These veggies are difficult to cook well for a sandwich, but they were all soft enough for delicious clean bite without being soggy. The sandwich roll is a soft bun that makes Fried Ravioli This is a meal by itself. Mixed greens as a bed under piping hot ravioli filled with ricotta. It is accompanied by a salad dressing and tomato sauce. It's not "healthy", but certainly seems a healthier choice than the giant potion of French fries they serve out. Plus... These have cheese! I ordered: *Fried Ravioli: This was a special for the day. I burned my tongue BUT it was super tasty. I've never had fried ravioli before. I like that it was on a bed on salad so it soaked up some of the oil. Either way, this needs to get in my belly again. *Caprese: This may be the BEST caprese I've had EVER, better than any italian restaurant in LA so far. Very simple seasoned with salt & pepper. Nice People; Nice Menu; Nice Truck But the sandwich was very plain and uninspiring. I ordered a Prosciutto Sandwich which according to the menu came with mozzarella, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo. I questioned the concept of mayo and prosciutto together as I had never had that kind of sandwich before, but it turns out I needn't had worried. There was barely enough prosciutto on the sandwich to register on my taste buds. Om a more positive note. this was only the 3rd day they have been in business, and the owners Fabiana and Luis seemed like nice people. Perhaps I would have been better off ordering the Pasta or the Empenadas, the sandwich was 6.95 including taxes, and they did offer Diet Coke in the 20 oz bottles for just a dollar more. So there is some value there; but c'mon Luis Prosciutto is about 10 bucks a pound retail. That's about 62 cents an ounce or less depending on which vendor you use. The design of the this truck gives off a hip and inviting vibe to it even if it's all dark with a couple of squiggly colored lines. So even if I just had a couple of other trucks I simply had to try something from there. In saying that, I didn't have much from this truck. But that's not because of a lack of quality. Just about everything on the menu looked pretty tasty, aslo pretty filling. My venture into this food truck was for a simple salad. A simple, yet really delicious caprese salad. And really cheap over all. I mean, the whole truck had a wide variety of sandwiches that landed in the $7-8 range. Which really were well packed. I was sort of regretting being already full when I hit this truck. The nono's prosciutto sandwich looked really good. As well as their grilled sandwiches looked pretty warm and tasty. But here I am with salad and like the Simpsons have taught us, you can't win friends with salad. But what a salad can win you is that final push to fullness. And that's where I was. I am ambivalent about my experience here. On one hand I'm quite upset that it took Pranzo's 28 minutes to make a caprese sandwich for me. I mean they don't cook anything for this sandwich...maybe they have a cow that they're hiding in the back that they had to milk to get the cheese? There were only three other people ahead of me, and they looked equally upset that their orders were also taking forever and a day. I mean isn't the point of a food truck supposed to be a grab n' go? You shouldn't have to wait longer than you do at a sit down establishment after you order to get your food. I'm incredibly annoyed that my $11 sandwich combo that took way too long to receive was sub-par at best, starting with the most anemic looking fries I have ever seen in my life. I mean literally, these fries were almost as white as the mozzarella in my sandwich, which means they were cooked in oil that wasn't heated properly and will likely be greasy and limp. Speaking of mozzarella, that was actually quite good, firm and milky and clean tasting, to none of Pranzo's credit it appears, but if they do indeed have the aforementioned secret cow they are milking to make the cheese, that cow is quite stingy, because I only got a thin slice of it in a sea of soul-less,flavorless sliced tomatoes and bruised basil ribbons (Why did they even need to slice up the basil? Would have been much better if they just left the basil whole). On the other hand, I feel like I should thank Pranzo because it's food establishments like these that have given up on food quality and customer service and even working as a team (i.e. I didn't hear ANYONE talk to each other on the truck, just a lot of panicked shuffling around and someone threw a basket of fries into the grease vat while another bowl stayed getting cold on the counter for at least 10 minutes...O_O) that only encourage me to stay on track with planning my meals, cooking my own food and being in control of what I feed myself. Never again will I be at the mercy of culinary mediocrity simply because I didn't have time to pack and prepare myself a healthy and delicious meal the night before. For that, and for not getting me sick with your food, you get an extra star, Pranzo. So as I chew on my flacid, oily, white-as-cheese fry I am grateful to you, Pranzo, for your $11 reminder and lesson for why I should get back into my kitchen - so I will never have to order from your truck again! read more

Ordered the Turkey Avocado sandwich. It was okay. I guess it's a good deal since you get a huge sandwich for only $8. But you can definitely tell that the turkey they use is the pre-sliced kind, as it has that brine-y taste and slimy texture. Same goes for the 'avocado' - it tastes like cheap, pre-made guacamole dip from Ralph's or something. Honestly, the bread was probably the best part. I caught up with the Pranzo Truck at Granada Hills on a cold and chilly night but it was well worth it. Staff: The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful in accommodating their customers.. I was being picky about my order and they were patient. Food: They offer sandwiches, paninis, pastas, and salads all made from fresh ingredients. I ordered the Grilled Veggie Panini which included roasted eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash, red peppers, feta cheese, and mayo on sourdough but I got mine on multigrain bread. The veggies were grilled just enough to make them tender but not soft or soggy. The only thing I did not like was the panini was a bit oily but besides that 2 thumbs up The Veggie Panini is definitely something I would order again. @pranzotruck More often than not I subscribe to the notion that if a truck has a special, something not normally on the menu, it;s something they probably took their time about creating and it's worth a shot. Such is the case with Pranzo. I tried a chicken pesto sandwich they had on special one night in Granada Hills. It was big, flavorful, big, well balanced, big, not too juicy, big and did I mention it was rather large! It was enough to make me a fan of this truck that seems to be prone to mechanical problems from time to time. They were supposed to come to my workplace once and were prevented from doing so by mechanical problems. Perhaps in the future we'll see them at DTV. But since I live in The Valley, a once in a while visit to Granada Hills will have to do. One thing I will say is if you try them, be hungry. Their portions are huge! I hired the Pranzo truck for a private party. They are the nicest people, were so great to work with and everyone LOVED the food. We decided on a menu of 4 sandwiches - steak, veggie, sausage and a chicken sandwich plus a caprese salad and fried ravioli. I personally ate the steak and sausage sandwiches and the ravioli. Not only were the sandwiches and bread incredible, but they were huge! My wife had the veggie sandwich and her only complaint was that someone at our party threw the 2nd half away when cleaning up and she was saving it for later because she loved it so much. Found them at Studio location near 101 exit. Being healthy and compassionate, I ordered the vege sandwich, $8. With fries and soda will cost $4 more. The sourdough bread has really good texture and you can feel that they grilled the breads, a big plus since not many places have this kind of thoughtfulness. No, thank you. Here was my experience. I ordered the grilled cheese (granted this is not an exciting choice but honestly the menu isn't exciting). It was supposed to come as a pressed panini on sourdough. Multiple cheeses. As I picked up my sandwich I was told - "we're out of sourdough. But this focaccia is really good!" umm thanks for not telling me that when I ordered. Fail on one count. Panini's need a thin slice of bread. The sandwich a) was not pressed (since it was just too thick) and b) all the cheese came out of the bottom and stuck to the paper. THe bread to filling ratio was ridiculous. If your specialty is sandwiches - then this type of basic sandwich construction should not be an issue. And the sandwhich was bland and pretty boring. So not close to being worth $7.25. read more

For really fresh sandwiches and salads Pranzo is the way to go! They come weekly to our offices in Burbank. Luckily that allows me to sample pretty much everything on their menu. The caprese salad is HUGE! I usually take half of it home for dinner. An absolute must-try item is the spinach and cheese empanadas. Not only are they a good portion and can account for your lunch alone. It's extremely flavorful, not greasy and requires no additional sauce with it. - completely stands alone by itself! Turkey sandwiches are really good, and chicken pesto sandwiches. I love their homemade pesto sauce so I have that added to every sandwich that I order . The owners are very nice, friendly people and are very dependable with their menu and flavors each week. Give them a try - you won't regret it! read more

I've had the chicken sandwich twice now and it's super yummy! This truck is conveniently at my work building once a week, but it's also a quality sandwich. The only downside is it usually takes awhile (maybe 10 minutes or so) for the sandwich to be made, but it's so delicious that it doesn't bother me. The ingredients are fresh and high quality. So these guys rolled up to CHLA the other day for nurses week and I decided to give them a try. I got the turkey sandwich with garlic bread substituted for whatever it normally comes on. Friggin' amazing. It was 6 bucks, but I couldn't finish it. The sandwich was huge. I had lunch for two days. There was plenty of turkey and tomatoes, the garlic bread added great flavor too. The spring mix had some sort of dressing I think because it had a bit of tanginess to it, but I couldn't really tell because of the mayo & mustard. The only thing I would like would be a bit more bacon, you could hardly tell it was there because there was so much of everything else. I love me some food, and there beef empanadas rock. I guess they say Italian/Argentinan, I think Argentinian is what I took away from it. The empanadas were worth the price 4 sure, the shell was cooked(baked?) just golden and the beef was flavorful and spice filled (not hot spicy, spices spicy).
