FANTASTIC service!!! We had Precision come out for our garage door on a weekend when we needed it fixed pronto. Daniel came out fairly quickly and gave us a reasonable quote. Work was done on the spot and he even cleaned up after himself. Very friendly, very clean, very professional. While he was at our house, we had him look at our neighbors door... he gave them a quote that was more reasonable than the quotes they had been getting from several other places, he even fixed their door same day!! Daniel did a great job. It turned out I needed a new opener. The one I had was from 1997, and it gave out. He gave me a run down of the problem, gave me options and was able to make the repair within an hour. He walked me through how to set up the app and connect my opener to the WiFi. I wasn't planning on spending as much as I did, the price was a bit high, but overall I'm happy. read more

Called around to multiple garage service company and almost all of them charge an inspection fee, except for Precision. After appt was scheduled they provided a 2 hour window for technician arrival. They gave me an estimate and was able to service the garage repair same day. Had almost all parts to the garage replaced, now my garage is so smooth when it closed and opens. It's also quieter. We love the WiFi smart feature being able to open & close the garage door with our smart phone. Thanks Eddie & Mike. Highly recommend Precision for their precise and reliable service read more

Tech came on June 18th and stated he couldn't order a part until Monday due to the holiday, that was fine. He stated he would come to install on Tuesday, no call no show on Tuesday. I called the direct company line on Wednesday, now they state cannot install the part until July 1 even though they have obtained the part. Waste of time. When I called to cancel of course they cannot get ahold of the people so I can cancel due to the extended time even though their site states same day read more

Amazing service! Came home to a broken garage door spring. Called Precision at 5pm and made an appointment for the next morning. The technician, Matthew M., called to let me know he was on his way and provided good communication throughout. His professionalism and knowledge of the work to be performed was excellent. Matthew took the time to listen to all my questions and concerns, then presented me with 3 options: good, better, best. I didn't feel pressured. One of My over head torsion spring broken. I called Wednesday night to schedule appointment. I was afforded Thursday morning appointment but asked for Saturday 8:00am/12:00pm. Sergio was very professional and highly experienced. I was only going to replace 2 torsion spring because of the cost, but after Sergio started taking thing apart he noticed I had multiple issues with bearings worn out and damaged tube. Bad service and attitude from technician. I called them to install new springs for door and belt for opener. It took 10 seconds for him to pull the springs into their fitting but he charged me $250 for "hanging door". He said all of the other stuff they usually do is not necessary. He then charged me $120 for a programming fee for adjusting the limits on the opener and another $90 for "lube and tune" which involved tightening the belt nut. All the time he was trying to sell me a new commercial opener. To add insult to injury, the opener was still not working properly when he left!! After posting my original review, a representative called and wanted further detail regarding my experience. They ended up refunding me $250 which I greatly appreciate. read more

Our two year old garage door opener quit going down. I suspected a sensor alignment issue, but when I attempted to fix it neither sensor had an indicator light. I checked a couple reviews online, called the number for Precision and reached Zach on the third ring. He had Josh (who is amazing!) to us within a couple of hours (which was also amazing!). Josh assessed the situation, provided a quote, and fixed the problem in about an hour. He also serviced the system and door while on site. We have added Precision to our list of home repair providers and plan to call them again for regular service or if another problem arises. Thank you! read more

We had our garage door motor replaced. The technician/installer from Precision was excellent. It was all redone the same day I called and took maybe 2 hours. Besides the motor, the rollers, remotes, eye-beams and track were all replaced and the door was adjusted and properly lubricated. We went top of the line with motor & accessories and are very pleased. The only thing that surprised me was of course the cost. It was roughly double what I thought it would be, but that's the way things are these days and it had been probably 10 years since I priced it all out, so welcome to reality. Overall-we are very pleased and would not hesitate to call Precision in the future. read more

Even though I only called the company to have a backup battery changed, he performed a thorough inspection of my garage door that probably was never updated in the last 40 to 50 years, except for a new motor that I purchased 7 years ago. I already had a Precision Garage Door Opener but the weather strip on the door had been dinner for a rodent & needed replacing. Daniel came out today & assessed the situation. I told him he could be as creative as he'd like in order to outsmart the next rodent party. Daniel proceeded to install a metal strip then the rubber so that should stall & hopefully deter the next rodent raid. Thank you Daniel for being a breath of fresh air when it comes to the quality assurance. Had an expensive door put in less than a year ago and they didn't give us any options for the upgraded motor (which would've been a yes) that could handle the weight. We have the "whisper" quiet and it was definitely not even quiet. That's why we had to call for service. So now that Daniel came and fixed it, it's actually quiet. Again, thank you Daniel. We've been coming across a lot of shady businesses in the last couple years. It's nice to have some honesty for a change. read more

I had called back after our phone call and left a message requesting if they could either call or text when they were 15-20 mins away just in case I was out running errands or busy on a call at work. That didn't happen. I was out doing an errand. Around 8:45 Adam shows up and I'm not home. Luckily I left the side door open for him to inspect everything. I rushed home and spoke to Adam who inspected everything he said yup, for sure our spring needed to be replaced. We also had him change out both garage door cables too. After about 30-45 mins Adam was done! Boom! Garage door was able to open no problem! Adam was kind enough to give me a quick 101 on how to maintain our garage door too. I'd give this company 5 stars because of how fast and efficient Adam worked. Only thing I would have knocked off for was if they could've just shot me a quick text/call on their way over. I get it, they give a 2 hour window, but there's a lot that could be done within 2 hrs especially if you have to work.

I was concerned about the cost- researched online for the repair he recommended but found nothing that came close to the $1,700 quote. I decided to check in with my contractor after I authorized work, he questioned the tech about the cost of service over the phone. I sent my contractor a video of the service tech said he performed. Contractor told tech parts would be at the most $300. So Sunwest was charging me $1,400 for labor??? That's just unethical! I'm attaching their "bill of sale" that simply lists the condition of my garage door -not the work they claimed to be performing. On top of the ridiculous up charge the vendor never offered me the least expensive repair option of around $500 that's listed. I again questioned the cost and expressed that I could possibly get a new door for that much money. The tech went as far as telling me a new door, after Covid and prices rising, would cost me $6k. My contractor said he would get a complete new system installed for under $2k. In the end I refused service and asked them to restore my garage door as it was. The tech got his boss on the line and asked me to talk so we could come to some sort of discount. I refused to do business with them. And when given clear proof of their wrong doing they walked away without charging a service fee I thank my contractor who saved me from this scam of a company who in the end apologized for the over charge and didn't charge me for the mediocre job performed.

It was time to replace it with something sturdier and less likely to warp, shrink, fade. I did a lot of research on what materilas would best hold up to the brutal So Cal summers we have. I also had to keep within the Architectural guidelines of our HOA for fences. I found a company in Orange, CA, called SoCal Gates. I established contact with the owner, Ray, who is a really knowledgeable and personable guy to work with. We scheduled an appointment for him to come to our home to show us color samples of the composite material we would choose for him to use in our steel framed gate. Ray arrived, and had us look at the different colored composite samples while he took his measurements. He then went over with us the color choices and which ones would intergrate best with our home's exterior colors, including the tiled roof and front entry door and garage door. He explained how he visualized the gate would look, once mounted. We agreed on the materials and and the price. He mentioned that his installation pricing included the removal of the gate from the cinder block wall it was attached to, but did not include the removal of the old fence post or the haul away fo the old fence. After hiring another fence company to remove the fence post, back fill with concrete and haul away all of the old fence, Ray told he would've done it had I specifically asked him, for an extra charge.
