door they were heading to it, so I held the door for them since their hands were full. I took one step inside, since it was cool outside I didn't want to hold the door open and let all the cold air in. My hand was in my pocket grabbing my mask. The guy behind the counter immediately blurted something out at me, I couldn't understand him but asked if they were still open since a lot of the businesses in the area were closed and I wasn't sure if that was an internet order running late. He then sternly tells me something again and points out every door. That's when I figured he was upset at me because I had entered without a mask on even though they just had a customer enter and grab food then leave without a mask on. The forceful demeanor from him about the mask wasn't necessary. I get it, masks are required inside and I was in the process of getting mine out to put on, but before my second foot even touched their tile I was getting attacked about it. So instead, I just turned around and walked out since I was obviously bothering him. Whenever I came to Columbus in the past I would come here since it was convenient to the hotel, now I will not nor will I recommend it to anybody I travel with. I'm not a millennial powderpuff and can handle someone not being nice to me, but customer service is customer service and the guy behind the counter could have approached the situation differently. The main reason for this review is because I saw a customer enter and get food without a mask on and I step one foot inside the door and get attacked for not having my mask on right away because I was holding the door for one of their customers and did not want to let a lot of cold air inside while I put my mask on. read more

Lunch at Potbelly? YES. Anytime. Count me in. Incredible, delicious, hot and crunchy - PERFECT, any way you like it. There's a long line, but from the 5-min wait alone you get so hungry that you can't wait to reach the counter. They have all the options you can imagine. A skinny sandwich, a regular sandwich. What kind of bread? What kind of fillings? How would you like it - hot, cold, toasted? What kind of sauce? YUMMY. The staff will do anything for you. They'll make it just how you like it; they'll even make suggestions if you're a regular. This place is dangerous. If I ate here everyday, I would get a pot belly. And I wouldn't care one bit, because I'd get to eat at Potbelly. But if you want to take the risk, get the milkshake with oreos to go along with your meal. They have little tiny oreos on the straw. I understand that now things take a little longer and there is a process, but this manager was rude, unprofessional and condescending.
