Just picked up another sandwich and while I'm eating it, writing review HOW GOOD IT IS OMG!! I ordered Mediterranean sandwich with chicken and on thin crusty bread. You won't regret about it! And their hummus is soo good! I'm also satisfied by their worker that made my sandwich, he was very kind and responsible. There was also a girl that didn't listen to me and did wrong sandwich at first ( she was also talking to another worker while making it), however their guy worker fixed it. After being tired of all my usual sandwich places, I decided to try this place out. Love the decor and wood motif. Ordered the roast beef sandwich and didn't realize that they automatically cook the sandwich. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor! This was mighty delicious. Way better than subway. I had the "A wreck" with bacon, because I'm a fatty and some condiments and it was a warm, toasted adventure to fullsville. This is my second time at any Potbelly, but my first time at a stand-alone shop. My very first time at a Potbelly was at an airport location, and I could've sworn it was in SLC, but I could be wrong. The guy who took my order here said that I may have been at Chicago's Midway airport, but I always use O'Hare/ORD, so who knows? And you're probably saying "who cares?," right? So on to the food... Ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich with the special hot sauce. And this sauce is truly special, because it only contains peppers and other seasonings, maybe water. That's it. No cornstarch, corn syrup, or other corn derivatives, or even mustard, or tomato sauce. Nothing to keep me from ordering the sandwich. And am I glad I tried it! Had it on a whole grain whole wheat roll, and it came with blue cheese crumbles, as well. Very delicious! I also tried an oat-chocolate chip cookie that had only one questionable ingredient, which is palm oil. No corn syrup, cornstarch, or baking powder! Still very warm and full of semi-melted and gooey chocolate chips- HEAVEN! The package says it contains 420 calories... I had a couple of bites and was good. I suggest sharing it with friends, or be prepared to warm it up in its wax envelope in the microwave for about 45 seconds to soften it up. Not quite as good as it was when fresh a few days before. It was kind of sad, actually. Better to just share it with someone else... I'll definitely come back to try another sandwich, or perhaps a salad. Potbelly sells hand-dipped milkshakes and yogurt smoothies, as well, but they're off-limits to me since both ice cream and smoothie bases contain corn syrup. :( read more

I went here for the first time recently. I was in the area and all of the other lunch options in that center didn't look appealing to me. So you don't look like a total newb - you order your sandwich and that person puts the basic ingredients on it, then sends it through a toaster conveyor belt, when it comes out the other end someone else puts your choices of condiments on it, wraps it up and then you pay and either sit down or leave. They have a number of choices and it's nice that they list the nutritional details on their menu board. I went with a friend and, totally ignoring the valuable nutritional information, we got the chicken/cheddar and the Italian and shared 1/2 each. Both were pretty good. Certainly not the best sandwiches I've ever had but better than Subway by a mile and much much better than a fast food burger. Two sandwiches, two fountain drinks - $11. Well worth it. First time eating at a Potbelly shop. To be honest, I came here because I was looking at stocks to invest in and I read that Potbelly was good. My impression? They are so good that I feel bad for the Wildflower bread company a few shops down. Don't get me wrong, Wildflower is good, and is great for business lunches or perhaps bringing your parents to; but for the average Joe who just wants a cheap, delicious, lunch, you can't compete with Potbelly in terms of price vs quality. I think Potbelly will steal a lot of customers away from Wildflower who don't feel like paying 7-10 bucks for a sandwich. Great place. Amazing chicken and cheddar sandwich. read more

I've eaten at Potbelly before. And I really love the sandwiches. It's a great place! Also, to be fair, I could have written many good reviews from previous visits before this one... I went in to grab a sandwich to go this afternoon as I have many times before. As I walked in, there was a young man and two women working that I could see. The guy had just finished cleaning some tables in the restaurant and walked back around the corner. As I was standing waiting for one of them to help me, he put his towel down and started telling his coworkers how he believes he saw two people walk out of the same restroom together. He then stated that there is no way he was going to go into that bathroom and clean up after them. I'm assuming he said this because he thought there could have been semen or other bodily fluids in the bathroom. I will clarify I never heard him actually say the word "semen," but one can connect the dots as to what he was implying. With his next breath, he turned slightly and asked me what I would like to eat. I told him I had lost my appetite after overhearing their conversation and walked out. One of his female coworkers followed me out and asked, "Sir, is there a problem?" I told her after their conversation, I'd simply lost my appetite and continued to leave. I understand you cannot control everything that happens in restaurants. I also understand it's probably far fetched to think that two people actually had sex in a Potbelly bathroom. But to joke about it in front of a hungry customer about to hand over his money was horrifying. I'll be going to other sandwich shops from now on. read more

I was super excited when I saw they added a Potbelly to North Scottsdale. Today was my second visit. I had the Chicken and Cheddar sandwich, it's very basic. Chicken, Cheese, Bread (lettuce, tomato, pickles) but it was phenomenal. I also added a cup of vegetable soup which was surprisingly very tasty. I ordered online this time, my sandwich was ready but they still needed to scoop the soup which I appreciated. Nothing worse than cold soup. read more

Just wanted to let you know that I love your sandwiches, but i would also like you to know that the employees working Friday June 21st around 1:10pm at this store and also Charlie at the Hayden location provided excellent customer service. My online order from website ended up not reaching the Hayden store however I recieved a confirmation email about being charged and that my food would be ready. I didnt find this out till my boyfriend went to pick up at the location nearest his work at Thunderbird. So I sent the order to the wrong store, it never made it through the system at Hayden, but I was charged for it. So now my boyfriend doesn't have a lunch ordered on his short lunch break. Now I thought all was lost and being awasted time, effort, and a free perk because I thought he was going to have to reorder and pay at the Thunderbird location because they couldn't even find the online order at the Hayden store( it never went through). But No the employees at both stores saved the day while I was on the phone with Charlie at Hayden figuring out if they recieved my order and how i would get a refund from online if my boyfriend had to pay for the sandwiches in person. He told me everything I needed to know about getting a refund after he looked in his system for the order. While Im on the phone with the Hayden location the employees working at Thunderbird did everything to help my boyfriend get his food on his lunch break including taking his word by stating that I had already paid for the order online at the other location. They took his word got him the sandwiches he ordered on the house and everything was great and handled as perfect as the whole senario could allow it. Thanks for the great customer service that prevented me from wasting time, money, and effort coordinating lunch from home for the ones i love. I have driven by this PotBelly hundreds of times and have seen them popping up in quite a few places lately. I have always had the intention to stop in. Well, I was finally able to do so. When you walk in the first thing you notice is the funky décor. Made to look like an older restaurant, I almost think they tried a little to hard, and don't really see how it ties in to the food they sell. But thats just my own little opinion and does not contribute to my star count or return factor! They have a large selection of sandwiches that are all put through the oven and a soup of the day. The sandwiches are good, but are very small. I found myself leaving hungry. I'm sure I will stop in again sometime but only of I'm looking for a quick snack as for me this was not a meal. This was our first time eating at Potbelly. We had the pleasure of Andrew greeting us and helping us with our order. There was a minor mistake made (hot peppers in the sandwich vs. on the side (which we requested). Andrew was quick to apologize and made us a replacement sandwich on the house which we were not expecting. My 2 year old loved is food as well and the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies definitely have his seal of approval lol. We look forward to coming back. read more

I ordered sandwiches and made sure I had them in detail and special instructions and one of my coworkers got her sandwich with avocado on it (she is allergic) and my other coworker who is an extreme vegetarian got his sandwich with CHICKEN on it!!! I ordered the vegetarian sandwich as it comes why would you put chicken on it??? I could understand the avocado accident but I mean come on take this stuff seriously you never know who could be allergic to what. This is the first time I have eaten here and I was less than impressed. I had the farmhouse salad. This was supposed to come with romaine and spinach. I had literally one piece of spinach. I never heard of this place until one appeared in north Scottsdale so I checked it out. I've ordered two sandwiches from here so far and loved them. My favorite is the Pizza Sandwich; a sub with pepperoni and meatballs, its quite impressive. Pricing isn't too bad with a sandwich, chips and a drink running around $8 to $10. She and I found this place just as underrated as our Jimmy John's in Flagstaff. Went to potbelly with my husband today and had less then a satisfactory visit. We were greeted, actually greeted wouldn't be the term I would use. We were looked at by a gentleman named Ney. Right from the start this man had an attitude. It was clear he hated being there. It started off with even a simple choice of bread size being a hassle for him. I had never eaten there before so we were just trying to understand the portion sizes. I inquired about the skinny sandwich with soup and he told me they just scoop out the bread. I laughed and said the bread is the best ha ha. I got an eye roll. Not off to the best start. We were more excited just to try the food since thank goodness we didn't have to deal with him much longer. Experience started out with the soup being cold and then I found a hair in my tuna. My luck I had to deal with Ney again he didn't say anything about the hair not an apology or anything just a "I will remake it". After almost eating hair that's the last thing you want. I asked for a refund on the sandwich, he did, but the whole time didn't say a word to me. It was so awkward and uncomfortable. To me this is not a good example of customer service. I was ready to write this place off and never come back again. Thankfully a gentleman by the name of Todd was working there. He was so apologetic and sweet about the whole situation and that's really all we wanted. He did however take care of our meal which was above and beyond. He seemed like he really cared and you could tell he listened to my concerns rather then giving me a blank stare. Thanks to Todd and his amazing customer service we will be back. I understand mistakes happen so I wasn't mad about the hair. I was mad about the lack of customer service received by Ney from start to finish. Called back and spoke to a gentleman named Matt who was extremely helpful and pleasant and he informed me Todd was the GM. Clearly the management had a great understanding of how to talk and deal with customers and situations that may arise. Now if only you could teach that to some others. Pleasantly surprised I have never been here before so I decided to try it based on the good reviews and I was very happy I did. I ordered the meatball on white with everything on it -the bread was fresh and toasty! You have a choice of what sides to put on. I just had them put everything on it and I loved it. I definitely will be back it tasted better than most. The only negative that I had was I saw one of the sandwich makers scratch his head with his glove that he was supposed to be assembling sandwiches with so I would watch out for the employees and please change your gloves more often. read more

Another one of our staple stops for a quick bite on the way home. My boyfriend orders a soup and sub at least 3 times a week from this location and always is extremely happy. Sadly today he came home, took a big bite and it was full of peppers which he hates :( already settled in not wanting to go back, I gave them a call and instantly was greeted by Kailey who took complete control of the situation, offered every solution possible- and made us regulars feel important.
